This week, Tuesday offers a thriller in the home movie aisle!

In his first post Harry Potter offering, Daniel Radcliffe stars as a young lawyer in The Woman in Black.

Not only did his gothic horror movie wow critics in the U.S., it also took in a whopping $21 million at the box office over opening weekend.

Set in the early 1900′s, this dark tale finds him in investigating an evil haunting from a vengeful ghost terrorizing a small town.

Over the years, we’ve seen the Harry Potter star mature — and became of drinking age. The actor recently admitted that while filming the later movies in the series, he was actually drunk! He told Heat magazine:

“I can honestly say I never drank at work on ‘Harry Potter.’ I went into work still drunk, but I never drank at work. I can point to many scenes where I’m just gone. Dead behind the eyes.”

The Woman in Black is out Tuesday, May 22, 2012.

Look out, James Franco! There’s a new Allen Ginsberg in town.

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe was recently spotted filming scenes for his new movie Kill Your Darlings, in which he plays the role of the famous beat poet and man behind the controversial poem ‘Howl.’

The film, which is currently shooting in Brooklyn, NY, and co-stars Elizabeth Olsen, among others, is scheduled to hit theaters next year.

Of course, James Franco most recently portrayed Ginsberg in the 2010 movie Howl, about the creation of the poem and the headline-making lawsuit that followed. Despite mixed reviews, the film was awarded the Freedom of Expression Award by the National Board of Review.

Ending homophobia may take a little magic. The most famous wizard in the world is taking the issue head on — Expecto Patronum!

The Trevor project will debut a new PSA starring Daniel Radcliffe during tonight’s season finale of Glee, and the Harry Potter star is sounding off about his involvement in the cause.

“The fact that I am straight shows that straight people care about this as well,” he tells BulletMedia.com. You don’t necessarily have to be gay to take an interest. This is the one thing I am probably most passionate about.”

The actor has made his affection for several female celebs quite public recently, revealing on Watch What Happens Live which celebrity he’d stalk and which celeb’s bedroom he’d visit if he could cast an invisibility spell.

He confessed to wanting to stalk singer Katy Perry and says he’d spy on actress Scarlett Johansson –- though he admitted it’s only “because otherwise I reckon I wouldn’t get in there.”

Daniel Radcliffe gave another – how do we put this lightly? – revealing interview on last night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, during which he gave host Andy Cohen the rundown on which celebrity he’d stalk and which celeb’s bedroom he’d visit if he could cast an invisibility spell.

The spirited Harry Potter star was surprisingly honest, albeit tongue-in-cheek, when he confessed to wanting to stalk singer Katy Perry.

Of course, that answer should come as no surprise to any fan of Daniel; he recently revealed his crush in an interview last month. (Watch it here.)

As for who he’d spy on, Daniel went for another hottie – actress Scarlett Johansson – though he admits it’s only “because otherwise I reckon I wouldn’t get in there.”

Back in April, Rose spoke with us about kissing Daniel, admitting, “Fans always ask me at the stage door, ‘What’s it like to kiss Dan?!’ … I always tell them, it’s great. He’s wonderful.”

Daniel Radcliffe Is All Smiles At Paris Premiere of ‘The Woman in Black’ (PHOTOS)

Daniel Radcliffe was grinning from ear-to-ear at the Paris premiere of The Woman in Black on Tuesday evening – and for good reason! Not only did his gothic horror movie wow critics in the U.S., it also took in a whopping $21 million at the box office over the weekend.

Of course, it didn’t hurt that the former Harry Potter star looked extra-cute as he posed for photos on the red carpet in a gray suit and mustard tie. Our little Harry sure is growing up!

Meanwhile, Daniel is also making headlines for a recent interview he gave to the Radio Times, in which he alleged that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II, the final film in the Harry Potter franchise, was snubbed by the Oscars for being too “commercial.”

“I don’t think the Oscars like commercial films, or kids’ films, unless they’re directed by Martin Scorsese,” he said. “I was watching Hugo the other day and going, ‘Why is this nominated and we’re not?’ I was slightly miffed.”

here’s a certain amount of snobbery. It’s kind of disheartening. I never thought I’d care. But it would’ve been nice to have some recognition, just for the hours put in,” he added.

Who doesn’t have a crush on Ryan Gosling?! Daniel Radcliffe graced the UK cover of Attitude magazine and when asked who he’s admires among his peers, the Harry Potter star admitted (via Perez Hilton):

“This year I have a talent crush on Ryan Gosling. I think he’s fantastic and…(ahem) you know he’d be nice afterwards. He seems smart. If I was gay, I would go for a smart man.”

