Robert Pattinson recently ditched his normally shy persona to bite back at rock star and sometime-provacetuer Courtney Love.

See, it all started earlier this year when Robert was rumored to be cast a Kurt Cobain in a possible Nirvana bio-pic. Once Courtney got wind of the suggestion she immediately shot it down as “stupid” and asked, rather rudely, “who would cast him?” Well, a lot of people would, Courtney, he is only one of the hottest young movie stars on the planet!

Courtney’s words apparently hurt the 24-year-old hunk who told the Daily Mirror (via Dlisted) what he thinks of all the silliness:

I love Nirvana, but I love them a bit too much – I’d be embarrassed. And you see all these comments, like from Courtney Love, saying ’What the fuck! He’s totally wrong for it’, and I’m like, ’I fucking said no, you dick!’

Yikes! Sounds like strong words from the normally well-mannered and shy Eclipse star. Not that we blame him, but we hope that the two grunge-lovers can patch things up.

The Widow Cobain has reportedly been offered $162 million by Evergreen Capital for her remaining 75 percent stake in the End of Music catalogue, which controls the rights to her deceased husband’s work.

Not a bad haul, for a woman who’s had more than her share of financial woes lately. And that kind of dough could buy a lot of therapy and medications—perhaps even enough to stem La Love’s seemingly endless emotional meltdowns for a while.

Even so, a source claims, Love’s decision to divest herself of the Nirvana catalogue may not hinge on dollar signs:

“Courtney thinks the catalogue comes with too many memories. It’s haunted.”

Fair point. And maybe she can spread some of her windfall around to help us get over the frightening image of her having sex with Kate Moss that she recently planted in the public’s consciousness.

Courtney Love has thoroughly shot down reports that she was eyeing R-Pattz to portray her deceased husband on the big screen, pooh-poohing,

“Isn’t that so stupid, who would cast him? No offense…I watched the Twilight stuff very, very recently and I get it, it resonates with the teenaged girl in me, I understand epic love of that nature; I write about it all the time. But isn’t that silly?”

Perhaps not as silly as wearing a turtle on your head, Courtney, but yeah—point taken.

The casting would make sense, Robert does bear some resemblance to Kurt and we all know how Robert loves wallowing in his cute grungey-ness.

Love is also reportedly looking to cast Scarlett Johansson to play Love in the film. Oh, Courtney, Scarlett may be blonde but that is where the resemblance to you begins and ends. Of course, if we were casting a film about our life we would be hiring the best looking actors to play ourselves, even if the physical resemblance is thin.

Love is also looking to tap David Fincher to direct the film. Fincher has previously directed Fight Club.

If Robert does end up taking the role, it might introduce his dreaminess to the over-30 crowd, and the more Robert handsomeness that is spread around, the better. Also, maybe girlfriend Kristen Stewart can give him some tips on how to play a rock legend since her turn as Joan Jett in The Runaways was so successful.

The New York Post reports that Love is going to court to regain millions of dollars that have been “looted” from the estate of her deceased husband, former Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.

Thanks to a team of investigators and “forensic accountants,” Love and her legal team have discovered that more than $30 million in cash and up to $500 million in real estate have gone missing. And now Love wants it back.

“I have never seen such greed and moral turpitude,” says Love’s lawyer, Rhonda J. Holmes. “This case is going to make Bernard Madoff look warm and fuzzy.”

Holmes says that she and her client will be launching legal proceedings “within the next 30 days. There are many, many millions missing. We’ve only been able to track down $30 million, but there is more. And then there is the real estate.”

Love’s attorney claims that bank accounts using the Social Security numbers of Courtney, Kurt and their daughter, Frances Bean, were used to buy and sell homes across the country.

“There is now a web of homes which were bought, flipped and used to launder money—up to $500 million worth,” Holmes asserts. “Any of the property we can get back will be donated to people who have lost their homes in foreclosures.”

