After fun in the sun with beau Alex Rodriguez in Mexico and Hawaii over the holidays, Miss Diaz was back in Hollywood on Monday night to premiere her new blockbuster, The Green Hornet. Vacation clearly agreed with Cam, who was red-hot in an Azzaro dress. Co-star Seth Rogen was looking good too!

A new trailer for Rogen’s upcoming superhero movie The Green Hornet (out January 14, 2011) has ben released, this time showcasing the titular crime fighter’s relationship with his sidekick Kato—oh, and lots of powerful weaponry.

The movie stars Rogen as playboy-turned-dogooder Britt Reid, who turns to a life of fighting crime after his publishing-mogul father passes away. Jay Chou plays the role of Kato, who has previously been portrayed by martial-arts legend Bruce Lee.

Seth Rogen is really spreading his wings for his next project.

The Pineapple Express actor’s latest movie, superhero project The Green Hornet, finds Rogen playing Britt Reid, a party-boy newspaper publisher who refocuses his energies on fighting crime when the co-founder of his newspaper is murdered. And now the trailer for the film has been released, allowing the public to determine whether the funnyman has what it takes to play heroic.

The first official images of Seth Rogen in the title role of the upcoming flick The Green Hornet have been released, and while Rogen might not be as noticeably buff as some of his superhero-portraying counterparts, he seems to pull off the role admirably.

Also featured in the photos: Jay Chou as the Green Hornet’s trusty sidekick Kato, a role popularized by Bruce Lee in the 1960s TV series.

Seth Rogen just got a new sidekick.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Taiwanese pop singer/actor Jay Chou will be playing the role of Kato in the upcoming Green Hornet film. Chou landed the part after actor Stephen Chow dropped out of the project.

“Jay is incredibly unique and charming and fights like a wild dog! When I filmed him next to Seth, they had such great chemistry,” enthuses director Michel Gondry.

For his part, Chou will try to distance himself from the Kato portrayed by martial-arts legend Bruce Lee, who originated the part for the screen.

“It’s an overwhelming experience to take on a role made famous by Bruce Lee. I won’t try to be Bruce Lee’s Kato—I will try to bring my own interpretation to the part,” Chou says.

Probably a smart move.

The Green Hornet is going to happen!

According to Variety, Columbia Pictures is in early talks with Nicolas Cage to play the gangster villain in The Green Hornet.

The movie, which is due out next summer, stars Seth Rogen as the masked crime-fighter. Cameron Diaz is already in negotations to play a reporter and love interest for Rogen, something that did not exist in the original TV series.

The film looked like it was in some trouble last week, when actor Stephen Chow left the movie. He was supposed to be playing the role of sidekick Kato (a role originated by Bruce Lee).

Cameron Diaz and Seth Rogen may be appearing on the big screen together soon.

EW.com reports that the There’s Something About Mary star is in talks to star alongside Rogen in the upcoming action flick Green Hornet. The movie, an update of the classic radio program, will star Rogen as Brett Reid, a debonair newspaper publisher by day who fights crime by night, aided by his trusty sidekick Kato (who will be played in the flick by Stephen Chow).

No word on which role Diaz would play, but the film—slated for a July 9, 2010 release date—is scheduled to begin shooting shortly, so a decision will have to be made soon.
