Winfrey also announced her second book club selection on Wednesday, The Twelve Tribes of Hattie. Kramer is headed back to TV. Michael Richards, who played the iconic character on Seinfeld has been cast on TV Land’s comedy pilot, Giant Baby, co-starring Kirstie Alley and Rhea Perlman. The show, created by Marco Pennette, will focus on Alley as Broadway star Madison Banks who reconnects with her long-lost son. Richards will play Madison’s limo driver while Perlman will play her assistant and best friend. [THR]

Nineties babies rejoice! Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are bringing The Goonies together. Corey Feldman joined Sean Astin, who voices Raphael on the animated show, in the sound booth for a Season 2 episode. Nickelodeon’s It’s a SpongeBob Christmas! is premiering on the network this Thursday. The first full-length stop motion animated special features the voice of John Goodman as Santa Claus. It will also feature the popular SpongeBob song, “Don’t Be a Jerk (It’s Christmas)” which was released in 2009. The next season of Bravo’s Kathy is headed your way in the New Year. The talk show in which Kathy Griffin chats with celebs about everything pop culture will debut on Jan. 10 at 10 PM. This one-two punch of programs led the eye network to a win on Tuesday night despite ratings, which were down from last year. In total, CBS drew 10.2 million viewers. Dr. Phil chocked up a major milestone this November, as his talk-show, Dr. Phil, topped the November sweeps ratings for syndicated talk shows. The show averaged 4.2 million viewers during the sweeps period from Oct. 25 to Nov. 21. Meanwhile, Katie Couric’s Katie took the top spot amongst the freshman talk shows, finishing fifth overall. Paranormal series, Weird Desk, has been given a straight-to-series order from ABC for Summer 2013. The series from Stargate’s Carl Binder and The Librarian’s David Titcher will run for 13 hour-long episodes. Weird Desk focuses on an organization involved in mysterious intelligence from the CIA and NSA regarding paranormal and supernatural experiences. [THR]

Dog-fighting lovers better watch out because Paris Hilton is bringing out her fists of fury for them.

Noted dog lover Paris is appearing on the Dr. Phil show today for a special dog adoption episode and RadarOnline snagged a preview clip of the show.

The wisp-thin Paris was dragged out to the show by a pair of cute cocker spaniels (apparently Paris isn’t really accustomed to walking dogs weighing more than 3 pounds) who Paris is trying to help find a good home.

Earlier in the show, Dr. Phil spoke to a dog-fighting advocate who said that he doesn’t think dog-fighting should be considered a crime and that he views it more as a “sport.” Naturally, dog-lover Paris had some strong words for this man:

I kinda want to punch him in the face. I think it’s disgusting and it’s wrong I don’t know how anyone can hurt an animal. I think people who do that are very sick in the head.

All dog-fighting lovers should feel ashamed, not just because dog-fighting is disgusting and cruel, but also because their intelligence and mental state was dissed by Paris.

Oh, Dr. Phil; it sounds like you’ve been a naughty, naughty boy.

TMZ reports that the controversial TV shrink is being sued by a former female patient for allegedly employing some very unusual therapy techniques.

In papers filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Thursday, Shirley Dieu claims to have undergone treatment under the doc—full name Phil McGraw—in 2007 and got a lot more than she bargained for.

Dieu claims that McGraw made her “be in the same room with a completely naked live man while he exposed his entire naked body, genitals and all.”

And then it got creepy.

Dieu goes on to allege that McGraw “touched her left breast during the therapy session.”

To be fair, this sort of method is not entirely unheard of in the world of therapy.

Dieu claims she tried to escape the ordeal, but “was blocked by the staff to prevent her from leaving.”
