“Where Are You Going,” Dave Matthews?

Well, apparently the beach.

The Dave Matthews Band frontman has dropped a whopping $6.575 million on a six-bedroom, five and a half bathroom estate located in Malibu’s Point Dume neighborhood, according to Real Estalker.

The newly-renovated 7,000-square-foot home sits on 1.78 acres of rare flat land with access to Little Dume Beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

The property also features a pool, spa, extensive gardens and a full apple orchard.

If that wasn’t enough room for the music man, his wife Jennifer Ashley Harper and their three children, the property comes with active plans and permits with the City of Malibu for a 900-square-foot guesthouse — or a recording studio, should Matthews be in the mood for making music from the comfort of home.

Listing information indicates there is a two-car attached garage and the property is large enough to accommodate a tennis court and a couple of horses.

Of course, what Matthews shelled out for this pricey pad is just chump change for the musician. From 2000 to 2010, his band sold more tickets and earned more than any other act in North America.

The former Friends-ter was on the Hawaii set of her upcoming movie Just Go With It with Dave Matthews on Tuesday, and it appeared that she was thrilled with the experience. Unless a stiff tropical breeze had just happened to blow by when the above picture was taken.

Hope Jen isn’t thinking of making a play for Matthews. For one, he’s married. And secondly, her romances with musicians don’t seem to end very well.

A normally “shy” Julia Roberts introduced one of her favorite singers, Dave Matthews and his band, at a charity concert for the Stand Up For Cancer initiative last night at Madison Square Garden.

The longtime friends stood together for the initiative which benefits lung cancer research.

Matthews (who also recently lost a bandmate) lost his father to cancer when he was ten.

“One day, we hopefully won’t need to have events like this,” he told the audience.

Julia also gave a shout-out to the heroes of 9/11 who were in the audience.

“We should all feel good about participating,” she said. “I’m thrilled to be able to say that on September 10 that we are welcoming some of the heroes and first responders from September 11. As New Yorkers, we are beholden to all of them.”

Also in the audience were Lindsay Lohan and girlfriend Samantha Ronson.

Julia refrained from mentioning their possible engagement.

During the Dave Matthews Band‘s concert at Los Angeles’ Staples Center last night, Matthews stopped the music to pay tribute to his saxophone player LeRoi Moore, who died yesterday at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center at the age of 46.

After the concert’s first song, Matthews told the audience, “We all had some bad news today. Our good friend LeRoi Moore passed on and gave his ghost up today, and we will miss him forever.”

Several songs later, in an apparent reference to the grief that Moore’s passing had created, Matthews stated, “It’s easier to leave than to be left.”

LeRoi Moore died unexpectedly due to complications from a June accident involving an all-terrain vehicle. The jazz-trained musician, known for his trademark sunglasses and improvisational playing style, had  been in and out of the hospital since the accident. He had begun a physical rehabilitation program when complications forced him back into the hospital on July 17.
