Earlier this week, the Indecent Proposal star favorited a string of tweets that echoed the message of forgiveness, with one from rapper Wiz Khalifa which read, “We all make mistakes. Don’t let that be the reason you give up on somebody.” Demi’s cryptic tweets led many fans to suspect that the 49-year-old was thinking of taking back Ashton, 34, after his alleged infidelity.

What may have caused Demi’s change of heart?

In May, the couple had reportedly crossed paths for the first time since the actress’ stint in rehab during Yehuda Berg’s birthday bash. Berg, a mutual friend of the former lovers, was the Kaballah rabbi who officiated their wedding back in 2005.

“She went over to wish Yehuda a happy birthday and Ashton was right by him. Yehuda left them to talk,” a partygoer told The Mirror. “They started to chat and were extremely affectionate. She was ­staring at him like a love-sick puppy.”

However, that wasn’t the end of the Hollywood exes’ interactions. Later on at the soiree, Kutcher had made a public speech that many thought hinted at his guilty conscience. “I’ve made all these horrendous mistakes in the last year,” he said, after telling the crowd about Rabbi Berg’s unconditional love for his friends.

“Ashton’s voice started to break as he spoke,” the party insider said. “He just fell into tears. He sat down to a round of applause while Demi just looked frozen.”

“It was obvious he was referring to the break-up,” the source added.

Deadline is reporting that the 49-year-old actress, who checked into a treatment facility earlier this year for undisclosed reasons, has signed on to star in the film Very Good Girls.

So, what’s Demi’s new project all about?

Very Good Girls is about two best friends, played by breakout star Elizabeth Olsen and Dakota Fanning, who are determined to lose their virginity, but end up falling for the same guy, which tests their friendship. Moore will play Olsen’s mother.

This is Demi’s first acting gig since she checked into a treatment facility earlier this year. While Moore never explicitly stated why she was there, there was speculation that it had to do with an eating disorder and anxiety issues, most likely brought on by her split from Ashton Kutcher, 33, late last year.

This week, we finally got to see the trailer for the highly-anticipated stripper movie (starring Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey to name a few), and it got us thinking about all those other stars who have worked the pole for roles on both the big and small screen.

Sources tell us that Moore, 49, joined celebrities like Victoria and Eva Longoria at Bouchon. So how was her demeanor? 

“She looked happy,” a fellow diner tells us. “She was smiling and chatting with her girls. She looked completely sober. I didn’t see her drink.”

We are also told that Moore, who was rail thin before entering treatment earlier this year, looked “healthier.”

Insiders close to Demi tell Celebuzz the actress is doing “very well” and has had enormous support from her girlfriends during the past several months.

In January, Moore was hospitalized after allegedly inhaling “whip-its.” Reports followed that the actress was receiving treatment for substance abuse as well as anorexia. This all came after her highly publicized divorce from Ashton Kutcher this past year.

Still, Demi is ready to put it all behind her, including her Twitter handle.

On Tuesday night, actress Demi Moore made her first public outing since receiving treatment, for the launch of close friend Amanda De Cadenet‘s new Lifetime TV show, The Conversation.

Demi, who donned a black sleeveless blazer and matching black pants, was all smiles as she posed for cameras alongside Amanda at the Beverly Hills, CA, event, and appeared to look much healthier than she did around the time of her hospitalization earlier this year.

This was a major outing for Demi, who has kept an extremely low profile since she filed for divorce from her husband of six years, Ashton Kutcher, in November, amid rumors that he had cheated on her.

The incident led to a series of tense moments for Demi, including extreme weight loss, a highly publicized hospitalization and, later, a stint at an undisclosed treatment center that forced her to drop out of the Linda Lovelace biopic Lovelace, in which she was to play feminist icon Gloria Steinem. (She was later replaced by Sarah Jessica Parker.)

After she left treatment in March, Demi reportedly enjoyed an island vacation with friends, and has since been laying low at her home in L.A. to focus on her life and career, according to People.

Meanwhile, Demi also made a big comeback on Twitter this week. Yesterday, the 49-year-old actress — who still uses her original Twitter handle, @mrskutcher — tweeted: “time for a change, twitter name change … any suggestions?” (Former Brat Pack costar Rob Lowe chimed in at one point, tweeting: “Sure. Debbie or Jules” — a reference to her character names in About Last Night and St. Elmo’s Fire, respectively.)

Mila will be reuniting with all her ’70s Show costars on the small screen when the group returns to FOX for the network’s 25th Anniversary Special on April 22.

The Fools Rush In actress, 45, opened up to Lucky magazine about everything from Botox to her fashion essentials, but it was her comments on Demi, 48, that caught our attention. The Ghost star recently split from husband Ashton Kutcher, 34, and was later sent to a treatment facility after being hospitalized after an alleged “whip-its” incident. 

Salma, however, has full confidence in Demi’s comeback, telling the magazine: 

“[I’m] not like Demi [Moore]. She’s so disciplined, I wish I could be like that.”

She added, “You watch, Demi will be back. She’s an inspiration to all women.”

Another way she’s not like Demi, Salma admitted that she’s not a fan of surgery or Botox. “Botox, trust me I’ve been tempted—but I resist! think about what happens to your muscles—and your skin—if you’re sick and don’t move for a few days. It all atrophies! Plus, if you freeze a muscle in your face, other muscles have to compensate! And once you stop, what does that look like?” Before I can issue a rebuttal she offers another theory: “You know Latin people? African-American people? How our skin ages more slowly? Even though we’re dramatic, we move our faces, we eat higher- fat foods, we’re the ones with fewer wrinkles—it makes you wonder.”’

