Joe Jackson is in the hospital after recovering from a mild stroke, PEOPLE reports.

Michael Jackson’s father felt ill around 10 PM on Wednesday when “he was sitting down and found that he couldn’t stand up,” a source says.

The source added that “he found himself without balance and falling into the walls.”

A friend received a call from the worried 84-year-old, who was complaining of tightness in his head, and rushed him to the hospital.

Jackson is now being treated at University Center in Las Vegas where he will likely be released on Friday.

His wife Katherine is currently by his side and a few of his children are already on their way to lend their support to the Jackson patriarch.

Joe Jackson has allegedly found a stripper who claims Dr. Conrad Murray was at the strip club where she works and was drinking in the hours preceding Michael Jackson’s death.

The stripper also alleges that, weeks before the pop star’s death, Murray invited her back to MJ’s place in Holmby Hills after the club closed one night, and Michael was already asleep.

As previously reported, Joe intends to sue Murray for wrongful death on the grounds that the doctor was drinking at a strip club only hours before he administered a lethal dose of propofol to Michael.

Joe Jackson plans to sue Dr. Conrad Murray for wrongful death on the anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death.

In a legal document sent to Murray, Joe claims the doctor got drunk at a strip club hours before administering a lethal dose of Propofol to the king of pop.

It was reckless for him to ‘drink’ prior to administering anesthesia to Michael Jackson. He concealed his conduct from Michael Jackson.

The document goes on to detail how Murray pumped Michael with a cocktail of drugs that caused ‘impaired memory, loss of appetite, and absence of energy’, and that Murray ‘ignored the signs of Michael Jackson’s pulmonary inflammation, brain swelling, and anemia’.

Worst of all, Joe believes the doctor repeatedly lied about the drugs he’d given Michael to the EMTs who attempted to save the pop star’s life.

Murray’s legal team dismissed the allegations as ‘absolute, utter nonsense’, and those close to him insist he doesn’t drink.

Michael Jackson‘s former doctor, Conrad Murray, has prepared a legal defense that claims that Michael killed himself.

Murray has been charged with involuntary manslaughter for the death of Michael but Murray claims that he didn’t give Michael the fatal dose of Propofol that led to the singer’s death. Murray claims that Michael woke up from a Propofol-induced sleep and given himself another dose of the drug, causing him to overdose and eventually die.

Murray reports that all of this took place when he stepped out of the room to use the bathroom. Oh, the old “I was in the bathroom” excuse! That’s an airtight defense. From TMZ:

At around noon, Dr. Murray left the room for approximately two minutes to go to the bathroom. While he was gone, the defense believes Jackson suddenly awakened and was frustrated he had spent nearly 9 hours trying in vain to sleep. The defense theory — Jackson took the 20 ml bottle of Propofol and self-injected the remaining contents through the IV, causing a massive overdose that stopped his heart.

Dr. Murray walked back in the room and saw Jackson with his eyes open and pupils dilated. Dr. Murray dropped the phone (he was speaking with his girlfriend) and began administering CPR.

Naturally, Michael’s father, Joe Jackson denies Murray’s excuse and says that the story is “not true” and that it “really upsets [him] to hear” that Murray believes Michael accidently killed himself.

Even if there is truth to Murray’s claim that Michael injected himself with the fatal dose, it doesn’t really hide the fact that Murray was on hand to cater to Michael’s addiction and administer drugs whenever the singer requested them.

It’s long been known that Michael Jackson‘s family life was complicated. But interview tapes newly unearthed by News of the World reveal just how mixed his emotions toward his siblings and parents were.

On the tapes, which were recorded at his former estate Neverland Ranch, the deceased King of Pop—who died in June at age 50—lashes out at nearly every member of his family.

On his brothers in the Jackson 5:

“The brothers didn’t give me support. We’d be working on a TV show or video and they’d be sitting around moaning and groaning but I’d be watching and learning…It takes a talent, but some people are lazy and don’t want to develop anything.”

On Marlon:

“People used to call him ugly and make fun of him— and people would say, ‘Which brother is that one?’ He constantly imitates me on stage. Whatever I do he’ll do right after me. I hate when that happens because he looks too ‘doo woppy’ and so old-fashioned.”

On mother Katherine:

“She disappointed me. She did an interview (about him). I don’t like her to talk. It’s none of those people’s business.” (Jackson also revealed that his mother never wanted daughters: “She wished she would have had all boys. She told my sisters that—and they agreed! That’s how my sisters are—they are prejudiced against other girls.”)

