The Closer star Kyra Sedgwick and her husband Kevin Bacon were seen frolicking on the beach in Hawaii on New Year’s Eve, and both were looking amazing! Sporting a teeny purple and black bikini, the 46-year-old (!) star showed off her washboard abs as she splashed around in the ocean.

Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Bacon were seen on set of their new film R.I.P.D. in Boston on Monday morning, and were both looking swoon-worthy. The hunky duo were seen shooting in a pretty sweet looking Dodge Charger as they smiled and waved to the on-looking paparazzi.

So, what’s this movie all about?

According to IMDB the action-packed film will center around, “A recently slain cop joins a team of undead police officers working for the Rest in Peace Department and tries to find the man who murdered him.”

It also stars Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges, Weeds star Mary-Louise Parker and Victoria’s Secret Angel Marisa Miller. It’s scheduled to hit theaters in 2013.

While Ryan and his pal Sandra Bullock have been dodging relationship rumors for the last couple of months, it seems they have yet to subside!

X-Men: First Class hits theaters June 3!

An “insider” tells Entertainment Weekly that Gossip Girl‘s shooting schedule got in the way of the film.

This isn’t the remake’s first bout with doom: the director and writer roles have been shuffled around like a deck of cards since Crawford signed on to do the film.

For those of you who live under a rock: the original 1984 Footloose starred a young Kevin Bacon and focused on a town where dancing was outlawed. Maybe all this trouble is the gods way of telling Hollywood to cool it with the ’80s movie remakes?

Kevin Bacon, Kate Walsh, Sigourney Weaver, Alec Baldwin, Cat Deely, LL Cool J, Ricky Gervais, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Amy Poehler will be among those to hand out statuettes this Sunday, when the 61st Annual Emmy Awards go off live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. (The show will be broadcast on CBS.)

Julianne Hough may be getting super close to People’s Hottest Bachelor Chace Crawford in the upcoming remake of Footloose!

A Paramount Studio rep confirmed to Usmagazine.com on Friday that “Julianne Hough has been offered the part in Footloose, and it is contingent on scheduling.”

If her schedules is worked out, the film will mark Hough’s first major film project. Julianne became famous as a dancer on everyone’s favorite celebrity dancing show, Dancing With The Stars. She is also pursuing a career in country music!

Hough had some stiff competition landing the leading part, including Miley Cyrus, Hayden Panettiere, and Amanda Bynes. The spot was played in the 1984 original by Lori Singer.

Derek Hough has confirmed with E! Online that he is in talks to appear in the upcoming Footloose remake. He said, “I haven’t auditioned, but I’ve met with the people.”

The blonde dancer is no stranger to the well-loved musical, as he played Ren, the small-town dancing rebel, in the 2006 West End production of Footloose.

While he didn’t say what role he was in talks to play, he affirmed, “Footloose is definitely really close to me. I would love to be a part of something like that.”

Chace Crawford is also reportedly in talks to play Ren, who was portrayed by Kevin Bacon in the original movie. 17 Again star Zac Efron was originally slated to play the character, but backed out to pursue other interests.

Other actors in talks to star in the movie include Derek’s sister, Julianne Hough, and Hayden Panettiere.

Man, the rumors keep coming and coming. Just let us know the cast already!

Kelly Osbourne has checked into rehab for the second time. Kelly’s mother Sharon told RadarOnline that her daughter will reveal what she’s addicted to when she completes her 30 days of treatment. “What else can we say? She knew that it was the right thing to do at this point and we’re proud that she did it. The family is all standing behind her. Kelly knew that she needed help and she’s getting it,” Mrs. Osbourne said.

Celebrity designer Lisa Klein‘s husband Robert Bryson was killed in a fall early yesterday morning. TMZ reports that Klein heard a loud crash outside of their home and discovered that her husband had fallen from a balcony and onto a fence outside. Attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful. The accident appears to be a sleep-walking incident, although police are said to be investigating whether or not alcohol was involved.

Patrick Swazye plans to write a memoir with his wife Lisa. Us reports that the actor, who is currently battling pancreatic cancer, is meeting with publishers this week. The book will not be an inspirational tome, according to sources.

Talk show host Larry King is reportedly among the investors who lost millions due to the Bernie Madoff Ponzi scam. Page Six reports that King may have lost up to $1 million, joining other celebrities including Kevin Bacon and his wife Kyra Sedgwick who reportedly lost their life savings in the investment scheme.

The Huffington Post confirms with 50-year-old Bacon’s publicist Allen Eichhorn that the couple indeed invested with the disgraced Madoff, jailed on December 11 for fronting a Ponzi scheme that claimed the likes of director Stephen Spielberg and producer Jeffrey Katzenberg.

Bacon’s rep would not elaborate on precisely how much money the couple has lost, yet Madoff’s entire scheme is said to have cost participants around $50 billion.

Sedgwick, 43, is nominated for a Golden Globe for her work in TNT’s The Closer, and will hit the carpet with her husband when the ceremony airs live from Los Angeles on January 11, 2009.
