Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross (whose husband suffered from cancer) and former American Idol singer David Archuleta also turned up for the star-studded charity event. Officials said they would announce the fundraising total this week. The 2008 Stand Up 2 Cancer telethon raised more than $100 million.

In Touch Weekly reports that Milk actor Brolin—currently in New Orleans filming the comic-book movie adaptation Jonah Hex—has been spending a perhaps-inappropriate amount of quality time with local woman Melissa Green while he’s in the Big Easy.

According to sources, Brolin was spotted partying with Green at the Royal Street Inn on May 21 until 11:35 p.m., at which point the two moved on to another location.

The next morning at 7:23 a.m. the two were spotted together again.

“Josh looked like he hadn’t slept at all,” a witness tells the magazine. “[Green] was wearing the same outfit as the night before and looked embarrassed.”

Duhn-duhn-duhn!

Of course, it’s possible that Green was helping Brolin practice lines all night, right?

If Josh really does have a wandering eye, poor Diane may be in for a world of hurt. Brolin is co-starring in Jonah Hex with Transformers hottie Megan Fox, and resistance to her charms is pretty much futile.

Several boldfaced pairs made rounds at the movie’s unveiling, most making up the powerhouse cast that retells the life of activist and city official Harvey Milk.

Star Sean Penn and wife Robin Wright Penn seemed right at home with one another hitting Levi’s official premiere after-party for the film. This year saw the filing of divorce papers for the couple, followed by an Oscar hiccup, then a reconciliation.

Wright, dressed simply in a black military jacket, greeted moviegoers and execs while Penn chatted up castmate Josh Brolin at the bash, held at San Francisco City Hall.

Speaking of Brolin, he put his own divorce speculation to rest (perhaps) by bringing knockout bride Diane Lane.

A source, however, tells Celebuzz that Lane “tired quickly,” of the red carpet, breaking from Brolin to wait inside. Another source says, Brolin and Lane arrived in seperate cars to City Hall after the screening in Milk’s original stomping grounds The Castro.

Looking smitten (again, at an opportune time) was Grey’s Anaotmy star T.R. Knight and his May-December love Mark Cornleson, who was studying hospitality at an SF college before ditching to Hollywood to live with his famous man.

Then came broodster James Franco who kept a sweet mystery blonde, done up in a seafoam halter dress, three paces behind whenever cameras were around. Also Emile Hirsch with a black-clad brunette who walked the carpet with the young actor but wasn’t at his side during the party.

Love all around, folks! That’s how famous photog David LaChapelle felt, overheard by Celebuzz singing the praises of the movie’s “amazing tone and performances.”

Also spotted milling around the party was director Gus Van Sant, toasting his 1970s-set movie which is drenched in Levi’s 501′s and unthinkable haircuts.

“This cast, this movie, represents all the ideals of Levi’s,” the denim co’s President Robert Hanson told Celebuzz, “…courage and youthful, provocative energy.”

Right he is about all the cast—provocative on screen and off.
