Fashion icon Diane Kruger was one of the best-dressed stars at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party Sunday night — and now she’s showing off more of her amazing style in MANHATTAN magazine’s March issue.

The cover shoot, which was shot on location at Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood features Kruger, 36, in some of the hottest trends, including the black-and-white look she dons on the magazine’s cover, which reminded us a bit of the Giambattista Valli dress she wore to last night’s Oscar fetes.

New York Fashion Week is just a few weeks away, but the stars are already showing off their fab front-row style at the Spring/Summer 2013 Couture Fashion Shows in Paris this week.

From Chanel to Dior, the runways at Paris Haute-Couture Fashion Week aren’t just a preview of the latest styles — they are a sartorial spectacle, showcasing the most exquisite one-of-a-kind creations that fashion’s most talented designers can dream up.

With seats at the couture shows reserved for a very exclusive list of fashion A-listers and stylish celebrities, the fashion lining the front-row represents the chicest of the chic. While anything goes at the ready-to-wear shows, with fashion notables sporting everything from jeans to dresses, the couture shows call for a greater level of formality and sophistication.

So what does one wear to the most exclusive of fashion shows?

You could play it safe and sophisticated in black and white like mom-to-be Kim Kardashian. Want people to think you’re a fashion insider? Work the former fashion faux-pas that’s now considered the peek of chic: black and navy. That’s what Jessica Alba and Chloe Moretz did to earn legendary Vogue editrix Anna Wintour’s nod of outfit approval at the Dior Couture Show.

For the more advanced and adventurous fashionista, look to style icon Diane Kruger, and go with a French spin on a fashion-forward style. Bonus points if it’s designed by the host of the show, like the checkered Chanel frock Kruger wore to watch Karl Lagerfeld’s couture creations at the Chanel show.

Or opt for an unexpected mix of edgy and elegant a la Rita Ora, who paired a red leather jacket and chunky ankle boots with a white gown that featured a high-low hemline and dramatic train. Then again, you could embrace a more costume-y look, like Hallie Steinfeld’s Scottish school girl getup, which she finished off with a newsboy-cum- fascinator cap and Chanel’s yellow Lego-like purse.

While most of us wouldn’t be caught dead in a bikini the day after Thanksgiving, these celebrities were showing off their bikini bodies in teeny tiny two-pieces over the holiday weekend.

From Mexico to Miami, stars skipped the football and food comas and spent Thanksgiving catching rays at the pool or beach.

Whether they were just taking advantage of the chance to get away, or giving themselves a reason not to overdo it on the stuffing and pumpkin pie, Diane Kruger, Kelly Osbourne, Mel B., and more celebs, all suited up for mini beach vacations over the holiday weekend.

Kruger, 36, and her beau, former Dawnson’s Creek star Joshua Jackson, 34,  spent their Thanksgiving in Los Cabos, Mexico  — where Julianne Hough and boyfriend Ryan Seacrest were also spotted vacationing.  Kruger looked fit as a fiddle, donning a gray strapless bikini and fedora while soaking up some rays poolside with Jackson.

And the duo weren’t the only celebs to soak up the rays in Mexico over the weekend.

Fashion Police co-host Kelly Osbourne, 28, was snapped in Mexico as well — sporting a frilly pink two-piece that matched her dyed strands, as she and her model beau Matthew Mosshart enjoyed their tropical Thanksgiving.

Spice Girl Mel B. wasn’t shy about slipping into a swimsuit either.  The mother-of-three was captured poolside in Australia, donning a skimpy bikini right after Turkey Day.

Staying a little closer to home for the holiday, Anne Vyalitsyna spent her Thanksgiving in Miami with friends. If the Russian model splurged on Thanksgiving, she hid it well. The 26-year-old beauty flaunted her rock hard abs and sculpted derriere in a hot pink two-piece as she spent her Black Friday relaxing on the beach.

With the end of The Twilight Saga hitting theaters this week, could Stephenie Meyer’s next horror/romance tale The Host fill the void left by Bella, Edward and Jacob? Enter Melanie, Jared and Ian.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world, in which most of the human race has been wiped out by an alien race known as Souls, The Host stars Saoirse Ronan as Melanie Stryder, a human whose body is inhabited by a Soul named Wanderer.

Max Irons – who once auditioned for the role of Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga – portrays Jared Howe, Melanie’s lover. However, after Melanie is captured by the Souls and implanted with Wanderer, he thinks he’s lost her forever. That is, until Melanie convinces Wanderer, who lives tandem inside her body, to help her search for Jared and her younger brother.

Jake Abel stars as Ian O’Shea, Wanderer’s fierce protector and Jared’s main competition for her affections. This wouldn’t be a Stephenie Meyer film without a dramatic love triangle!

Meanwhile, Diane Kruger and William Hurt star as The Seeker and Jeb, respectively.

The Host hits theaters March 29, 2013.

From red carpet appearances to an after-school stroll, the stars were out and about — and cameras were there to capture all the action.

On Tuesday night, Diane Kruger helped Chanel celebrate the 80th anniversary of its Bijoux De Diamants collection, wearing of course, Chanel. The 36-year-old donned a gorgeous blue number from the fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2013 line, complete with black pumps and a yellow clutch.