On sister La Toya:

“To me she is Mrs. Nice and Nasty. I come in her room (and she says), ‘You can’t sit on her couch, sit on the bed or walk on the carpet.’ She wants to keep everything fresh…If you cough at the table she covers her plate. If you sneeze forget it, she’s in another room. If you clear your throat, you can’t do that while she is eating.”

On father Joe:

“I would suffer if I had to spend a whole day with him…He would sit in a chair with a belt or a switch and we’d do our performance. And if we messed up he hit you…To tell you the truth, I never have felt close to him. He has always been like a mystery man.”

Gabby Babble reports that Michael Jackson‘s father—whose own public image is problematic at best—has added his voice to the chorus of disapproval that has greeted West since his full-frontal assault on Taylor Swift‘s VMAs acceptance speech.

Jackson recalled of the evening’s events,

“I had just gotten through speaking to [West], he was introducing me to his girlfriend (Amber Rose) and then three minutes later he jumped up on stage. And people booed Kanye all night. I don’t know what he was doing, he jumped up on stage and snatched that microphone out of that poor girl’s hand.”

At which point Jackson added,

“They should blackball him out of showbusiness for that. He just leapt (sic) up there; that was bad.”

Wow; wise words from an unlikely source. But then, even a blind pig finds an acorn sometimes.

Joe Jackson might want to start scanning the “Roommates Wanted” section of Craigslist.

Showbiz 411 reports that the child-custody agreement forged between deceased King of Pop Michael Jackson‘s ex-wife Debbie Rowe and Jackson’s mother Katherine has a non-negotiable clause that Jackson’s father Joe must move out of the family home in Encino, California.

As was reported last week, Katherine will be receiving custody of Jackson’s three children, Prince Michael, Paris, and Prince Michael II (aka Blanket). Earlier reports indicated that Jackson and Rowe were working together to prevent Joe from having contact with any of the children.

Looks like Joe will have to find another group of kids to mold into the next singing sensation.

Joe Jackson is denying beating his son Michael Jackson in a bizzare, new interview with Larry King.

When asked about the multiple reports that have surfaced over the years that he physically abused his son, Joe look astonished. “That’s a buncha bull-s,” he said, adding “I wish I could say the s-word… I never did.”

He also said that he “made no mistakes” and that “Michael was raised properly” because “he didn’t run the streets like other kids in the neighborhoods.”

Michael has repeatedly told the press about his difficult childhood, in which he was repeatedly beaten by his father. In his autobiography Moonwalk, he wrote: “He would beat you… he would hit me so hard.”

In the interview, Joe also talked about slavery. Yeah, we have no idea either.

Janet Jackson may end up raising Michael Jackson‘s three children, Prince, Paris and Blanket.

A Jackson family friend spilled to OK!, “All three want Janet to read to them at night. They just melt into her arms when she walks into the house.”

And Janet isn’t about to let the kids go either. “Janet has completely bonded with those children in the last two weeks,” the friend said. “She has been their rock. It’s clear to everyone that they are looking to her for comfort and guidance.”

Although Michael named his mother Katherine as the children’s guardian in his last will, many are concerned that the 79-year-old can’t handle raising three young children. She has temporary guardianship until the next court date on August 3.

The source says that Janet thinks she can provide the best environment for the kids.

“Janet is not only willing to raise those children, she is also the only relative who knows how to protect them. Janet knows the value of a private life and knows how to keep her personal life out of the news. She is determined to do that for Michael’s children. She is saying that he would want no less for them, pointing out how far he went to shelter them.”

High-profile custody cases sure make for strange bedfellows. 

British newspaper the Sunday Mirror reports that Debbie Rowe, mother to two of deceased music legend Michael Jackson‘s children, and Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mother and current custodian to the kids, have banded together to prevent Jacko’s father Joe Jackson from having contact with the tots. 

Joe Jackson, who Michael had publicly accused of being an abusive parent in the past, recently announced his desire to keep the kids with himself and Katherine, even hinting at future music careers for the tots.

But according to the paper, Rowe and Katherine Jackson have forged a deal: Rowe will not pursue custody of the children—Prince Michael I, Paris, and Prince Michael II, aka “Blanket“—as long as Katherine promises to keep Joe from having any say over how the kids are raised.

“The last thing [Rowe] wanted was for those kids to be looked after by Joe and go through what Michael went through,” says a source. “When [Rowe and Jackson] were [married], Michael poured out his heart about how much he loathed Joe for what he had done.”

This could get messy…

Joe Jackson really doesn’t want to hand over Michael Jackson‘s kids to Debbie Rowe.

