Rumors of the two reality stars dating started swirling after they were first spotted together in September. Since then, Lauren and Derek have been seen at  multiple LA hotspots: The Playhouse, The Roosevelt Hotel and The Sayer’s Club.

Lauren and Lo looked like BFFs again as they posted for photos together on the red carpet. Lauren was dressed in a pink top, white shorts and black bag, while Lo donned a white-printed top and a long pink skirt.

Lauren, of course, left The Hills after season 5, when her feud with former BFF Heidi Montag reached a breaking point. She’s since written a number of bestselling novels, and has been linked to such Hollywood beaus as Kyle Howard and Derek Hough.

Life & Style reports that former Hills star Lauren “Lo” Bosworth has broken up with her boyfriend, Starz Lacrosse founder Scott Hochstadt. The pair began dating in 2009.

A friend of the former couple notes that the break-up had been weeks in the making:

“It happened Tuesday morning, although they’ve been talking about it for over a month now. They’re in different places in their lives, and they just hit a crossroads in their relationship.”

The friend further suggests that Hochstadt might not have been enamored with Bosworth as he was with the spotlight:

“I’m not sure if Scott was in the right relationship for the right reasons. It didn’t hurt that Lo was famous and had famous friends. I don’t know if Scott loved Lo so much as he loved the fame. Things had been bad for a while now.”

Prospects were considerably sunnier for the couple over the summer, when Bosworth wrote on her Web site, The Lo Down, that she was thrilled to move in with him:

“I’m just excited. He’s the guy, so I can’t really be happier than that!”

After six glorious seasons, The Hills finally came to an end on Tuesday night. Over the past few years, the reality show has come under fire for faking relationships, scripting dialogue, and creating drama. All of the hubbub eventually led producers to call the hit MTV show “scripted reality” instead of simply a “reality show.”

While the show never acknowledged the rising fame of its stars (which in turn undermined a lot of the story lines) viewers finally got a chance to see the show acknowledge the blurry line between reality and make believe in the wonderful final scene of the series.

In the scene, Kristin Cavallari and Brody Jenner (who dated in real life before The Hills) share a tender embrace. Kristin gets into a car and bids Brody farewell while the Hills hunk broods in a perfectly sun-dappled scene. Sounds a little too perfect, right? Well, it is, as you find out in the final moments.

The picture quality of the video below isn’t great (it was recorded on someone’s phone as they were watching the finale) but it still gives you a sense of what was going on.

While Audirna says that she doesn’t believe it since “they’re inseparable and in love,” Lo is more realistic as to the reason behind the fake split: “I’ve worked with them for too long, and they haven’t been filming, so I think this is a way they think they can get back on the show for the last few episodes.”

Meanwhile, Whitney Port, former Hills star and current star of The City, says that she “doubts” that the two have parted ways and that she’s “sure they’re still sticking together.”

It looks like we can finally chalk up Heidi and Spencer’s split as being nothing but a publicity stunt.

Kristin Cavallari and Lo Bosworth met up to eat and film some scenes for their show, and then met up again, wearing different outfits and a different restaurant to eat and film some scenes for their show. But how were they able to make it look like they were meeting up on two separate days when they really only filmed on one day? Hills magic, of course!

Now, LimeLife reports, Heidi has decided to peruse legal action against Adam as well as MTV.

New details from the case have emerged, including that the event only happened a few weeks ago and how the alleged incident took place. According to a source:

Adam came up to her from behind and grabbed her with one hand on her stomach and one hand directly on her butt cheek… Heidi had six bodyguards with her. They took his hand off her and moved him away from the situation.

Wait, The Situation was there?

Apparently Heidi emailed the production team to talk about the situation but no one responded to her. After going public with the story yesterday, Heidi has decided to now take legal action.

We hope Heidi is taking the accusations that she is loading on Adam very seriously because she could get in a whole mess of trouble if it turns out that she was doing this for a publicity stunt.

More MTV stars have come forward to defend Adam. Lo Bosworth tweeted that “no one” on the Hills set had ever been assaulted or harassed and called Heidi’s accusations “slander.” The City‘s Roxy Olin told Crushable that the accusations were “shocking” and sounded very “out of character” of Adam (we’re assuming not out of character for Heidi). Roxy also went on to say that Adam was “very much a father figure” and that he was “nothing but professional.”

However, an insider tells Life &Style that Adam would use his position on the show to get close to the young women and that it was an open secret that “you had to stroke [Adam's] ego to get a big role on his shows.”

Sounds like a nasty situation. We don’t know who to believe but considering that Heidi is going the legal route we guess we will soon find out who is telling the truth and who is a liar.
