Star Magazine reports that the magic is back between the two former lovebirds, who broke up in February after dating for four months.

It doesn’t hurt that the 33-year-old former reality star has moved to Angel’s stomping ground, Las Vegas, to perform in Peepshow at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

“Holly still had feelings for Criss, so around mid-June she gave him a call,” says a source. “She was thrilled when he asked to meet for drinks. They’ve seen each other a few times since!”

Did Kendra Wilkinson’s wedding make Holly realize that she wasn’t over her illusionist boyfriend? Hugh Hefner may be watching another one of his former girlfriends walk down the aisle soon!

The New York Post reports that the Mindfreak star has been accused of stealing Hamlet, a feline belonging to Beacher’s Madhouse revue impresario Jeff Beacher, and the case may go to court.

According to Beacher’s lawyer, Robert Reynolds, his client acquired Hamlet after his parents passed away two years ago. Because Beacher was residing at Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel at the time, Beacher left Hamlet in the care of his friend, Jennifer Madden, until he could find his own place.

And that’s when Angel allegedly made his kitty-napping move. 

In a letter to Angel, Reynolds writes, “Soon thereafter, while still grieving over the recent loss of his father, my client received a phone call from you stating, ‘I took your cat. He lives with me now’ . . . This action was against the will of Ms. Madden and Mr. Beacher. I also understand that you made further bizarre allegations, including, ‘The cat no longer likes you’ and ‘The cat and I have become close friends.’”

Threatening legal actions if Hamlet isn’t returned, Reynolds writes, “Perhaps you are not aware of the legal consequences . . . The deprivation of my client’s pet for an extended period of time is a clear violation of his rights . . .”

Too bad Angel couldn’t hold onto a certain bunny as tenaciously as he’s allegedly kept this cat in his possession.

The finale, taped last October when the girls all split from “boyfriend” Hugh Hefner and left the mansion, featured the ladies who enthralled us for five seasons with their Playmate antics going their separate ways.

Kendra left to eventually get engaged to NFL star Hank Baskett (and land her own solo reality show for E!), and Bridget was off to work as a host for the Travel Channel.

Madison—seen here in a very Doris Day-type dress at the Foxtail nightclub in Hollywood on Saturday night—recently had another occasion to turn on the waterworks.

Shortly after bailing on Hef—and her Playboy photo-editing gig—to spend more time with with her boyfriend, illusionist Criss Angel in Las Vegas, her romance with her magic man disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Judging from Madison’s 1,000-watt smile as she entered the Foxtail this weekend, though, she seems to be over it.

E! Online reports that Girls Next Door star Madison and Mindfreak illusionist Angel have broken up, after what seemed like a magical four-month relationship.

The split was reportedly mutual, and due primarily to demanding business obligations. “It was a conflict of schedules,” says a source close to the former couple. “She felt she couldn’t devote 100 percent of her time in Vegas and his career at the expense of her career and her goals.”

Adds the source, “She was very much in love with him, and they’re still very close friends.”

Madison, 29, moved into Angel’s Las Vegas digs in December. Earlier this month, she quit her editor position at Playboy so that she could spend more time with her beau. The Playmate—who was born in Oregon—has since moved back in with her family.

Up until very recently, things seemed to be going fine with the relationship. The duo appeared to be happy when they attended Sports Illustrated covergirl Bar Refaeli’s Sports Illustrated bash at Vegas’ LAX, and were spotted smooching in Vegas on the big day itself.

Just goes to show, your eyes can sometimes deceive you. But then, anyone who’s ever seen Angel’s act already knew that.

Madison used her Celebrity MySpace blog to explain why she quit and what her future plans are.

“One: I moved to Vegas, and that job doesn’t pay enough to make a commute worthwhile,” she writes. (Angel, known for his TV series Mindfreak, performs his show five nights a week at the Luxor Hotel in Vegas.)

But Madison, who was one of the three original Girls Next Door, also abandoned the publilshing gig partly due to her former boyfriend, 82-year-old Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. It seems she found the workplace environment a tad uncomfortable after the two split up in October. 

