Twilight’s Jamie Campbell Bower sure moves on quickly.

Less than two weeks after revealing he had split with Bonnie Wright, his fiancée of over a year, the 23-year-old has been caught getting close to his new co-star Lily Collins.

Bower and Collins, 23, were spotted walking hand in hand on Tuesday in Toronto, Canada, where they are set to start filming Mortal Instruments, based on the science fiction book series of the same name.

Now, the author of ‘Mortal Instruments’ has revealed that Collins and Bower were already “incredible together” a year ago.

Author Cassandra Clare says it was the chemistry between the pair in real life — even though Bower was engaged at the time – that landed them the role of on-screen lovers.

“He auditioned with Lily, and he and Lily had incredible chemistry that sort of blazed off the scene,” she said in an interview with MTV in June of last year.

“He was snarky funny where he needed to be snarky funny, and he was badass where he needed to be badass. And he and Lily were incredible together.”

They also rehearsed a kissing scene, Clare said.

According to the author, Collins — who has previously been romantically tied to Zac Efron — was certainly impressed with her possible co-star, campaigning to ensure her on-screen love interest was Bower.

“In fact, after all the auditions, because she’s done auditions with a bunch of different actors, she wrote to the head of the studio, Clint Culpepper of Screen Gems, and she was like, ‘It’s Jamie. It’s gotta be Jamie.’

“He told me that, this was before he had seen the audition, he told me that he wrote back and he was like, ‘He’s a rock star hipster kind of guy. Do you think he can be a badass warrior-dude, as well?’ And she wrote back and said, ‘That is Jace standing there. When you watch the audition, you’ll see what I see.’ ”

Ironically, Bower also met his ex-fiancé on set too.

After just six months of dating, the Sweeney Todd actor proposed to 21-year-old-old Wright, who he met on set of Harry Potter. The engaged couple had been living together in a London townhouse prior to the split.

Bower told the Daily Mail he was “heartbroken” last month but did not say when the pair had split.

Bower confirmed to The Daily that he popped the question to the Harry Potter star (aka Ginny Weasley):

“I am engaged. I’m very happy. It’s a wonderful, wonderful time.”

You probably recognize Jamie as Volturi member Caius in The Twilight Saga, but did you know he also had a role in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows parts 1 and 2?

Rumors have swirled for a while now these twenty-something’s were betrothed. As for where Jamie and Bonnie are in the wedding planning process? Bower says in his interview:

“We are [planning], but I won’t say when and I won’t say where. Or how.”

Can’t blame them for wanting to keep the news a secret. Congrats again you two!

One’s a witch, and the other’s a vampire, but apparently such hurdles are inconsequential where true love is involved.

Jamie Campbell Bower and Bonnie Wright have reportedly announced their engagement to their co-stars on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, despite the fact that  the two lovebirds have been seeing each other for less than six months, and only went public with their relationship at this February’s Bafta Awards. 

According to a source, cast members were stunned when the pair came forward with news of their betrothal:

“We are all absolutely shocked and surprised and can’t believe that Jamie has asked Bonnie to marry him.”

Wright, who plays Ginny Weasley in the incredibly popular Harry Potter film series, and Bower, who portrays Volturi vampire clan member Caius in the Twilight sequel New Moon, reportedly fell hard for each other while filming the two-part Harry Potter finale Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. (Bower portrays dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald in the series finale.) Someone must have cast a pretty powerful love spell between takes.

No word on a date for the upcoming nuptials.

Finally, some news to bridge the divide between the oft-contentious Harry Potter and Twilight camps.

Jamie Campbell Bower (aka, New Moon Volturi clan member Caius) and Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley in Hogwarts-speak) have come clean and admitted that they are a couple, ending months of agonizing speculation among celebrity-relationship buffs.

Wright spilled the beans to OK! Magazine at London’s BA & BAFTA Silent Picturehouse on Wednesday, which happened to be the actress’ 19th birthday, telling a reporter: 

“Yes, we’re dating. We’ve been seeing each other for a few months. It’s good.”

The two have been rumored to be an item since last October, when they were spotted acting suspiciously couple-ish during an event at London’s Saatchi Gallery. But until now, Bower—who also plays rogue wizard Gellert Grindelwald in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows—and Wright have remained tight-lipped about the nature of their relationship. Somebody must have cast an honesty spell on them last night.

Actor Jamie Campbell Bower looked super cute last night at the NYC premiere of his new film The Prisoner at the IFC Center.

The Prisoner premieres on Sunday, November 15 at 8PM on AMC. The mini-series will air over three consecutive nights.

As you may know, Jamie also plays the evil Volturi leader Caius in New Moon, which hits theatres in a matter of weeks!

New Moon‘s Volturi were in full force at the 4th International Rome Film Festival on Thursday, as the Twilight sequel received its premiere at the Auditorium Parco della Musica.

Judging from this video, yes indeed.

