But Penn Badgley does still have his boyish looks and charm in Greetings From Tim Buckley.

The film, directed by Daniel Algrant, tells the real life story of how Jeff Buckley landed on stage to deliver his legendary 1991 tribute concert to his father Tim Buckley’s songs.

Along the way, the younger Buckley meets a potential love interest (played by Imogen Poots), who admits to having “a huge crush on your father,” and struggles with the short but overarching career of his father.

Buckley’s career was also cut short when he drowned in 1997 in Memphis, Tenn. at the age of 30. Before his death, Buckley released what would be his only studio album, Grace in 1994. Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk, a compilation of studio songs and demos, was released posthumously one year after his death.

The film is Badgley’s first major project since The CW’s Gossip Girl, which ended in December 2012. The 26-year-old actor will next star in the ensemble flick Parts per Billion, alongside Josh Hartnett, Rosario Dawson and Teresa Palmer, due in 2014.

Greetings From Tim Buckley will screen at the Tribeca Film Festival later this month and open in New York and L.A. on May 3.

Not only did the number of style-centric shows grow, with the debut of Fashion Star and the return of MTV’s House of Style, but some of the silver screen’s stylish standbys also expanded their reach. Project Runway launched its star-packed spinoff Project Runway All Stars, while America’s Next Top Model announced the addition of male models to the show.

While we said goodbye to TV’s most stylish shows since Sex and the City, with this week’s finale of Gossip Girl, we also welcomed an array of fashionable new characters into our living rooms in 2012.

Stylish newcomers like Revenge packed a serious style punch, offering eye candy for every style type, from country fans to uptown girls. And, of course, the well-dressed stars of Game of Thrones and Hart of Dixie continued to influence our off-screen style, even infiltrating the fall and spring fashion runways.

So as we countdown to 2013 (and the return of some of the most stylish shows in January), we’re counting down the year’s most fashionable shows.

The two-hour event, which revealed the anonymous blogger, averaged 1.4 million viewers and was up 34 percent from last week’s outing. Gossip Girl also gave the network its best Monday night showing since Jan. 30 and Dec 5. respectively. The episode within the finale event garnered the drama’s best ratings since April 2011. Meanwhile, The Voice’s final performance night was also up from last season’s final Monday performances.
HBO’s third season of Game of Thrones is getting a bit of an extension. Though the show will still only run for 10 episodes, each episode has tacked on a few minutes, adding almost a whole episode’s worth of minutes to the third season. Season 3 of the drama will focus on the content from roughly the first half of George R.R. Martin’s A Storm of Swords. Game of Thrones premieres Sunday, Mar. 31, 2013 on HBO.
Discovery’s American Guns will not be back for Season 3. The reality series, about a family of gun makers, has been receiving an increased amount of backlash since the devastating school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. While the network says the decision was made a while ago, the decision came out to the media on Tuesday. A spokesperson for the network said, “American Guns concluded earlier this year. Discovery Channel chose not to renew the series and has no plans to air repeats of the show.” [Deadline]

When Jimmy Kimmel Live! moves to the 11:35 time slot on ABC this January, he’ll be doing so with some big names. The comedian has lined up a list of high profile guests for his new time including Jennifer Aniston, Ryan Gosling, Bruno Mars, Sofia Vergara, Ellen DeGeneres, Rob Lowe, Jamie Foxx, Mark Wahlberg, Nicki Minaj, Mindy Kaling, No Doubt and the Kardashian sisters, among others. Jimmy Kimmel’s last night at 12 AM will take place Jan. 7 with a special episode, Jimmy Kimmel Live: Goodbye to Midnight. He makes his 11:35 pm debut on Jan. 8. [THR]

ABC’s Modern Family is giving Married … With Children fans a reunion of sorts. David Faustino who played Bud on the late ‘80s/early ‘90s sitcom will reunite with Ed O’Neill on the ABC show. Faustino will play Drew, a former classmate of Claire’s (Julie Bowen) who she see at her reunion. Unfortunately, he isn’t set to share any screen time with his former TV dad. [THR]

Not only did Blair (Leighton Meester), Chuck (Ed Westwick), Dan (Penn Badgley), Serena (Blake Lively), Nate (Chace Crawford) and all the others live happily ever after, but fans also found out who’s been pulling the strings as Gossip Girl for the past six seasons. And they quickly took to the web to voice their opinions.

Note: Spoiler ahead if you haven’t seen the CW show’s final episode, “New York, I Love You, XOXO.”

For six years, we’ve been immersed in the world of these Upper East Siders.

We watched them love, hate, scheme, backstab, travel, dabble in fashion, hook up with cougars, sell each other for hotels, think they murdered someone, go by a fake identity, marry and divorce royalty… the list goes on and on. On Monday’s episode, we said goodbye in a perfect, yet surreal series finale.

Note: MAJOR spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched Monday’s episode, “New York, I Love You, XOXO.”

Where do I even begin? Bart Bass (Robert Burke) is dead and Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair (Leighton Meester) are wanted for questioning. They escape to an inn in upstate New York where Jack Bass (Desmond Harrington) finds them, because of that one time he put a tracking device on Chuck’s limo when they were fighting. Obviously.

“Blair, you can come on out! Uncle Jack’s here to help.” My my, Uncle Jack you’ve been missed. His delivery has always been so on point and perfect. Like, oh, by the way, Bart’s dead. No big deal. In a smart but semi-obvious move, Jack suggests that Blair and Chuck get married so Blair doesn’t have to testify against Chuck under spousal privilege.