Daniel Radcliffe Admits to Being Drunk in Some ‘Potter’ Scenes

Though Daniel Radcliffe revealed he quit drinking a few months ago, it seems that his partying ways spilled over into his work life.

In an interview with British magazine, Heat, (via Reuters), the 22-year-old Harry Potter superstar said, “I have a very addictive personality. It was a problem. People with problems like that are very adept at hiding it. It was bad. I don’t want to go into details, but I drank a lot and it was daily – I mean nightly.”

The actor, who is currently starring in the thriller The Woman in Black, then admitted there are some scenes in the Potter franchise where he indeed had been drinking.

“I can honestly say I never drank at work on ‘Harry Potter.’ I went into work still drunk, but I never drank at work. I can point to many scenes where I’m just gone. Dead behind the eyes.”

Back in July, D-Rad admitted that his drinking had gotten out of control, and quit in order to lead a more relaxed lifestyle.

Daniel is currently happily dating Rosie Coker, and talked to Parade about his love life recently and said:

“When Rosie’s here, every day seems better….I’m not an easy person to love. There are lots of times when I’m a very good boyfriend, but there are times when I’m useless. I mean, I’m a mess around the house. I talk nonstop. I become obsessed with things. This year it’s fantasy football, which means Rosie has to listen to me talking 24 hours a day about this team. ‘Should I take this player out, do you think, darling?’ And she listens to it, and she loves me for my oddness, my awkwardness, all of those things that I hate about myself. She finds them cute. I guess that’s love.”

Box Office Battle: ‘Big Miracle’ vs. ‘The Woman in Black’ (POLL)

This weekend our Celebuzz box office battle features three very different flicks!

With the opening of the Drew Barrymore and John Krasinski heart warmer Big Miracle and Daniel Radcliffe‘s first post Harry Potter offering The Woman in Black, we have quite the showdown!

Audiences have been loving feel good movies along the lines of The Blind Side and Dolphin Tale lately, so the true story based Big Miracle is sure to get a great response.

The story revolves around a news reporter played by Krasinski, who recruits his ex-girlfriend who works for Greenpeace played by Barrymore, to help save a family of grey whales who are trapped under rapidly forming ice in the arctic circle.

Also opening this weekend is the first post Harry Potter offering from Radcliffe, The Woman in Black.

This dark tale finds Daniel as a young lawyer who is sent to a small town to investigate evil haunting from a vengeful woman who’s ghost is terrorizing the town.

Another movie opening this weekend that is garnering attention is the supernatural thriller, Chronicle.

Chronicle is the story of three high school friends who gain super powers after making a shocking discovery. As they begin to use their new found powers, they realize that they are not a great as they seem. Check out the trailer below.

Daniel Radcliffe Makes $5,000 Super Bowl Bet Against Ellen DeGeneres!

Are you team Daniel Radcliffe or team Ellen DeGeneres? Choose wisely! The Woman in Black star hit up the daytime talker to promote his new movie — and wound up betting a large sum of money on the Super Bowl!

Here’s how it all went down…

DRad went head-to-head against Ellen in a friendly bet. “I am a Giants fan,” he said. “I was christened a Giants fan when I arrived in NY. I did Equus there … I was wondering if you would like to place a bet on behalf of the Trevor Project,” he proposed.

The two agreed on a whopping $5,000 sum. The winner will proudly pony up the money to the charity — which is actually a big win-win situation. The Trevor Project works 24/7 to prevent teen suicide among LGBTQ youth.

Daniel Radcliffe Attends ‘Woman in Black’ Premiere in London (PHOTOS)

Daniel Radcliffe continued to move on from his Harry Potter days Tuesday evening at the London premiere of his new movie, The Woman in Black.

The all-grown-up 22-year-old actor arrived in style on the red carpet, where he wore a black (natch) double-breasted suit. He also posed for photos with his Woman in Black co-star, the ironically named Liz White.

The Woman in Black hits theaters in the U.S. on Feb. 3.

Meanwhile, though Harry Potter is officially over, the film still managed to pick up a couple of nominations for this years Oscars – three, in fact, for Art Direction, Makeup and Visual Effects, respectively. Check out the full list of nominations here.

It was also announced that two more first timers will host in February! TVLine reports that Channing Tatum and Zooey Deschanel will host on February 4 and February 11, respectively. Bon Iver will be joining Channing as the musical guest, while swag pop group Karmin will join Zooey. We have a feeling these episodes will be amazing (She’s the Man, any one?!)

