FOX’s Family Guy is coming to the big screen. Creator and Oscar host Seth MacFarlane made the announcement Wedensday to a classroom of UCLA students, revealing, “it’s just a matter of when.” MacFarlane, who was at the class for the mtvU “Stand In” series of guest professors, also announced The Oscar Experience College Search in which an aspiring filmmaker can win the opportunity to present at the Academy Awards. In more MacFarlane news, the funny man has also been tapped to guest star on The Simpsons Season 25 premiere next year. The episode, “Dangers on a Train,” will feature MacFarlane as Ben, a man Marge mistakenly meets on an Ashley Madison-type website. [EW]

ABC’s Scandal hit a season high in the ratings on Thursday with a 2.2. rating in the ad-coveted demo tying CBS’ Elementary. The drama was up 11 percent in the ratings with 6.7 million total viewers. NBC’s 30 Rock also saw season high ratings for the wedding of Liz Lemon (Tina Fey). Meanwhile, the recently cancelled ABC show Last Resort dropped 17 percent to a new series low. As always, CBS’ The Big Bang Theory dominated the Thursday airwaves with 17.2 million viewers. [TVLine]

TLC is exploring the lives of preacher wives in Atlanta with The Sisterhood. The first ladies, as they’re called, work hard to ensure their families and churches are run smoothly as they themselves are held to high extremely high standards. The Sisterhood will bring together five of the most recognized and respected ladies. It premieres Tuesday, Jan. 1 at 9 PM on TLC. [TLC]

With Victorious and iCarly ending, Nickelodeon will be filling the void with a new series from iCarly creator Dan Schneider. The show, Sam & Cat, will bring together Jennette McCurdy, who played Sam on iCarly and Ariana Grande, who played Cat on Victorious as buddies and unlikely roommates. The show has been given a 20-episode order and is set to begin production in January for a 2013 premiere. [Deadline]

The series finale of NBC’s 30 Rock is set to air Thursday, Jan. 31 and will be followed by the premiere of new drama Do No Harm at 10 PM. Rock Center with Brian Williams will also move to Fridays beginning this winter on Feb. 8 at 10 PM. [NBC]

Kelly Clarkson, Pitbull, Melanie Fiona and Metric have joined the lineup of VH1 Divas.  The artists join Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland and Jordin Sparks. The special, hosted by Adam Lambert, will feature a tribute to the late Whitney Houston and Donna Summer. It will be broadcast live on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 9 PM on VH1. [THR]

MTV has decided not to pick up freshman comedy The Inbetweeners for a second season. The show, which is based on a British series of the same name, received soft ratings when it debuted earlier this summer. “While we won’t be moving forward with another season of The Inbetweeners, we enjoyed working with the show’s creators and such a talented, funny cast,” an MTV spokesperson said. Meryl Streep‘s daughter Mammie Gummer is out of a job as The CW has canceled her series, Emily Owens, M.D. The medical drama debuted to just 1.7 million total viewers and a 0.5 demo rating last month, losing out to the presidential debate. A CW insider says the network will still air the 13 episodes from its initial order. [TVLine]

Is FOX canceling The Mob Doctor? Well, not officially, but it sure looks like it as the network has decided to air the final four episodes of the freshman drama’s 13-episode run on Saturday, Dec. 29., Monday, Dec. 31, Saturday, Jan. 5 and Monday, Jan. 7. All episodes will air at 9 PM. The second season of Touch, which was set to launch on Feb. 1 has also been pushed back to Deb. 8 with a two-hour premiere. [TVLine]

The series finale of Nickelodeon’s iCarly was a mega-hit with 6.4 million total viewers for the hour-long episode. The finale, “iGoodBye” was also the top telecast for the month in all kid and tween demographics. In addition, SpongeBob SquarePants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) both end the month as the top two animated childrens’ shows in amount of total viewers. [Nickelodeon]

Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker is back. This season, Patti Stanger will not only be on the hunt for her clients’ lovers but also for herself. Her quest for love will lead her to some new information about her past and her birth parents. Also searching for love on the show this season are Denise Richard’s dad, former MatchBox Twenty guitarist Adam Gaynor, Top Chef’s Just Desserts winner Yigit Pura, Olympic speedskater Allison Baver and retired NFL punter Mitch Berger. Season 6 will premiere on Thursday, Jan. 10 at 9 PM on Bravo. [Bravo]

AMC has picked up another unscripted show, Owner’s Manual, and is set to launch a night of unscripted programming on Thursdays. This night will launch on Valentine’s Day in 2013 beginning at 9 PM with the second half of Season 2 of Comic Book Men, followed by the premieres of Freakshow and Immortalized. Owner’s Manual, which will debut in late 2013 will focus on the debate between those who look at the owner’s manual and those who do not. [Deadline]

