1. ‘Spider-Man’ Sequel Casting Call

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is looking for a new Harry Osborn.

Actors Sam Claflin (Snow White and the Huntsman), Eddie Redmayne (Les Miserables), Douglas Booth and Boyd Holbrook (Hatfields & McCoys) are up for the role of Peter Parker’s nefarious best friend, according to The Hollywood Reporter on Monday.

The sequel, which recently cast Jamie Foxx as the villain Electro, hits theatres May 2, 2014.

2. First Poster for ‘Evil Dead’ Remake Arrives

Yahoo! Movies released the first poster for the remake of Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead, and it makes the bold claim of being “The Most Terrifying Film You Will Ever Experience.”

3. Tom Hardy Is ‘The Outsider’

The Dark Knight Rises’ Tom Hardy is zeroing in on yet another project to add to his busy slate.

Variety reported on Monday that the actor is considering the lead role in the crime thriller, The Outsider. The film, produced by Joel Silver, centers on “an American ex-patriot who becomes a Yakuza enforcer and falls in love with a young woman within the crime family, which is seen as a betrayal.”

Safe House’s Daniel Espinosa is reportedly in talks to direct.

4. Bill Murray’s Next Film Finds a Distributor

Bill Murray’s comedic-drama, St. Vincent De Van Nuys, has found a home.

The Weinstein Company is closing a deal to finance and distribute the film, Deadline.com reported Monday. The $13 million production features Murray as a retired war veteran with a drinking and gambling problem, who befriends his 12-year-old neighbor.

The film, which marks the directorial debut of writer Ted Melfi, starts production June 2013.

5. ‘Insidious’ Sequel Gets a Release Date

Fans of 2011’ horror hit Insidious finally have a sequel.

On Monday, FilmDistrict announced via press release that Insidious Chapter 2 is set for an August 30, 2013 release.

Stars Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne are set to return, along with director James Wan and screenwriter Leigh Whannell. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but Celebuzz will keep you posted.