Newlywed Blake Lively was also on hand for the celebrations, arriving in a show-stopping silver-and-pink gown. The event was the first public appearance for the 25-year-old Gossip Girl star since her September nuptials with Ryan Reynolds.

Meanwhile, it looks like Paris Hilton is having another go at reality TV. On Wednesday, the 31-year-old was in Mexico to film a guest spot on the Danish version of Paradise Hotel, now in its ninth season.

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise braved the rainy New York weather on Tuesday, when the two were spotted out for a short walk. The 6-year-old fashionista kept her school uniform dry under a pink raincoat, while Holmes sported a comfy gray sweater over black tights and ankle boots.

In other star sightings, Bruce Willis looked warm and bundled up on the set of Red 2 in Paris, France, while Milla Jovovich kept things casual at a local pumpkin patch in Los Angeles.

Talk about a leather fetish.

Celebs from Tinseltown to New York City have been spotted in an array of leather. Actress Katie Holmes, 33, donned a fitted leather biker jacket as she left her tent at New York’s Fashion Week — just after  showing  her own collection Holmes and Yang on September 12.

Kim Kardashian, 31, also sported the trend in the form of leather hotpants, but added some feminine flare with her printed pink blazer.

What other celebs are loving leather?

Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton, 20, proved that the sexy fabric can also be conservative by rocking a fitted leather pencil skirt, paired with a flirty blouse.

Former American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez, 43, opted for a flashier look  by strutting her stuff in a tight leather dress that accentuated her curvy figure.

And Rachel Zoe, 41, showed off a unique approach to the trend, wearing  leather bell bottoms as she showed her face for NYFW on September 11.

Other celebs such as Sin City star Jessica Alba, 31, and Kate Middleton‘s sister, Pippa, 29, went for the classic leather look, donning  jackets to spruce up their ensembles.

Happy birthday to Chanel fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld, who turns 79 on Sept. 10.

Though the German-born designer is known for his iconic look — a white pompadour, black sunglasses, black motorcycle gloves and a white starched collared shirt — he’s also rarely seen without another important accessory:  Hollywood’s latest “it” girl.

Over the years, everyone from Kate Moss to Vanessa Paradis and Jessica Simpson have joined Lagerfeld’s couture cult.

And as the designer gets older, his groupies only seem to get younger…

Despite a nearly 40-year age gap, celebs like Rachel Bilson, Blake Lively, Alexa Chung and Lindsay Lohan have all been part of the eccentric designer’s possé at one time or another.

For an up-and-coming star, a friendship with Karl can instantly catapult a model or actress to “it” girl status, not to mention score her a wardrobe full of Chanel. When Diane Kruger learned that she won on the role of Marie Antoinette in the upcoming film, Farewell, My Queen, she sought inspiration from a surprising candidate: Karl Lagerfeld.

The acclaimed couture designer has a background at esteemed fashion houses such as Chloe and Valentino, but he’s best known for his position as creative director at Chanel and Fendi. Today, his over-the-top fashion shows count as some of the year’s most highly anticipated events.

But why did Kruger seek the 78-year-old style icon’s help for a movie role?

“He is obsessed with Versailles and Marie Antoinette,” she told the Wall Street Journal. “When I got the part of the queen, he was one of the first people I called, and I walked over to his home and picked his brain for inspiration. I’ve known him since I was 16 years old, and today he’s both a friend and a neighbor.”

But Lagerfeld didn’t just talk fashion: Kruger revealed that he offered diverse insight into France’s most fashionable and controversial First Lady, thanks to his knowledge of art, culture and history.

Kruger was certainly lucky to have Lagerfeld on her side: he often eschews celebrity and is even against seeing A-listers don his designs on the red carpet. He has good reason: Lagerfeld once said that his clients have terminated orders after seeing celebs in the pieces they planned to buy.

Ironically, Lagerfeld could be called a celebrity himself — his personal style has become so recognized, it’s often duplicated at Halloween parties.

His stand-out look isn’t all he’s known for: he’s often made headlines with his sharp tongue.

In February 2012, he caused one of the year’s biggest controversies when he said that Grammy winner Adele was “a little too fat.” Even pop queen Madonna stepped up to the plate to defend the “Rolling In the Deep” star.

But Lagerfeld isn’t always negative — and when he does compliment, it’s like winning the lottery.

In June 2012, designers such as Nicholas Kirkwood critiqued Kate Middleton‘s fashion style. Lagerfeld disagreed, saying “She looks perfect! There is nothing I have to change! I think she looks beautiful.”

Joshua Jackson got his longtime love Diane Kruger quite a gift on Wednesday night at the “Nights in Monaco” benefit dinner in Monte Carlo.

During the gala’s auction, the Fringe star, 33, won a necklace by designer Carla Amorim with a bid of $45,000. The necklace has 11.7 carats of white diamonds, set in 18-karat rose gold.

He was reportedly overheard saying it was an engagement present for the Inglourious Basterds actress, but sources close to the couple tell Celebuzz the engagement buzz is not true.

The couple, who have been dating since 2006, were affectionate all night at the gala benefit for the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the William J. Clinton Foundation at the Hotel de Paris.

Jackson looked dapper in a black suit, while Kruger, 35, who wore a cream-colored Prabal dress.
