Jesse Metcalfe is moving on up — in the real estate world, that is.

The Dallas star — who’s been engaged to actress Cara Santana for over a year – certainly looks to be ready to settle down, recently purchasing a luxurious Spanish-style house in the Hollywood Hills for $1,432,500, according to property records.

Originally built in 1925, the beautifully restored mansion measures 2,362 square feet and boasts five bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms.

The home also boasts a newly-redone kitchen, grand fireplace in the living room, city views and a spacious courtyard.

The master bedroom is attached to a new custom bathroom for the lovebirds to share, while hardwood floors run throughout the home.

Say goodbye to Rebecca Sutter Ewing, and hello to Pamela Barnes 2.0!

On the Season 1 cliffhanger for TNT’s smash hit continuation of Dallas, viewers learned the seemingly-innocent new bride (Julie Gonzalo) of Ewing heir Christopher (Jesse Metcalfe) is really the namesake niece of his adoptive mother Pamela Barnes Ewing (Victoria Principal) — not to mention the daughter of Ewing Enemy No. 1 Cliff Barnes (Ken Kerchival).

Looks like the decades-old Ewing/Barnes feud is about to spill over like barrels of hot crude into a sexy, new generation.

But first, the series has to deal with the loss of its patriarch — both on and off screen — of Larry Hagman. He lost his battle to throat cancer in November. The series producers revealed to TV Guide magazine that Hagman will appear in at least five episodes on Season 2. And that they will bring back the classic storyline from the original series, “Who shot J.R.?”

“We all felt having J.R. die of natural causes would have been completely inappropriate, not only to the character, but also to Larry Hagman,” executive producer Cynthia Cidre told the magazine.

So, what else can fans expect when Dallas returns? Stars Metcalfe, Gonzalo, Jordana Brewster and Josh Henderson recently told reporters about the new mysteries and scandals set to launch with a two-hour premiere on Monday.

Here’s four more things to expect from season 2.

1. Pamela’s out for revenge against Christopher for breaking her heart. We know Pamela was no doe-eyed victim when she married Chris, but the young lady does have feelings and is upset her husband’s love lies with his childhood friend Elena.

“I really do think she fell in love with Christopher in the first season. She’s hurt, she definitely is hurt with the fact that Christopher would have never loved her as much as he does Elena. And I think that this season you do find a lot of that, but you can see the torn side of that. You see that she’s torn with doing what she needs to do for herself and doing what she needs to do for her father. And I get to play a lot of that this year, which is really fun for me. I think that there is a little bit of everything when it comes to wanting to get back at them. It’s not always going to be the case, I have to add that,” Gonzalo remarked about her character.

2. J.R. (Larry Hagman)’s death rocks John Ross and sends him on an emotional spiral. Despite the father and son’s butting heads in their turbulent partnership to seize control of Ewing Energies, John Ross is devastated when J.R. dies.

“He is very, very lost. He’s unprepared with JR’s early exit. It’s something that is just painful for him and he was not expecting this and it’s going to cost some unbelievable emotions and actions to come out of John Ross,” Henderson revealed.

3. Sue Ellen (Linda Gray) has Elena in her crosshairs for dumping John Ross. Don’t expect the gubernatorial candidate and former Miss Texas to be so forgiving in business and personal life to Ms. Ramos for ditching her son for her nephew, Christopher.

“Sue Ellen is very territorial and she is definitely a mama bear. And she puts John Ross first.,” Brewster remarked. “So it definitely – the relationship between Sue Ellen and Elena definitely changes.”

4. Look for a cutthroat Christopher to come forward. Last season, Christopher tried his best to things the right and honest way, just like his father Bobby (Patrick Duffy). On Season 2, Christopher decides to get a bit down and dirty to survive the oil game.

“He definitely starts to consider compromising his ethics. He certainly and ultimately dances on the dark side a little bit, he’s really forced to in order to compete with everyone around him being so manipulative. You’re definitely going to see a darker side of Christopher come mid-season,” Metcalfe stated.

Season 2 of Dallas premieres Monday at 9PM on TNT.

Things certainly get heated on TNT’s Dallas between Ewing cousins John Ross (Josh Henderson) and Christopher (Jesse Metcalfe), but reports of a rivalry between the actors who play them are simply false if you ask Metcalfe.

“In the writing, there’s rivalry. Beyond that, no,” Metcalfe tells Celebuzz at the Environmental Media Awards over the weekend in Los Angeles.