Chuck didn’t kill Bart; he just didn’t save his life either. Truthfully, someone just needed a damn reason for these two to finally get hitched. That gorgeous Harry Winston didn’t belong on a necklace, it belonged on her finger. In a last ditch effort with the people they loved, Chuck and Blair returned to Manhattan and got married surrounded by their loved ones at an epic NYC landmark, the Bethesda Fountain.

Meanwhile, Serena (Blake Lively) lost her Lily (Kelly Rutherford) uniform and private jet once she found the special package Dan (Penn Badgley) left in her suitcase. She went from a mature lady with a cape coat and a bun to long tresses, cleavage and studded Louboutins as she raced back to her first love, Dan Humphrey, to find out the truth once and for all.

Since the two were interrupted in order to attend the Waldorf/Bass nuptials, Dan took a different route in revealing his truth, the final chapter of “Inside Out.” In a move far more Rufus (Matthew Settle) than Bart, Dan screwed Vanity Fair and gave his final chapter, which revealed Gossip Girl, to his old pal Nate (Chace Crawford). Although Dan’s move was altruistic and made me happy, I don’t know anyone in New York who would screw over Graydon Carter and live to tell about it. But here goes: Dan is Gossip Girl.

If you’ve been following speculation and collecting spoilers, it was obvious that it was leaning towards Dan or at least someone in his family. The reasons are too long to list. His voiceover that revealed him as the modern male Edith Wharton was brilliant. I’m sure there are a ton of people who were pissed, but when you have that big of a reveal you will never be able to please your entire audience.

As Chuck asked Blair at the end, “Is your life really ruined?” No, everything ended up exactly as it should be. Personally I thought it all wrapped up perfectly. I’ve watched this episode, particularly the flash-forward, multiple times now. The guest stars were incredible, beloved couples ended up together, and Nate ended up being a sexy bachelor a la JFK Jr. running his own paper.

If I could’ve wished for anything different, it would’ve been more time in the flash-forward. I wanted to see Blair and Chuck playing with their son, to hear what Dan and Serena were up to for the five years we didn’t see. I wanted Eric and Jenny to have more lines. I wanted to see how Georgina/Jack, Rufus/Lisa Loeb, and Lily/William all ended up together. By the way, how did it take Georgina and Jack this long to meet and end up together? They are actually perfect for one another; that could’ve been my favorite coupling!

In the end, Lonely Boy married the Golden Girl and proved that with some brains and balls, any outsider could infiltrate the old world of Manhattan’s elite. The right people will end up together eventually. And last, but of course not least, using the song from the Sex and the Cityseries finale will automatically pull on some heartstrings. XOXO.

Buzz Moments

OMG: Dan was Gossip Girl. Wow.

Thank you, TV gods.: Chuck and Blair FINALLY got married! Bonnie and Clyde, Chuck and B, holla.

Awk-ward: William’s diss to Ivy that she’s just a Lifetime movie.

Hotness: The palpable chemistry between Georgina and Jack when they first met. Nate stepping off that plane in a power suit. Chuck and Blair’s old Hollywood kiss. Serena getting married in a dress that had a nod to her gold Cotillion gown. “You’ve Got The Love” as the final song.

Fab-u-lous: Every single cameo including NYC’s very own Mayor Bloomberg, Rachel Bilson, Kristen Bell, Lola, Agnes, Juliet, and Lonely Boy’s ex-bff Vanessa.

Can.Not.Wait.: To see all the bonus stuff on the DVDs!

Celebuzz Meter (1-10): An enthusiastic 10. Everything felt like it got wrapped up perfectly.

Over the past six seasons, Gossip Girl has given us our fair share of amazing fashions and scandalous hookups. And on Monday’s episode, it seems that Blair (Leighton Meester) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) will make the big leap into marriage. With drama, of course.

But before Blair and Chuck make it official, Celebuzz is looking back at our favorite Upper East Siders and Brooklynites and their incestuous ways since the pilot.

Whether it’s Blair with Chuck, Nate (Chace Crawford) or Dan (Penn Bagdley), or Serena (Blake Lively) with Nate or Dan – fans are hard pressed to find a main character that hasn’t slept with at least two others on the sexy show. Gossip Girl hookups have been documented extensively and filming locations blasted all over the internet. But now, we have come up with a combination of the two – A Walking Tour of Gossip Girl Hookups.

Of course, we can’t document where every hookup has been that’s taken place on the show – that would take years – but we’re giving you the details as to where our major players have gotten down and dirty, at least once.

Take a look at our infographic and read our list below to take your own walking tour of the hottest GG sites. Click on the pic below for a full size version.

Blake Lively (aka Serena van der Woodsen) and Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf) filled the stylish shoes Carrie Bradshaw left behind.

More than just a show about love and friendship in NYC, the novel-turned-TV-series also centered around fashion, introduced us to new designers and inspired us with its characters’ glam Manhattan style.

Fashion notables like Tory Burch, Cynthia Rowley and Rachel Zoe were among some of the series’ big guest stars, and fashion played a central role in the lives of many of the show’s stars, including Jenny Humphrey (played by Taylor Momsen) and Blair. Even the narrator of the show, the “Gossip Girl” blogger (voiced by Kristen Bell), touched on the pivotal role bloggers began to play in mainstream fashion when the CW series first began in 2007.

Like SATC, there was something for every kind of fashionista: From Serena’s downtown designer duds to Blair’s uptown preppy polish and Georgia Sparks’ (played by Michelle Trachtenberg) edgy-glam style, each episode offered an array of sartorial eye candy. And like Carrie’s flower brooch, curly mane, and name necklace, the privileged characters of Gossip Girlhad their own signature style symbols, such as Serena’s long boho waves, Blair’s headbands, and Jenny’s eye liner.

