Fans got an extended dose of the Roloffs with their weekly series, Little People, Big World: Wedding Farm, but that left us wanting more, right?

Don’t fret! Celebuzz can exclusively share that TLC will be airing a new Little People, Big World special titled Little People, Big World: Conquering Mount St. Helens.” It premieres on Tuesday, March 19 at 10PM.

We’ve certainly witnessed the Roloffs move mountains in the past — figuratively, of course. But on the upcoming special, the family takes on an actual mountain.

Now that three of the Roloff kids have moved out, Matt and Amy have a lot of time on their hands. Feeling restless and needing a challenge, Amy conceives a bold idea: to climb Mount St. Helens. It won’t be easy. Over the steep five-mile route, the trail gains 4500 vertical feet, and the most strenuous portions are compounded by boulder fields and shifting volcanic ash. When Amy shares her plan with Matt, he tries to talk her out of doing the climb. But Amy’s undeterred; she enlists Zach to join her, and trains rigorously. Matt, meanwhile, decides to cheer up Amy by surprising her with a one-room schoolhouse he’ll build himself.

Amy enjoys spending quality time with Zach, and after a month of training, they head out for the climb. On Day 1, Amy struggles to keep up on the trail. On Day 2, the climb intensifies as Amy confronts endless boulders blocking her path. With each step upward, Amy has to overcome her nagging feelings of self-doubt. Next, faced with loose, slippery volcanic ash, she must summon all her strength to fight the urge to quit. Matt, meanwhile, finishes the schoolhouse, but when he starts to move it to Western Town, it collides with the barn door and nearly loses its roof. As Matt races to put the schoolhouse in place and Amy persistently trudges toward the summit, it’s apparent neither one is ready to slow down yet.

Well, it was bound to happen at some point. Zach Roloff may be a late bloomer, but he’s blooming nonetheless. On the next episode of TLC’s Little People, Big World, he has some big news for his parents.

And Celebuzz has an exclusive preview.

It could just be the most ambitious wedding Matt and Amy Roloff have ever taken on. Can they transform their rustic farm into an island oasis? And, of course, Matt takes it a step further by wanting to build a working volcano… We can see Amy’s disapproving face already.

Amid all this wedding bustle, Zach delivers his big news. Will Matt and Amy be supportive?

Little People, Big World fans have been really excited about the Roloff family returning to weekly series television. That day is here. The first episode of Little People, Big World: Wedding Farm airs Tuesday at 9 PM on TLC.

Matt and Amy Roloff stopped by Celebuzz’s Hollywood studio to talk about their latest adventure.

“I think so far it’s been positive,” Matt told us of the fan reaction after Celebuzz was the first to report about their new season.

“Oh, it’s always positive. People are always shocked to see us,” Amy adds. “Then, they feel like they’re telling us their stories because they’ve heard ours. It’s all been Wonderful.”

On Wedding Farm, the couple decides to embark on a whole new business. Utilizing some newly purchased land, Matt leads the charge to start an event business. And when TLC got word, they quickly jumped on board.

“We’ve always talked about doing weddings on the farm, so let’s do weddings,” Matt explains of the decision. “So, when TLC called one day to chat, ‘What are you guys up to?’ And we said we’re doing weddings, [they said,] ‘Weddings? We love weddings!’”

The couple thought they would just do one wedding as they got their feet wet and prepped the farm, and then TLC pitched the idea of doing 12. In the end, they landed on four weddings.

In addition to the new business, life continues on for the Roloff clan. Their only daughter, Molly, graduates from high school. But don’t worry, fans can expect their kids to drop by during the season.

Little People, Big World fans, if you’ve been craving more of the Roloffs, we have huge news for you.

Celebuzz can report exclusively that the Roloffs are coming back to the network with a new weekly series, Little People, Big World: Wedding Farm, premiering its first of six one hour episodes on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 9 PM on TLC.

Produced by Gay Rosenthal Productions, the new series follows Matt Roloff and his wife, Amy Roloff, as they embark on a new wedding venue business in which they restore a barn on part of the additional 75 acres of land viewers watched them purchase on their Oregon farm on a recent special.

