In a recent interview with Billboard magazine, the teen talent opened up about his split with Selena Gomez, admitting he is having a difficult time bouncing back from young love.

“I’m trying to get through what I’m going through,” Biebs told the magazine. “Like I said, I have my really close friends to cheer me up and keep me going.”

Meanwhile, Selena was quoted this week projecting very different vibes (check out the gallery for Selena’s quote of the week). The 20-year-old Spring Breakers star says she is doing “really good” in the wake of the break up.

Forget elegant updos or straight, shiny locks, the latest red carpet hair trend is beyond bold. Not quite a mullet, not quite a mowhawk, we’re talking about that voluminous ‘do known as the pompadour.

Originating in the 1700s from the style of a French woman named, we kid you not, Madame de Pompadour (aka, the mistress of King Louis the XV), this style requires a whole lot of volume — and fearlessness.

While women — and men (think: Elvis, John Travolta in Grease, and Biebs on occasion) — have worn this ‘do over the years, it wasn’t until this season that A-list ladies have overwhelmingly reclaimed it, putting their own spin on the uber retro hairstyle.

Celebs best known for their sense of style adventure like Pink, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna have worn the pompadour both on — and off — the red carpet. But the fact that Scarlett Johannson, Julianne Hough and Jenny McCarthy have also pumped up the volume to give this bold trend a spin is proof that the pomp has gone mainstream (at least in Hollywood).

Whether you’re planning to crop your locks or not, there are plenty of ways to seriously rock this style out.

Jenny McCarthy is stepping out with a new man.

The former Playboy playmate, who split from NFL star Brian Urlacher in August, was spotted getting cozy with celebrity jewelry designer Pascal Mouawad on Thursday night.

“Pascal took Jenny on a dinner date,” a source tells Celebuzz. “They had a great time. Pascal thinks she’s a lot of fun.”

Mouawad, who launched Kim Kardashian‘s successful Belle Noel jewelry line and Nicole Richie’s House of Harlow 1960 collection, wined and dined McCarthy at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills. According to our source, he and the blonde bombshell have known each other for years.

“There’s always been a spark,” revealed the insider.  “They’ve definitely been more than friends and have had some romantic moments.”

Afterward, the budding couple partied the night away at Greystone nightclub with McCarthy’s sister JoJo to celebrate her birthday, according to the source.

It’s not the first time Mouawad and McCarthy  have been spotted together: an eyewitness says the two canoodled at Hollywood lounge Bootsy Bellows shortly after McCarthy broke up with Chicago Bears player Urlacher.

“Pascal is having a great time hanging out with Jenny,” added our source, “and he’s fond of her.”

McCarthy has certainly been keeping busy on all fronts — she just released a new book, Bad Habits: Confessions of a Recovering Catholic, and recently moved back to her hometown of Chicago.

In her new book titled Bad Habits: Confessions of a Recovering Catholic, television host and former Playboy playmate Jenny McCarthy revealed she grew up wanting to be a nun — but the tell-all also detailed a gamut of unholy behavior during her career.

The former girlfriend of Jim Carrey recounted how she previously abused drugs, including Ecstasy and Vicodin.

Indeed, she recalled one drug-fueled trip to Hawaii with a group of Playmates that she admitted turned into a lesbian tryst.

“Holding up drugs in front of a group of Playmates was like holding up an arm to a cannibal tribe,” the 39-year-old wrote. “We jumped on the box fighting to get as many little white capsules as possible. Instead of saving some for later, we all pounded at least five at once.”

McCarthy — who has a 12 year-old son, Evan — recalled what happened once the drugs took effect.

“It was incredibly intense,” she wrote. “So much so that we all began to express love for one another by making out with each other.”

It left one male onlooker stunned, she noted.

“I can only imagine the shock he was in seeing that he was the only man on the beach with fourteen really f***** up Playmates who just happened to also be making out with each other,” wrote McCarthy, who was named Playmate of the Year in 1993.

It wasn’t the first or the last time McCarthy experimented with drugs, however.

She confessed “turning into a stoner and mushroom expert” before she went to college. Later, McCarthy admitted, she also ended up “detoxing from Vicodin.”

Jenny McCarthy is getting back in touch with her Midwestern roots – and wants her son to do the same, a source tells Celebuzz.

