Later this year, Hollywood will release its own big, grand Hollywood version of August: Osage County, the critically acclaimed Broadway play that won a boatload of Tonys and the Pulitzer Prize in 2008.

This version stars Meryl Streep as pill-popping matriarch Violet Weston, and Julia Roberts as her disgruntled daughter, Barbara. There’s also Ewan McGregor, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chris Cooper, Abigail Breslin, Juliette Lewis and a whole bunch of other famous faces, too. Basically, this is Broadway to The Butler‘s national tour.

Whether the movie version will live up to the success of the play remains to be seen; Meryl already seems to be reaching high for an accent, which is never a great sign. Still, the movie is being backed by Harvey Weinstein, so at the very least, we’ll see it at the Globes.

Tom Hanks is your dad. Tom Hanks is your president. Tom Hanks is your king. According to a poll conducted by Reader’s Digest and The Wagner Group, Tom Hanks is the most trusted person in America.

What’s unclear is why people trust Tom Hanks. I mean, I guess he doesn’t seem particularly untrustworthy, but it’s just that he’s not poison testing my food or reporting the news or really performing any societal function in which my level of trust in him would be important. Granted, the sample group is only 1,000 people so it’s hardly scientific. Reader’s Digest proclaims the poll’s results to be “revealing, hopeful and sometimes shocking,” they are none of the three.

41-year-old Denise Richards’ bikini body has stayed enviable throughout the years, even after two children to wildman Charlie Sheen. The mother of three — she adopted a baby, Eloise, in 2011 – flaunted her killer figure in a red bikini poolside on Nov. 14.

Richards looked confident in the barely-there bikini, showing off her toned abs and muscular arms.

The Anger Management actress is proof positive that motherhood doesn’t have to get in the way of her fitness routine!

Other mothers looking fabulous in their bathing suits are Gwen Stefani and Julia Roberts. Both ladies sported skin-baring bikinis with washboard abs and sexy curves.

The Peter Pan collar, named after the white, rounded collar worn by Maude Adams in the 1905 American stage production of J.M. Barrie’s classic, has been long associated with little girls’ dresses and school uniforms.

However, this style, as well as the more common, angular white collar, has made a comeback in the fall collections of fashion heavyweights like Prada, DKNY, Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs, who’ve attached collars to dresses and tops alike.

White cuffs, reminiscent of the French sleeves typically fashioned with cufflinks, push the collared look into couture territory by adding structure and continuity.

And stylish stars like Emma Stone, Julia Roberts, Pippa Middleton — and the list goes on — are getting in on the trend.

But how to pull it off without veering into boarding school territory?

This style works on just about anyone wanting to dip her toe into menswear while still looking girly. White collars and cuffs work best as accents on fabrics like silk and cotton.

You’ll want the fabric to have enough weight to hold up the collar, but keep in mind that heavy fabric like tweed may make you appear boxy. As far as cut goes, dresses should hit above the knee to avoid coming off as staid.

Pair with feminine details like high heels and statement earrings – your outfit should be polished but not overly formal.  Avoid heavy knits that might make you look like schoolmarm and don’t pair tops with pleaded skirts and loafers so you don’t look like a schoolgirl.

The 30-year-old fiancee of songwriter Justin Timberlake later posted a photo of the two (with half of her own head missing from the picture), captioned:

But Biel has more than one crush. She previously confessed about her Valentine’s Day co-star Julia Roberts, ”I hear she has a girl crush on me, and I definitely have one on her. I think she is amazing.”

“The babies were born a few weeks early, but are in good health and both Mom and Dad are overjoyed,” said a joint statement from their reps on Wednesday.

She’s the latest Hollywood starlet to turn to the world’s oldest profession.

Ashley Tisdale – who rose to prominence portraying the innocent candy-counter girl Maddie Fitzpatrick on Disney’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody – is now so grown up that she’s signed on to play a role as an escort on the hit FX show Sons of Anarchy, Celebuzz has confirmed.

But Tisdale, 26, isn’t the first actress to play a prostitute.

Can anyone unseat the reigning champion, The Hunger Games?

After the triumphant opening, the focus has now switched to this weekend’s box office battle and Celebuzz has your early look at the contenders. Let’s take a peek.

Two very big — yet very different — fantasy films go head to head.  First up we have Wrath of the Titans, the sequel to 2010′s Clash of the Titans.  

This installment focuses on Perseus (Sam Worthington) as he tries to live a quiet life with his 10-year-old son, Helius (John Bell).  Meanwhile, a battle of power rages between the Gods and the Titans, played by Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes.

In another fantasy world, we have the first of two Snow White adaptations to be released this year, Mirror Mirror.  