But it wasn’t just the ladies whose fashion has inspired us. The men’s fashion was as diverse as it was stylish, with the always-dapper Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) and his signature J.Press scarf, along with sleek Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) and hipster Dan Humphrey (Penn Bagdley).

As Gossip Girl’s characters grew over the past six seasons, so did their style, and the final season has proven to be its most fashionable one yet.

While the genius behind the show’s stylish characters, Eric Daman will be dressing TV’s next big style star, young Carrie Bradshaw in the Carrie Diaries, we’ll miss Gossip Girl‘s stylish socialites.

So as we prepare to say goodbye to Gossip Girl – and it’s weekly dose of designer duds — we’re counting down the final season’s most stylish moments.

So. Many. Questions.

For a show that’s been phoning it in since the second half of Season 4, these last few weeks have been a rollercoaster to say the least. Monday’s Chuck (Ed Westwick) centered episode was technically the first half of the series finale. Let’s start our goodbyes…

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched Monday’s episode, “The Revengers.”

Bart Bass (Robert Burke) used to just be a cold-hearted prick, but he was still somewhat human. The Bart that has developed over this last season was just plain insane, sociopathic, and villainous. I say was, because The Grim Reaper actually made an appearance on this episode. Bart Bass is dead… for real this time.

There was no way Chuck was going to be killed off. However, I never foresaw the way he was going to pop back onto our screens. Did Dan (Penn Badgley) always know where he was? Did Chuck parachute off the plane? I’m missing the part where we went from A to B. How did that whole arrangement happen?

After last week’s Thanksgiving from hell, I really thought that Lonely Boy had reached the end of his road and become unforgivable. He was done for in my book. Somehow on this episode, he managed to redeem himself for me and probably many other fans as well. While I don’t think Serena (Blake Lively) respects Dan for the way he treated her, I think he was finally earnest and so was she. She loved him enough to not want to be part of a world that could ruin the good, moral guy that she fell in love with. She needed a clean break. L.A. is hardly a clean break, but whatever. Also why the hell would anyone ever take life advice from Bart Bass?

What was in that envelope that could convince her to get off the plane? It has to be more than the nice article he wrote for her. Is it all the evidence to take down Gossip Girl? I know Nate (Chace Crawford) said he had it compiled at his apartment, but there’s still a lot of holes in this story. Who ever thought that Dan would end up leaving us with the most questions? Perhaps, he really has always been the ultimate insider. Last week, he told Rufus that he has had a plan this whole time. I have to say that I actually believe him.

All the ladies were put to awesome use on this episode. Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) is the ultimate ride or die bitch. She will do anything for her man. She is afraid of no one. If Bart Bass ever hijacked my town car, I’d piss my pants. Let’s not even lie: He is terrifying. But just as Blair drunkenly sang in the video at her birthday party on Season 4, she will always “stand by her man.”

I can’t even talk about the scene on the tarmac without getting misty eyed. It was so Casablanca. Blair’s whole plan, while not entirely flawless, was completely awesome. She made Bart just paranoid enough to start freaking out. Then again, she had the best bitches and schemers on her side! Even Ivy and Sage who my feelings waver about, put on a good show on this episode.

Unrelated to Blair’s plot, Sage retrieving The Captain in order to help Nate was adorable. She knows this guy and she actually cares about him. How many of Nate’s exes can we really say that about him aside from Serena? Best of all, she inspired him to start looking for Gossip Girl again. He has nothing left to lose at this point. It’s go big or go home, right?

This episode brought up so many feelings. I felt like it was an early season of the show. There was gasping, fan girl-ing, some tears and yelling at the TV. Yes, of course, I know this is just a show, but haven’t this crew of Upper East Siders (and one Brooklyn-ite) found a special place in our hearts over the past few years? After all, you wouldn’t be here reading this review if you didn’t agree a little bit!

Buzz Moments

OMG: Bart Bass is really dead this time, you guys.

Thank you, TV gods.: The moment Dan introduced Chuck at the gala, shocking everyone.

Awk-ward: That weird superhero movie theme music on the rooftop scene.

Hotness: Blair and Chuck’s kiss on the tarmac.

Fa-bu-lous: Blair and her bevy of bitches.

Can. Not. Wait.: Chuck and Blair’s wedding, the reveal of Gossip Girl, the flash-forward, the return of Jenny and Eric, basically ALL OF IT.

Celebuzz Meter (1-10): 9. Amazing episode, but I’m reserving my 10 for what is sure to be an epic finale.

Until next week when it’s time to say goodbye, xoxo.

The release of Dan’s (Penn Badgley) latest and perhaps most highly anticipated chapter on Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) has left fans reeling.

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched Monday’s episode, “It’s Really Complicated.”

As all the fans know, nobody does Thanksgiving quite like our favorite Upper East Siders. With Dan and Serena hosting their first holiday as an “official couple,” there was no possible way it was going to be a quiet, lovely evening by the fireside. When Serena showed up at Blair’s (Leighton Meester) begging her to attend, Blair couldn’t resist meddling in everyone’s lives. After all, when Chuck (Ed Westwick) goes dark and Blair gives him space, she really does her best work in order to stay distracted. Also didn’t we stop letting Serena go out dressed in lingerie after Season 2? Eric Daman, I expected better from you!

