It has been quite a ride for Jennel Garcia on FOX’s The X Factor. Viewers watched as she flirted her way through auditions and boot camp, then they met a much sleeker rocker girl during the live performance shows.

But, her journey of change came to an end on Thursday’s elimination show when it was revealed she was in the bottom three and then went head-to-head with teammate Paige Thomas.

“Of course, I’m feeling down, because I don’t want to leave,” Garcia tells Celebuzz after the show. “But, I’m very proud of myself, so I’m OK.”

Hip-hop group Lyric145 was instantly booted while Garcia and Thomas were left to duke it out in a sing-off.

When it was time for the judges to reveal who they’re sending home, Simon Cowell refused to say his decision – after Britney Spears and L.A. Reid voted to eliminate Garcia – until Demi Lovato revealed her pick first. Despite host Mario Lopez’s attempts to get Simon to go ahead, they finally moved on to Lovato. And, she ended up throwing her elimination vote to Thomas.

“I was definitely annoyed,” Garcia told us of the spat. “I just wanted to get it over with, because it was painful… He’s just being Simon.”

The Rochester, Mass. resident told us she’s not sure about what’s next for her career, but tweeted later Thursday night, “So if I made my own album would yall buy it?”

FOX’s The X Factor probably put a damper on next week’s Thanksgiving festivities for two performers on Thursday’s results show. Plus, Taylor Swift performed her single, “State of Grace.”

On Wednesday, the contenders honored the music industry’s biggest divas. For some, it totally worked out. For others, things just didn’t click. Arin Ray, CeCe Frey and Beatrice Miller were among the acts that didn’t earn great remarks from the judges. Who will end up singing to stay in the competition?

After host Mario Lopez teased that the show would make a clean break with… just kidding. The show threw some commercials in before announcing that, whoa, Lyric145, is sent home! They were ranked No. 9 last week.

“We didn’t get the opportunity to show what we really had,” Lyric Da Queen says after the announcement.

Honestly, I don’t think Simon knew what to do with the group and repeatedly made them perform numbers that just didn’t feel contemporary – or even remotely cool. That said, I did feel that they would have had a couple more weeks in the competition to give us a taste of the group they’re supposed to be.

The safe performers were then announced in the following order:

Arin Ray, Vino Alan, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Diamond White, Tate Stevens, Emblem3, Beatrice Miller, CeCe Frey, and Fifth Harmony. So, Demi Lovato will now need to watch two of her singers go against each other in a sing-off, then choose one.

Jennel Garcia sings for her life first. She’s definitely undergone a style makeover, which Simon Cowell continues to harp on. But when doing her own thing, she’s kind of amazing. She takes on Hoobastank’s ”The Reason,” a song that definitely touches on her makeover (as she revealed to us after the show).

Paige Thomas has been drawing influences from Rihanna for the whole competition. In this sing-off, she sings Coldplay’s ”Paradise.” And it’s just the kind of haunting, emotional song that works for her.

Without going to a commercial, the judges cast their vote. First, L.A. Reid votes against Jennel. Britney Spears follows with a vote against Jennel, as well. Simon Cowell can now send Jennel home, but decides to force Demi’s hand and have her reveal her choice first.

In turn, Demi votes against Paige and it looks like Demi forces a singer’s fate back to Simon – smart cookie. So, Simon calls it “an easy decision” and put the knife in Jennel — she’s done.

Then, the show unveiled its newest trick: The Rankings. Here they are:

Biggest movers? CeCe proves once again she’s a survivor. Arin also conquers after a very sad technical difficulty that botched his song on Wednesday. But, Diamond falls from No. 4 to No. 7.
