Back in 2007, Britney‘s little sister left Hollywood to become a teen mom and has maintained a very low profile — until now. Just a few months shy of her 21st birthday, Jamie Lynn is opening up to Glamour about how her life was turned upside down and how she’s moving forward.

“It was 2007. I had been on a Nickelodeon show, Zoey 101, and after we wrapped shooting, I just wanted to go home to Louisiana and finish high school, be a cheerleader, all that. Then I found out I was pregnant. I was young. I was in love. I was like every other teenager, except I had this last name. And I made a decision that is forever my decision,” she said.

She went on to explain the reason why she wasn’t using birth control at the time. “Like many young girls, I was really scared to go to the doctor… I was on a Nickelodeon show, and it felt especially embarrassing to ask someone to put me on birth control … I did feel responsible for the young girls and the mothers who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn’t trying to glamorize teen pregnancy,” she said.

At the time, she and then-boyfriend Casey Aldridge tried to make it work, but they eventually separated in 2009. Now as a single mother raising daughter Maddie, Jamie Lynn reveals this has only brought her closer to her big sister.

“[Our bond as mothers], it’s such a big thing, you know? Especially ’cause there’s an age gap there — she’s 10 years older. I think if I were just a normal 20-year-old, I wouldn’t be able to relate as much to her,” she said.

She hasn’t given up on love but is taking her romantic life very slowly.

“I’ve been on dates here and there, going to dinner or a movie, but nothing further than that. I’m a mother first. I have a little girl, and until I’m serious about someone, he’s not going to be around her. I’m not going to say, “Come to the house, and let’s watch a movie,” because I have Maddie there.”

She adds: “I have to be patient and wait for the right time and the right guy. I would have never known that until I went through what I went through. I’m just patiently waiting for Prince Charming.”

Jamie Lynn Spears joined her big sis Britney for her nephew Sean Preston‘s Little League game in Los Angeles. Also in attendance was their mom Lynne Spears, Jamie Lynn’s daughter Maddie, Britney’s boyfriend Jason Trawick and Britney’s ex Kevin Federline and his pregnant girlfriend Victoria Prince. 

Britney and the boys have been spending quite a bit of time at the ballpark lately.

The singer tweeted on Sunday a pic of her and her sons following a Little League game, writing:

“Had a great time at the boys’ tee ball game yesterday, made the boys mama’s homemade sweet tea after!”

When she’s not hanging out with her own family, she’s helping other people reunite. The pop princess tweeted in support of the St. Bernard Project: 

“It’s time to bring families back home to New Orleans. Join the @Stbernardproj with me & help rebuild lives -Britney”

“They said it was borderline whether he needed surgery or not,” a source close to the magazine tells the family, “but they’ve taken some scans and see no further damage.”

Aldridge, 19, crashed his Ford F-250 while reportedly driving home from a bachelor party for his cousin. Aldridge’s car, which was also carrying four male passengers, went off the shoulder of the road and flipped over. Casey and two of the passengers were thrown from the truck during the crash.

According to early reports, Aldridge had suffered a cracked skull and was going in and out of consciousness.

A source notes that Spears accompanied Aldridge in the ambulance while he was transported from  a small hospital in Vidalia, Louisiana, to a medical center in Jackson, Mississippi, and has since been spending time at his side.

“Jamie Lynn has been at the hospital, and all indications are that she is holding up well,” says a source.

Law enforcement officials, meanwhile, are expressing surprise that Aldridge and his passengers—only one of whom was wearing a seatbelt, according to a source—didn’t sustain worse injuries.

“It’s an anomaly that no one was injured more seriously,” says Louisiana State Police spokesman Mark Dennis. “Usually in that kind of accident, you see serious injuries or fatalities.”

People is reporting that Casey, 19, was driving his Ford F-250 early Sunday morning with three male friends when the vehicle crashed. A source says that he had been at a bachelor party for his cousins prior to the accident and that the car went off the shoulder of the road and flipped over. 

A family member says that the on-again, off-again boyfriend of Jamie Lynn has a ”a cracked skull” and has been ” in and out” of consciousness, but luckily his condition is “not as serious as we thought at first.”

Casey’s friends survived as well, with one friend suffering from a broken collarbone, and the others reporting pain and bruising. 

Radar is reporting that Casey has a hematoma and may have a blood clot in his brain. 

He is also being charged with a misdemeanor for the wreck, for careless operation of a vehicle.

Jamie Lynn is reportedly at his bedside at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Spears has been working on a country album, according to E! Online.

A source close to the Spears family reveals that Jamie Lynn has been “has been quietly working on a country album since last fall.” Spears has cut demo tracks in Nashville, but has not secured a record label as of yet.

The former Nickelodeon tween star, now 17, made headlines when she announced that she was pregnant in December 2007. Spears gave birth to baby girl Maddie Briann last June and relocated to Mississippi to raise her.

Jamie Lynn’s only other musical offering to date has been the theme song to her former Nickelodeon series, Zoey 101, which older sis Britney wrote for her. This will be her first foray back into show biz since becoming a mom.

MSNBC reports that Jamie Lynn has selected a Monique Lhuillier gown, ordered invitations and chosen a three-tiered chocolate cake for her big day.

Spears, 17, and Aldridge, 19, have been in the spotlight for over a year now, since the world learned the two teens were expecting a child together in December 2007.

The youngest of the Spears siblings gave birth to Maddie Briann Aldridge on June 19, 2008.