As if having to rock a leather mini over lingerie and under an isle sweater wasn’t enough, Dan decided to twist Rufus’ (Matthew Settle) advice and humiliate our golden girl. Rufus has underestimated Serena in the past and just because he was scorned by her mother Lily (Kelly Rutherford) doesn’t mean Serena is going to do the same to Dan.

I don’t think Dan’s initial intent was to publish the nasty chapter on Serena. I think it was after his talk with his father that he decided he needed to “become like Bart Bass” (Robert Burke) in order to get a girl like Serena. Seriously? Serena has gone back to Dan like 50 times on this show, one of the main reasons being that he was different from all of the other douchebags she has dated. Pretty much every time they have broken up it has been because of Dan’s insecurity. I don’t have space to list them all here, but longtime fans will be able to recall these breakups.

Steven and Dan both don’t deserve Serena. At this point, her happy ending would be to end up independent and successful. Nobody should love her in spite of her flaws. They should love her, because they embrace them and her. I do not believe that the golden girl has really fallen from Grace.

I think that Chuck asking Blair to go to war with him, was more romantic to both of them than a proposal would be. That’s just who they are. Now that Lily is back on Chuck’s side, Bart Bass is going down. In spite of an ominous promo that foreshadows a plane crash, I think this is just a Revenge-style fake out. Chuck will arrange for it to look like the plane crashed knowing that Blair will go on a vendetta to prove that Bart not only sabotaged his own son, but the Sheik and Bruce Kaplan as well. Chuck will pop up in a finally tailored suit and bow tie in time for the finale.

As for Nate (Chace Crawford)? Well, for once, I’d like to go on record and say that I don’t hate his girlfriend and I’m kind of glad they got back together! Her father is a loser and now that Blair dropped the long awaited 7th Heaven reference, we can bid him adieu. I recognize the same tenacity in Sage (Sofia Black-D’Elia) that Blair has. With Sage by his side, Nate will have a better shot scheming against Bart on The Spectator issues.

Buzz Moments

OMG: That we’ve finally confirmed Bart Bass is a murderer.

Thank you, TV gods.: Nate punching Dan in the face… from all of us. Long live the NJBC.

Awk-ward: How roughly Bart grabbed Lily in the library. Not cool, dude.

Hotness: Serena in an apron. She cooks and she’s on the cover of Vogue. Wait, didn’t her real life hubby actually say that?

Fabulous: Cece’s wisdom reigns beyond the grave!

Can. Not. Wait: To see Chuck come back to life, because I do not believe they would kill him off.

Celebuzz Meter: 9. Best episode of the season.

So what is Dan’s master plan? Do you think Chuck really gets killed off? Only two left!

Everything has gotten to a point of no return and every character despite any success, is now facing a major obstacle.

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched Monday’s episode, “Save the Last Chance.”

Aptly titled, “Save The Last Chance,” this week marked Blair’s (Leighton Meester) final opportunity to prove herself as an asset to Waldorf Designs. Last week, I noted that I had faith in Blair’s ability to create a line based on her own golden era, high school. Fortunately, it was a wild success.

It’s not that Blair couldn’t weather a failure, but now that Chuck (Ed Westwick) failed to fulfill his side of their moronic pact, she might not have him. This is pretty much a load of crap. We all know that Chuck has the tendency to go dark and Blair always ends up saving him. It’s what they do and it’s why they should be together.

What would really make Chuck a man and a success would be to build his own empire and separate himself from his father’s poisonous ways. He has the resources, but seems determined to take down Bart more than anything. Perhaps it’s time for everyone’s favorite devious Uncle Jack to make his return?

Bart (Robert Burke) really is such an evil man, but I did laugh a little when he asked if Chuck had to leave to kill a spider for Blair. He’s such a d**k, but it was still comical. Chuck and Blair need to cut the bull if they don’t want their relationship to become a total parody. Some would argue that it already has. There are only THREE episodes left of Gossip Girl, let’s not waste them.

Now that Bart has sunk his poisonous talons into Nate (Chace Crawford), the dynamic duo of Charles and Nathaniel is in trouble. Why can’t Chuck just be Nate’s business partner? That should’ve been the solution from the beginning. At least our other favorite best friends seem to be on the right track.

Serena (Blake Lively) genuinely wanted to apologize to Blair. Blair owned up to the fact that she was wrong for dating Dan (Penn Badgley) and that if Serena had dated Chuck she would have scratched her eyes out. Well said, B. The two even reunited for a scheme, which they are a bit old for, but nonetheless is as necessary on the UES as breathing.

Then again, it seems the only people who are there for you in the end are the ones who couldn’t care less about the drama and backstabbing. Rufus (Matthew Settle) owed absolutely nothing to Lily (Kelly Rutherford) after the way she treated him, yet he still gave the microfilms back to her. I will really never understand why Lily went back to Bart. Aside from Rufus, Lily has been married to a who’s who of losers and jerks.

Could William Van Der Woodsen (Billy Baldwin) have seemed less interested in Ivy? At first I was wondering why the hell he was even in the scheme to begin with, then when he looked dismayed to find out Bart wasn’t leaving Lily I think I figured it out. He’s always wanted Lily back. Then again, I could be reading things completely wrong.

By far the biggest con artist on an episode full of chicanery was none other than Lonely Boy himself. While Dan’s reunion with Serena sometimes seemed too good to be true, these two have always had chemistry. I feel like even if it started off as something deceiving, Dan’s intentions could have changed. Maybe I just have far too much faith in these characters. Either way, is Dan really gonna play Serena like that? Doesn’t he have more than enough material for a “Serena” chapter? Or did he never write one at all because he still loved her? Only time will tell…

Buzz Moments

OMG: Lily torching the only evidence against Bart.

