The latest film to debut at the festival is the Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster‘s drama, The Beaver. The film, Mel’s first since his infamous rants from last summer, is about a depressed father and husband who uses the aid of a stuffed animal beaver to deal with his issues.

Those two weren’t the only stars at the event.

Model Bar Refaeli also made an appearance and looked stunning in a long sleeved, blue gown. Bar has been enjoying the single life since splitting with her longtime boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio. Check out some of Bar’s hottest bikini moments below!

Why? It isn’t because Kristen isn’t talented but Jodie just never expected Hollywood to embrace such a non-mainstream individual.

“She’s a great person, and I’m not surprised she’s gone on to to do great things,” Jodie told E! Online’s Marc Malkin, “But I am surprised she is an actress … Even though her mom said, ‘No, she really really wants to be an actress,’ I felt like, Nah, she won’t because she really doesn’t have the stereotypical personality.”

Jodie first met Kristen on the set of the 2002 thriller, Panic Room. Watch the trailer below.

Kristen has taken shots for awkward interviews and not living the typical Young Hollywood in-the-spotlight lifestyle. KStew talked to London’s Telegraph about the issue in September:

I am quite shy and people think I’m aloof. I get that all the time: ‘She should not be in this position because she can’t handle it,’ and, ‘She is stuck up and doesn’t want to talk to anybody. She is miserable, and if you are so miserable stop doing it.’ But do you have a choice? I want to be an actor, I am just not very comfortable talking about myself.

While Kristen may not have “a stereotypical personality,” many fans have embraced her for her non-traditional attitude towards Hollywood.

RadarOnline reports that there’s “no chance” of DiCaprio going through with the role now that Gibson’s personal conflicts with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva have put Mel’s career in jeopardy. According to the DiCaprio source,

“Leo has earned the right to pick and choose who he works with and Mel Gibson is not one of them.”

In December 2009, Variety announced that DiCaprio would be the leading man in the untitled viking movie, and that Leo has long been fascinated with the viking culture.

Thanks to the rash of leaked tapes allegedly showing Gibson in a rage, the Leo viking flick isn’t the only one of Mel’s movies that has been put in limbo. His movie The Beaver, in which Mel shares the screen with Jodie Foster (who also directed the film), has many wondering if and how it will ever get released following Mel’s recent woes. However, just this week it was given a PG-13 rating, perhaps a sign that Summit studio still plans on unleashing The Beaver sometime this year.

According to a police report obtained by RadarOnline, the incident took place on May 29 between 1:50 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.. The Brave One actress allegedly saw the 17-year-old fan taking a picture of her as she was out shopping with her family and confronted him by grabbing his arm and causing “visible injury.”

According to the teen’s parents, the young man spotted Jodie out and decided to take a picture of her because he was a fan. Unfortunately, Jodie was having none of it and she decided to hunt the teen down and yell at him, “Do you even have a mother you slime ball?”

The teen’s parents report that their son apologized profusely and did nothing to escalate the argument, but Jodie grabbed his arm, scratched and bruised him.

The 47-year-old actress is notorious for leading an extremely private life. After the incident, the victim said that Jodie’s sons, ages 11 and 8, came up to the victim and apologized for their mother’s behavior.

Personally, we wouldn’t want to mess with Jodie, she was pretty convincing as a scary pissed off woman in the Brave One.

The starlet and unhappy press tour traveler, 18, was photographed on a boat in these exclusive pictures from Meet The Famous, sporting a white bikini decorated with the universal symbol for marijuana leaves, as evidenced by photos published on the Web site Egotastic.

This is the second time the actress has been photographed (unintentionally or not) supporting the weed.

Earlier in the fall, right before the release of Twilight, a photo surfaced of Stewart sitting on a front stoop of a building and lighting up what looked like a pot pipe.

Stewart’s rep did not return calls to elaborate on this latest photo.

Jodie will be providing the voice of a future Maggie Simpson in an episode called “Four Great Women & a Manicure.”

It will be a spoof of Macbeth, Ayn Rand‘s The Fountainhead, Citizen Kane, and Queen Elizabeth I.

Foster, known for her fierce intelligence, should fit in just fine.

Anne Hathaway will be portraying a Good Samaritan-type little girl that Bart falls in love with.

If this were more true to life, Foster would be playing a closeted actress who leaves her partner of 16 years for some hussy movie producer. And Anne would portray an FBI informant gaining vengeance on her user boyfriend.

Before pairing up with Jodie, Mort was engaged in a long-term relationship with thirtysomething actress Melanie Mayron. The couple reportedly remain friends even after their split, sharing two children and living down the street from one another.

As for Foster and Bernard, they are still living in the same house, however the “love is gone,” according to a tipster. Both plan to move into separate homes.

The source added, “They’ll continue to raise the boys together and try to keep a loving family unit despite their breakup.”

No word on when Anne Heche will craftily find a way to inject herself into the situation.

Rumors are swirling that the once fiercely private Foster and Cydney Bernard have called it quits, and lesbos everywhere are tearing up, vividly recalling the day they heard Melissa Etheridge and Julie Cypher had gone down the tubes.

No word on the reason for the split, yet the two, who met on the set of the film Sommersby, parent Charles, 9, and Kit, 6. Neither has ever divulged the boys’ dad or addressed rumors that it was a college gay-guy friend of Jodie.

Oddly, the dish is served on the very same day as the California State Supreme Court overturned the gay marriage ban. But even without the stamp of approval from the state, these two are dug in big time, and untying the knot could prove messy. A source told the National Enquirer it’s “shocking. She and Cydney have been together for so many years and have two children…the potential fallout and legal wrangling from this split could be monumental.”
