In 2010, The Last Exorcism absolutely terrified audiences – so much so, in fact, that the filmmakers decided it wouldn’t be the last one after all. The Last Exorcism Part II reunites producer Eli Roth and star/ victim Ashley Bell, whose character Nell is trying to rebuild her life after the events of the first film.

Unfortunately, Nell decides to relocate to New Orleans – which is decidedly not the place to go if you want to get away from weird, unexplained phenomena.

In a new featurette exclusive to Celebuzz, Bell explains Nell’s new journey, while Eli Roth explains how and why the filmmakers decided to set the sequel in Louisiana, where both films were shot.

“There’s something that’s haunted and creepy about the place,” Roth says. “As much as it is beautiful, it’s also very scary.”

Bell says that the exotic locale of New Orleans provides Nell with a new sensory experience that amplifies her estrangement from the world around her. “Everything’s been forbidden to Nell, and she goes into New Orleans for the first time,” Bell says. “She’s privy to music and she’s privy to temptation.”

Roth also says that the choice to set the film in New Orleans was inspired by the great experience the filmmakers had making its predecessor there.

“We had such an incredible experience shooting the first film in New Orleans that we wanted to come back for more,” he says. “The character of Nell is someone that is very sheltered, and hasn’t really seen much outside of her farm. It’s fun to watch the world through her eyes to see how all of these things affect her.”

Haunted houses are a staple of Halloween – an interactive opportunity to experience just a few of the horrors that cinephiles experience vicariously via movies and TV shows.

But Eli Roth, the creator of the Hostel movie series, has created an experience in Las Vegas that offers virtually unparalleled authenticity when it comes to creepy scenarios: Goretorium, a terrifying, twisted maze of gore that’s nestled at the heart of the Strip.

At the invitation of the filmmaker himself, Celebuzz visited Roth’s delightfully disgusting attraction in advance of Halloween, and spoke with Roth’s partner and Goretorium CEO Robert Frey.

Frey says that the idea developed as a combination of creative and commercial prognosticating. “It’s proven out that people like horror year-round,” he tells Celebuzz. “Vegas didn’t have anything like this, and in fact the United States doesn’t have anything like this. So we’re the first group to try and do it 365 days a year.”

In terms of his collaboration with Roth, Frey says there was one main thing the filmmaker contributed: “His sick mind,” he says with a laugh.

“No, it’s been really great working with Eli. The best thing about Eli is that he never stops creating, and from day One, he was so passionate about this. He said, ‘this was my dream since I was a little boy and I used to terrorize people – and now I get to do it year-round in Las Vegas’.”

“We’re going to punch you in the face.”

For Dave Bautista, phrases like that are commonplace — at least when he’s in the ring as an MMA fighter. But Bautista says that he was informed that the same thing would happen even when he was not fighting for real as Brass Body in The Man With The Iron Fists, Wu-Tang impresario RZA’s action-packed directorial debut.

“I showed up on set one day,” Bautista tells Celebuzz, “and the second unit director said ‘Look, we’re going to shoot [the punch] in slow-motion and it’s going to look incredible. And it did.”

The Shaw Brothers-inspired film features several complicated kung-fu fight scenes that Bautista and his co-star, Sucker Punch’s Jamie Chung, executed with complete faith in their director, despite his newcomer status.

“RZA had so many things in his head,” Chung explains. “When he asked me to do something [intense]… I said ‘you’re going to get what you want, because in the end, you’re going to use it the way that you want.’ It really was ‘I’ll do whatever you want me to do.’”

Justin Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez enjoyed a spooky Sunday at Eli Roth’s Goretorium, a new haunted-hotel attraction in Las Vegas.

The lovebirds enjoyed a private tour of the popular scare-fest, before posing with Australian pop singer Cody Simpson and Hostel series director Eli Roth for a post-fright photo, in which Bieber, 18, appears to be clinging onto Gomez, 20, for dear life.

Given all the fake blood and terrifying props, it’s a good thing Bieber didn’t fall ill this time. The singer recently vomited during a performance after drinking too much milk before the gig.

Roth, known for his ultraviolent horror films, has transformed the reportedly haunted Delmont Hotel into the Goretorium, an all-year-round horror attraction. Last weekend was its grand opening.

Of course, October is the time of year for haunted attractions everywhere. Vanessa Hudgens and The Jonas Brothers were just few of the many famous faces who got into the scary seasonal spirit at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights in Hollywood this past week.

On Wednesday, Bieber will headline his second sold-out concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, featuring opening acts Simpson and Carly Rae Jepsen.

Peaches Geldof, Nylon contributor and current girlfriend/lover of Eli Roth, is known for her hard-partying ways, but who would have ever thought that the baby-faced 21-year-old would get involved in a story this messy?

According to Gawker, in a thread on Reddit (where most horrible stories begin) a user who goes by the name Thatcoolguyben spills the beans on his alleged one-night stand with Peaches.