Thank You, TV gods.: Blair and Serena making amends. I needed these besties back together.

Awk-ward: William and Ivy. Can she not find a lover her own age?

Hotness: B by Waldorf Designs and Blair’s pop-up show McQueen tartan outfit.

Fabulous: The fact that there are the “five families” of the NYC private schools. Cracking up. Amazing.

Can. Not. Wait.: Gossip Girl and Blair Waldorf’s favorite holiday, Thanksgiving!

Celebuzz Meter (1-10): 7, good but ridiculous at times. Everyone was just a hot mess.

Every show has a signature holiday: The OC gave us Chrismukkah miracles, Pretty Little Liars always puts on the scariest Halloween show, but nobody does turkey day quite like the cast of Gossip Girl!

Don’t forget to tune in next week and let us know what you thought of “Save The Last Chance” in the comments!

The Gossip Girl actor, 25, is obsessed with nature and loves nothing more than spending his summers sowing seeds in the ground — because the experience is so “humble”.

In a recent interview, Westwick said: “I just love planting flowers during the summer. There’s something very humble about it, and natural and beautiful. We’re a more beautiful species in the summer – everyone comes out looking gorgeous and girls put on nice dresses.”

However, despite his genteel hobby, the handsome star likes to think of himself as a rock star as his most rock ‘n’ roll habits include blasting loud music to annoy his neighbours and shredding his own T-shirts to show off his manly chest.

He told more! magazine in Britain: “I’m a showman. I wouldn’t say I’m a rock star, though… all right, in my dream world, I am. I annoy my neighbours in my apartment building by blaring music out at 4 o’clock in the morning. I rip my T-shirt. I’m into the whole showing a bit of chest hair thing.”

This week, The CW’s Gossip Girl touched on none other than the aptly named “Queen of Scheme,” Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) herself.

Dorota was right (Isn’t she always?). Hell hath no fury like a lonely boy scorned!

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched Monday’s episode, “Where The Vile Things Are.”

The thing about Dan’s latest piece, and all of his pieces actually, is that it speaks the truth. Blair really hasn’t progressed past the scheming, backstabbing, blackmailing, mean girl she was in high school. Not that we don’t love her, but when even Serena Van Der Woodsen (Blake Lively) is growing up a little, it’s probably a sign that everyone should mature. Blair always remarked that she wanted to progress into Grace Kelly. Hey, she even had the Monaco royal title for a hot second there!

I wholeheartedly love the fact that Eleanor Waldorf (Margaret Colin) was able to acknowledge her daughter has a deviant and dark sexual side. You can’t fool your own mama, Blair! And I’m glad that by the end of the episode, she realized that she shouldn’t have to. Blair has a Masters in the Dark Arts; she should parlay that into her strength. It seems you can balance your Grace Kelly side with your Grace Jonesside, after all.

This week’s episode played to a lot of Season 1 innuendos, which is probably why I found it to be the strongest episode of Season 6. After last episode’s humiliating sex tape scandal, Dan decided to revisit the part of him that wasn’t a complete douche and was nice to Serena. While I think Serena is often too quick to forgive and forget, I was a fan of Dan and Serena the couple.

They revisited the bar from their first date — Serena finally got that Vespa ride she always wanted — chocolate covered strawberries were eaten, and they got stranded in a broken down elevator. Except this time, the elevator scene led to a makeup and not a breakup. Honestly, I’m glad that Dan overheard Serena and Nate’s (Chace Crawford) conversation. He deserved to hear what an arrogant egomaniac he’s been. I have a feeling not everyone will feel as forgiving towards Dan as Serena was.

I loved seeing Nate and Chuck (Ed Westwick) scheme together. These two do best friends really well. How dumb are the people who work for Bass Industries? You’re a financial manager for seriously confidential multi-millionaires and you get drunk off of one glass of Cristal and don’t notice that your phone is missing? Get a grip and then please go resign, thanks.

If Nate Archibald can best you, you’ve got some problems. I love Nate, but he’s not the brightest bulb on the show. Neither is Chuck for leaving that painting in Ivy’s (Kaylee DeFer) hands. There was an extremely important document taped to the back. You keep that painting in your eyesight until you can check it out. I feel so bad for anyone who trusts Ivy, particularly Rufus (Matthew Settle). But, I have to say that Lily (Kelly Rutherford) totally deserves whatever comes to her at this point.

Buzz Moments

OMG: Lily auctioning off something that could land her husband in jail. Duh.

Thank you, TV gods: All the Season 1 throwbacks.

Awk-ward: Lily finding out that Ivy got her paws on Cece’s money, after all.

Hotness: Serena pulling Dan into her bedroom after he asked, “Are you sure?”

Fabu-lous: Ivy’s trashtastic Pretty Woman curls. They were cheesy and hooker-ish, but it worked!

Can. Not. Wait: The debut of B by Waldorf Designs!

Celebuzz Meter (1-10): 9. Strongest episode of the season by far.

Do you think B by Waldorf Designs will be a hit? Are Serena and Dan really going to work this time? What will Ivy do with the oil trade evidence? Sound off in the comments section below.

Is there a more perfect description of a bunch of Upper East Siders going to a Debutante Ball than “Super Rich Kids?”

Gossip Girl hit the halfway point of its final season with a trip to a Cotillion that just might’ve been the final nail in the coffin of Blair (Leigton Meester) and Serena’s (Blake Lively) friendship.