Interestingly, Love recently found herself on the receiving end of a lawsuit. New Musical Express reports that Boudoir Queen fashion designer Dawn Simorangkir is suing the volatile songstress for allegedly making “menacing and disturbing” statements via her Twitter and MySpace accounts.

Nice to know that Courtney is doing her part to keep the economy afloat by providing plenty of work for legal professionals.

So of course, the British edition of Elle magazine put the former Mrs. Kurt Cobain, age 44, on its January 2009 cover.

Bearing the cover line “Truly Madly Courtney: Up All Night With Rock’s Coolest Blonde,” the issue carries a tell-all interview with the famously opinionated Love.  Among her confessions, according to the Daily Mail:

• That she once considered lap-band surgery to lose weight. “Baby, if I could get a gastric band I would,” Love confesses. “I’ve heard it’s a lot of vomiting and a pain in the ass, but it’s still easier than a diet. I did go to see a Hollywood doctor about it.” (According to other accounts, Love did more than just think about the surgery.)

• That her daughter, 16-year-old Frances Bean Cobain, knows all about her mom and late dad Kurt Cobain‘s drug habits: “My daughter knows I did drugs in my first trimester of pregnancy. She weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces, when she was born and she was healthy,” the proud mama recalls. “We were excellent parents, and I say that despite pretty much always having an edge on.”

Hmm; average birth weight aside, the effects of Love’s prenatal drug use on Frances Bean are probably still up for debate. That is, if the kid’s questionable work ethic is an indication.

Why should she bother with small potatoes like having her own music career? She’s nowhere near done making bank off her dead husband.

According to the New York Post, 15-year-old Frances Bean’s summer internship with Rolling Stone magazine isn’t exactly instilling a sturdy work ethic in the rock-legend scion.

“She doesn’t get coffee for anyone…calls in sick all the time and wears funny outfits,” says the paper’s source.

Wears funny outfits? Thank goodness RS founder Jann Wenner didn’t tap this rock-royalty rugrat to help around the office.

A representative for Rolling Stone denies the claims: “She’s a great girl, and we’re glad to have her.”

Of course they’d say that. They’re scared to death to let her go. Courtney Love will come down to the Rolling Stone offices and rant incoherently for 73 straight hours before vomiting in the water fountain and relieving herself in a potted plant.

The whereabouts of Kurt Cobain‘s ashes might be a mystery, but Converse has released its special-edition Kurt Cobain Chuck Taylor sneakers, emblazoned with “doodlings drawn from the personal notebook” of the deceased Nirvana singer, who took his own life (or so they want us to believe) in 1994.

Available in both high- and low-top models, the canvas kicks run $49.95 a pair—a bit steep by Chuck T standards but a small price to pay to walk around with the offhand scribbles of a grunge poet wrapped around your feet.

And as soon as a certain someone’s foot heals, she’ll no doubt run out and buy a pair.

Draped in gauzy lace and a hat that visually reeks of mothballs from Grandma’s attic, Courtney Love somehow summoned the decency to keep her lady parts mostly concealed.

The Hole singer even scrounged up an authentic pair of granny-panties to complete the “elderly verging on deceased” theme of her ensemble.

Reportedly, Love was on a shopping expedition. Shopping in a series of crypts for her dead husband’s missing ashes.

Amy Winehouse, eat your heart out. Nobody does cracked-out quite like our Courtney.

The distraught and previously drug-addled widow says the teddy bear bag with her husband’s remains has been missing for weeks. “I find it disgusting, and right now I’m suicidal.”

“They were all I had left of my husband. I used to take them everywhere just so I could feel Kurt was still with me…I can’t believe anyone would take Kurt’s ashes from me.”

Hmmm, she’s probably not alone in her disbelief.

In other news, Courtney’s still unable to find the mysterious individual who stole her old face, although suspicions are running high that it was a blind, epileptic, one-armed surgeon.
