Britney Spears‘ mother Lynne Spears was seen taking her three grandchildren, Sean Preston, 5, Jayden James, 4, and Jamie Lynn Spears‘ 2-year-old daughter Maddie swimming at their hotel pool in Dallas on Tuesday afternoon.

Lynne may be in her mid-50s, but was looking just as good as ladies practically half her age!

Wearing a flattering black one-piece, Lynne and the kids look like they had a blast while Brit rehearsed for her Dallas show.

Brit tweeted about Tuesday’s show, replying to a fan:

“Aww u know I love Dallas too… -Brit RT @matthewdunn3 WOOO THANK YOU FOR THE AMAZING SHOW BRITNEY!!! I LOVE YOU GUUURL. DALLAS LOVES YOU TOO!”

Well, at least her kids.

Us Magazine reports that Sean Preston and Jayden James were shielded from the bawdier moments during the March 3 debut of the Circus tour in New Orleans.

An eyewitness reports that Sean and Jayden, 3 and 2 years old respectively, did indeed cheer on their mom from a private suite with their family when the show began.

“The group was telling the boys, ‘There’s Mommy! Clap for Mommy!’” the source reports.

But when it came to the raunchier segments of the performance—the tassles, the writhing, the simulated sex, the fondling of half-naked dancers—the tots were ushered away from the scene by their grandmother, Lynne Spears.

Whew; that’s a relief! Hopefully Lynne was around to whisk the kids away when Spears experienced her unfortunate wardrobe malfunction at her Tampa show on Sunday.

People magazine reports that 34-year-old Lutfi filed a lawsuit against Britney and her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears, for defamation and breach of contract in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Court papers filed by Lutfi—who claims that he’s suffered libel, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress at the hands of the Spears clan—say that “Jamie and Lynne launched a campaign of lies and intimidation designed to destroy Lutfi and drive him out of Britney’s life…This campaign also provided Jamie with the opportunity he needed to obtain an appointment as Britney’s conservator.”

Lutfi takes particular issue with Lynne Spears’ autobiography Through the Storm, published last year. Lutfi’s suit claims that the book damaged his reputation with allegations about Lutfi’s control over Britney. “Since the publication of the book, Lutfi has been subjected to unfathomable amounts of ridicule and scorn” and has “received numerous death threats from overzealous fans,” the suit claims.

As for the breach of contract claims, Lutfi alleges that he had an oral contract with Britney which granted him 15 percent of her earnings for his managerial work. Lufti cites an alleged text message he received from Britney on October 13, 2007, stating, “sam, so thats fine, i want you to be my manager, you were right its 15 percent of my money but for 4 years not 5.” Lutfi says that he hasn’t received any payment at all for his managing stint.

The lawsuit is just the latest volley in the legal war between the Lutfi and Spears camps; Jamie Spears filed a new restraining order against Lufti last Friday, accusing him of harassing the Spears family.

A source tells the mag that, when she first became pregnant at 16 and started packing on the pounds, Spears begged her mother Lynne to allow her to undergo liposuction treatment.

“She didn’t know she was pregnant when she filled out the health questionnaire prior to the procedure,” another mole reveals. “Her mom approved the injections and went through tons of red tape to get the clinic to administer them to an underage patient.”

Now the former Zoey 101 star, currently 17, is said to be worried about what effect the procedure might have had on her five-month-old daughter, and rightfully so.

“Any form of liposuction is dangerous and should not be performed on a pregnant woman,” Dr. Gary Burton, a plastic surgeon, explains to the magazine. “It poses serious health risks to the fetus.”

Luckily, Maddie appears to be a perfectly healthy child, and Mom appears to have slimmed down to her pre-pregnancy weight, presumably without a surgeon’s assistance.

“I do like Kevin,” she confessed, “he’s been good to us.”

Lynne announced her gratitude to K Fed, given Britney’s trails and tribulations over the past two years amid divorce and custody issues.

“He could’ve been a real pill about a lot of things, but he wasn’t…. He worked with us, and I think he’s tried to make things good for the boys.”

And what of her own children? Is she happy with the way they turned out, and what it took to achieve their success?

“There were certain things that I would do again, of course…. But I would always hope that my children would fulfill their dreams. And these were my children’s dreams.”

