Before all the arrests and jail time, Lindsay Lohan was the adorable redhead who won us over playing a duel role of identical twins Hallie and Annie in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap. The role won Lohan a Young Artist Award for best performance in a feature film — as well as a three-film contract with Disney.

Although we really can’t imagine anyone else in the role now, there is one Hollywood actress who is still upset about not being cast. Can you guess which actress almost landed the role? Hint: She’s pretty Shameless.

Reflecting on all her auditions, the 25-year-old brunette revealed to Celebuzz that she’d give anything to go back in time to nail her Parent Trap audition.

“I was 12, but I really wanted the role,” she revealed.

Does Emmy have any hard feelings?

“Not at all. Lindsay beat me out of the role… I’m having the time of my life and currently working on Shameless,” she added. Sounds like everything worked out after all.

Emmy Rossum Reveals ‘Sweetest Thing’ a Guy Did for Her on Valentine’s Day

Love is in the air! Although Emmy Rossum usually tries to keep her love life “under the radar,” the actress recently caught up with Celebuzz and gushed all about love and Valentine’s Day. Emmy, who is rumored to be dating her Shameless costar Tyler Jacob Moore, revealed that the special day actually started a day early — on February 13.

“Someone special sent me flowers a day early,” she said. “I feel very lucky and happy.” Aww!

So what’s the sweetest thing a guy has ever done for her on Valentine’s Day?

“Well, a boyfriend a long, long time ago, who may remain nameless, flew half way around the world to take me to dinner for Valentine’s Day. It was a surprise and very sweet.”

Rossum divorced music executive Justin Siegel in 2009 and has famously dated other celebs including Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz.

Backstage at the Donna Karan show, Emmy also dished about fashion and her go-to style. Whether she’s grabbing coffee or hitting the red carpet, Emmy reveals she usually picks “something comfortable and sexy. It’s about color and clean lines.”

So what’s the one thing she can’t leave the house without? “Underwear,” she joked.

Finishing up an exhausting Fashion Week, Emmy will be pampering herself — and her mom — at the Caudalie Vinothérapie Spa at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. Aww! How sweet.

Emmy Rossum Hits the Ground Running Towards Hit Series in Short Shorts & Tank (PHOTOS)

It’s always a visual treat seeing celebs running around in skimpy workout clothes!

Although she looked casual and comfy while she darted across a track in short shorts and a gray tank top, Emmy Rossum wasn’t snapped running at her leisure, she was spotted filming a scene for her Showtime series Shameless.

On the show she plays Fiona Gallagher, daughter of Nick Gallagher, who struggles with alcoholism. This dysfunctional family deals with their issues while Fiona, the oldest daughter, holds the family together. Shameless was given five stars by the San Francisco Chronicle and gained many other buzz worthy reviews. Unfortunately, Emmy went Emmy-less this season.

She definitely got snubbed when it comes to earning an Emmy Award nomination. Regardless, the talented young actress has gotten a chance to showcase her many talents in her previous works, such as her singing in Phantom of the Opera. Now the actress is debuting her need for speed — on the track, that is.

Thursday was a night for celebrating fashion and a good cause as actress Emmy Rossum attended the launch of her own “Emmy Bag” at the Elie Tahari Boutique in NYC.

The Shameless star was seen striking a pose and looking gorgeous in a black top and blazer along with a shimmery gold, pleated skirt. Sales of spring 2011 “The Emmy Bag” will benefit Safe Horizon and will be sold at the Eli Tahari boutique in the Big Apple.

Emmy got some support in the form of Olivia Munn to help celebrate her big night.

Despite still being chilly even though it’s officially spring, New York got a sunny dose of Emmy Rossum and her million-dollar smile on Wednesday, as the Shameless actress was out and about on a press tour.

Sporting a sassy floral sun dress, Emmy and her A-list grin worked it from the morning through the afternoon. She began her day in midtown with a visit to Fox & Friends, where she chatted it up with the Fox News morning show. Then, after some glamour shots outside, she headed to Good Day New York and eventually to a Suave hair event.

