The series, entitled <em>Cold Storage</em>, will be directed by the master of special effects, <strong>Greg Nicotero</strong>. <em>Cold Storage</em> will consist of four five-minute episodes focusing on the story of Josh Stewart, who&#8217;s trying to find his sister in the mist of the zombie apocalypse. For you <em>Lost</em> fans, <strong>Daniel Roebuck</strong> who played the unlucky Doc Artz will also star. <p>FOX’s revamped <em>The X Factor</em> with new judges <strong>Britney Spears</strong> and <strong>Demi Lovato</strong> improved its ratings in week 2 with 8.2 million viewers in its first hour and more than 10 million in its second. The reality show helped FOX edge out CBS for Wednesday night’s top spot overall and the ad-coveted 18-49 demographic. Meanwhile, the 25th season premiere of <em>Survivor</em> improved in its amount of total viewers as compared to last year.  [<a href="http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/09/tv-ratings-the-x-factor-improves-in-week-2-while-survivor-is-up-over-last-year.html">Zap2it</a>]</p>
<p>NBC’s <em>Revolution</em> creator, <strong>Eric Kripke</strong>, is bringing some familiar faces on board. The former <em>Supernatural</em> showrunner has tapped <strong>Mark Pellegrino</strong>, <strong>Todd Stashwick</strong> and <strong>Colin Ford</strong> for guest appearances on his new post-apocalyptic show. All three actors had previously popped up in the supernatural world. On <em>Revolution</em>, Pellegrino will play a militia officer in Episode 2; Stashwick will play a druglord in Episode 6 and Ford will play a boy taken by the militia in Episode 7. <p>TV shows tend to bring out all the big guest stars during November sweeps and <em>CSI:NY</em> is no exception. The CBS show will feature <strong>Kathleen York</strong> (<em>The West Wing</em>) and <strong>Niko Nicotera</strong> (<em>Sons of Anarchy</em>) on an episode about a drowning in Central Park’s Turtle Pond. <p>UrbanTarzan is coming to Spike TV. The extreme animal handler (formerly known as <strong>John Brennan</strong>) will be featured in <em>Urban Tarzan</em>, a half-hour series showcasing his insane missions to relocate dangerous and exotic animals including pythons and lions. The show will debut on Spike in the spring of 2013 and consist of 10 episodes. [<a href="http://www.spike.com/shows">Spike TV</a>]</p>
<p>A new look inside the Kennedy dynasty will be broadcast on HBO on Thursday, Oct. 18. The documentary, <em>Ethel</em>, which debuted at Sundance, takes a peek into the life of <strong>Robert F. Kennedy</strong>’s wife as given through interviews with her family. The film will also feature Ethel’s first interview in more than 20 years. <em>Ethel</em> is the first film made about the Kennedys from within the family. <p>Starz’ <em>Magic City</em> is adding some depth to it’s cast as Academy Award nominee <strong>James Caan</strong> has joined as Sy Berman, the head of the Chicago Mob. In addition to caan,<strong> Esai Morale</strong> (<em>Caprica</em>), <strong>Sherilyn Fenn</strong> (<em>Twin Peaks</em>,<em> Gilmore Girls</em>) and <strong>Jamie Harris</strong> (<em>Rise of the Planet of the Apes</em>) will also guest star in the second season. <p>Funnyman and host of <em>The Colbert Report</em>,<strong> Stephen Colbert</strong>, is celebrating Halloween on NBC’s <em>The Office</em>. Colbert will play a former member of the acappella group Here Comes Treble as Broccoli Rob. His character will duke it out with rival Andy (<strong>Ed Helms</strong>) after their stories about the groups origin differ. The episode will air Thursday, Oct. 25.
