It’s hard for the gorgeous Kate Beckinsale to look bad in any outfit choice … or so we thought! The Underworld: Awakening beauty stepped out at Vanity Fair’s 2012 Oscar after-party in an unusual black and gold print cut-out dress.

The gown was an Atelier Versace design and accentuated her slim and stunning figure with the side cut-outs. She was holding two accessories the whole night, a black patent clutch and her director husband Len Wiseman!

Oscar fans got a little taste of the red carpet last night at the Costume Designers Guild 2012 Awards in Beverly Hills, CA, where nominee Rooney Mara arrived in a berry-colored – not to mention cleavage-bearing – halter dress.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo star went for a more traditional look than some of her previous fashions on Tuesday evening. If this is a preview of what’s to come on Sunday, we think she’ll hit it out of the park.

Meanwhile, stars Kate Beckinsale and Chloe Moretz also attended the event and, of course, looked just as stunning.

The vampire-playing actress is currently making promotional rounds for the international release of her brand new flick, Underworld: Awakening. The film recently premiered stateside on January 20, 2012.

On a promotional stop this morning in Berlin, Beckinsale, 38, shed her skin-tight leather costume for a lovely white Christian Dior dress. The eye-catching ensemble–paired with Ferragamo pumps–has her beaming with confidence. Are you as much in love with this dress as we are? Let us know in the comments below!

She hasn’t always walked with such over-the-top confidence. She recently reminisced with The Insider, saying, “I remember the first movie I did I was very intimidated by the costume.” Now, however, she completely puts her trust in the leather getup. “Actually, it gives you a little bit of help, if anything.”

This fourth installment of Kate’s popular vampire flick Underworld: Awakening finished at No. 1 at the box office over the weekend in the U.S., bringing in more than predicted, $25.3 million! The release date for the film in Spain is set for this coming Friday, Jan. 27.

Kate has become a fashion favorite, but she admitted to Style magazine (via London Daily Mail) that she wasn’t always quite so style savvy. “I did go through a period of looking quite unfortunate,” she disclosed. “I wore men’s pajama trousers and my brother’s jumper and I cut my own hair.”

Oh, how we love our vampires!

The onslaught of vampires continued this week with fans being treated to not one but two vampire franchises. Not only did the latest installment of the Underworld saga, Underworld Awakening, hit theaters, but vampire fans got to whet their appetite with new stills from Johnny Depp‘s new flick, Dark Shadows.

But these blood-thirsty creatures have existed in Hollywood cinema for decades. So why the fascination? Celebuzz is taking a look back at the best vamps from pop culture. Flip through the gallery to see which celeb has donned on the fangs over the years!

Kate Beckinsale: Seth Rogen Apologized After Globes Joke (VIDEO)

When Seth Rogen took the stage with Kate Beckinsale at the Golden Globes, he made a joke that presenting with her made him excited — in the pants. Kate took it in stride, and tells Celebuzz what happened backstage after the awkward moment!

Kate says Seth actually apologized for putting her on the spot, because the remark wasn’t rehearsed or planned. Judging from her giggles on the red (actually black) carpet at the Underworld: Awakenings premiere in Hollywood, she was quite amused by his comment!

“He was like, ‘I’m really sorry about that, I hope you don’t mind,’” she reveals with a laugh. “I said, no, no, it’s fine.”

When it comes to onscreen vampires, we had to wonder who would win in a battle of the ladies — Bella from Twilight or Selene from Underworld?

Booboo Stewart says we haven’t seen much of Bella as a vampire, so it could be anybody’s guess.

Other celebs, however, were clearly on team Selene! Costars India Eisley, Theo James and Michael Ealy didn’t even take a pause when picking a side. “Selene is a DEATH DEALER,” Michael said. “She kills people. That’s what she does.”

Theo agreed, adding, “She’s old school.”

The vampire warrioress Selene leads the battle against humankind.” Rotten Tomatoes audiences are giving the film a 92%, with one reviewer saying, “Storytelling is a little stiff, other than that, Selene will kick your ass!”

Kate Beckinsale Flaunts Amazing Bikini Body in Mexico (PHOTOS)

Kate Beckinsale and her husband Len Wiseman spent some time resting and relaxing poolside in Mexico this week, and Kate, 38, reminded everyone that she’s got one of the best bodies in Hollywood thanks to her choice of swimwear.

Sporting a skimpy black bikini, Kate was seen being photographed by Len on his cellphone, posing for the occasion before joining him on his lounge chair for some cuddling and PDA. After six successful years of marriage, it seems there’s still a romantic spark between the actress-director duo.

Kate and Len married in 2004 after meeting on the set of Underworld, which Len directed and Kate starred in. They’re working together once again for the 2012 remake of Total Recall, and Kate will be reprising her Underworld role in Underworld Awakening, though Wiseman will not be behind the cameras directing this version.

Double Take! Kate Beckinsale Hangs with Her ‘Total Recall’ Double

Can you tell which hot girl is Kate Beckinsale and which one is an imposture?! It’s tough to tell when Kate stands next to double for Total Recall. FYI, Kate is on the right.

The girls were filming the action movie remake in Toronto, Canada with Kate walking around packing heat! Okay, it’s a stunt gun but she looks pretty fierce! Two other hotties in the movie with Kate are Jessica Biel and Colin Farrell. Check out some shirtless pics of Colin after the jump!

The sexy actor was heating up the Total Recall as he strolled completely shirtless after shooting a scene from his new film. Showing off his sculpted abs and biceps, Colin made time for some father-son bonding, as he carried his son Henry, 1, to his trailer.

The Total Recall movie description reads: “As the nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai vie for supremacy, a factory worker (Farrell) begins to suspect that he’s a spy, though he is unaware which side of the fight he’s on.” The film isn’t set to be released until some time next year.

When we hear break-up, usually tears, fights, and enemies come to mind. For many A-listers, however, the case has been quite the contrary. Despite the break-ups, these celebs keep their exes close.

Even though Kate Beckinsale and Michael Sheen went through a divorce in 2003, it’s nice to know that after 8 years apart, they can put their differences aside and smile when they are around their daughter, Lily Mo. The two were seen together taking Lily to the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow: Part II on July 12th in Toronto where Sheen even proved that chivalry is not dead by opening the door for his girls.

Curious as to which other celeb exes are still friendly?

After their divorce was final, Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson were spotted having an intimate dinner for two in Los Angeles. The friendly exes were seen flirting and leaning into each other talking. Are these two rekindling their relationship or just trying to stay in touch?

Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz were once a real life couple back in 2007 but decided to part ways. Thanks to the big screen, the two were reunited in Bad Teacher and never once did things seem awkward. Diaz told People.com that being onset with Timberlake was not a big deal. “We had a great time,” she said.

But the most friendly exes award goes to Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. After 13 years of marriage, the couple separated in 1998 due to irreconcilable differences. Although some may find it hard to be friends with an ex, the two took everyone by surprise. Demi married Ashton Kutcher in 2005, and Willis was seen at the wedding showing his support to the happy couple. They have also been captured walking the red carpet together with their children and Ashton. If that’s not love then I don’t know what is!
