TV’s hottest gardener has replaced his bare-chested lawn work uniform for a plaid cover-up. We’re a little sad Jessie Metcalfe found his shirt — or he would have made it into our Shirtless Celebrity Beefcakes gallery for sure. Next time, Jess!

It’s possible the new wardrobe is helping him get in character, as Deadline.com reports that sessy Jesse is in talks to play Christopher Ewing in the new Dallas series on TNT.

Now all he needs is a cowboy hat to complete the look…

‘Youth in Revolt’ Premiere Brings Intense Stares, Girl-Dog Love to the Red Carpet

Michael Cera, looking like a deranged ax-murderer. Portia Doubleday, French-kissing a dog. Justin Long, acting exceedingly goofy. Yep, it was an interesting night at the Youth In Revolt premiere, held on Wednesday at the Mann Chinese 6 Theatre in Hollywood. (Well, except for the Justin Long part—he’s always acting goofy.)

The comedy, which opens nationwide on Friday, features Cera as a humble, lovelorn teen (which must have been a real stretch for him) who adopts a rebellious alter-ego in an effort to win the heart of Doubleday.

Unfortunately, last night’s red-carpet spectacle is less easily explained. We can only suggest that you click through the photo gallery and attempt to decipher it all for yourself.

Zac and Vanessa Watch the ‘Watchmen’

Holy celebrity sightings, Batman! Cutesy couple Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were on hand for Watchmen‘s U.S. premiere at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood last night.

Efron, with his locks hidden in a knit cap, seems like the kind of lad who would be up for a good superhero movie.

‘Nessa, in a pink ruffled number, might have stuck to her BlackBerry during the screening.

The actioner about two generations of costumed heroes battling a mysterious conspiracy in the 1980s opens this weekend.

On hand for the premiere were stars Carla Gugino and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, as well as Superman himself Brandon Routh, and the always entertaining Jesse Metcalfe.

Director Zack Snyder‘s (300) movie reportedly has a different ending that the famous Alan Moore comic series, according to Wired.

Watch out for marauding fanboys, Zack. They don’t play.

Jesse Metcalfe Fell Down Two Flights of Stairs

Jesse Metcalfe operates just fine without a shirt, but not so much without his feet.

After co-hosting the 2008 World Music Awards in Monaco over the weekend, Metcalfe was seen limping through France’s Nice Airport until a wheelchair was brought to him.

Too bad that metallic bad boy wasn’t motorized; Jesse’s used to having a revved-up hog underneath him.

Get well, Jesse. You’ve had quite the rough year, and deserve a break.

Well, maybe break isn’t exactly the right word…

UPDATED: U.K. paper The Sun reported Tuesday morning that Metcalfe hit his head on some steps after slipping down two flights of stairs at a WMAs after party.

While he didn’t suffer any broken bones, the actor is currently in London awaiting results of an MRI scan after some concern he could have brain damage.

Says his spokesperson, “Midway through the aftershow party at Jimmy’z on Sunday night he headed back to his hotel to change out of his suit so he could be more comfortable. On his way back he slipped 40 ft and was knocked unconscious. He was immediately taken to a hospital in Monaco and given X-rays. Doctors didn’t speak much English so as soon as we landed in London yesterday we had him re-examined at a London hospital.”

OK! Magazine has compiled a list, in which they select their “Top 50 Man Candy of the Year.” Topping their list is David Beckham, who is equally as famous for his success as an athlete as he is for displaying his well-toned physique both on and off the soccer field. Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps came in at number five. Athletes, whose impressive bodies are simply a by-product of their day jobs, reside in two spots on the list. Lucky bastards.

Dancing with the Stars made an impressive showing in the OK! rankings, with spot number two given to DWTS coach Maksim Chmerkovskiy and the tenth place reserved for former contestant Mario Lopez.

This list clearly demonstrates that OK! continues to be the most scientific of the tabloid publications, exclamation mark be damned.