On Wanting to Get Married: “Yes, absolutely. When growing up, I thought of marriage as being very official, drawing up a contract. It seemed slightly clinical to me. But then you meet somebody that you really love and you think, ‘Actually, I wouldn’t mind standing up in front of my friends and family and telling them how much I love you and that I want to be with you forever.’

Afterward, I texted her, saying, ‘I’m sorry, what I just did probably seems very odd to you.’ Fortunately, she just found it really funny, so she kept coming back.”

On If He’s Afraid He’ll Lose His Fame: “Yes. But it’s reality, not fear. It will happen, and I have accepted that. In a way it’s a great relief that I will never, ever do a film as successful as the Harry Potter series. But neither will anybody else. [laughs] Or it will take them a long time.”

Daniel Radcliffe Set to Host ‘Saturday Night Live’ in January

Saturday Night Live is about to get a touch of magic!

TVLine is reporting that Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe has signed on to helm the January 14 episode of the hit NBC sketch comedy show. This will mark the 22-year-old’s first time hosting, as he preps to promote his first post-HP big screen project, creepy thriller The Woman in Black.

Up and coming singer Lana Del Ray will join D-Rad as musical guest, while former basketball player Charles Barkely will host the first episode in 2012 on January 7, with Kelly Clarkson bringing her musical stylings to that episode.

Did Daniel Radcliffe have the best year ever? He sure did – well, according to Entertainment Weekly, anyway.

The magazine on Wednesday selected the popular actor as its Entertainer of the Year for 2011, a title previously given to everyone from Taylor Swift, to Sandra Bullock to Robert Downey Jr. Among his many achievements this year: a starring role in the year’s biggest movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II and a high-profile stint in Broadway’s Tony-winning How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Not bad!

Also on this year’s list: Grammy frontrunner Adele (natch), Hugh Jackman and the hilarious cast of Bridesmaids.

On Broadway: Megan Fox Heads To The Theatre Stage (PHOTOS)

Megan Fox has gotten a case of the Broadway bug! The 25-year-old actress is the latest celeb who will be putting her theater talents to use when she makes her debut on Nov. 14 in the “24 Hour Plays” project, an annual fundraiser to benefit the Urban Arts Partnership.

Other stars participating in the play are Sarah Silverman, Jesse Eisenberg, Gabourey Sidibe, Tracy Morgan and Jack McBrayer.

In the past couple of years, we’ve seen some of Hollywood’s film stars famously make their way from L.A. film sets to Broadway and West End’s stages: Daniel Radcliffe in this year’s revival of How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Scarlett Johansson in 2010′s A View From the Bridge and Andrew Garfield in 2012′s upcoming revival of Death of a Salesman.

‘When Harry Left Hogwarts’ Doc Gives Inside Look Into Last Days On ‘Potter’ Set (VIDEO)

Are you longing for more Harry Potter? Well, don’t fret just yet! The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 DVD and Blu-Ray will finally hit shelves on November 11, 2011 and an exlcusive 4-disc set is coming to Target. Besides the final flick, fans who pick up the Target copy will also get a behind the scenes look at the making of the last Harry Potter movie!

In the 48-minute documentary appropriately titled When Harry Left Hogwarts, filmmaker Morgan Matthews talks to the film’s stars: Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson about their last few days shooting the epic. The three we’re excited (and a little nervous) for their futures, but were clearly nostalgic about their time at Hogwarts. Check out the trailer above, and be sure to grab a kleenex, it’s a tear jerker!

In the trailer, Harry himself feels that since everyone’s bond on the films will come to an end that they will have to re-establish their personal relationships without the flicks as a focal point. Besides her performance as Hermione Granger, Emma will definitely leave something behind:

“I feel part of my soul, my whole being will always be in this place [Hogwarts].”

The trio also fear that they won’t be able to break away from their famous roles. Rupert noted that the eight HP films have taken almost half of his entire life to complete! Emma also adds that she feels as if people are waiting for her to “screw up”. The 21-year-old is on the right track. She has a small role in the upcoming biopic My Week With Marilyn and she’ll be starring in The Perks of Being A Wallflower out next year.

Another Hollywood star is ready to hit the boards!

Ugly Betty star America Ferrara is set to make her Broadway debut in London’s West End as Roxie Hart in the iconic musical, Chicago. Starting in November, she’ll join the cast for an eight-week run, then is going to star in another play after that!

So, what other production is America ready to take on?

She’ll star in revival of the 1984 play The Missfirecracker Contest in the big apple early next spring. About a woman from Mississippi who joins a beauty contest, the role was originally played by Holly Hunter.

Not just busy with Broadway, America is also starring in End of Watch with Jake Gyllenhaal.