“It was awkward. Not that anyone tried to make it awkward or didn’t treat me fairly…it just was,” Madison admits.

Holly’s fellow Girls have also moved on. Bridget Marquardt is working on a travel show, Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches, for the Travel Channel, and Kendra Wilkinson is shooting a new E! reality show with her fiancé, NFL player Hank Baskett.

Of course, Hef seems to have his hands full these days too; his latest Girls Next Door,  22-year-old psychology student Crystal Harris and twin medicinal marijuana procurers Karissa and Kristina Shannon, 19, seem to keep him pretty busy.

Holly Madison—who split from sugar-granddaddy Hugh Hefner in October and subsequently fell into the arms of telegenic illusionist Criss Angel—says she’s prepared to tie the knot with her magic man.  She will even do the proposing when the time comes.

“I actually made Criss a paper ring, but he won’t wear it,” Madison told Us Magazine at the couple’s joint birthday party (Angel turned 41 on Friday; Madison turns 29 on Tuesday) at the LAX nightclub in Las Vegas last week. “When he starts wearing his paper ring, I will be the one to propose.”

What? A Playboy Bunny, dropping to her knee? Well, obviously, Holly’s not a traditional gal.

And that suits her beau just fine. “You know, what Holly and I have is really something that money can’t buy. She is enough for me,” Angel told the magazine.

While the two might not be rushing to the altar immediately, they are taking a major step forward this week. Holly and Criss will share the Christmas holiday—which they’ll be spending in Vegas—with both sets of parents.

“That will be the first time they all meet,” Madison enthuses.

Sounds like a historical summit in the making. Hopefully Holly will remember to wear shoes to the gathering.

“I’m just kind of sad about my breakup with Hef,” she tells Extra. I wish he would’ve seen it coming. Everybody was surprised when it happened because even though I was unhappy for a long time, the split happened suddenly… The signs were there. I was depressed for awhile.” 

Madison says that the split occurred when she realized (uh, duh?) that Hef wasn’t about to marry her or father her children.

“I want to be with somebody I can have more of a future with eventually. Hef and I can’t get married and have kids…so it was fun while it lasted but it wasn’t right for my old age. I got too old for Hef.”

Holly, who is currently Mindfreaking illusionist Criss Angel, also added that Hef is still letting her stay in his guest room, and she hasn’t been kicked out of the Playboy mansion on her shapely ass just yet. She says that “my condo should be finished [soon].”

Who paid for that?

During the Friday opening of Angel’s new Cirque du Soleil show, Believe, Angel had profuse praise for his newest romantic assistant, former Hugh Hefner arm candy

“This is one of the most special evenings for me in my life and I can not think of a more beautiful person, a more special person, inside and out, than Holly to spend it with,” Angel raved.

Asked how he first became involved with Madison, Angel recalled, “I got lucky. I didn’t have a date and so she said, ‘I’ll come’. She makes me look good.”

True that, Criss. Especially compared to some of the companions you’ve been seen running around with lately.

Reality-TV vet and reliable lesbian Tila Tequila hosted the event, but she wasn’t the only luminary on hand to pop some tacos. Walking insomnia cure Criss Angel and fiery-tressed heartthrob Carrot Top brought their own brands of magic to the event.

Is there any chance that the phrase “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” can be interpreted as a legally binding agreement? Because that could be really good.

On the other hand, the last known sighting of Angel and Carrot Top together was at Pam Anderson‘s birthday party, so this is something of an improvement.

Baby steps…

Anderson and illusionist Angel are rumored to have swapped spit all night long, which might explain the strange redness on Pammie’s boob. Anderson and her entourage sipped on Grey Goost cocktails and Cristal champagne in a red-leather VIP booth. Guests included Three 6 Mafia, Andy Dick and Carrot Top.

Meanwhile, Anderson’s long-time on-again, off-again ex-husband Tommy Lee recently claimed that he and the former Baywatch star would give their relationship yet another try and have moved in together.

With Pammie cozy on Criss Angel, it sounds more and more like the whole Tommy “reconciliation” is a stunt for Anderson’s reality show Pam: Girl on the Loose.

Not that her reality needs any more “stunts.”