Perhaps Jamie Lynn was moved to finally tie the knot with Casey after her brother, Bryan Spears, 31, married Graciella Sanchez, on New Year’s Eve.

The entire Spears family was in attendance for Bryan’s nuptials, but Jamie Lynn has a particular connection with new sister-in-law Sanchez; Graciella, 36, is the former Zoey 101 star’s manager.

And if the wedding reports are true, sometime soon, Britney—who has been married twice now—will be the only one of the Spears clan to remain single.

NHL player Sean Avery has issued a public apology for a comment he made during a televised interview in which he referred to ex-girlfriend Elisha Cuthbert as “sloppy seconds,” reports TMZ . The former Vogue intern, who is currently under suspension, reportedly aimed the comment at fellow NFL player Dion Phaneuf who is currently dating Cuthbert. “I would like to sincerely apologize for my off-color remarks to the press yesterday from Calgary. I should not have made those comments and I recognize that they were inappropriate. It was a bad attempt to build excitement for the game, but I am now acutely aware of how hurtful my actions were. I caused unnecessary embarrassment to my peers as well as people I have been close with in the past,” Avery said in a statement.

Us reports that Men in Trees and Ellen DeGeneres ex Anne Heche is pregnant with co-star James Tupper‘s baby. “They are thrilled,” a rep said in a statement. Heche has a six-year-old son, Homer, with ex-husband Coley Laffoon.

People reports that former Baywatch star Gena Lee Nolin and her husband, NHL hockey player Cale Hulse, have had a baby girl. “Stella Monroe Hulse was born Wednesday in Scottsdale, Ariz., and weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long,” according to her rep.

Us reports that Oprah Winfrey will tape her talk show in Washington, DC during the week of President Elect Barack Obama‘s inauguration. Winfrey will reportedly host her show from the Opera House at the Kennedy Center. “That’s where I’m going to be,” Winfrey said. “See you there… that’s the place to be.”

A source tells the mag that, when she first became pregnant at 16 and started packing on the pounds, Spears begged her mother Lynne to allow her to undergo liposuction treatment.

“She didn’t know she was pregnant when she filled out the health questionnaire prior to the procedure,” another mole reveals. “Her mom approved the injections and went through tons of red tape to get the clinic to administer them to an underage patient.”

Now the former Zoey 101 star, currently 17, is said to be worried about what effect the procedure might have had on her five-month-old daughter, and rightfully so.

“Any form of liposuction is dangerous and should not be performed on a pregnant woman,” Dr. Gary Burton, a plastic surgeon, explains to the magazine. “It poses serious health risks to the fetus.”

Luckily, Maddie appears to be a perfectly healthy child, and Mom appears to have slimmed down to her pre-pregnancy weight, presumably without a surgeon’s assistance.

The day after her son, Jayden James Federline, was released from the hospital after suffering an allergic reaction, Britney brought the kids to Kliebert’s Turtle and Alligator Tours in Hammond, Louisiana. The family check out some reptiles of the non-Hollywood variety.

Also along for the excursion: Brit’s sister Jamie Lynn, who may or may not have a second little blessing on the way.

Britney packed the boys up and flew them to Louisiana on Friday to enjoy some much-needed family-bonding time.

Tish Cyrus reportedly had a secret heart-to-heart with harried mother of two Lynne Spears in which Lynne described dealing with her two daughters—both experiencing life difficulties and with children of their own.

Billy Ray allegedly caught Miley making out with live-in underwear mannequin Justin Gaston and felt the need to set her straight about a few things.

“I told her in no uncertain terms that her career would be over if something stupid were to happen,” Billy Ray told a friend. “I think I made an impression on her—at least, I hope so.”

A person who claims to be a friend of Jamie Lynn’s has stepped forward to put the kibosh on the pregnancy scuttlebutt—and to offer some backwoods opinions of her own, Celebslam reports.

The supposed pal, who calls herself “Diane“—and says she’s the friend who was photographed with Spears at Wal-Mart last week—tells the site, “Jamie Lynn is NOT pregnant and I wish everyone would stop being so judgemental [sic] because if you weren’t having sex at 16 it probabaly [sic] means you were very unattractive.”

Yeah, or maybe they just didn’t want to end up becoming parents before they graduated high school. Whatevs!

Maybe Ma and Pa Spears should expand their sex-ban policy to Jamie Lynn—and every nitwit she spends time with.

The last word had it she is pregnant and second-time-father-to-be Casey Aldridge was furious about allegedly learning he was going to be a dad again via the tabloids and not from his girlfriend.

But outside their shack of dysfunctional strife, the two teens are maintaining a “business as usual” face for the public. There don’t seem to be any lightning-quick rides to remedy the situation yet.

Spears and Aldridge were recently snapped doing some mundane shopping at the Wal-Mart in McComb, Mississippi.

Perhaps it’s time to stock up on food for those pregnancy cravings, and maybe even get started on twice the amount of formula and diapers?

The tabloid is now claiming an anonymous family member is supporting the story and saying that her fiance Casey Aldrige is furious over the unplanned pregnancy. And that the rest of her family is allegedly urging her to terminate.

“Jamie Lynn is being pressured by people very close to her to abort. But no decision has been made yet,” says the source. “Casey is furious. Jamie Lynn hadn’t told him about the pregnancy. He learned about it in the media and then confronted her and she told him it was true.”

Jamie’s mom Lynne Spears is also supposed to be “livid” over the impending child, and has been “arguing nonstop” with Jamie over the telephone. Lynne is currently on a book tour.