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched Monday’s episode, “Monstrous Ball”

Nothing good ever comes from a sex tape… um, most of the time. Why was Serena saving it on her phone anyway? This show needs to stop giving Sage (Sofia Black D’Elia) so much credit. No way is that little brat going to out-scheme Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg).

Then again, Georgina was more than ready to part with that video. She was just trying to keep her star writer happy and waiting for the go ahead. Were you all surprised to learn that Dan (Penn Badgley) really just wanted Blair back this whole time? He seemed so intent on taking down the whole Upper East Side, but was he just waiting for an opening with Blair?

I have to say that he’s exchanged some pretty scathing words with both his family and former friends this season. If this is the case, why was his chapter on Chuck (Ed Westwick) so nice when Chuck is his adversary? His agenda isn’t making much sense at the moment.

And after all the things he said to Serena and the way he treated her — boom — the sex tape gets released and he ends up comforting her? I smell a rat. Something is amiss with lonely boy. I will give him one point though, and no it’s not related to him cleaning up his hair on the episode.

Dan’s proclamation to Blair about what colossal BS it was that Blair was waiting around for Chuck with a ring around her neck was dead on. I get that Chuck wants to take down Bart (Robert Burke) and Bart deserves it, but this whole waiting game is lame!

Now that Lily (Kelly Rutherford) knows the truth, is she going to stand by Bart’s side? Will she team up with Chuck? After Chuck let Ivy (Kaylee DeFer) into her apartment, I don’t see Lily doing much of anything with him.

Now that it seems like Steven is out of the picture, maybe he and Sage will hit the road? Nate delivered a great line when he said, “You may be legal, but this is way too high school for me.” Who knew man bangs had it in him?

Is it possible Nate is the secret genius of the show? I would just love that. One person he’s smarter than is Rufus. I know she’s in her 20s, but I really can’t help but still be so grossed out by Rufus and Ivy. Their storyline seems to be such a side story. Rufus used to at least be integrated in the plot. Now he’s a total pawn!

Blair better prepare for “mad mode” as Dorota put it, now that Eleanor is headed back to New York. Only time will tell if she’s able to salvage Waldorf Designs. I hope she does and I hope Chuck takes down Bart, because as I said before, I am just tired of waiting!

Buzz Moments:

OMG: The sex tape finally seeing the light of day.

Thank you, TV gods.: Nate dumping Sage. About time!

Awk-ward: Dorota telling Dan about Chuck and Blair’s pact with the ring. C’mon Dorota you know the drill by now!

Hotness: Serena’s whole Cotillion ensemble. Beautiful!

Fabu-lous: Random, but Ivy really rocked that backless shirt. I’d love to know where she got that.

Can. Not. Wait: The final five.

Celebuzz Meter (1-10): 7. This week was a major step up from last!

Will Blair and Serena ever be able to reconcile from their fight? Will Serena and Dan rekindle their romance? Let us know in the comments!

That time, there was Carter Baizen (Sebastian Stan) sex, stolen horses, Nacho Figueras, Blair (Leighton Meester) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) actually sleeping together, a fun Humphrey, and Rufus (Matthew Settle) and Lily’s (Kelly Rutherford) undercover lovechild. Needless to say, you shouldn’t rerun a story idea if you’re not going to do it better than it was done the first time.

In this week’s duller than dull episode of Gossip Girl, Blair decided to distract from her disastrous fashion debut by helping her sorta but not really boyfriend – Chuck.

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched Monday’s episode, “Portrait of a Lady Alexander.”

The king and queen of scheming found out that Lady Alexander was actually a horse Bart (Robert Burke) purchased. After some digging and Blair referring to Bart’s Sudanese friend’s daughter as “Princess Jasmine,” we got a big clue. To think that all Blair really had to do to get her way was plead an honest case.

Alas, one useful thing did arise from the horse show, we’re now on the path to finding out why Bart Bass really faked his death. Buying foreign oil from a country that the US has an embargo on – tsk, tsk – Bart’s been a bad boy. But was Bart’s secret all you hoped it would be? Will Chuck really be able to take him down with this information?

Next time Bart asks Lily (Kelly Rutherford) to cut off contact with his son, he should remember that before he faked his death he arranged for Lily to adopt Chuck. If only Lily could wake up and smell the roses and go back to Rufus (Matthew Settle) before Ivy (Kaylee DeFer) completely swindles him and he crosses over to the dark side like his son. Is there any way Rufus could really believe Ivy is that pure of heart? He’s not new to the world of Upper East Side backstabbing and scandal. I’m not buying it.

Meanwhile, Dan (Penn Badgley) has been enjoying his “literary celebrity” by sleeping with fans and screwing Nate (Chace Crawford) over even worse than last week by publishing the Nate chapter of his book. If Nate was that upset over his chapter, I can only imagine how awful everyone else’s must be. But really, shouldn’t Nate be happy he was even included in the sequel?

Speaking of Nate, why does Bart want to buy The Spectator so desparately? And why would Nate attempt to sabotage Lily who has always been dear to him? At least there was less of his girlfriend Sage this week. She’s cute but she is hogging too much screentime considering there are only six episodes of Gossip Girl left!

There are so many questions from Monday’s episode, least of all how Matt Camden (Barry Watson) from 7th Heaven, I mean Steven Spence, bagged Kate Upton. The “Cat Daddy” video he was referring to can be seen here. You do the math. Then again, he is dating the gorgeous Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) so maybe he has a lot of game.

