The 25-year-old, who was at Barnes & Noble at The Grove on Tuesday to promote her new book, The Fame Game, tweeted about her new hairdo just prior to the event, teasing, “Trying to convince [stylist] @Kristin_Ess to dye my tips fuchsia for tonight’s book signing…” It looks like she was pretty convincing!

Lauren, who later referred to her hair as “My little (pink) pony,” has changed her hair color a number of times over the last couple of years. She most famously went the brunette route last January, before switching back to her blonde roots.

Lea, 25, recently showed off her fit frame while on vacation in Cabo, Maxico, with her Glee beau and co-star Cory Monteith, while Lauren, 26, just stripped down for Glamour magazine.

So how do they get their amazing bodies? The pair revealed their “life changing” secret to Celebuzz at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, Calif. at the weekend.

“Read Skinny Bitch!” Conrad confessed in an exclusive interview at the LACOSTE L!VE desert pool party, during our joint interview.

“Oh my god,” Lea interjected. “Give me a high-five. Didn’t it change your life?!” 

“It scared the s–t out of me!” the former The Hills star told Lea. ”Everything you eat you’re like, ‘Oh, God I know what’s in that now.’ It’s just informing you about what’s in your food.”

“Exactly,” added Lea. “When you read the book, you’re like ‘Oh, it’s just going to be all about being skinny,’ but it’s not at all. What I love about the book is that it’s just the hard core truth. Seriously, it changed my life.”

Lea was rocking wedges, a red swimsuit and a white cover-up to the fashionable soiree. But she insisted to Celebuzz that her toned physique isn’t from working out.

“It’s called the Glee diet — just dancing and singing 24/7,” Lea admitted. “I don’t go to the gym! I’m a vegetarian and I’m very energetic.”

The glowing small screen star — who plays uptight show standout Rachel Berry — also insisted a good body comes from being in a good place.

“I’m happy,” she said.

“If you’re happy, you don’t care [how you look]. If the people you surround yourself with make you feel good, it just shows.”

“Oh, I died for your Glamour shoot,” Lea, 25, gushed to Lauren, 26, during an exclusive interview with Celebuzz at the LACOSTE L!VE desert pool party in Palm Springs, Calif., on April 14 — an event part of the Coachella festivities.

Whilst both dishing about how they get their amazing bodies, Lea — who plays Rachel Berry on the hit Fox show — paused to compliment The Hills star on her recent topless cover.

“The inside shots are so beautiful,” Lea said.

“Thank you!” replied Lauren sweetly, before confessing: “My dad’s not so thrilled about it!”

Lea, who in the past has appeared in GQ and Britain’s Marie Claire, found herself in the same position.

Her dad, delicatessen owner Marc Sarfati, and Lauren’s father Jim Conrad, an architect, found looking at their scantily-clad children a tough task, both revealed in the middle of our exclusive chat — which become more of a back-and-forth between the small screen stars and pals!

“When I did GQ, my dad wasn’t so thrilled either,” said Lea, giggling, as she tried to reassure Lauren, who complimented her pal right back.

“I even told my mom (Kathy) not to tell him!” Lauren responded. “That was my only thing. When I did it I was like, ‘Don’t tell dad!’”

But despite having bared more than most cover girls, the pair was modest about their sexy magazine spreads.

Lea told Lauren: “You’re looked like Bridget Bardot! I felt like it was so sexy. When I was reading it in public, I had to hide it. I was reading it at the airport (and I had to) fold it back because I felt uncomfortable!”

“So did I!” Lauren confessed, adding: “I’ve been traveling a lot so I run by them every time I see it at an airport!”

While appearing on Access Hollywood Live on Monday morning, the reality star turned fashion designer stopped by to talk about her new book, The Fame Game, as well as her fashion lines, and of course, dating! After breaking up with Kyle Howard, her actor beau of three years, in 2011, the 26-year-old has been linked to a string celebs such as Dancing with the Stars pro Derek Hough, Teen Wolf hunk Colton Haynes and Gossip Girl‘s Chace Crawford.

However, LC does admit to being “in a relationship” — but with who, you ask?

Her book! She said:

“I don’t know, I mean I’m so busy right now. Honestly I’m in a relationship with my novels, and I’m so happy with it. I’m always open [to relationships], but I’m not really looking, if that makes sense.”

Lauren also admits she’s not a gal who “kisses on the first date.”

“You want something really sweet and pretty but you want to bring in a little bit of a cool factor,” Lauren tells the mag about her personal style.”Being sexy is picking one thing to show off, whether it’s your shoulders or if you want to wear a shorter skirt.”

What does the 26-year-old reality star and author say about flaunting some of your best assets?

“I always say if you’ve got it, flaunt it, be proud of your body,” she says. “You can definitely go too far with cleavage, you don’t want it to be the first thing people notice but I think a little bit of cleavage is fine.”

The fashionista continues to work on her ever growing fashion line and has just released her fourth novel, The Fame Game.

“On the vacation to Cabo, I wore a bathing suit on the beach for the first time in years. Usually I’m just petrified. A couple of years ago someone zoomed in on my cellulite and it was so mean. I took it really personally. I haven’t worn a bathing suit in L.A. in years because of that.”