While the finale of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars: All Stars hit a season high in the ratings with close to 16.6 million viewers, it was down 27 percent from last year’s finale. Meanwhile, CBS won the night overall with 19.6 million viewers for NCIS and 14.3 million for NCIS: Los Angeles. [TV Guide]

FX has set the return dates for early 2013. The Charlie Sheen-led Anger Management will kick off its new season on Jan. 17 at 9 PM with a regular time slot of 9:30 pm the following week. The show will lead a new comedy block, which also includes Archer and Totally Biased W. Kamau Bell. BrandX with Russel Brand will join the block on Feb. 7.  Season 4 of Justified will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 10 PM. [Zap2it]

The nominees for the 19^th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be broadcast live on TNT on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 9 AM ET/6 AM PT. Presenting the nominations will be Cougar Town star Busy Philipps and Private Practice star Taye Diggs. The announcement will also be shown live on the web on tnt.tv and tbs.com. [SAG Awards]

It’s almost time for fans to say goodbye to the crew behind the hit series, iCarly. On Friday, Nov. 23 at 8 PM, Nick airs the final episode titled “iGoodbye.” And Celebuzz has the exclusive first look at the episode.

Nick will begin airing the first promo from the series finale episode on Saturday night, but you can take a look at it right now above.

Judging from the new promo, there will be some pretty heart wrenching moments for the crew behind the “iCarly” webcast. And there will be a surprise guest. For the first time, fans will meet Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) and Spencer’s (Jerry Trainor) dad… But, Nick is keeping the actor’s identity under wraps.

We don’t know much about Carly and Spencer’s father, Steven Shay. For the show’s six seasons, the U.S. Air Force officer has been stationed on a submarine. So, it will be very interesting to finally meet the man. He has to be a pretty dynamic person to have Carly and Spencer for kids.

Nickelodeon’s iCarly crew meets up with the guys of The History Channel reality series Pawn Stars on Saturday’s new episode at 8 PM.

How do the two groups find themselves thrown together? In Las Vegas, silly. Well, there’s more to the story than that on the episode titled, “iLost My Head in Vegas.”

See, Sam’s (Jennette McCurdy) mom has gotten herself into a pickle while attending a Celine Dion concert. And being the good friends that they are, the gang goes to Las Vegas to help her. That entails pawning some of their prized possessions for cash. Enter the Pawn Stars guys.

Of course, things get even more complicated from there when Gibby (Noah Munck) gets conned and throws off the plan to help Sam’s mother.

And by the way, Jerry Trainor, who plays Spencer, directed this episode.

Nickelodeon’s final season of iCarly is careening toward its hour-long finale series finale in November. And, of course, it’s foolish to think that there won’t be some ruffled feathers along the way for the kooky crew.

On Saturday’s new episode, Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) and T-Bo (Boogie) have a falling out.

And Celebuzz has an exclusive sneak peek at the hilarious drama.

So, what could Carly have done to get T-Bo so angry?

On “iBanned,” Carly decides that T-Bo has overstepped his welcome at the loft after abusing its open door policy. So, T-Bo decides that he can fight fire with fire by banning Carly from Groovy Smoothie. This will probably get ugly.

Also on the next new episode, Freddie (Nathan Kress) and Gibby (Noah Munck) try to impress some girls, but Sam (Jennette McCurdy) throws them a curve ball when she finds out what they’re up to.

Tina Fey will appear with Jimmy Fallon on this weekend’s episode of Nickelodeon’s iCarly. The episode features Fallon impressed with the gang’s spoofs of his skits and asking them to appear on Late Night. Fey will make a brief cameo during the invitation. The episode, entitled “iShock America,” is the premiere of the comedy’s fifth and final season. [EW]

When will your favorite TNT shows return? 

TNT has announced return dates for many of its scripted shows Tuesday. The second season of Dallas will premiere Jan. 28 while the Season 5 premiere of Southland can be seen on Feb. 13. The winter premieres of both Rizzoli & Isles and Leverage will air on Nov. 27. New series Monday Mornings and Boston’s Finest will debut in February – on the fourth and 27th respectively. [EW]

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Reunion Part 1 was the No. 1 unscripted cable show of the week this week with 5.8 million viewers. The 10 Pm premiere telecast achieved its highest ratings of the season with 3.5 million total viewers. [Bravo]

