Kevin Bacon, Kate Walsh, Sigourney Weaver, Alec Baldwin, Cat Deely, LL Cool J, Ricky Gervais, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Amy Poehler will be among those to hand out statuettes this Sunday, when the 61st Annual Emmy Awards go off live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. TMZ reports that Young is dragging out the proceedings by filing papers on Friday contesting the reports of an accounting firm hired by the couple to determine the worth of their joint assets so they can be divvied up.

Young has allegedly been pestering the company so much that the firm, London & Co., filed papers last month asking a judge to grant a protective order to get Young off their back.

Young claims that London & Co. has refused to provide him with a full accounting of a multi-million home that the two bought in 2007, a month before they got married, and presumably believes that they’re concealing potential profits from him.

The accounting firm counters that it has provided Young with all necessary paperwork, but that he refuses to relent in his belief that they’re holding something back.

Maybe Young doesn’t realize that the housing market has taken a serious blow since they bought the house, leading to a decrease in its value?

In the meantime, Walsh is trying to bring the proceedings to as speedy a resolution as possible. OK! Magazine reports that the Private Practice actress’ attorney, Laura Wasser, has requested a trial date for their divorce, which would force the estranged couple to either sort things out on their own or let a judge handle if for them.

But now the mystery behind the puzzling breakup may be unraveling.

Star magazine reports that 41-year-old Private Practice star Walsh may have been getting too chummy with 39-year-old co-star David Sutcliffe.

“Kate really likes David, and knowing that didn’t help Alex’s fragile ego,” a friend of Walsh’s tells the magazine. “Kate and David had a real connection playing lovers on the show, and she didn’t seem to have that with her own husband.”

Canadian actor Sutcliffe, who plays cop/love interest Kevin Nelson, divorced former Growing Pains actress and Playboy Playmate Julie McCullough in 2003.

News broke last week that Young had filed for divorce from Walsh, citing irreconcilable differences.  The filing disclosed that the two had been separated since November 22.

Walsh and Young married in December 2007, after a dating for a few months.

Us Magazine reports that Grey’s alum and current Private Practice star Kate Walsh is splitting with her husband, film executive Alex Young, 37.

The magazine reports that Young filed for divorce from Walsh, 41, citing irreconcilable differences, and that the couple have been separated since November 22—just in time for Thanksgiving. Ouch!

The couple married in September 2007, after dating for just a few months. The ceremony, held at Ojai Presbyterian Church in Ojai, California, was attended by Walsh’s then-costars, Katherine Heigl, Knight, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr. and Justin Chambers.

When news of the pair’s engagement broke, Walsh exclaimed to reporters, “I’m on cloud nine!”

Sounds like even cloud nine is capable of producing a little rain.
