Kanye’s Big Weekend
Kanye West made everyone’s Friday night when he announced he was going to premiere his new song on 66 buildings around the world. The next night, he performed the same song, “New Slaves” (and another new track, “Black Skinhead”) on SNL. Get ready for the summer of Kanye!

Ben Affleck didn’t get the Justin Timberlake treatment when the former officially joined the Five-Timers Club on the Saturday Night Live season finale, but he did take the opportunity to address his Oscars speech from earlier in the year.

To clear the air on “marriage is a lot of work,” the Argo director brought out wife Jennifer Garner.

The adorable banter fizzled when Affleck was “caught” reading from a cue card.

Most of Affleck’s SNL sketches were spot on, like this one with Fred Armisen playing Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad playing Affleck.

But the episode also belonged to two others: Bill Hader, who performed in his last episode, and Kanye West, who performed two brand new songs. (Armisen, who’s also rumored to be leaving but has yet to officially confirm his departure, had an emotional last sketch that included friend and Portlandia co-star Carrie Brownstein and a slew of musicians).

Finally, one day after premiering his song on 66 buildings around the world, West brought “New Slaves” to life on stage, along with another new song, “Black Skinhead.” After the show, the performer took to Twitter to share lyrics from the second song, while girlfriend Kim Kardashian hinted at what many believe is the title of West’s upcoming album, Yeezus.

As some of us got ready for the weekend on Friday, Kanye West got to work and released his new song in one of the most creative ways to hit the music world.

“NEW SONG AND VISUAL FROM MY NEW ALBUM BEING PROJECTED TONIGHT ACROSS THE GLOBE ON 66 BUILDINGS, LOCATIONS @ http://KANYEWEST.COM,” Yeezy wrote on Twitter.

That’s right, 66 buildings, including nine in New York City, six in Sydney and other locations that included Toronto, Paris and London, hosted projections as West’s new song played out.

Several spectators and videos posted to YouTube are concluding the song is called “New Slaves.”

“My mama was raised in the era when / clean water was only served to the fairer skin / threw on clothes, you would’ve thought I had help but they wasn’t satisfied unless I picked the cotton myself,” West raps in the beginning of the track.

In true Kanye West Twitter fashion, Friday’s tweet is the account’s only tweet as of Saturday morning. On May 2, the rapper posted a date, “June Eighteen,” and deleted his entire Twitter history, as fans and the equally curious began the guessing game: Kim Kardashian’s due date? The release date for his sixth studio album? (That tweet is gone now).

West’s fifth studio album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy has sold more than 1.25 million copies since his 2010 release. In between his solo work, the 35-year-old released the highly successful Watch the Throne with Jay-Z in 2011, and the compilation Cruel Summer with his crew from G.O.O.D. Music.

West’s big weekend is not over yet: he’s due in Studio 8H for the Saturday Night Live season finale tonight, with host Ben Affleck.

On Friday, the expectant parents were spotted hanging out in the swanky Los Angeles neighborhood clad in co-ordinating garb.

Kardashian, 32, was seen rocking a black lace ensemble while her 35-year-old beau sported dark leather pants and a matching top.

Like a true jet-setting couple, the duo affectionately dubbed Kimye were in New York City earlier this week for the annual Met Gala.

“Baby you’re AWESOME,” Kardashian tweeted that night when her baby daddy took the stage to perform.

After that, the E! reality indulged in some spa time with pal Jonathan Cheban upon arriving to the east coast.

That’s right — the rumors proved true. The rapper is the latest star to hop on the ever-more crowded cameo bandwagon for Anchorman: The Legend Continues.

The much-anticipated sequel, which will reunite original Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Christina Applegate and David Koechner, has already thrown Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Sacha Baron Cohen and Jim Carrey in a fight sequence it’s been filming in Atlanta’s Woodruff Park.

Now it looks like West is throwing down, too, in a brawl that brings to mind the star-studded famous fray from the original film. While the studio is staying mum on his role, new shots from set show West — sporting a noteworthy fro — taking down Carrell’s character, Channel 4 News Team weatherman Brick Tamland, with a hockey stick of all things.

While some seem to have fallen victim in the scuffle, don’t fear — for Ron Burgundy can been seen standing tall, above the defeated. “Don’t act like you’re not impressed.”

Another day, another set of famous faces spotted on the Anchorman: The Legend Continues set. This time it’s Kirsten Dunst and Jim Carrey.

The film, which will reunite original Anchorman stars Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Christina Applegate and David Koechner, has been filming a fight scene all week in Atlanta’s Woodruff Park. A nod to the famous fight scene in the first movie, this fight will apparently feature cameos from every single actor in Hollywood. Already this week Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Sacha Baron Cohen and Kanye West have been spotted on set — all dressed as news anchors. It appears that Carrey will also appear as a newscaster, while Dunst looks to be playing an angel who appears on a rooftop nearby.