“We’re a really tight knit family,” the actor added.

With that rumor put to bed, what did the actor tell us about the TNT series’ second season?

The cable network announced on Tuesday that Dallas will return for its second season on Jan. 28. And Metcalfe gave us an idea of what to expect. “A lot more twists and turns, a lot more cliffhangers, a lot more great writing,” the 33-year-old teases.

“That’s a testament to [showrunner] Cynthia Cidre and her talented team of writers,” he continues. “There’s some new characters, as well. We’re introducing some new characters, some unexpected deaths, so people have to tune in. There’s a lot coming on Season 2.”

At the EMAs, which celebrate the entertainment industry’s creative environmental efforts, Metcalfe seemed especially proud of the show’s green efforts.

“It’s an incredibly green set, thanks to our local producer Ken Topolsky,” he explains. “He keeps us very green. I would say that we’re a fully sustainable set, really.”

As for his own personal green grade, Metcalfe would say he could use some improvement on the subject. Though, we would say he’s doing a great job.

“I think I have a ways to go. I have more to learn,” the actor, who brought his fiancé Cara Santana to the event, says of his own environmental efforts.

“We recycle. We’re really about conservation. We don’t run the water. We don’t keep the lights on longer than we have to,” he explains. “We use reusable bags when we go to the grocery store. But, I really feel like that’s only scratching the surface and I’m hoping to learn more here tonight.”

It’s hot — and we mean hot — in Southfork.

Despite being off the air for more than two decades, last week’s Dallas reboot proved that there’s still plenty of unresolved drama between the Ewing clan — and in the process the hit TNT drama became 2012′s highest cable premiere so far.

What is making the redux so popular? Celebuzz went one-on-one with star Josh Henderson and we couldn’t help but ask about those sex scenes.

Celebuzz: Congratulations on the biggest cable premiere of 2012 so far.
Josh Henderson: We are very, very excited. So far it seems people are really enjoying it and it seems really positive. I had a big fun premiere party at my house and now I’m kind of on round two of getting out there and keeping people excited about the show.

CB: Everyone here in the office is so excited about it, especially the girls.
JH: Good! That’s what we want to hear.

CB: Since you aren’t in production anymore, have you kept in touch with the cast post-premiere? What is the general vibe with the Dallas cast right now?
JH: There’s been a circle of emails going around from TNT, Turner and from Warner Brothers to the cast sojust saying ‘congrats’ and ‘we’re so excited the world is falling in love with Dallas again.’ It’s been kind of an exciting time. It’s been a long time coming. I’ve been attached to this show for about a year and a half. It’s been a while and I’m glad and hope that people will continue to tune in. We did really well.

CB: A year and a half is a long time to sit around and get nervous– did you have any doubts that it wouldn’t be a hit?
I was very confident in the show because I had seen a lot of the episodes, and I had seen and sat in screenings with people all over the country and they didn’t even know I was there! It was funny because I got to actually see genuine reactions from people to the show. It’s been very good and I just hope that we can continue the progress.

CB: Lets take it back to the audition process. Did you gun for this role right from the beginning?
JH: When I heard that the show was coming back, I just felt this weird connection. I remember calling my agent and saying I really feel right for this, and I have to audition for JR’s son. So, I went in one day and I remember sitting across from another guy auditioning and he had a cowboy hat on and I thought, “uh okay?” And I went in, and I did my audition and I felt really good about it, to the point where I went back to my car and I shut the door and I screamed. Cause it just felt right!

I got a call a half hour later that they were going to test me for John Ross. I called my mom and we were freaking out and I said to my mom, by the way I’m still auditioning, I don’t have it yet, so don’t go Facebook crazy. I finally got the call from Michael Wright, one of the big wigs at TNT, and he called and asked for John Ross, and I was like hello? So that’s how I found out I had gotten the role.

CB: I know that you have a lot of friends in this industry. Did you know anyone else you were going up against? Is that weird?
JH: I know that Jesse [Metcalfe] had originally read for John Ross as well. And then he had to Skype his audition in because he was doing another show. I know that they saw everyone and that a ton of people auditioned. But I know when I was there, it was a very quiet day, and it was just me and this mystery cowboy guy!

CB: I know you guys like to keep plot lines very “hush hush.” What kind of spoilers can you give us?
What’s good about this show is that it keeps you guessing. There will be a lot of twists and turns. The writers did such a good job because there isn’t just one cliffhanger per episode, it’s like there’s cliffhangers during the commercial breaks. It’s like once you think you’ve figured it out, it totally spins you and it continues to do that through the entire season. When it comes to actual stuff, of course I can’t tell you exactly what happens.

