Finally, here it is! The new “We Are The World” remake, recorded last week in LA at Henson Studios that premiered at last night’s Winter Olympic Ceremony. After you get over the fact that Baby Biebs opens the song, get ready for solos from artists like Pink, Adam Levine, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Nick Jonas, and, oh yes, Lil Wayne. Ooooh…and just wait for the rap at the end. It’s interesting, to say the least.

Holy all-star tributes!

TMZ reports that John Mayer, Usher and Whitney Houston are collaborating on a cover of Michael Jackson‘s 1993 single “Will You Be There” for charity. Also involved with the project are Dionne Warwick, Lionel Richie, Jermaine Jackson and Larry King‘s wife Shawn, who’s leading the charge on the tribute.

The proceeds from the song will be split between the Larry King Cardiac Foundation and an as-yet-undisclosed charity close to the deceased singer.

Is Nicole Richie in any rush to get married? 

The expectant mother says she likes things just the way they are with boyfriend Joel Madden and daughter Harlow Winter Kate. Nicole appeared on Larry King Live last night with her father Lionel Richie and opened up about her personal life. 

When Larry King asked Nicole when she was planning on getting hitched, she responded, “Of course when I was a little girl, you dream about getting married, and that is definitely a dream of mine one day. Right now, we’re really, really focused on our family, we’re focused on our foundation, and as far as feeling that need of commitment, we both really have that in each other.”

And as far as the rumors that Nicole and Joel are expecting a boy, they’re not true! Nicole doesn’t even know the sex of the baby! ”We want the surprise…what is there really to plan? I’ll get the clothes after.”

However, Lionel is definitely hoping for a grandson. “Joel and I are having powwows,” he said. Nicole added, “You should hear them prepping each other.”

Nicole Richie may not be appearing on Gossip Girl anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean that the 27-year-old won’t be coming to a small screen in the near future.

Star Magazine reports that the Simple Life alum has signed on for a family-oriented reality-TV series about her efforts to juggle motherhood and career.

Even better, Richie’s boyfriend, 29-year-old Good Charlotte vocalist Joel Madden, Joel’s twin brother/bandmate (and Paris Hilton ex) Benji Madden, Nicole’s adoptive father Lionel Richie and her one-year-old daughter Harlow have also signed on for the as-yet-untitled project.

(No word on what kind of concessions were required to obtain Harlow’s participation; solid-gold baby bottle, perhaps?)

“Nicole wants the world to know what it’s like to be a working mom with a rock star boyfriend,” a source tells the magazine.

It’s uncertain how this new project will affect Richie’s duties as head of the House of Harlow 1960 jewelry line, let alone her many charitable efforts.

This is the third Richie-related TV project that’s been said to be in development in recent months. Also supposedly in the works is a reality series in which Richie looks for the next version of herself, and a TV adaptation of her semi-biographical novel The Truth About Diamonds.

Hollywood loves a winner, so it’s no surprise that the show-biz elite turned out in droves  at the Staples Center last night to watch the L.A. Lakers trounce the San Antonio Spurs in game five of the NBA Western Conference finals.

The many luminaries in attendance included Cameron Diaz, Antonio Banderas and Jeffrey Katzenberg in a veritable Shrek-topia, Zohan-ready Adam Sandler Lionel Richie, Denzel Washington, George Lopez, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Dr. Dre, who all apparently brought luck with them.

Not so lucky: Eva Longoria, whose cheers for her hubby, Spurs point guard Tony Parker, failed to put San Antonio over the top. Maybe he was distracted by all that cleavage he knows so well.

Ha-ha, chumps! Better luck next year, Eva and Tony!
