Alas, Lil Wayne has put rumors to rest about what landed him in the hospital — epilepsy.

Earlier this month, the Grammy-winning rapper suffered multiple seizures that led to a six-day stay at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif. During his treatment, the rumor mill churned out headline-hitting reports, some speculating he was near death in the ICU and other suggesting the health scare was sparked by a Sizzurp binge. But now Weezy is setting the record straight.

“This isn’t my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I’ve had a bunch of seizures, ya’ll just never hear about them,” he told L.A. radio station Power 106. “But this time it got real bad.”

“I had three of them in a row and on the third one, my heart rate went down to like 30 percent,” he explained. “Basically, I could’ve died soon.”

Lil Wayne even dispelled speculation that the seizures were brought on by Sizzurp, a concoction of prescription-strength cough syrup with codeine and a sugary soda. “The reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest and overworking myself,” he continued. “That’s typical me, though.”

On the heels of his hospital release, Lil Wayne had assured fans he’s “more than good,” just days before he dropped I Am Not A Human Being II, his second installment in the album series.

“I just want to say thank you to all ya’ll for ya’ll prayers and your concerns and all that,” said Wayne, who appeared to be in a hotel room in a 90-second clip posted to TMZ. “I swear to God I felt that love when I was laid up in that motherf***in’ hospital bed. But I want all ya’ll to know that I’m good…more than good.”

Just days after being released from the hospital after suffering a series of seizures, Lil Wayne has already bounced back.

In a video released Friday on TMZ, the “How to Love” lyricist assures his fans that he is “more than good” after being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif., during his six-day stay.

“I just want to say thank you to all ya’ll for ya’ll prayers and your concerns and all that,” says
 Wayne, who appears to be in a hotel room in the 90-second clip, which he recorded Wednesday. “I swear to God I felt that love when I was laid up in that motherf***in’ hospital bed. But I want all ya’ll to know that I’m good…more than good.”

And Weezy — who smiles his way through the video while waving around a red lollipop — isn’t letting the health scare set back his schedule.

“Also my bomb-a** album is still coming out March 26 — I Am Not A Human Being II,” a bright-eyed Wayne boasts, confirming his second installment in the album series. “I’m still going on tour, America’s Most Wanted,” he adds, which will see him on stage with “some of my closest friends in the game.”

Then T.I. comes out to join him in the clip, saying, “Look, you good. I’m good. We good. It’s all good. Ain’t nothin’ to it.” The rapper raves that he’ll still be with Weezy on the tour, which kicks off on July 5 this summer. “Get you some barbecue on the 4th and holla at us on the 5th,” Tip exclaims. 

“Kiss my fist,” Wayne says before wrapping the video on a serious note: “I’m more than good, but thank you for real. Thank you to all y’all out there for your prayers. I’m more than good. I swear to God, thank you.”

UPDATE 9:02 PM PST: Lil Wayne has been released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles within the last hour, according to TMZ. After six days in the hospital the rapper was moved out of the Intensive Care Unit Monday afternoon.

Wayne spent 6 days in the hospital — most of it in the Intensive Care Unit — after suffering what appears to be a drug OD that triggered a series of massive seizures.

Lil Wayne has been moved out of the Intensive Care Unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and is said to be resting comfortably.

Doctors have determined the 30-year-old, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., is in a stable condition, according to TMZ.

“Wayne has been moved into a ‘regular room’ at the hospital and no longer needs intense, round-the-clock treatment after a suspected codeine overdose last week,” the site reported.

Sources told the website that Wayne is walking around the hospital floor on his own and eating.

He “could even be discharged from the hospital in the near future,” the site reported.

As Celebuzz previously reported, Lil Wayne was admitted to Cedars-Sinai and was released on Wednesday, but readmitted a few hours later after his bodyguard found him unconscious on the floor of his room.

Hours after the news broke, his record label, Young Money Entertainment, issued a statement.

“Lil Wayne is certainly OK at this moment and appreciates everyone’s prayers and support, just as he posted via Twitter,” a Young Money publicist confirmed to Celebuzz.

CNN reports that a friend said Saturday night after visiting him: “He’s good, just resting.”

Hours after news broke of Lil Wayne’s hospitalization and a tweet supposedly written by the rapper that trumped all conflicting reports of his condition, Young Money Entertainment has issued a statement.

“Lil Wayne is certainly OK at this moment and appreciates everyone’s prayers and support, just as he posted via Twitter,” a Young Money publicist confirmed to Celebuzz Friday night.

CNN reports that Drake was spotted visiting his label mate at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A. late Friday night, along with an “entourage” of the artist’s friends. The group reportedly pulled up chairs near Lil Wayne’s room and set up a vigil.

Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., made huge headlines Friday afternoon after TMZ reported that he was in “critical condition” after suffering a seizure.

Less than one hour later, Cash Money president Mack Maine shot down some of TMZ’s claims, and added that, “Wayne is alive and well! We watching the Syracuse game.”

As tracked by CB!, Birdman re-tweeted the statement, “Shame on you @TMZ anything to make a couple $$$$$” in the next hour.

Then minutes later, Lil Wayne himself took to Twitter to write, “I’m good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love,” which has since been re-tweeted more than 166,000 times.

There were conflicting reports about the health of Lil Wayne late on Friday.

Despite claims that he’s in ICU in critical condition after suffering yet another seizure, his friend and fellow rapper Mack Maine insisted Lil Wayne, 30, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., was watching a basketball game on Friday night.

