FOX sportscaster Erin Andrews, 34, teamed with Degree Women to inspire women everywhere to be “Unapologetically Strong” by challenging them to test their limits, push their boundaries, and realize their inner strength.

Andrews spilled the beans about her personal struggles in 2010 when a stalker released video of her naked in a hotel room. She also revealed the best advice she was given for those extra-challenging times and who has helped her through it all.

What was Andrews’ best piece of advice?

Andrews told Celebuzz that “unfortunately nationally everybody saw when I was tested and that was when a very private and personal thing in my life, being stalked publically, was put out for the whole world to see. I remember when I went back to work for the first time and I had everyone wanting to see how I would do on TV, that’s when I figured out how tough I am.”

Andrews added that a New York Giants coach had one time told her a helpful-yet-blunt piece of advice for whenever the sportscaster was going through something difficult. “He told me ‘you have to have thick skin, you have to be tough’ so I was,” she told us.

The former Dancing With the Stars contestant is also taking time out of her busy schedule to root for her former dance partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, 32, while he performs on ABC’s upcoming Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars with Kirstie Alley, 61.

“I’ll always root for Maks, he’s considered a family member. I love him very much and I’m very thankful for my time with him and everything he was able to do for me during that time.” She gushed, “I’ll always be a Maksim fan.”

Can we expect to see Andrews rooting him on from the sidelines?

“I may go now that I’m working in Los Angeles. I know he has his hands full with Kirstie [Alley] – she’s even more stubborn than I am – but maybe I’ll go sit and cheer for (them).”

Andrews made only one request if she does end up visiting the Dancing With the Stars set: “If they agree to spray tan, then I’ll sit in the audience.”

Controversy-plagued Erin Andrews is leaving her co-hosting gig at ESPN when her contract expires at the end of this month.

The cable network’s VP of Communications Josh Krulewitz broke the news on Twitter. “Erin Andrews leaving ESPN,” he writes. “She did great work for us & we made an aggressive offer to keep her. We wish her the best on her next chapter.”

Where’s Andrews landing next?

Sport Illustrated reports that her next gig will be at FOX Sports. The cable channel has apparently been aggressively pursuing Andrews, 34, for its newly launched regular-season college football coverage. A Fox spokesperson declined to comment to Celebuzz on the reported hire.

She joined ESPN in 2004. During her tenure, she has covered several sports for the channel and became the co-host for College GameDay last year. She is also a contributor for ABC’s Good Morning America. In 2010, Andrews placed third on the 10th season of Dancing With the Stars.

She made several unwanted headlines when it was discovered that a stalker had filmed her naked using peepholes at various hotels she was staying in. The video was released on the internet in 2009 and quickly went viral. Michael David Barrett, 46, was sentenced to 30 months in prison, three years of probation, $5,000 in fines and $7,366 in restitution for interstate stalking.

Andrews have been involved in other controversies including accusations that she had breast implants. Also, her journalistic integrity came under attack when she signed a deal to appear in Reebok ads earlier this year.

Most recently, HBO’s new series, The Newsroom, referred to the reporter as Jeff Daniels’ character’s girlfriend, which created speculation that she would appear on the show. Andrews played along on Twitter, writing, “I can neither confirm nor deny speculation I’m dating the main character.”

UPDATE: On Sunday, FOX Sports officially announced that Andrews will anchor its new college football show and studio coverage, as well as contribute to its MLB and NFL overage, among other major events. The sports journalist also tweeted on Sunday, “It is official…I’m going to @FOXsports. An incredible opportunity for me & cannot wait to start! CFB kickoff is two months from today!” She also writes, “Going to miss my @ESPN family and the @collegegameday crew. Will always appreciate everything all of you did for me. #Respect #ThankYou.”

Erin Andrews flaunted an ample amount of cleavage — and a flawless bikini bod — when she hit the beach in Miami on Thursday.

The 34-year-old Good Morning America and ESPN host sported a mismatched bikini with a red strapless top and black bottoms as she caught a few rays, cooled off in the water and relaxed with friends on the beach.

The ESPN reporter and recent Dancing With the Stars contestant is suing several hotel chains for negligence and invasion of privacy, claiming that she suffered “severe and permanent emotional distress” over the incident. Andrews’ complaint names Marriott International Inc.; West End Hotel Partners LLC and Nashville Marriott At Vanderbilt University; Windsor Capital Group Inc.; Radisson Hotels International Inc.; Ashtel Inc. and Radisson Hotel Milwaukee Airport; Ohio State University and The Blackwell Inn; and Preferred Hotel Group Inc. and Summit Hotels & Resorts. 

Andrews is also suing Michael David Barrett, the man who pleaded guilty to interstate stalking in December. During his trial, Barrett testified that he had rented hotel rooms next to Andrews’ rooms in three cities, admitting that he had altered the peepholes on the doors of Andrews’ rooms and videotaped her in two locations. Barrett is currently serving a 2 1/2 year jail sentence.

In her complaint, Andrews alleges that the hotels confirmed her stays and gave out her room number without permission.

We should have known that it was impossible for Elisabeth Hasselbeck to ever apologize for her hurtful words.

The cantankerous View cohost ignited a media firestorm last week when she trashed ESPN reporter and Dancing With the Stars contestant Erin Andrews‘ choice of dress for the dance competition, suggesting that Andrews’ recently convicted stalker, who posted a nude photo of her on the Internet after peeping through her hotel-door peephole, could have just watched the show and saved himself some prison time.

Caught in the backlash of public opinion, Hasselbeck went on her show the next day and claimed that she’d made good with Andrews, calling her to apologize. According to Hasselbeck, she was prompted to make the call by her five-year-old daughter, Grace Elisabeth:

“So, thankfully, I listened to her — she’s a wise little girl — and I did. So, I’m really sorry, and I wanted to offer that publicly too, even though I did follow that advice.”

Well, here’s a big, fat surprise: Andrews now says that such a phone call never happened: 

“I didn’t speak with her, no. I never talked to her.”

Andrews says that, despite the initial insult and follow-up falsehood, she’s “dealt with” Hasselbeck’s remarks:

“I’m moving on. I’m tired of talking about it. It’s a new week.”

Well, at least there’s one person of class in this whole sordid tale. But the rest of the nation might not be as quick to forgive Hasselbeck as Andrews is. Insulting a stalking victim, then lying about issuing an apology, and hiding behind your five-year-old in the process? There’s a word for people like that, and unfortunately we’re not at liberty to use that word in a family-oriented blog such as this.