Pulling back the curtain on her time on Laguna Beach and The Hills, Lauren reveals there were a lot of “secrets” that went into making a reality show.

“During shooting, the producers would send us quick text messages telling us what to talk about. They couldn’t walk through the shot, so they’d just text me, like, ‘Say something quick about this story line.’ That’s why we were always checking our phones!” she revealed.

She added: “They cut and paste together these voiceovers. But you have to know that these poor editors have to make something out of nothing sometimes, because so much money goes into every shoot.”

The grand opening was held at the duel birthday celebration for Sophia Rossi, producer and co-founder of HelloGiggles.com and Liz Meriwether, executive producer of the new hit show New Girl.

 Zooey, who hosted the event, was joined by New Girl cast members Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris, Jake Johnson, Hannah Simone and friends including director Eli Roth, The Office‘s Rashida Jones, Ed Helms, BJ Novak, Mindy Kaling, Aziz Ansari and Ellie Kemper. CougarTown‘s Busy Phillips even who serenaded the gals with ‘Happy Birthday’ as they blew out the candles on their Rock & Rilley’s birthday cake!

Life & Style reports that she broke up with him, with a friend saying, “It was always casual.”

Meanwhile, Wetpaint Entertainment reports that he has moved on to Sober House manager Jennifer Gimenez. The two were said to be getting down at a party at LA’s Roosevelt hotel on October 29.

“He was all over her,” a second eyewitness who was at the Roosevelt tells us. “He was dancing sexily with her and pulling her close. They were very touchy-feely. They looked like a lot more than just friends.”

The show was held at the London Hotel in Hollywood, California, where LC paired her sexy form-fitting dress with nude heels and a matching bag. The 25-year-old was also front row for the event and enjoyed all of its festivities. She even shared a few photos from the event on Twitter.

Perhaps the bestselling author’s night on the town came as a celebration after her recent announcement, in which she revealed her new book cover and announced that she will be releasing a new beauty product.

The reality star slash designer slash best-selling book author revealed the cover of her new book — and is asking fans to help out with her next one!

She says: “In addition to The Fame Game series, I am also working on another book: Lauren Conrad BEAUTY! Like Lauren Conrad Style, my beauty book will be your ultimate guide for all things beauty.”

LC says she needs her fans to help her out with this one. She’s taking comments on her blog to address any questions about hair, makeup, skincare, manicures — anything beauty related — so she can answer them in the upcoming tome.

What we really want to know is — what’s up with Lauren and Derek Hough? The two have been spotted getting pretty close over the past few weeks, most recently at Beso restaurant and Tru nightclub on a possible date night.

They rumored couple spent the night with friend, but sources say they only had eyes for each other! One club goer told People that the two were very affectionate, dancing together and kissing.

Rumors of the two reality stars dating started swirling after they were first spotted together in September. Since then, Lauren and Derek have been seen at  multiple LA hotspots: The Playhouse, The Roosevelt Hotel and The Sayer’s Club.

Lauren and Lo looked like BFFs again as they posted for photos together on the red carpet. Lauren was dressed in a pink top, white shorts and black bag, while Lo donned a white-printed top and a long pink skirt.

Lauren, of course, left The Hills after season 5, when her feud with former BFF Heidi Montag reached a breaking point. She’s since written a number of bestselling novels, and has been linked to such Hollywood beaus as Kyle Howard and Derek Hough.

“I would say I’m in the middle of something,” Haynes told Celebuzz when we asked if he would consider himself single or in a relationship.

When asked about Lauren in particular:

“You know,” Colton said with a big grin, “we’re friends.”

“I like down to earth, I like fun, I like someone who is just gonna, you know, hang out and be low key,” Haynes told reporters about what characteristics he looks for in a mate.

Now- onto Teen Wolf season two, which picks up in November:

“There will be lots of transformations, everyone says that about their shows…my character is going to come in and tear into it all.”

“It’s funny, that is going to be amped up a lot,” Haynes told E! Online about season two’s sex factor. “My character in particular is going to have a lot of fun.”

“We can’t [on MTV]! But we’re definitely going to push that limit. You know- there will be a towel.”

No complaints here! And we’re sure Lauren Conrad feels the same way.

Colton later dropped by the 3.1 Phillip Lim event with his costar Holland Roden in West Hollywood. He and his leading lady checked out the fashions, sipped on Deleon drinks and enjoyed the sounds of the band Cults, who performed live for the crowd.

The only thing blue about the newly single Hills star on Wednesday night was her hair. The fashionista stepped out with blue tips to compliment her blonde locks at the HTC Status Social, pairing her semi-wild locks with a simple minidress. 

However, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen colorful streaks this year.

“It didn’t feel like a perfect fit. It’s difficult to compete with all the Jersey Shore-type shows out there.”

She added, taking a little jab at the MTV programming:

“Besides, there weren’t any scenes of me getting drunk or fighting, so what’s the point?”

As for the hurdle she has of launching Paper Crown without the publicity from a reality show, Lauren responds, “It’s easier to launch the line without MTV. A lot of people in fashion don’t want to be linked with anything that has to do with reality TV. Showrooms were turning us down.”

She said of her time on camera as the leading lady of The Hills, “I was doing the show to end up in fashion. But I’m totally aware that without The Hills, I wouldn’t be where I am.”