The actor—who plays Volturi clansman Caius in the upcoming Twilight sequel New Moon—recently talked to MTV about his favorite scene from the movie.

Without hesitating, Campbell Bower enthused, ” Well, there’s a particular scene where we rip this guy apart, and I just sit there smiling and really enjoying it. When I got the script, I was like, ‘That’s the one I want to do the most!,’ because there’s nothing to say. It’s really sordid, gross and really grim—that was pretty fun.”

Yikes; we’d hate to hear what his idea of a non-fun time is.

Sorry, Twi-hards; despite what Jamie  Campbell Bower has to say, there will be no skin-tastic moments in the Twilight sequel New Moon.

Bower, who plays Volutri leader Caius in the upcoming flick, piqued the interest of randy vampire enthusiasts everywhere when he intimated that there would be a nude scene in the film.

“We just all sit there, completely naked, for one scene,” Bower teased during an interview at Comic-Con. “[I]t’s me, Michael Sheen and Christopher [Heyerdahl]; we just sit there, naked…It’s a full-body shot, and then Peter [Facinelli] comes in, and it all gets a bit awkward.”

But now New Moon director Chris Weitz has rushed forward to dispel Bower’s fanciful notion.

“Dear all,” Weitz writes in a statement. “I would like to put everyone’s mind at rest and let them know that the Volturi are not naked! Jamie has what you might call a dry sense of humor and almost managed to convince me — which is why he’s such a good actor. Anyway, be assured that, even though we do want the look of the Volturi to be a bit of a surprise, they are always — as in the book! — fully clothed.”

Aw, shucks. But we still get shirtless RPattz and Taylor Lautner scenes, right?

Watch out, world; Jamie Campbell Bower has a chip on his shoulder! At least on the big screen.

The Harry Potter actor—who plays Volturi leader Caius in the upcoming Twilight sequel New Moon—tells MTV that he’ll be putting a particularly surly spin on his character.

“[New Moon director Chris Weitz] gave us a lot of freedom,” Bower recalls. “We sat down prior to it and just bounced ideas around. The backstory for Caius is already there, as it is for the Volturi. It’s all fairly self-explanatory. We sat down and I said, ‘I think he’s got this deep-rooted anger. He doesn’t have a power, and he’s pretty pissed off about that, because the rest of them have powers.’ And then, once we got on set, he was just like, ‘Go for it.’ We’d do a couple of takes of the same thing, and then we’d change it up and I’d do something crazy.”

Like, what kind of crazy things?

“We’d do different accents, different styles,” Bower notes. “There would be one that would be very introverted, and then there would be another one that would be completely theatrical. It was good fun.”

Sounds like a wacky time.

If you don’t know who Jamie Campbell Bower is, he’s becoming sort of a HUGE deal in the acting world. 

Bower recently joined the mega-successful Twilight franchise as the frightening Volturi vampire Caius in New Moon. He’s currently about to head to Italy to film the majority of his scenes. 

Now, the pale-skinned 20-year-old has been confirmed for the final two Harry Potter films. After many months of rumors, his manager confirmed to the French Harry Potter site L’ Univers de Harry Potter at the Cannes Film Festival that Bower will be playing Grindelwald in the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows films.

The film is currently being filmed on the English seacoast. If you don’t mind seeing spoilers, check out our on-the-set pictures from the movie set.

Attention, New Moon fanatics; after much conjecture and not a few false alarms, Summit Entertainment has solidified the cast for the upcoming Twilight sequel.

Among the new additions to the already confirmed cast members—such as Canadian beauty Noot Seear in the role of Heidi—according to E! Online:

• Cameron Bright, known for his work in Thank You for Smoking and X-Men: The Last Stand, will be filling the role of Volturi clan member Alec.

• Graham Greene, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his supporting role in Dances With Wolves, will be playing Quileute leader Harry Clearwater.

• Jamie Campbell Bower, who moviegoers will also be seeing in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, has been tapped for the part of Volturi member Caius.

• Daniel Cudmore, also known as Colossus in the X-Men franchise, takes on the role of Volturi member Felix.

• Christopher Heyerdahl (The Chronicles of Riddick) will add to his credits as Marcus.

• Tinsel Korey, known for Into the West, will play Sam Uley’s fiancée Emily.

20-year-old Jamie has been added to phenomenon New Moon’s fray, cast as Volturi head Caius.

“Shooting has already started, and I’m going over in June,” Campbell-Bower tells the BBC.

“I haven’t read the books before. But it’s a great thing to be a part of, and it did very well last year.”

You don’t say!

You might recognize Jamie from his turn alongside Johnny Depp in Sweeney Todd or in Guy Ritchie‘s RocknRolla.

And is he in for the same overwhelming fan response lavished upon one Robert Pattinson?

“I doubt I’ll get the same sort of adulation as Robert – but it’s always nice when people recognize you for your work.”

Jamie is joined by already-announced Volturi Dakota Fanning, and will star alongside returning Twilight members Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Nikki Reed.