Now, I am not suggesting that merely because someone is a public figure he or she is not entitled to confidentiality as it pertains to health care. Of course they are entitled to that, but please, stop lying to us!  

Just report that the individual is under doctor’s care and will be expected to return to work soon. Stop with the ridiculous spin. The public is too smart for this and deserves better.  Young people run marathons, play competitive and extreme sports. They rarely need medical attention and when they do it is for very specific definable medical reasons. There simply is no such diagnostic category as exhaustion.

Hospitals have very stringent admitting criteria that are reviewed by governmental and private agencies. This assures that hospitals maintain a certain standard of care. This is required for hospitals to maintain their licensure and standing. So they cannot admit a young healthy individual for being tired! Psychiatric hospitals are held to the same standards. There must be some identified medical diagnosis that meets criteria to need hospitalization.

So when you hear or read that someone has been hospitalized for exhaustion or dehydration immediately read that as a lie. If this is a young person under say 30 years of age most of these fabrications are covering for addiction. After 30 it can be addiction or alcoholism but many times this is also a cover for a Psychiatric illness. Somewhat of an exception has been the recent example of Jason Russell, whose family stepped forward and reported that Jason’s recent public breakdown was the result of Reactive Psychosis.

I am certain that this is in fact what his family was initially told about Jason’s condition and they should be commended for being so forthcoming and honest. The episode looked to have been a Manic episode related to Bipolar Disorder although it may well have been a reactive psychosis. The irony here is that Reactive Psychosis begs the question, reactive to what?

This still leaves open the possibility of spinning this story as reactive to… guess what, stress and exhaustion. Reactive Psychosis is rather unusual and is more common in those with Personality Disorders or a family history of Bipolar Disorder. They are actually reporting something rather complex about his Psychiatric status but because it is anchored to story about exhaustion and stress somehow it seems more palatable to the spin doctors.

Bottom line is that celebrities are no different from the rest of us. They suffer the very same psychiatric and medical problems that afflict us all. Paying attention to the reality of the lives that we all watch play out in public has the potential to teach us. Consuming media in a sophisticated manner can provide opportunities to teach our children by looking at the example of others.  Celebrity stories can also be cautionary tales from which each of us can learn more medical and psychiatric realities of the human experience.

Dr. Drew Pinsky is a nationally renowned addiction medicine specialist, the host of HLN’s primetime Dr.Drew  on HLN (9pm ET & PT) and Dr. Drew’s Lifechangers on the CW. He can also be heard on the nationally syndicated “Loveline” radio program.

The Hollywood heir to Demi Moore and Bruce Willis is showing the world her country bluesy vocal skills as half of the duo Gus + Scout. The 20-year-old hit up Rockwood Music Hall on Thursday night (via People.com) alongside Gus Wenner, son of Rolling Stonefounder Jann Wenner, to perform … and perform rather well! 

The two have a video on YouTube (as seen above) that shows Scout singing and Gus on guitar performing “Me and James” in Providence, Rhode Island this past February. Prior to this, Scout was in a band with Steven Spielberg‘s daughter Sasha. All the musicians are Hollywood royalty and Brown University students. 

Scout isn’t the only voice in the Moore/Willis household. Her sister Rumer, 23, recently performed at the Sayers Club in Hollywood, Calif. as her ex stepdad Ashton Kutcher looked on. Check out that performance (recorded by TMZ) below:

“Demi is in a much better place,” a source tells People. “She has been working on herself a lot.”

After reportedly seeking treatment at Utah’s Cirque Lodge the actress went on vacation to the Caribbean, where she was able to relax and find that better place. The source adds that “she is content,” now that she’s back.

During her rehab stay, estranged husband Ashton Kutcher supposedly visited Demi, but according to a source for People “they are not getting back together.”

Allegedly, Ashton has moved on with screenwriter Lorene Scafaria, who was with Ashton over the holidays, and the two appeared to be very affectionate during a recent outing. The actor only went to visit the Demi in Utah was because “he knew it was important to her daughters,” says the source.

After testing the waters the past few weeks at Jason Scoppa’s weekly Thursday night Sessions show at The Sayers Club, Rumer, 23, performed on her own Tuesday in Hollywood, impressing clubgoers with her voice. Rumer covered, “High Low Middle” by My Brightest Diamond, “I Cant Stand the Rain” by Ann Peebles, “Age” by Lianne La Havas and “Sitting on the Dock of the Bay” by Sara Bareilles.

While Demi steered clear of the club scene, the actress’ ex Ashton, 34, came and stayed for the entire performance.

Witnesses tell Celebuzz the two hung together in a booth before the 23-year-old got on stage, and that Ashton couldn’t have been more supportive.

Allegedly, Ashton has moved on with screenwriter Lorene Scafaria, who was with Ashton over the holidays, and the two appeared to be very affectionate during a recent outing. The actor only went to visit the Demi in Utah was because “he knew it was important to her daughters,” says the source.

Earlier this week, Demi left rehab and is currently vacationing in the Caribbean. She is recuperating alone in a villa at Parrot Cay, which is heavily guarded by security and is only accessible by boat. Her two children, Rumer, 23, and Tallulah, 18, are staying with her ex-husband Bruce Willis while her other daughter Scout, 20, is away at Brown University.

Screenwriter Lorene Scafaria, who was with Ashton over the holidays, is apparently more than “just friends” as first reported. The two were said to be openly affectionate during a recent outing, Us magazine reports.  

“They were affectionate,” a source at Norman Lear‘s X Prize charity event says. “When they thought no one was watching, they held hands, and she rubbed his back and his neck.”

According to sources, Ashton hooked up with Lorene prior to splitting from wife Demi Moore.