On ABC’s Good Morning America, he declared that he wishes that Michael’s three children remain with him and wife Katherine, saying “There’s no one else to do what we can do for them.”

“We should keep them all together and make them happy,” he went on. “And feed them like they’re supposed to be fed. And let them get rest … and grow up to be strong Jacksons.”

Of course, he has big plans for his grandkids. “I keep watching Paris. She wants to do something.”

What about the other kids? He revealed that Michael Prince II (Blanket) “can really dance.” He went on, “that’s what they’re saying. He can really dance.”

For now, Katherine remains the children’s temporary legal guardian until a hearing on July 13.

The Michael Jackson memorial service was an emotional journey for all who watched. From seeing Michael’s three children up on stage, to Brooke Shields‘ tearful speech, there was hardly a dry eye in the building.

In typical Jackson family fashion, they just can’t agree on the proper way to bury Michael Jackson.

Business manager Dr. Tohme Tohme revealed that Jackson’s father Joe and brothers hoped to create a shrine for Michael at the Neverland Ranch. However, his mother Katherine and sisters vetoed the idea.

“The family is fiercely divided,” a friend spilled. “You’ve got the brothers on one hand, who all want to perform and turn the funeral into a showbiz extravaganza, and then you have Katherine on the other side who is a deeply religious woman and is determined that this won’t descend into a circus.”

Long-term manager Frank DiLeo told a source, “She is the one who is pushing for a spiritual element to the funeral. If the brothers had their way, it would be the Jackson Five’s greatest performance. Or rather, the Jackson Four’s greatest performance.”

Michael’s brothers also brought up the idea of an open coffin funeral similar to that of James Brown, and for the star to be driven through the streets in a procession. They also ordered the extremely rare and expensive gold-plated, blue-velvet-lined “Prometheus”-style coffin used at Brown’s funeral.

Katherine has made the final decision and overruled them, however, in an effort to protect Michael’s three children, of whom she has temporary legal guardianship.

Jackson’s public memorial will take place tomorrow at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where Jackson’s body will be placed in a closed coffin on a raised plinth, with stars like Jennifer Hudson and Mariah Carey expected to perform.

New details about the 2002 will drafted by deceased music legend Michael Jackson are beginning to emerge, People magazine reports.

In the document (view it here), which Jackson’s family has obtained and is currently reviewing, Jackson leaves all of his assets to the Michael Jackson Family Trust. Contrary to earlier reports, the will does not specifically exclude Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson. Nor does it list any particular charities as beneficiaries.

The will does, however, name Jackson’s mother, Katherine, as guardian to his three children, Prince, Paris and Blanket. Last week, Katherine, 79, was granted temporary guardianship of the children in court.

In the event that Katherine is unable to serve as guardian, the will nominates singer Diana Ross as an alternate guardian to the kids.

How all of this will shake out financially remains to be seen.  According to a source, “There are no numbers in the will. The assets are going into the family trust.” Confidentiality issues prevent the beneficiaries of the Family Trust from being named.

Attorney John Branca and music executive John McClain are named as executors of the will.

Sounds like Michael Jackson is giving his dad the royal screw-job from beyond the grave.

The Wall Street Journal reports that a will that the singer drafted in 2002—believed to be the most recent will for the singer, who died last Thursday at the age of 50—”isn’t believed” to include his father, Joe Jackson.

Instead, the will is said to divide Jackson’s estate between his mother Katherine, his three children, and one or more charities.

Though Jackson had financial troubles in recent years—and died with approximately $500 million in debt—it’s estimated that his assets exceed his debt by as much as $200 million, and the massive sales of Jackson’s music since his passing is likely to increase that amount. 

L. Londell McMillan, a lawyer for Jackson’s parents, tells the newspaper, “No will has been presented to family or us. We will review any will when we see it.”

No doubt that there’ll be some contesting to do if Joe Jackson was, indeed, left out of the document!

As expected, music legend Michael Jackson—who died on Thursday after suffering cardiac arrest at the age of 50—was honored big-time at the BET Awards on Sunday night.

During a tribute that included Jamie Foxx and Ne-Yo performing the Jackson 5′s 1970 hit “I’ll Be There,” Jackson sister, Janet Jackson, offered an emotional remembrance of her brother.

“To you, Michael is an icon. To us, Michael is family, and he will forever live in all of our hearts,” Jackson noted as she choked back tears. “On behalf of my family and myself, thank you for all of your love. Thank you for all of your support, we miss him so much.”
