Each year the Met Gala brings us the best and, more entertainingly, the worst in celebrity haute couture. This year’s punk theme promised some major misses and, oh boy, did our favorite famous people ever deliver.

There were quite a few runners-up. Cameron Diaz‘s odd cape and Vera Wang‘s self-censored nightmare nearly made the list. But alas, they were topped by these ten truly terrible ensembles.

Given that Katy Perry‘s latest perfume is named Killer Queen, it’s only appropriate for her to be rocking a crown to fashion’s biggest night.

The “Wide Awake” crooner channeled royalty for Monday night’s 2013 Met Gala, kicking off the “PUNK: Chaos to Couture” exhibition in Dolce & Gabbana style.

With a bedazzled portrait of the Virgin Mary emblazoned on her chest, the 28-year-old attended the star-studded soiree with her dress’ designers, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.

“Tonight for The Met I am channeling the OG queen of PUNK, JOAN of ARC,” Perry wrote alongside a snap of her studded nails, below.

Singer Katy Perry gave herself the royal treatment, so to speak, at the launch of her Killer Queen fragrance Monday night in New York.

The 28-year-old pop princess arrived with a whole lot of things for fans to look at — namely, a floral-printed dress by Thom Browne.

And then there was that manicure, which she showed off on Twitter in all its glory and confusion.

After a whirlwind trip to a Miami strip club over the weekend, Rihanna tweeted at BFF Katy Perry, cheekily telling the popstar that she’ll let her smack her booty the next time they hang out.

The racy tweet comes after Perry, 28, tweeted that she was slightly miffed at the “Stay” crooner after she went to King Of Diamonds Gentlemen’s Club without her.

“Ermm…I was in LA Saturday night…Should I be proud or offended I wasn’t invited @rihanna #WHOISTHISDOPPLEGANGER,” she tweeted to her pal.

In all honesty, Rihanna wasn’t even in the same city as the songstress that night. But like a true friend, the 25-year-old said that she’ll make it up to her somehow.

RiRi wrote, “@katyperry errm I wasn’t! Lol! #miaminights howeverrrrr….I’ll still let you spank me!”

Perry then proceeded to try and set up an actual time and place for said “spanking,” writing back, “Don’t worry @rihanna I’ll make it up to you at Barclays…”

She added, “Or more like let you make it up to me… Hehehe @rihanna.”

So, that’s a reason to tune into the MTV Music Video Awards — which is slated to be held at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center — this August.

Yesterday, even more celebrities headed to the Coachella Valley for this year’s music festival, including Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart (acting very cute as they walked across the grounds together), Julianne Hough and 2/3 of the Jonas Brothers.

Poor Tallulah Willis,19,  gets the Off-Her-Rocker award for behaving like an absolute whack job.  Bruce Willis and Demi Moore‘s youngest daughter wore a high-waisted two-piece that she paired with combat boots and red socks, a selection that will live on in Coachella history.

The teen behaved like she was chocolate-wasted, and then used the assistance of her friend to get the heck out of dodge (or at least away from the cameras).

All the kids traveled two-ish hours east of LA for Coachella this year, and Katy Perry joined her friends, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart on day one in Indio, CA.

The three hung with a group of people while watching Jurassic 5′s performance last night.  Pattinson wore a hooded sweatshirt while drinking Gatorade, and Stewart hung close by him in printed body-con skirt and backwards cap.

Earlier this week, Stewart and Pattinson celebrated her 23rd birthday with close pals at Janes House in Hollywood.  An eyewitness told Celebuzz that rather than hang in a VIP area, the party stuck to the more public scene.

“They were all hanging out in front of the other guests and looked like they were having a great time together,” the source said.