Thatcoolguyben says that he was staying at a friend’s house in LA who lived with her boyfriend and an always-absent girl who was recording an album. One night, the album-recording girl comes home and gets to talking to Thatcoolguyben and things just start to get weird from there:

She sits next to me and we begin talking about tattoos, which both of us have a good amount of. She had a cute English accent and wasn’t bad looking at all. The tattoo discussion leads to us deciding we should get each others names tattooed on each other. At 3am I grab my friends car keys, and head out. We drive all over Hollywood looking for a tattoo parlor, with no luck. While driving around we get on the topic of drugs. At this point in my life I was very into all drugs, as was she. She told me she had a bit of heroin she brought with her from the UK and asked me if I was game. I was so the hunt began.

After the pair scored some needles and other heroin-taking supplies (apparently it involves lemons?) they head back home, shoot up and start doing engaging in activities that we can’t publish on our family-friendly website so we will just reduce it all to two words: sex romp.

After their sexy sex romp, things got hazy for our tale-spinner and all he remembers is waking up where most heroin-fueled sex romps typically end, in a detox center at the Celebrity Scientology Center in LA.

After he got “purified” or whatever it is those Scientologists do, he headed back home and then flew off to South America, not realizing until much later that he had engaged in a druggy one-night stand with, in his words, “a D-list celebrity.”

Luckily, our guy wasn’t too drugged up to forget to take pictures, which he posted up on Reddit and have now been circulating around the internet.

The big question, however, remains. Is all of this true or is this just some guy trying to get some attention on the internet? His story seems to check out, in terms of the photos actually being of Peaches and proof that she was in LA at that time. Peaches also appears to be pretty inebriated in the photos of the alleged incident so, maybe this guy is telling the truth?

For many, Humpday signifies the middle of the workweek, when we’re exactly halfway between the memories (and mistakes) we made last weekend and the ones we’ll make next. But here at Celebuzz, Humpday means that Colin Goldman, our resident Celebrity Hookup Enthusiast (who actually knows next to nothing about legit celebrity love news) sets his mind to wondering — Are They or Aren’t They?

Today’s edition of Humpday Roundup salutes POST-OSCAR LOVE, those one-night-stands, two-night stands, and fifteen-minutes-behind-the-red-carpet-night-stands that are the true winners come Academy Awards late night.

If I ran E-Harmony, question one on the applications would be: “Are you as hot as Rachel McAdams or Jake Gylenhaal?”  I suppose there’d need to be some lie detector aspect to the results, but the rare people who passed would be allowed to skip the next 150 chemistry questions and move directly to “perfect match”.  Just look at these two specimens of human flesh.  Ridonkulous.  So no real surprise when it was rumored by rumor mongers who like to rumor things, that these two were joking, cavorting, and, yes, even canoodling at an apres-Oscar party on Sunday night.  In fact, Jake apparently joked that Rachel was the “future mother of his kids”.  How future, Jake?   Like nine months post-Oscar night perhaps?  Oh, yes, perhaps.

Verdict:  Like butter on pancakes, melt, melt, melt.  This is where babies come from.

Troy Bolton won the State Championship for East High, I think, can’t totally remember, still, amazing for even a fictional basketball player to get his hair so perfectly coiffed and moussed and tousled and teased and gelled and richified and so, damn RPattzian!   To approach the RPattz hair sculpt is to know God.  To fly to the sun on wings of Fructis Garnier.  To stare at True Beauty with your histamine swollen eyes and make True Beauty cry for what it can never be. Were these two floppy-mop tops ever to mate, the result could be hair so swaggeriffic that the earth would ceases to spin and Lindsay would quit drinking. 

Verdict:  The rules of physics don’t apply in the land of awesome — these two do’s are definitely doing it.

She, the spoiled young British prankster and heiress to the Boomtown Rats fortune.  He, the Inglorious Basterd with a penchant for torture porn and peppery pastrami.  Can this crazy, crass, May-December, post-Oscar party romantic sighting lead to something more than kissing and telling?  Is trans-Atlantic, cross-ethnic, inter-generational, opposite sides of the railroad booty knocking knocking at the door; and, if it is knocking, will somebody rise to let it in or just yell down from upstairs and tell it that the front door is already open?  Peaches Geldoff may be just twenty, but she’s been around the block more times than a midtown Manhattan meter maid hungry to meet their quota and win that trip to Epcot.  Eli Roth calls Quentin Tarantino a mentor.  Just imagine the mind-blowing wrongness that could be the swamy soupy mess of this coital relationship.

Verdict:  Despite what every other quote unquote (are you supposed to write that out?) gossip columnists will tell you, I know with 99% certainty that there is no nookie going down between these two.  99% is pretty darn strong as far as predictions go, though, so, bank it.

Who had a better Oscar experience than Gabourey Sidibe?  Okay, Sandra Bullock.  But besides Sandra, this Precious BBW rocked the otherwise tepid Academy Awards with a fierce giggle and a shameless wandering eye for man-tail.  When Gerard Butler strode by on the Red Carpet, Gabourey sized up the next future, fake, Mr. Jen Aniston and let the world know that she’d “hit it”.  Girl likes her Scotch.  For his part, the bearded Highlander, not one to turn down a complimentary toss in the sack, suggested that maybe they should get a hotel room.  Dang, it was like watching two savage beasts on the savanna stalking each other in some semi-violent mating ritual.  I got all sweaty and such like I do when I see Paula Deen making a Coca-Cola basted ham on the Food Network. 

Verdict:  Nah, still, mighty fun to imagine.