Yesterday’s shoot was a mini-reunion for Dunst and Carrey, who co-starred in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind together.

Also set to star in the highly anticipated sequel are John C. Reilly, Nicole Kidman, James Marsden, Kristen Wiig, Harrison Ford, Will Smith and Liam Neeson. The sheer mass of cameos in Anchorman 2 make it like Hollywood’s version of a high school reunion, reuniting cast members from Mean Girls, Walk Hard, Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock and K-19: The Widowmaker.

Last September, Koechner told Celebuzz exclusively that the movie’s premise centers around the advent of the 24-hour cable news network. The film is expected to hit theaters this December.

Kim Kardashian on Tuesday shared a photo from inside last night’s star-studded Met Gala, offering fans a little glimpse into New York’s most fashionable party.

Kim Kardashian took a trip down memory lane this Friday by sharing old photos of herself with beau Kanye West back when they were working on her 2011 music video, “Jam (Turn It Up).”

Though you’d say their red hot chemistry is deniable now, the couple — who are currently expecting their first child together — were only friends at the time.

In sexy snapshots, the 35-year-old rapper is seen getting close to a monokini-clad Kardashian on the set of the music video.

“Another Flashback Friday #jam,” the 32-year-old mom-to-be wrote alongside one of the pictures. 

Now that’s one hot jam session.

This morning, Kanye West sent out a strange and mysterious tweet. This wouldn’t necessarily be news, as West is basically know for strange and mysterious tweets, but this tweet in particular is a date. What does it mean?

Kanye West Has a New Album Dropping

Kanye West is reportedly finished recording material for his sixth solo studio album. It’s possible that June 18th could be the planned release date for the as-yet-untitled album. West hasn’t released a CD of his own since 2010′s “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” except for his collaboration with Jay-Z, “Watch the Throne.” According to those who’ve heard West’s new material, the tone is “dark.”

It shouldn’t be long before we get to hear some of West’s new material. He’s booked as the musical guest on the season finale of Saturday Night Live May 18, an appearance he’ll likely use to promote at least of of his new songs on the upcoming album.

Kanye West Has a New Baby Dropping

In addition to new music, Kanye West has also recently collaborated on creating a human life with girlfriend Kim Kardashian. If June 18th were indeed the due date, it would mean Kim is a little more than seven months pregnant currently. West announced she was pregnant at a show in Atlantic City last December, when she would have been just three months pregnant. While three months is a bit early to announce to a crowd on drunk fans, that’s hardly a subject covered in Emily Post’s Etiquette, so it’s hard to fault West for his faux pas.

Kanye West is a Third-Wave Feminist

June 18th serves as an historic date for several major feminists: it marks the anniversary of the day that Sally Ride became the first American woman in space, Susan B. Anthony was fined for trying to vote and Amelia Earhart became the first woman to fly in an aircraft across the Atlantic Ocean.

Perhaps Kimye is having a girl and Kanye wants to leave a subtle reminder for his daughter that she can grow up to be anything.

Kanye West Hates France

Recently in France with Kim Kardashian, perhaps Kanye did not have a very nice time. June 18th is an embarrassing day in French history, the anniversary of Napoleon Bonaparte‘s defeat at Waterloo. Not usually known for his subtlety, this could be West’s vague message to the people of France.

Kanye West is a Member of the Illuminati

There is an obsession, in a particularly insane corner of the internet, with identifying major celebrities who are supposed members of the Illuminati. People pick apart song lyrics and lines from movies, claiming to know which celebs are meeting up in secret to plan the society’s destruction and the beginning of the New World Order. Really.

West has long been a suspected member of the club, stemming from his purported use of “Illuminati symbolism” in his music video for “Power,” as well as his close friendship with Jay-Z and Beyoncé who are basically co-presidents of the Famous People Illuminati Club.

“June Eighteen” could be a masked message to other members of the Illuminati. Written numerically, June 18th is 6-18. Six is one of occultism’s most venerated numbers. Eighteen could be separated as 11+7. Eleven is, of course, double ones, a very sacred number in occultism and seven is a divine number, representing complementing ideas, such as days of the week and colors of the rainbow.

No, but for real, June 18th is a Tuesday, which means it’s likely the release date for his new album. Also there is no Illuminati conspiracy. Seriously, you people are crazy.

And the vacation continues for Kim Kardashian.

After spending the week relaxing under the Grecian sun with her famous family, the mom-to-be reunited with her boyfriend Kanye West in Paris, France Tuesday.

The expectant parents spent the day perusing the shelves of Givenchy, Ferragamo, Hermes, Celine and Lanvin before dining at L’Avenue.

Given West’s history of “swagging on” his ladylove, we wouldn’t be surprised if the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star arrived back home with trunkful of pricey souvenirs.

The last time the duo was in the City of Love together, the 35-year-old dropped over $100,000 on Cartier bracelets for Kardashian.