He tweeted:

TMZ reported, however, that Lil Wayne — a native of New Orleans – was admitted to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles and was released on Wednesday, but readmitted a few hours later after his bodyguard found him unconscious on the floor of his room.

“Wayne’s mother is currently on a plane flying to Los Angeles — and we’re told all major decisions about Wayne’s health (including the decision to discontinue life support) will not be made until she arrives,” the site reported.

Maine’s “alive and well” message was retweeted by Nicki Minaj, Birdman and Jay Sean.

He also criticized TMZ, complaining it deceived fans and the site tried “to kill a man before his time.”

Earlier, the media outlet claimed Wayne had been “given his last rites” with family and friends surrounding him Friday. However, that reporting has since been removed.

Lil Wayne is in “critical condition” at Los Angeles’ Cedar Sinai Hospital, according to TMZ.

The 30-year-old was admitted into the ICU on Tuesday evening after suffering from multiple seizures originally, but was re-admitted after bodyguards found him in his room shaking uncontrollably on his floor and unconscious.

According to reports, he was unable to be stabilized by the ICU and has been “given his last rites” with family and friends surrounding him on Friday evening.

Reports also speculate that the rapper has been placed on a medically-induced coma and is breathing through tubes after he  was in need of stabilization upon arriving at Cedars Sinai.

Sources have told TMZ that there is evidence of Lil Wayne going on a “Sizzurp binge” after he was released from the hospital on Wednesday.

Doctors apparently found high amounts of codeine in his system and needed his stomach pumped three times when he was admitted.

In the magazine’s annual accounting of hip-hop’s top earners, Dr. Dre has taken the crown for 2012, triumphing over reigning ruler Jay-Z. But rapper-producer Dre didn’t land the No. 1 spot through his revered work in the recording studio.

After not releasing a record in over a decade, Dre was primed for a comeback with Detox. But as the long-awaited album still sits on the shelf, the hip-hop mogul shifted focus to his highly-lucrative Beats By Dr. Dre venture, which produced wildly popular earphones. The company now sells more than half of the country’s premium headphones (costing $100 and up), according to Forbes.

So how much has Dre’s money-making endeavor earned him?

Beats By Dr. Dre boosted his bank account by a whopping $100 million pretax, which accounts for nearly all of his reported $110 earnings.

What other stars pulled in the most money in the past year? P. Diddy took No. 2 on Forbes‘ list with $45 million, most of which he earned through his share of profits from Diageo’s Ciroc vodka.

In third place is Jay-Z, who is bringing home the bacon for wife Beyonce and their baby girl Blue Ivy.

Does Nicki Minaj really lean to the right?

That’s what the rapper-singer implies in her verse on Lil Wayne’s latest mixtape, Dedication 4.

“I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney,” Minaj raps in the song released over the weekend. “You lazy b-tches is f—g up the economy.”

But is she speaking the truth or just spewing some sarcasm?

Minaj has previously delved into politics, calling on President Barack Obama to expand coverage under his health care law.

“Just give FREE health care to all. @BarackObama what can we do?” Minaj tweeted in June. “@BarackObama I wouldn’t mind the millions they took if it was going to healthcare. Why should a poor person struggle to pay for MEDS sir?”

But just how literal is Minaj’s lyricism? The rapper often blurs the line between reality and fantasy for the sake of a catchy rhyme — such as in the very next line of the track, when Minaj spits, “Out in Miami, I be chillin’ with a zombie.”

Fellow rapper Talib Kweli certainly doesn’t think Minaj is choosing the Romney-Ryan ticket. “I doubt Nicki seriously supports Romney,” he wrote on Twitter. “Her lyrics ain’t political. She just wants y’all to talk about her & she winning cuz it’s working!”

On November 4, Lil Wayne emerged after eight months in Rikers Island prison in New York after being released early for good behavior and after having gained considerable expertise at the card game Uno.

“I’d bust a n***a’s a** at Uno,” Weezy told Rolling Stone during his first major post-prison interview. “We gamble for phone time. I’d take n***a’s commissary: Lemme get them cookies, lemme get them chips, get that soup.”

In time, his dominance at the game was a source of fear for the other inmates, who wanted to keep their stuff. ”They’d be like, ‘Oh, we thought you were asleep,’” said Wayne. “Like you can’t look inside my cell and see that I’m right there! We ain’t got no doors!”

Prison afforded the rapper time to slow down and enjoy some light reading, specifically biographies by other rock stars. He read books on Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Marvin Gaye, Joan Jett, Vince Lombardi and Anthony Kiedis while alone in his cell.

“[Kiedis'] Scar Tissue was really good,” he remarked. “I also read the Bible for the first time. It was deep! I liked the parts where some character was once this, but he ended up being that. Like he’d be dissing Jesus, and then he ends up being a saint. That was cool.”

Although released early, Wayne’s last month behind bars was spent in solitary because guards caught him with an iPod charger, but he’s glad that’s all they caught him with. At that same time, he had a watch with an mp3 player inside it, but another inmate named Charles took the fall.

“He was a solid n***a,” says Wayne. “Shout-out to Charles…Solitary was the worst. No TV. No radio. No commissary. Basically you’re in there 23 hours a day.”

But he did have a window in solitary. “I used to sit at that motherf***er all day,” he said.