CB: We just talked to your co-star, Leonor Varela who said that she was the one who dreamt up the racy sex scene between you two out of her “twisted imagination.”
JH: I think so! It’s a fun story line for John Ross’ character as well because he has is people that he wheels and deals with. He kind of uses everyone around him as chess pieces. His goal is to stay one step ahead of whether it’s JR or Christopher. One of his main players in season one is definitely Marta. So, it’s a really fun story line and she plays such a great, twisted, torn… Her character is a lot of fun and you’re going to see a lot of fun stuff happen between us. And it only gets crazier and weirder as it goes on.

CB: Do you ever get nervous before sex scenes?
JH: No, at the end of the day, those are the scenes that you just kind of have to go there, and take yourself out of everything real and just go for it. So, we had a lot of fun together. We got to do some fun things.

CB: The rivalry between John Ross and Jesse’s character is so believable. Did you guys know each other before this?
JH: Ya, I’ve known Jesse for about ten years, since around 2002. We used to play on a charity basketball team together. He and I go way back. It’s funny how we were on the same show [Desperate Housewives] for a bit but we never had scenes together. And now, here we are.

We definitely use our comfort level with each other to be able to take our scenes deeper, and make them more real. Knowing each other helps because at the end of the day, if you are comfortable with the person you are working with and there are no walls up, you can just kind of let everything go and really go at it. So it really works for this intense kind of….like with what’s going on in the story, it helps that him and I are really close.

CB: Coming on a show with so many veterans, what was the most rewarding part and what was the most nerve-wracking part?
JH: Well, rewarding in the sense that I don’t think you can do Dallas without them. They legitimize our show, they are what the original fans want to come back and see. It’s a blessing for us to be able to have them. I was a little intimidated and a little nervous. This show was such a big deal to people all over the world. I call them the legendary three; Larry, Linda and Patrick. They are what creating this monster that is Dallas.

We definitely wanted to come in as the young generation and have them kind of accept us, and hopefully they are happy to what we brought to the table. But at the end of the day, they are all such amazing people and so genuinely nice. Actually none of us felt we were being judged, they just accepted us with open arms. Like I was talking about with Jesse, whether it was scenes with me and Larry or me and Linda, it kind of made me comfortable. I wasn’t being judged, I could just kind of do what I do for John Ross and it really seamlessly worked. And it kind of felt real.

When I have scenes with Linda, I really feel like I’m dealing with my mother. Same with Larry, he’s so intense and his just a magnetic ball of energy as JR and it really feels real and it works. So far, I think the response from the audience has been that the story line is believable and they really believe I can be JR’s son. For me, it’s great to hear.

Hottie — er — TV Tune-in alert!

The buzz-worthy reboot of Dallas premieres on TNT Wednesday night, and though plenty of viewers are tuning in for the series drama, it’s a safe bet some might be watching purely for the eye candy.

The original iconic series of the same name ran from 1978 to 1991 and the show picks up with the next generation of the Ewings, a wealthy Texas family in the oil and cattle-ranching industries. Leading the pack is former Desperate Housewives‘ actors Jesse Metcalfe and Josh Henderson, who play dueling cousins Christopher Ewing and John Ross Ewing III, respectively.

Though it’s a brand-new take on the primetime soap opera, there’s still some familiar faces returning for fans of the popular original series.

Larry Hagman will reprise his role of cutthroat oil tycoon and family patriarch J.R. Ewing, and Patrick Duffy returns as J.R.’s brother Bobby. Will the sibling rivalry continue for their characters on the reboot? Oh you bet it does!

The new Dallas generation will pick up with their respective daddies left off, with J.R.’s son John Ross (Henderson) battling it out with Bobby’s son (Metcalfe).

The creators of the TNT show didn’t have to look far in terms of casting, as four different actors who star in Dallas, were featured at one point or another during Desperate Housewives‘ eight season run. Southfork meets Wisteria Lane!

Most memorably, Metcalfe played John Rowland, a teenage gardner who had an scandalous affair with Eva Longoria‘s character, Gaby. He also returned during the sixth season where they shortly rekindled their romance, before Gaby reunited with husband Carlos.

Like Metcalfe, Henderson starred as Austin McCann in the show’s third season. Not only was he the nephew of the neighbor’s troublemaker Edie Britt (Nicolette Sheridan) but he managed to date the daughter of Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher), and impregnate Bree’s (Marcia Cross) teenage daughter.