A question for Serena, how do you go back to dating your boyfriend after you find out that he slept with your mother back in the day? Awkward alert! I’m guessing once Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) releases the Serena/Dan sex tape she got her hands on, it won’t really matter who Steven slept with anymore.

Do you guys think Dan can really still blame Serena for seducing him? Sure she shouldn’t have filmed their tryst to sabotage his relationship with Blair, but Blair went back to Chuck all on her own accord. And if I recall correctly, there were two people screwing atop the bar at The Campbell Apartment.

Buzz Moments:

OMG: The international levels of Bart’s scandal. He is very screwed if this gets out.

Thank you, TV Gods: Let’s start every episode with Nate Archibald in bed. Thanks.

Awk-ward: Lily and Serena having a romantic crossover.

Hotness: Serena in that orange dress. Va va voom!

Fab-u-lous: Blair being able to throw an equestrian themed outfit together that quickly.

Can. Not. Wait.: Nobody does Cotillion episodes like Gossip Girl!

Celebuzz Meter (1-10): 4. C’mon writers this is the last hurrah. Give us something great!

So there you have it. Will Bart be tried for his crimes? Are you Team Serena or Team Dan? Sound off in the comments below!

Gossip Girl and Buffy alum Michelle Trachtenberg will guest star on CBS’ Criminal Minds next year. Given her most recent role as the crazy Georgina on Gossip Girl, the actress should do a killer job in this role. Trachtenberg will play a stalker who loses her mind when she isn’t offered a job. She will appear in early 2013 on Episode 12.

NBC’s The Voice will also feature two special performances on Thursday’s live elimination show. Coach Adam Levine and his band, Maroon 5, will perform their brand new single, “Daylight.” Adding to the event, Jermiane Paul, the Season 2 Champ of The Voice, will also debut his single, “I Believe In This Life.” The Voice airs live on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday this week at 8 PM EST/tape delayed PST.
ABC’s Once Upon a Time is on a roll with another tick up in the ratings this week. The show, which has seen ratings rise for the past three weeks, was the only Sunday series to climb in numbers with 10.1 million viewers. Meanwhile fellow freshman ABC drama, 666 Park Avenue hit a new low with only 4.1 million viewers. NBC’s Sunday Night Football led the pack with 18.6 million viewers.
A new special on TLC, Extreme Cougar Wives, is giving us a peek into the lives of three woman, age 50 and up who like to date young. Taking the saying, “age is only a number” to the limit, the show will follow the women and their beaus (all in their 20s) as they engage in relationships. Extreme Cougar Wives airs on Sunday, Nov. 25 at 10 PM. [TLC]

Aisha Tyler is heading to FOX’s Glee. The actress and The Talk co-host will play newbie Jake ‘s (Jacob Artist) mom on the show.
Fans of football and HBO’s Hard Knocks series should be happy about this news. The Travel Channel, NFL Films and RIVR Media have teamed up for a new series, NFL Road Tested: The Cleveland Browns. The series will provide an unprecedented look into how a team travels on the road during the season. Viewers will also get a look into how the Browns prepare for each game. NFL Road Tested: The Cleveland Browns premieres on The Travel Channel on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 10 PM.
The drummer of Coldplay, Will Champion, is set to guest on Season 3 of HBO’s Game of Thrones. Champion will play a drummer on the hit show. He is the second of two musicians to be cast.
For the past five years, we’ve watch Blair go through a number of obstacles, public humiliations, screwing up her dream of Yale, getting traded for a hotel, a sham marriage, a miscarriage and many more. However, I’ve never seen her as rattled as we did on Monday’s episode when she – gasp! — fainted at the office!

Note: Spoilers ahead if you didn’t watch Monday’s episode, “Dirty Rotten Scandals.”

What could’ve driven our HBIC to collapse? Well aside from the pressure of the show, not sleeping and not eating? Serena Van Der Woodsen (Blake Lively) telling her that they are no longer family. Think what you want, but despite every fight and every betrayal Serena and Blair have always come back to each other. Is it possible these besties are really over?

The thought was too much for Blair, landing her on bed rest until her disastrous fashion show. Luckily her man, or eventual man once they “accomplish their personal goals,” Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) stepped in to help. Sometimes, it’s the little gestures that make the biggest impact. Chuck and Blair may not be fully together or sleeping together, but they are still supporting one another probably more than they ever have. I found their scenes to be very touching and meaningful.

However, that’s where my enjoyment of the episode ended. Nobody is High School Serena times 10. It’s just not physically possible. There is only one SVDW. Sage (Sofia Black-D’Elia) is hardly a runner up. I don’t know what Nate (Chace Crawford) sees in her. That scene at the end where she complained that she had to deal with “the Serena?” Wake up Nate!

Serena was not only your first love, but she’s one of your oldest and closest friends. You’re going to let a little high school brat talk about her like that? I need Serena and Nate to remember where they came from, who they are and start acting like it again.

I understand Steven’s (Barry Watson) daughter comes first in his life, but you can’t really ask a girl to take a break after she’s moved in with you. He was so cavalier about it. I am really not a fan of Sage and I reiterate my point from last week that she’s taking up a lot of screen time for the last season of Gossip Girl. I’m really just not interested in her story. Besides, it’s completely unbelievable that anybody except for Gossip Girl herself would be able to get the best of Blair and Serena. My beloved Blerena, when will you reunite?!