The Love in the Wild host was recently promoting her stint as Playboy’s July cover girl in her hometown of Chicago, IL, at the Ciroq Cabana Club, where she was ecstatic to be in familiar surroundings.

“I’m so glad to call Chicago home again!” the 39-year-old said.

Why is Jenny moving to the Windy City?

“I’ll still be filming my shows in L.A., but I’ll fly back and forth. I’ll be tailgating at all the Chicago Bears home games!”

Although she’ll be closer to her new love, Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher, contrary to reports, McCarthy’s not moving for him.

She’s doing it for the other love in her life – her 10-year-old son Evan.

“The move didn’t have anything to do with her current relationship,” says a source. “She wanted her son to grow up with her family and have a more normal life.

“She moved to the suburbs next to her best girl friend.”

However, NFL beau, 34, is a welcomed coincidence for the actress to return to the Windy City.

“Jenny is smitten with Brian. She likes that he’s a down to earth Midwest boy,” says the source.

The former Playmate’s last high profile relationship was with comedian Jim Carrey, whom she dated for more than five years.

McCarthy has been candid about her past with the 50-year-old actor, even saying that he turned his back on her autistic son after their split in 2010.

“I tell (Evan) that someday you’ll cross paths, meet again…(but) it’s hard. He’s been in therapy. It’s a process, he’s working on it.”

Jenny McCarthy is officially off the market!

The 39-year-old Love in the Wild host confirmed rumors dating rumors on Thursday when she stepped out with Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher at the Generation Rescue autism charity. With her footballer beau around her arm, McCarthy told reporters that the two are indeed an item.

“I can confirm that yes it’s true, we are dating,” McCarthy said to NBC Chicago. “Go Bears, that’s all I can say.”

But that’s not all!

On the same night, McCarthy and Urlacher, 34, were also spotted getting cozy during a dinner date at Bill and Giuliana Rancic‘s RPM Italian restaurant in Chicago.

It looks like McCarthy’s taking her own advice that she recently spilled to Celebuzz, who told us that it takes at least a weekend in order to find out if you’re seeing the right guy.

“If you spend a few days with somebody, you really get to see that fake self drop away a little bit,” she said. “That helps me know whether I want to move on or keep going.”

Doting mom McCarthy may have found herself a winner in Urlacher, who already has two daughters and a son from previous relationships. McCarthy is the proud mother of her 10-year-old son, Evan.

Jenny McCarthy is going back to where it all began for her – Playboy magazine. The funny girl is about to turn 40 and announced at the NBC upfronts this week that she’ll be taking it off once again for the infamous publication.

Set to appear on the cover of the July/August Playboy issue, Jenny — who turns 40 in November — will also pose nude for photos that will be included inside the magazine. The Singled Out star told E! News, “All I wanted to do [when I began in the industry] was work with my clothes on, and now I just hope to get them off!”

After taking some time off to care for her ailing son, Evan, Jenny McCarthy will return to television next month to host season 2 of NBC’s reality-competition series Love in the Wild.

For awhile, the 39-year-old personality says she didn’t know if she’d work again, having lost the desire to perform after Evan, now 9, was diagnosed with autism, in 2005.

How bad did it get?

“When I was at my lowest point in my life, when my son was having seizures and cardiac arrest, I really thought I would never be able to go back [to work] and do anything funny,” McCarthy confessed. “When your kid’s sick, it’s over.”

Following her son’s diagnosis, McCarthy became invested and outspoken about the debilitating disease and her son’s subsequent healing, as she put it, all of which was documented in the 2007 book, Louder Than Words: A Mother’s Journey in Healing Autism.

“Once he got better and was happy, then I started to enjoy life again,” said the actor. “People say, ‘Oh my God, you saved your son!’ But he really saved me. He brought a whole new perspective to me on what matters and what doesn’t.”

Season 2 of Love in the Wold premieres June 7 on NBC. On the show, couples compete in physical challenges for a trip around the world, and maybe fall in love along the way. McCarthy — who most recently was in a high-profile relationship with actor Jim Carrey, and is now rumored to be dating football player Brian Urlacher — said she learned a lot about dating from working with the contestants.

Her best tip: take a weekend trip with your new partner.

Although the Super Bowl is all about Eli Manning and Tom Brady, all the ladies in Indianapolis seem more interested Tim Tebow!
