It is if she has anything to do with it. The Sex and the City star may have risen to fame for playing Samantha Jones, a character who is quick to take off her clothes, but now Kim is saying that she will no longer remove her clothes on film. From Celebslam:

When I turned 50, I decided that I didn’t want to be photographed nude anymore, so you don’t really see me nude [in Sex and the City 2] you see me doing maybe a physical, a sexual act, but there’s no part of my body that is exposed.

While some people will be sad to hear that the stunning 53-year-old actress is leaving the world of nude scenes, they may be comforted with the fact that the public has seen Kim nude roughly 5,000 times.

Though the sequel to 2008′s Sex and the City movie isn’t due to hit theaters for another four months, a third installment of the Adventures of Carrie and Crew is reportedly already being rushed into production. What’s the hurry? Well, the movie’s stars are getting up there in age, and apparently the studio feels that Menopause and the City won’t put the meat in the seats. A source spills:

“There is also a third movie on the go. It’s under wraps for publicity reasons. It makes sense to film the second and third movies back-to-back. The characters will look a lot younger on screen when the third movie is out in a couple of years.”

Smart move, ladies. But here’s a protip: If you want to appear younger in the next film, it’s probably not wise to have any teenage pop stars stand next to you in the thing. May we suggest an alternate?

Behold, the new teaser-trailer for Sex and the City 2, in which Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall promise to reveal “things you thought would never happen in in a million years.”

Chris Noth AKA Mr. Big has signed on for the second film, according to SATC actress Sarah Jessica Parker, who revealed the great news at Monday night’s Wonderful World premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. 

All four of the main ladies have signed on for the sequel, as well as original writer-director Michael Patrick King. The movie is due out May 28, 2010.

While Parker kept mum on any specific details of the plot, it was also revealed that Dancing With The Stars contestant Giles Marini might be back as neighbor and love interest to Kim Cattrall. Parker said, “I don’t have a clue. I don’t know anything specific about a story for him, but it’s very possible.”

Let’s hope, because more man candy equals big bucks!

A source has revealed several plot details to Life and Style magazine, some unexpected, some not.

First, the obvious: Carrie Bradshaw and Big’s union is headed for rocky waters.

“Their marriage is going to face lots of challenges,” the tattletale reveals. “Big will be tempted by a younger colleague. It’s a juicy role for whoever they wind up casting.”

Marital trouble? Maybe Sarah Jessica Parker can draw from personal experience in preparing for that one?

All this assumes, of course, that Big actor Chris Noth will be in the sequel. As of this week, he has yet to sign on for the project. Guess he has trouble committing in real life too.

The mole adds that Samantha Jones will also have her share of woes.

“The proposed story line for Samantha will be her having to downsize her big-spending life after some of her investments get wiped out,” says the source. “You will see her having to survive on a more modest budget but still staying true to her fabulous taste.”

Sex star Kim Cattrall, 52, initially told Spice Girls member Melanie Brown that there would be a sequel to the hit movie back in November, but Sarah Jessica Parker, 43, played down her co-star’s statement just days later.

Now a source has told Us: “Not all the contracts are signed, but everyone is on board. It just happened.”

Rumors surrounding the hit Sex franchise—which also stars Kristin Davis, 43, and Cynthia Nixon, 42—are nothing new.

Just recently Parker was said to be angling to get Britney Spears to appear in the new film.

Surrounded by twentysomething performers from London burlesque theater production La Clique, 52-year-old Cattrall confidently posed topless for a recreation of Italian Renaissance artist Titian‘s painting Diana and Actaeon.

The modern-day recreation of the famous art piece from circa 1585 is a collaboration between photographer Tom Hunter and BBC program The Culture Show. They’ve taken on the project in order raise the roughly $77 million needed to purchase the original painting from its owner, the Duke of Sutherland, and keep it in London’s National Gallery, where the piece is currently being housed.

The Duke plans to remove Diana and Actaeon from the gallery and sell it in an auction if the money is not raised by December 31.

Kim Cattrall, whose parents are British, commented to the Daily Mail, “Viewing this painting is like being in the presence of genius, it would be a tragedy if it were not on public view.”

In the meantime, while Kim recently announced that the Sex and the City movie sequel will begin shooting next summer, her co-star Sarah Jessica Parker issued a statement playing down the timing of the production.

Why does art always have to be surrounded by controversy?

“We will do the sequel next summer…(it’s been) difficult getting everybody all together at the same time,” is what Kim told Melanie Brown recently on a British talk show.

Not so fast, Kim!

“I’m thrilled to know Kim is excited but all the deals are not yet done,” Parker said in her statement. “With ‘the wind on our heels,’ we hope to make it a reality.”

Translation: Easy there, Kim. Let’s iron out the finances first. The movie version of Sex and the City was huge. And I plan on getting paid, bitch!

The supple-legged beauty seen sashaying through the streets of New York City is Patricia Field, costume designer for the cable and big-screen versions of Sex and the City.

It all makes sense. With a guiding sartorial light like Field, is it any surprise that Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon so often look like this?

Entrusting wardrobe to this visionary is like having Jeffery Dahmer do catering for the set.