 The film stars Lily Collins as Snow White, Armie Hammer as Prince Charming — and Julia Roberts as the evil queen. This version is much lighter and more fun than the darker Snow White and the Huntsmen, which releases in June.  Mirror Mirror looks to be quite the romp and is bound to be a family favorite.

From the less fantasy, more real category, this weekend sees the premiere of the documentary Bully.  

The much-hyped docu-film follows the lives of various teenagers as they deal with bullying in schools. This eye-opening view into the world of teens and bullies is a must see for anyone who is unaware of the severity of this national dilemma.

It was the movie that made him a heartthrob, but Richard Gere recently admitted his dislike for the rom-com Pretty Woman.

In a recent interview with Woman’s Day, the 62-year-old actor said, “It’s my least favorite thing. People ask me about that movie, but I’ve forgotten it. That was a silly romantic comedy. This is a much more serious movie that has some real cause and effect.”

What?! The 1990s film, about a call girl with a heart of gold (played by Julia Roberts) and a business man finding love, is considered by many to be a classic. The film also launched Gere and Roberts into superstardom.

Julia Roberts has landed on the April 2012 cover of Vanity Fair, in which she opens up about everything from her three kids to the perils of fame.

“There’s the express elevator and there’s rehab,” she said, on the fate of young actors in Hollywood today. “It’s so awful; nobody gets a fair trial-and-error period that everybody deserves and everybody needs.”

Meanwhile, Julia, who costars in Mirror Mirror with Lily Collins and Armie Hammer next month, also talked about her three children and how they are handling her fame.

“[O]n a crowded street, and somebody noticed me, and then another person noticed. Somebody said as we were walking past, ‘Oh, that’s Julia Roberts.’ We all just kind of kept going, and then Finn said, ‘Yeah, my mom’s Julia Robinson.’ That’s what gives you perspective. It could be Robinson, it could be Johnson, because it has nothing to do with me as a person.”

Ever since it was announced that Kristen Stewart and Lily Collins would be filming seperate Snow White projects, people have been speculating which would be the fairest of the all, and now we can do a real, in-depth comparison!

In the newly released trailer for Mirror Mirror, we get our first real look at The Blind Side actress stepping into the famous role, as well as Julia Roberts as the evil queen and Armie Hammer as Prince Charming (a role he was born to play in our opinions.)

It must be awesome when your mom or dad are the voices for some the world’s most famous animated movie characters!

Maybe the Jolie-Pitt brood could tell us. The young toddler’s famous A-list parents Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are no strangers to showing their gorgeous faces on the big screen, but since having kids, they’ve started lending their voices to some memorable animated characters.

While on a promo run for Megamind in which he played the role of a superhero, Brad shared with Access Hollywood just how important being in a kids movie can be, saying:

“Yeah, that’s how we choose our roles now — Will the kids like it? Will they like it when they get a little older? Is it a good location for the family,”

Of course it’s not just Brangelina that love doing family flicks. Stars such as Julia Roberts, Steve Carell and Nicole Kidman have all hit the big screen for the entertainment of their adorable little ones, perhaps as a way of giving their children something to watch that strays away from their usual PG-13 or R-Rated movies.

Viola Davis brought the crowd to their feet Monday night at Elle’s Women in Hollywood event when accepting her award, and Viola’s speech was definitely standing ovation worthy. Before we get to that, Celebuzz chatted with Davis about the kind words Julia Roberts had to say about her.

There is a remake in the works of Steel Magnolia’s with an all-black cast, and Julia told E! News that she approves, but says Viola needs to be in it.

“Oh Julia! That’s the first time I heard that,” Davis reacted with a genuine and surprised smile. “That woman is truly remarkable. Oh man, that is great. I would want the Sally Field role.”

Somehow we think the Oscar nominee, who is likely to nab another nomination this year for her work in The Help, may not have time for the Lifetime reboot. Still, Viola stressed to the star-studded crowd Monday the importance of roles for colored women:

“What keeps me in the business is hope, and that’s the hope that women of color are also part of the narrative…I’m sending a telepathic message to you: Every time some young actress of color comes in a room with a character they’re auditioning for that’s not ethnically specific, that you have a space in your brain that can open up and embrace them and allow them in, because I’m telling you, their lives are just as fascinating and multifaceted.”

The awards were made possible by Calvin Klein, David Yurman, and L’Oreal.

There’s always a crop of new, young talent coming through Hollywood these days, but they’ve got a tough road ahead of them thanks to these leading ladies who seem to have a secret against aging.

Julia Roberts stunned onlookers last week when she stepped out in Los Angeles looking as fabulous as ever — appearing as though she’s somehow been able to freeze time when it comes to aging. She’s not the only A-lister who has aged like a fine wine, only getting better as the years have gone on.