Brenda Strong, who played the show’s deceased narrator Mary Alice Young, also stars as Bobby Ewing’s new wife, and Hagman (J.R. Ewing) guest-starred in a multi-episode arc starred as the boyfriend of Lynette Scavo’s (Felicity Huffman) mother.

Everything’s bigger in Texas — and Dallas‘ big kick off event was no exception!

On Monday, the new cast of TNT’s Dallas reboot celebrated the series’ big return by debuting a five-acre art installation of the show’s iconic character J.R. Ewing (Larry Hagman) and brother Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy) made entirely out of mulch, rocks, and prairie hay. The piece can be seen by JetBlue planes traveling from Dallas to Boston.

The series’ newcomers — sexy Jesse Metcalfe, Josh Henderson and Jordana Brewster — were also in attendance for the unveiling. Metcalfe and Henderson play the second generation Ewing boys, whom the show centers around. Jesse portrays Patrick Duffy’s son “Christopher Ewing,” while Henderson plays Hagman’s son “John Ross Ewing.”

What did the young cast think of this over-the-top tribute?

“We’re lucky because I’ve never had anything like this before,” Henderson, 30, said.

“It’s incredibly exciting,” his costar Metcalfe, 33, added about working with the series’ original cast members Larry Hagman and Linda Gray. “It’s really just a happy accident that Josh and I are on the show together.”

Michael Cera, looking like a deranged ax-murderer. Portia Doubleday, French-kissing a dog. Justin Long, acting exceedingly goofy. Yep, it was an interesting night at the Youth In Revolt premiere, held on Wednesday at the Mann Chinese 6 Theatre in Hollywood. (Well, except for the Justin Long part—he’s always acting goofy.)

The comedy, which opens nationwide on Friday, features Cera as a humble, lovelorn teen (which must have been a real stretch for him) who adopts a rebellious alter-ego in an effort to win the heart of Doubleday.

Holy celebrity sightings, Batman! Cutesy couple Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were on hand for Watchmen‘s U.S. premiere at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood last night.

Efron, with his locks hidden in a knit cap, seems like the kind of lad who would be up for a good superhero movie.

‘Nessa, in a pink ruffled number, might have stuck to her BlackBerry during the screening.

The actioner about two generations of costumed heroes battling a mysterious conspiracy in the 1980s opens this weekend.

On hand for the premiere were stars Carla Gugino and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, as well as Superman himself Brandon Routh, and the always entertaining Jesse Metcalfe.

Director Zack Snyder‘s (300) movie reportedly has a different ending that the famous Alan Moore comic series, according to Wired.

Watch out for marauding fanboys, Zack. They don’t play.

Jesse Metcalfe operates just fine without a shirt, but not so much without his feet.

After co-hosting the 2008 World Music Awards in Monaco over the weekend, Metcalfe was seen limping through France’s Nice Airport until a wheelchair was brought to him.

Too bad that metallic bad boy wasn’t motorized; Jesse’s used to having a revved-up hog underneath him.

Get well, Jesse. You’ve had quite the rough year, and deserve a break.

UPDATED: U.K. paper The Sun reported Tuesday morning that Metcalfe hit his head on some steps after slipping down two flights of stairs at a WMAs after party.

While he didn’t suffer any broken bones, the actor is currently in London awaiting results of an MRI scan after some concern he could have brain damage.

Says his spokesperson, “Midway through the aftershow party at Jimmy’z on Sunday night he headed back to his hotel to change out of his suit so he could be more comfortable. On his way back he slipped 40 ft and was knocked unconscious. He was immediately taken to a hospital in Monaco and given X-rays. Doctors didn’t speak much English so as soon as we landed in London yesterday we had him re-examined at a London hospital.”

OK! Magazine has compiled a list, in which they select their “Top 50 Man Candy of the Year.” Topping their list is David Beckham, who is equally as famous for his success as an athlete as he is for displaying his well-toned physique both on and off the soccer field. Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps came in at number five. Athletes, whose impressive bodies are simply a by-product of their day jobs, reside in two spots on the list. Lucky bastards.

Dancing with the Stars made an impressive showing in the OK! rankings, with spot number two given to DWTS coach Maksim Chmerkovskiy and the tenth place reserved for former contestant Mario Lopez.

This list clearly demonstrates that OK! continues to be the most scientific of the tabloid publications, exclamation mark be damned.