The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) has made double-digit gains in the ratings during the third quarter of 2012 with a more than 63 percent gain in primetime and more than 70 percent for the total day. This is the third consecutive quarter of the year in which the network saw growth. Much of the net’s success is due to Oprah’s Next Chapter episodes featuring Rihanna and Usher among others. Other highlights included Season 2 of Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s and the premiere of Iyanla: Fix My Life. [OWN]

The MTV Movie Awards are coming at us two months early in 2013. The network announced Tuesday that the awards show, which is typically broadcast in June, will be broadcast live on Sunday, April 14, 2013. [MTV]

Emmy-nominated HBO drama, Boardwalk Empire, will be back for a fourth season. The hit show from Martin Scorcese and Terence Winter, featuring Steve Buschemi as Enoch “Nucky” Thompson is a critical and popular success. The show currently averages 8.6 million viewers an episode. [HBO]

Disney Channel’s A.N.T. Farm has been renewed for Season 3. The comedy created by Dan Signer (The Suite Life of Zack & Cody) stars China Anne McClain (Chyna Parks) and Sierra McCormick (Olive Doyle). On the show, Chyna is a musical prodigy who is accepted into the prestigious A.N.T. (Advanced Natural Talents) boarding school. Season 3 will premiere in June 2013. [Deadline]

TLC is set to start production on a reality show that will focus on the fascinating word of celebrity ex-wives and ex-girlfriends. The show, with a working title of Starter Wives, will begin filming in October and is expected to premiere in early 2013. Seven women will be featured including the ex-girlfriends of Floyd Mayweather and 50 Cent. Four hour-long episodes have been order. [TLC]

iCarly may be coming to an end, but Jennette McCurdy’s reign as Nickelodeon’s teen queen has only just begun.

With a new spinoff in the works, it looks like the 20-year-old is celebrating with a tropical getaway to Maui. The actress was spotted having some fun in the sun with a hunky mystery man.

Showing off her curves — and athletic prowess — McCurdy wore a grey bikini and multi-colored swimming shorts as she paddle boarded in the ocean.

What’s ahead for the iCarly starlet?

As we previously reported, McCurdy will star in a spinoff of her hit show iCarly, alongside fellow tween actress Ariana Grande, the star of Nickelodeon’s recently canceled series, Victorious.

The show, tentatively titled Sam & Cat, will follow McCurdy’s iCarly character Sam Puckett and Grande’s Victorious character Cat Valentine as they become roommates and start a baby-sitting business.

Besides acting, McCurdy also loves to sing. She recorded a self-titled debut album with Capitol Records Nashville, which was released this past June, but the aspiring country singer is unfortunately no longer under contract with the label.

“I knew that I was starting this show and I needed to be focused on that,” she recently told the AP. “I didn’t want any one thing to get too muddied with the others. Hopefully a different label will like to sign me.”

After news broke yesterday that Michelle Obama was coming to iCarly, Celebuzz caught up with series star Noah Munck at the Super 8 premiere in Westwood Wednesday night.

“It’s going to be insane, I’m so honored to have a presidential figure on our show,” Munck told us. “It’s crazy.”

So, how was the news broke to stars Noah and Miranda Cosgrove?

“The whole cast found out only when the creator of the show told us about it! It just happened. We were just all so stoked, jumping around.”

The story line is still being kept under wraps, but Noah did tell us this much:

“I don’t know what her complete role will be yet, but she’s coming on to promote her organization that assists military in service families. So it will be very cool.”

Next up, Noah is in Bad Teacher alongside Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake, and Jason Segel:

“My character is the bully of the class, which is much different from my character on Nickelodeon,” he tells Celebuzz. “He’s the troublemaker that makes Cameron upset.”

Continued Munck about his experience on set:

“They are such a cool cast. Cameron Diaz is amazing, down to earth, I just think she is one of, if not the coolest actresses I have ever met. Justin is awesome, they have a great dynamic. Jason is just as awesome.”

But don’t think Cameron and Justin made Noah too star-struck.

Munck also revealed on the carpet that Brad Pitt recently came up to him revealing that iCarly was a fixture in his large household!

The upcoming hour-long Big Time Rush episode will feature an extra-special musical number between the two Nickelodeon powerhouses. In a sneak peek music video, Miranda and the boys of Big Time Rush sing their own version of Mariah Carey‘s Christmas classic, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

Uh-oh, Miranda Cosgrove, it appears that you might have incurred the wrath of an entire state with the slip of the Twitter.

The 17-year-old iCarly star has sparked a budding scandal after canceling her performance at the Arizona State Fair in Phoenix this year, citing an “unavoidable scheduling conflict.” Unfortunately for Cosgrove, some members of the Grand Canyon State’s media have discovered that there’s something called Twitter, and that Miranda Cosgrove is on Twitter, and judging from her tweets it seems that the singer/actress’ other engagement might not have been so pressing after all.

