Soul singer Joss Stone gave the audience a lively treat at the Third Annual One Young World Summit in Pittsburgh over the weekend when she answered questions and then performed one of her most meaningful songs.

“I’m much better at putting how I feel into lyrics,” she told the crowd during the event’s opening ceremony, which included 1,300 delegates between ages 19-24 from more than 180 countries.

“This next one, I like to sing it at the end of everything I do, really,” she tells the crowd. “Because, we all make mistakes and this one is called ‘(Got) A Right To Be Wrong.’ That we do. So, you know it’s better to try something and get it wrong and not try.”

Alongside Stone at the opening ceremony was Former President Bill Clinton and model Natalia Vodianova.

Formed in 2009, the One Young World charity brings together young people from all over the world every year to work together and form ideas for positive change.

Who would’ve ever thought Joss Stone would be a target for an alleged robbery-murder plot?

The British songstress — who received a Grammy award and four other Grammy nominations for her sultry song style — was reportedly the intended victim of such a crime back in June. Two men were arrested outside her home in England for plotting to rob and murder her. This came shortly after a report that Stone was one of the wealthiest female musicians in Great Britain.

Now Stone is opening up about the incident, telling CNN:

“I know, man — that almost got me killed! S**t like that gets people killed! I am not the wealthiest woman in England!”

She was seemingly calm and collected about the whole issue, adding:

“I never really got into it. I’ve been in this industry for 10 years, and so many weird things happen. So another weird thing is just another weird thing. It’s a little bit like sitting in a movie.”

The free-spirited singer-songwriter is getting along just fine. After being a special guest at the highly-anticipated Royal Wedding, she released her fifth studio album entitled LP1. If her Grammy win and nominations indicate anything, it’s that this gal will be around for quite a while.

Songbird Joss Stone makes her debut as Anne of Cleves on The Tudors on Sunday, but you don’t have to wait until then to catch a sneak preview:

Stone tells People magazine that playing King Henry VIII‘s fourth wife did present some challenges.

“[T]he thing about Anne of Cleves is, she was not supposed to be attractive,” Stone, 22, notes. “Anne, let’s be honest, was described as quite frumpy and ugly. But hey, I did it! I did my best! They had no problem making me ugly. Lots of makeup!”

Stone does, however, add, “I enjoyed wearing the dresses.”

Sure. And they no doubt provided a lot more coverage than her everyday wardrobe.

Stone’s two-episode appearance as Anne of Cleeves runs through May 24.

Things really got heated up at this weekend’s Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California, when Joss Stone took to the stage on Saturday. 

The 22-year-old singer was wearing a short, white dress when a gust of wind helped contribute to a little panty and booty flash! Sucks for her, but, c’mon! That dress is a little short for someone who’s going to be on stage, correct? Brutal desert heat or not.

When she’s not all glammed up on stage, 21-year-old pop star Joss Stone is just your average church-goin’, family-oriented gal. If she can be bothered to make it to God’s house on time, that is.

The Mirror reports that Joss was to be godmother to half-brother and heroin addict Daniel Skillin‘s son. Then she showed up to the baptism half an hour late.

Stone refused to read whatever mumbo-jumbo the church gave her. This got her relatives up in arms, says a guest at the sacrament, prompting the classy songbird to call them “old biddies.”

Things came to a head—literally—when Daniel stepped in.

“They were screaming at each other and the next thing, Joss headbutted him. Other family members ran over to break it up and she stormed off.”

Well, Amen. Family feuds seems to be running rampant in Great Britain these days.