Lastly, where do I even begin with Humphrey? He has officially turned his back and screwed over the last people who still cared about and supported him. Rufus (Matthew Settle) is naïve, but he’s been a good father to Dan (Penn Badgley). He didn’t deserve that verbal lashing. Nate took a chance on publishing the serial and Dan stabbed him in the back. Nelly Yuki (Yin Chang) was just supportive and sweet and he ditched her for a fan. This isn’t the loyal and good-natured lonely boy that we’ve known for the past few years. What’s happening?

Buzz Moments

OMG!: Dan throwing his father under the bus for the sake of a story. This was painful to watch.

Thank You, TV gods.: The sweet moments between Chuck and Blair tonight. It’s nice to see them be so supportive of each other.

Awk-ward: Dan selling out and choosing Vanity Fair over The Spectator and thus screwing over his last friend.

Hotness: Blair’s nightdress… even if it looked like more of a cocktail dress.

Fab-u-lous: Serena telling Sage that nothing is going to break her and Steven up so to “get used to it sweetie.”

Can. Not. Wait.: Of course, Lily (Kelly Rutherford) slept with Serena’s boyfriend!!

Celebuzz Meter (1-10): 6. This episode was lacking.

How do you feel about Sage? Will Serena and Blair ever make up? Hit the comments below.

The CW’s Gossip Girl turned up the heat and brought things back to Manhattan on the second installment of its final season. So, who’s cheating with whom?

Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched Monday’s episode, “High Infidelity.”

It turns out no one actually, unless you count Bart Bass (Robert John Burke) whose faithfulness is questionable at best. Besides, the whole “Chuck (Ed Westwick) trying to reveal his father’s secret” storyline is a little tired and we’re only on Episode 2. As my friend who has missed a few episodes questioned while we were watching, “Isn’t Bart Bass supposed to be dead?” Uh yeah.

Who cares about this Amira (Andrea Gabriel) woman? I know I don’t! The only good quip Bart got in was his dig about his son attending to Blair’s errands. Ain’t no shame in your game Chuck, who in Blair Waldorf’s (Leighton Meester) life hasn’t been her bitch at some point?

Speaking of those who have once obeyed Queen B, “High Infidelity” brought the rumored return of Nelly Yuki. For those who need a refresher, Blair excommunicated Nelly when she stole Blair’s spot at Yale. Alas, the minion who used to crush on Lonely Boy is back and she’s wielding major power in the form of a WWD press badge.

It seems the tables have turned, as Blair now needs Nelly in order to make Waldorf Designs’ re-launch successful. Isn’t it hard to believe that it will take the opinion of one 21-year-old fashion reporter to tank an entire season’s collection? Then again, I don’t write about fashion for a reason. I’m barely going to address the fact that Blair’s other fashion adversary is Poppy Lifton (Tamara Feldman) of Season 2 fame, because isn’t she busy running a Ponzi scheme somewhere?

Let’s talk about some more relevant people otherwise known as Serena and Nate. It’s funny that both of them are trying so hard to prove themselves when they were once so effortlessly popular. That seems to be the theme of the final season of Gossip Girl; unless you’re Dan (Penn Badgley) and you’re on some sort of Emily Thorne path of Revenge, but we’ll get to him later.

I love that S and Nate made up. They make far better friends than enemies. Besides, Nate didn’t really wrong Serena on Season 5; he was just kind of absent and banging cougars. In perhaps what was the worst kept spoiler of Season 6, it turns out that Nate’s new lady friend is Serena’s boyfriend’s daughter. Just how old is Steven, anyway!? Also how could Nate possibly not realize how young that girl was? Nevermind, it’s Nate. How awesome was Georgina’s (Michelle Trachtenberg) line about Nate, “Why is the handsome vacant one calling me?”

Dan and Georgina hands down had the best lines of the episode, which wasn’t that surprising. Also not surprising, Georgina likes to watch Dan sleep and Dan once considered Brooklyn to be a moral high ground. Whatever, at least we didn’t have to see Rufus (Matthew Settle) and Ivy (Kaylee DeFer) getting cuddly under an afghan again. I’m twitching just thinking about it.

The saying is “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned,” but Dan Humphrey is about to turn that old adage on its head. Dan wants revenge on the UES and he wants it now. Despite meetings with a bunch of highly respectable literary establishments including Vanity Fair and New York Magazine, Dan’s refusal to change any elements of his story brought him to The Spectator. In what’s destined to be a mutually beneficial collaboration, Nate will be publishing Dan’s expose, likely pissing off all of their friends.

I really hope Dan doesn’t go too hard on Serena in this book after the way he treated her last season. He even insulted her when she was trying to get a new start on the season premiere. Let Serena have her mature relationship. I really like this new S. You can only be a hot mess for so long… right?

Now onto Gossip Girl’s Buzz Moments, because despite what Nate’s little girlfriend says, Gossip Girl isn’t just for old people!

Buzz Moments

OMG!: Serena having Blair removed from her party by security. This show has done many things, but there has never been a Serena/Blair standoff this serious!

Thank you, TV gods.: All of the humorous exchanges between Dan and Georgina. Of course, she watches you sleep Humphrey!

Awk-ward: Bart claiming that he knows how important family is to Lily. Awww, hey Lil, where’s that kid you gave up for adoption? We haven’t acknowledged him in a few seasons.

Hotness: Nate Archibald morning sex, complete with shirtless shot and bedhead.

Fab-u-lous: All the Season 1 fashion throwbacks we spotted at Eleanor Waldorf Designs; As well as the portraits of S and B from 1×4.

Can. Not. Wait.: S and B smack down/reunion to begin.

Celebuzz meter (1-10): 8. Slowly but surely we’re getting back to a good place.