One of Cosgrove’s tweets from the night of Sunday, September 7—the night that she was scheduled to perform—cheerily notes,

“Sitting in my favorite French restaurant after 4 hours of French with my tutor.”

Which prompted The Arizona Rebublic to note, with obvious dismay,

“Sacre bleu!”

Might as well throw a “Mon dieu!” in there too. And maybe a “D’oh!” while you’re at it.

Miranda Cosgrove wants you to come out and play.

The iCarly star did her part for Nickelodeon’s Annual Worldwide Day of Play on Saturday, performing at an event to commemorate the day, which annually encourages kids to turn off the TV and have some active fun outdoors.

Prepare yourselves, iCarly fans; Miranda Cosgrove is set to show a whole new side of herself on the big screen.

Cosgrove—who’s already lending her voice talents to this summer’s Despicable Me—is set to take a new turn in another flick, How Can You Do This to Me?, about a teenage girl whose life is thrown into chaos when her divorced parents attempt a reconciliation. The script is currently being written by British authoress/screenwriter Emma Forrest, the scribe behind such young-adult novels as Namedropper and Thin Skin.

Which means the 16-year-old is going to be very busy in the coming months; not only did Cosgrove just release her latest album, Sparks Fly, but last month she signed on to film an additional 26 episodes of iCarly.

Good thing Miranda’s also signed on to be a spokesperson for Neutrogena; with that kind of schedule, she’s going to need all the help she can get looking fresh.

We know you’ve all been wondering—what is Miranda Cosgrove‘s take on Kanye West‘s shameful display at this year’s Video Music Awards?

Luckily, the iCarly star sat down with PopEater to discuss that fateful day in show-biz recently.

According to Cosgrove, who was in attendance at the now-infamous event,

“One of my friends came with me to the VMAs… he was sitting in the audience, watching. I came out [from backstage] and I hadn’t heard anything. I didn’t know what happened. And I walked off the stage from introducing Taylor Swift, and he was like, ‘You’re not going to believe what happened.’ I was kind of shocked by the whole thing. But at the very end, when Beyonce had Taylor Swift come out—that was so cool. Makes me like Beyonce even more. It was like a moment in a movie—an amazing, sweet moment.”

Ah, but was it as sweet and amazing as Miranda’s smash-hit single, “Raining Sunshine”?

Speaking of which, Miranda also discusses her burgeoning singing career, fan encounters and how she manages to stay so gosh-darn down to earth in a crazy industry.

Cosgrove recorded the song for the upcoming movie Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, which will spread its gale-force storm of sunshine in theaters across the country on September 18.

Good news, Miranda Cosgrove fans!

You’ll get to see even more of the iCarly star next week, when she appears on a special two-hour episode of MTV Cribs.

For those not yet in the know, Nickelodeon’s iCarly follows the adventures, calamities and comedic interludes of one Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove).  Carly is that typically shy teenage girl who attempts to achieve world domination through a homegrown web cast.

While living under the guardianship of her 20-something brother, the show’s wily and sweet protagonist grapples with the awkward bits about growing up that afflict every adolescent girl.  Plus, Carly deals with the extra confusion that goes along with being a famous teenage icon, much like Miranda Cosgrove herself must feel.

People reports that the 15-year-old up-and-comer will be giving tours of 12 young celebrities’ homes on the first-ever MTV Cribs Celeb Teens Countdown.

“A few weeks ago I got to shoot a special edition of MTV Cribs and I get to count down the top 12 teen homes in Cribs history,” Cosgrove writes on her MySpace page.

The celebrities opening their doors to the teen sensation reportedly include rapper-turned-actor Bow Wow, 21, Olympic snowboarder Shaun White, 22, and pop-singer sisters Aly & AJ.

Cosgrove’s edition of Cribs will air Saturday, January 17. Tune in; it totally won’t be jank.

Is Miranda Cosgrove about to displace Miley Cyrus as the reigning tween queen?

Multichannel reports that the iCarly feature flick, iGo to Japan, broke ratings records for Nickelodeon on Friday, drawing 7.6 million viewers—more than the network has ever received for a live-action television movie.

The movie—which followed the overseas travels of Internet broadcaster Carly May (portrayed by 15-year-old Cosgrove), did particularly well with kids 2 to 11 and K2 to 11.

Most impressively, the movie scored the highest ratings for an entertainment show the week of November 3 through 9.

No, that’s not an earthquake you just felt; just the shaking of a very nervous Mouse over at Disney headquarters.

Maybe it’s time for you to move on to greener pastures, Miley. Because Miranda is starting to make you look a tad jank.