The Shameless actress hit up The Bank Night Club at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas to celebrate her February cover of Vegas magazine. Emmy spent the night dancing, sipping Beau Joie champagne and even revealed her secret crush — Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers!

While many people go to Vegas for wild weekends, Emmy associates the party town with family time:

It’s really fun and I love the energy, but it’s more of a family place to me.

Emmy Rossum Talks ‘Silly’ Sex Scenes With ‘Vegas’

Look out world, Emmy Rossum is on the path towards becoming America’s next sweetheart thanks to her new show Shameless on Showtime. She’s young, talented, beautiful, and Celebuzz is proud to premiere her cover and interview with Vegas Magazine.

In Vegas, Rossum opens up about her career and scandalous role, which has her taking on some pretty steam situations and scenes. Of going for broke in a sex scene, Rossum tells Vegas:

It’s like, OK, time to take my top off … the whole thing is so silly that if we weren’t so comfortable with each other it would be really uncomfortable … It’s definitely an acquired experience. You look over and the camera guy is very politely averting his gaze between takes.

Rossum, who’s 24 and most recently was romantically linked to Counting Crows singer Adam Duritz, continues talking about the show’s sex-themed situations, saying that “Sex is meant to feel good, and she wants to feel good. Her [Rossum’s character-Fiona Gallagher] life is so s—-y in so many ways. Some people use alcohol, some people use gambling-and some people use sex.”

And don’t think this is some over-the-top, big budget blowout of a show. Rossum says they “get no hair and makeup at all; they frizz out my hair a little and rub mascara around my eyes, and that’s it.” Still, she enjoys the no-frills way the show operates, calling it “liberating.”

Emmy Rossum and Adam Duritz’s Secret Split

Emmy Rossum and Adam Duritz seem to have done the impossible Hollywood feat: They broke up completely under the radar with nobody knowing.

Speaking with USA Today’s Olivia Barker, the 24-year-old Rossum buried the lead while discussing her celebrity persona and lifestyle, dropping at the end that she and Duritz broke up two months ago. Still, despite the split, Rossum claims she and the Counting Crows crooner are “still very close friends.”

The coupledom between Duritz and Rossum caused many heads to be scratched in September of 2009 when they began dating. Rossum commented to PEOPLE shortly after that Duritz is “extremely kind, incredibly intelligent, thoughtful, creative and respectful.”

Also in the USA Today interview, the acting beauty rails against typecasting in Hollywood among the young female set, venting that:

“Hollywood doesn’t provide you with tons of opportunities if you’re a woman,” she says. “I don’t want to go run around in my underwear and be chased by a guy with a knife. When you’re 22 and 23, there’s not much that’s not either, like, silly teen comedies or horror movies.”

The Hills personality and the Day After Tomorrow actress were spotted with Old Navy Supermodelquins Michelle, Barker, and Heather on Tuesday. Pratt was getting caffeinated at Starbucks with Michelle and Barker, while Emmy stocked up for her cupboard with Heather at their local Ralphs supermarket.

If you ask us, Stephanie and Emmy looked pretty good, but their pals seemed a little stiff.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is just a simple gal at heart!

Despite her bun being a bit over-cooked, famous friends and family gathered on Sunday at the swanky Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles to throw a baby shower for Ash (with husband Pete Wentz the absent benefactor).

Some down home chicken and mashed potatoes greeted guests like shopping mentor Nicole Richie (who brought little baby Harlow) and Emmy Rossum (yawn), who looked upon a “glowing and insanely happy” Simpson, according to People.

Naturally, sister Jessica was on hand to supervise the gift inventory (though perhaps she could’ve given herself the gift of staying inside Sunday night).

Ash’s baby booty included bags from Kitson Kids as well as a teeny little snowboarding getup from Burton.