“This was not something where TLC came and said, ‘Let’s do this and that,’ ”  Matt tells Celebuzz exclusively. “This was a business plan that we put together during our off time from the show. And this was how we were going to justify the purchase of the investment of that farm.”

What else did Matt and Amy tell us about their new business venture and return to a weekly series?

“It was something Amy and I thought we could collaborate on well together,” Matt explains of the new business. “I like to build projects.”

“I have the hospitality hosting,” Amy adds. “And I can help with people’s ideas and really getting them to utilize the venue. That’s an advantage for a big event.”

“It’s just been fun to collaborate and have things that we can work together on now that the kids are moving on down the road,” Matt also points out.

The couple says the production came together fairly quickly. “We were just going to see how it would work, how it would turn out,” says Amy, 48. “It was kind of like a trial by error. And then TLC ran with it.”

“It got back to the basics of what we used to do in the early days of the show,” Matt, 50, adds. “TLC was able to mobilize very quickly and were able to get in here really quickly, during the restore of the barn… and to make a big mud hole into a venue.”

Even though TLC has aired several LPBW specials since the original series ended in December 2010, shooting a weekly series took a little getting used to for the family.

“Yeah, I think it was something to get back into on a weekly basis and kind of organize all these different schedules around and stuff,” Amy explains. “It certainly takes about a couple of days and then it’s like, ‘Oh, yeah, this is what we used to do.’ ”

The couple points out the experience of creating a wedding venue was very different as their kids start their own young adult lives.

“That’s probably one of the hardest things and one of the reasons we decided to use this portion of the farm for weddings, because it’s something Matt and I can probably handle and do,” Amy says. “We don’t necessarily need the kids around here all the time. But when they’re able to help out, it’s great.”

On the new series, Jeremy Roloff, 22, visits several times from college and even utilizes what he’s learned as the photographer for a few weddings. His fraternal twin brother, Zachary Roloff (the only little person of the four children) continues to find his own career path and his way through his first major romantic relationship. Molly Roloff, 19, graduates from high school and prepares to go off for college. And the youngest, 15-year-old Jacob Roloff, will become the only child to live at home without his siblings.

“The Roloff family continues with life-changing moments in their own lives in addition to making them for someone else,” Amy, whose first cookbook, Short and Simple Family Recipes, was released this month, points out.

“It’s not like Amy and I are over the hill at 50,” Matt says. “Amy and I both have a renewed sense of passion and excitement about what we’re doing. We’re doing it together and it has been a really, really interesting turn of events for us.”

Ah, yes, we should also point out that Matt and Amy will be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. That should come as a comfort for those who worried about the state of the couple’s relationship when the original series ended.

“I think when you realize the amount of years that you’ve been together,” Amy tells us of how they got over the rough patch in their marriage. “You’ve definitely had your good times and bad times, you know up the hill and down the hill, but in the end it’s a life shared together. We’ve done some really great things and let’s find some ways to keep that going.”

“Who said the troubles are over, anyway?” Matt interjects with his characteristic sarcastic humor.

TLC will also continue to produce standalone specials with the family, which have so far averaged 1.5 million viewers, beyond this new series.

The family gives their viewers a unique peek into a world most of us have not have experienced before. All the while, their family attempts to adjust their world to fit to what they’ve been told is typical.

What new lesson is learned in Australia?

With Molly departing for college soon and Jeremy already at school, the family decides to take a once-in-a-lifetime trip together to The Outback. In Australia, the family meets up with some ex-pat friends and Zach begins to realize that maybe romance doesn’t always have to fit a mold.

“When you see this commercial with the perfect family or anything, usually it’s the guy is taller and the wife’s there. That’s just how we’ve advertised the perfect family,” Zach points out.

At dinner with Victor, whose relationship mirrors his own, he sees the confidence Victor has not only in himself but also his relationship.

He looks on with admiration, continuing, “For me and Tory it’s inspiring. We never really meet any couple that’s out of the social norm. They took time to get to know each other. Both of them just didn’t just write each other off because, ‘Oh we’re different so it’s not going to work.’ ”
