Adrian Grenier, who plays Vincent, was joined by Jeremy Piven (Ari), Kevin Connolly (Eric), Kevin Dillon (Drama) and a very slim Jerry Ferrara (Turtle). Looking handsome as ever, it seems the gang hasn’t lost any of their magic and will have plenty of Hollywood hijinks in store in the weeks to come.

Lauer commented on the more serious tone of the last season, noting that many fans felt that the heavier mood weighed down the show. Grenier was quick to emphasize that this season would be the lighter, more triumphant Entourage that fans had come to know and love:

“Vince is back, he has got to prove to everyone that he is not actually the drug addict that everyone thinks he is.”

The cast, known for their close camaraderie, was nostalgic about the past seven years together. Connolly summed up the feelings of his castmates, saying:

“I think it would be impossible to duplicate this experience, it’s just been so unique. You could go on and do ten shows, however many and win Academy Awards, but it will never be as special and unique as this ­–lightening in the bottle.”

Luckily for fans around the world, this won’t be the last we see of Vince and the boys. The cast are all on board for an Entourage movie, Connelly enthusiastically affirmed:

“We are going to try really hard to make that happen.”

On this chapter of their lives finally closing, Lauer read a tweet that Piven had posted a which read “Don’t be sad because it’s over, smile because it happened”, a message that the star said David Nutter, the series’ director, told the cast when the 8^th season wrapped. We couldn’t agree with him more!

The former Sopranos star was filming an  upcoming episode of Entourage with castmate Kevin Dillon at a dog park. Sigler, 27, began appearing on the show intermittently in 2008, playing herself. While filming the series, she ended up dating Jerry Ferrara, who plays scruffy entrepreneur Turtle.

Hopefully Ferrara doesn’t object to Drama hanging out with with his woman. That dude’s been known to act a bit skeevy at times.

The Entourage crew were snapped filming their sixth season in Los Angeles on Monday.

Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, and Jerry Ferrara were spotted walking the streets ala their usual Reservoir Dogs schtick and then settling down at LA’s Urth Cafe.

When last we left the boys, Vince had taken back his firing of Eric and all was well in Entourage-land.

But with a moody actor (Grenier), an anxiety-ridden manager (Connolly), two comical hangers-on (Dillon and Ferrara), and a mercury poisoned (in real life) agent played by Jeremy Piven, can everyone stay the course?

Yes, the whole gang will be back: Jeremy Piven, Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Kevin Connolly, and the ever-lovable Turtle, played by Jerry Ferrara.

This season, they’re really mixing things up! Guest stars include rappers Bow Wow and T.I., Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester, Olympic stud Michael Phelps, and actors Mark Whalberg and Jamie-Lynn Sigler. 

Bow Wow will definitely be getting some action. He revealed that he shot his first sex scene for the show—in a major way.

“‘It’s with a porn star. It was unreal because I didn’t know that I had a sex scene until that day. When I saw a robe in my trailer, I thought, am I taking a bath?“

Whether so many star-studded additions reeks of desperation or if they really add something to the story line remains to be seen. At least the rapper got laid.

This fighting can’t be real. Ferarra’s gorgeous sweater vest isn’t getting mussed. It’s much too precious for real fisticuffs.

According to Pacific Coast News Online, Entourage creator Doug Ellin promises that the fifth season will feature a girlfriend and an actual storyline for Ferarra.
