Joshua Jackson Buys $45,000 Necklace for Diane Kruger (PHOTOS)

Joshua Jackson got his longtime love Diane Kruger quite a gift on Wednesday night at the “Nights in Monaco” benefit dinner in Monte Carlo.

During the gala’s auction, the Fringe star, 33, won a necklace by designer Carla Amorim with a bid of $45,000. The necklace has 11.7 carats of white diamonds, set in 18-karat rose gold.

He was reportedly overheard saying it was an engagement present for the Inglourious Basterds actress, but sources close to the couple tell Celebuzz the engagement buzz is not true.

The couple, who have been dating since 2006, were affectionate all night at the gala benefit for the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the William J. Clinton Foundation at the Hotel de Paris.

Jackson looked dapper in a black suit, while Kruger, 35, who wore a cream-colored Prabal dress.

France may just be the luckiest country alive this week, as its citizens got not one, but two, doses of superstar Brad Pitt.

The Oscar-nominated actor was on hand to premiere his new film, Killing Them Softly, Tuesday afternoon at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, where he donned two different looks: one casual and one formal.

Who else showed up for the premiere?

Also on hand for the premiere: festival judge Diane Kruger, who once again knocked it out of the park in a stunning gown; and actor Alec Baldwin, who looked happier than ever as he made his way down the carpet, alongside his fiance, Hilaria Thomas.

Vive la France!

On Wednesday, the biggest and most glamorous film festival of them all, Cannes, kicked off in fittingly star-studded fashion.

Among the arrivals on hand for the opening ceremony: Eva Longoria, who wore a stunning gown with a super-long train; Jessica Chastain, who wore a white Alexander McQueen dress with a plunging neckline; and the always-eccentric Tilda Swinton, who lived up to her Oscar-winning title in a wrapped gold dress.

Celebuzz will be keeping you updated on all of the news — and, more importantly, the fashions — as the 65th annual Festival de Cannes gets underway. (If that wasn’t a big enough tease: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are both expected to attend the festival, so you’re going to want to mark your calendars.)

January Jones may be a single mom, but her baby boy Xander has some famous male influences in his life. The X-Men mom, 34, and her son lounged poolside in Topanga Canyon, Calif. on Sunday along with January’s famous friends Justin Bartha, Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger (not pictured).

Both The Hangover actor, 33, and Dawson’s Creek star, 33, played in the pool with the baby boy, who was dressed in a pair of adorable swimtrunks. Meanwhile, Mad Men beauty January just dipped her legs in the water and shielded the sun with a hat and sundress.

The celebrity crew, which also included one of January’s gal pals and an adorable pooch, were all smiles as they played with the baby.

January, who has yet to reveal the father of Xander, has opened up about being a new mom.

“I am enjoying [motherhood.] I adore it,” she told Access Hollywood this past March. “[Xander] is awesome.”

‘Tis the season to head for warmer weather!

Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson were the latest celebs spotted soaking up sun in Mexico. The couple spent their Saturday lounging by the pool at a resort in Cabo San Lucas. Wearing a turquoise bikini top and polka-dot bottoms, Kruger flaunted her flawless bod while Jackson kicked back with his iPad.

But the Inglourious Basterds actress and her beau weren’t the only stars vacationing south of the border…

On the same day, former supermodel Cindy Crawford showed off her (still) amazing body in Los Cabos. The 45 year old (!) spent the day in her itty-bitty bikini with hubby Rande Gerber. Check out her vacay pics below!

Trend Spotting: Celebs Brighten Up Red Carpet With Neon! (PHOTOS)

In the world of fashion, designers, stylists, and celebs are always trying to find something new and exciting to bring to the red carpets. While bright neon colors were huge in the ’80s, they are making a big comeback in a modern way.

Last year, bright colors were popping up all over the runway in many designers’ Spring/Summer and Resort collections. Now that the trend has finally caught on, it has progressed to be one of the most prominent of the upcoming year.

Every big-name designer from Chanel to Valentino to Prada has included neon pieces in their recent collections. And this past September, there were even some collections that featured a majority of neon looks like Nanette Lepore and Christian Siriano.

Of course, fashion divas like Nicki Minaj have always rocked neons, but recently, other stars like Kristin Cavallari, Blake Lively, Kourtney Kardashian, and Gwyneth Paltrow have been spotted in short, bright dresses at VIP events.

Screen sirens Natalie Portman and Kirsten Dunst were seen wearing neon blue to different award shows and celebs Julianne Moore, Jennifer Lawrence, Diane Kruger, and Brooklyn Decker have all popped in long pink gowns on the red carpet. Even if red carpeting doesn’t exactly coordinate with neon pink, that didn’t stop these stars from successfully trying the trend.

The neon trend not only applies to fashion, but to beauty as well. Try a hot pink or coral lip like Emma Stone, Emily Blunt, and Kelly Osbourne to instantly kick your look up to the next level. To really make a statement, go for neon hair like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga do so “naturally”.

You don’t have to be in Northern Italy to get in on the action taking place in Venice. The 68th Venice Film Festival got underway Wednesday with the premiere of George Clooney‘s political thriller Ides of March and has been a star-studded event ever since.

A-list celebs like Keira Knightley, Madonna, Bar Refaeli and Evan Rachel Wood came out this week for the film festival, striking a pose on the red carpet. Once again, Diane Kruger stepped out in a show-stopper. The style-savvy actress showed up at the Venice Film Festival on Wednesday in a breath taking flowing, nude-colored gown for the premiere of Ides of March.

The actress matched her Grecian-esque gown with a loose hairstyle, letting her blonde locks run free! However, Diane did have a little competition on the red carpet, fashion-wise.
