Looks like she couldn’t make it up from North Carolina. The Hunger Games just started filming there this week and the cast is on a rigorous schedule.

Filming for the movie, I’m With Cancer, begins soon and McAvoy was afraid that the filming would have forced him to miss the birth of his child with his wife, actress Ann-Marie Duff. (Cutie-pie Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been drafted to replace McAvoy in the film.) Even though he may be missing that million-dollar paycheck, we think McAvoy’s gesture of devotion to his wife and unborn child is genuinely sweet and almost brings a tear to our computer-fried eyes.

Maybe fellow Brit Jude Law could learn a thing or two about fatherhood from McAvoy’s example?

The paper’s Friday edition carried a review of the Angelina Jolie-James McAvoy action-thriller Wanted and concluded that Angie is pretty much the only reason to check out the flick. 

Reviewer Mahnola Dargis opines that director Timur Bekmambetov has “nothing else going for [his] big Hollywood debut except Ms. Jolie and a couple of ideas recycled from The Matrix and Fight Club.”

As if anything could be better than that.

“I can tell you what it was like to kiss her on a film set: It was awkward, sweaty and not very nice,” he tells the mag. “There was angst involved in that, as always. I don’t think Brad Pitt felt threatened for one moment.”

McAvoy apparently feels sex scenes really just stir up a lot of anxiety.

Now, 1.8 million guys around the world have signed a petition requesting that McAvoy shut the hell up, stand aside and let a real man handle things.

McAvoy’s a gifted and handsome actor. And his wife is perfectly handsome as well. Combined, they wield about 1/5,000th the star power of Angie and Brad.

The film’s poster is composed of 100% Angelina Jolie, and 0% James McAvoy.

It must have been humiliating for James to stand in front of that poster, surely aware that his very presence was disappointing everyone in the vicinity.

Don’t listen to any crap about how Angelina couldn’t make it because flying in might not be a good idea when she’s due to pop out twins any second now.

Angelina Jolie has magical powers, and can instantly transport herself anywhere she wants just by thinking about it. Shut up, it’s true.