According to Entertainment Wise, Brit-Brit’s parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears, are trying to impose a six-month sex ban on the 26-year-old singer in hopes of preventing any snags in her planned comeback.

The concerned parents allegedly blame Spears’ choices in relationships for her recent personal troubles, a viewpoint that probably has some degree of merit.

“Jamie and Lynne feel she’s so close to cracking the big time again that they don’t want anything to get in her way,” says a supposed family friend. “They’re desperate to ensure that it won’t happen again. Their worst nightmare is that she gets involved with someone else who’s just trying to use her for her money or to further their own career.”

Perhaps this explains Britney’s recent interest in more wholesome diversions. But given Lynne’s previous allegations about her daughter’s carnal tendencies, it really remains to be seen if she can go the whole six months.

TMZ reports that Lance Armstong, on the verge of renouncing his retirement from competitive cycling, is reportedly planning on purchasing the French company that owns the Tour De France. The purchase is reportedly designed to combat rumors that Armstrong has used steroids in the past.

Us reports that Dane Cook has given up battling eviction from his Los Angeles apartment after other tenants complained that he wasn’t cleaning up his dog mess. He previously filed court papers citing that he needed to stay in the complex due to his idols John Belushi and Steve Martin once having lived there. Cook paid for damages, and is now living in a $7 million home in the Hollywood Hills.

People reports that Britney Spears’ six-bedroom, six-bathroom Studio City, Calif., home is being sold with an asking price of $7.9 million. Britney lived in the house for less than two years, and is reportedly considering a house to purchase in Calabasas, CA.

Hip-hop artist DMX was brought to an Aventura, Florida emergency room on Tuesday for “fear of a stroke,” according to TMZ. DMX was scheduled to make a courtroom appearance in Arizona that day. The rapper has had multiple arrests and prison stays this year for a variety of charges, including animal cruelty and drug possession.

Lynne’s impressions of Brit’s rise to fame: “Everything is fabulous. Look at the wonderful trips she gets to go on. Look at the wonderful people she’s meeting.”

When Viera pressed Lynne to explain why she let Jaimie enter the business that had laid waste to her sister, the Mom of the year had this to say: “When Jamie Lynn got involved in it, that was during the honeymoon period of Britney’s career, when everything was coming up roses… Everything was just fun.”

Speaking of fun, here’s Lynne’s reaction to the news that 16-year-old Jaimie was knocked-up: “I was in shock. I think I was just truly in shock, and then I started to cry. And she started consoling me at that point.”

At least someone was taking care of Lynne for once!

“It was so shocking, so disturbing to see that girl with such despondency in her eyes—it broke my heart in a million pieces,” Lynne writes in Through The Storm—A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World about seeing Britney looking like a Manson Family member on her TV.

Lynne says that Britney didn’t speak to her for seven months, and even accused her of siding with her ex-husband Kevin Federline over custody of Britney and K-Fed’s kids and sleeping with him, reports The Sun! 

Lynne’s guess that her daughter was experiencing a nervous breakdown was proven true when Britney finally let her visit.

“Britney was so agitated she couldn’t stop moving. She cleaned the house, changed her clothes many times. We talked, but it was as if she wasn’t there.”

Luckily, those times are past and (as seen here) Britney looked happy and healthy at last night’s VMAs. But it’s good to know that Lynne’s X-Men-like enhanced senses are looking out for her.

Lynne Spears reportedly writes that Britney started drinking at 13, lost her virginity at 14, and tried drugs at 15. Apparently Britney stuck to a tight schedule.

A source says that Lynne encouraged Britney, who had recently ended her stint on The Mickey Mouse Club, to date the jock to cement her popularity. Thanks, Mom!

Jamie Lynn has reportedly moved out of her Mississippi home with fiance Casey Aldridge. Reports suggest that he has been cheating on Jamie Lynn with another woman.

The 19-year-old Aldridge reportedly hooked up with 28-year-old Kelli Dawson before, during and after Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy.

Aldridge denies the charges.

In Casey’s defense, Britney Spears would have been his sister-in-law. That would send any man screaming into the arms of the nearest adultress.

“Brit has assured Jamie Lynn that she’ll build a nursery for Maddie—even promising that when she buys her new place, it will have a special wing for them,” a source says.

That wing will be built right alongside the wig/weave collection and the Slim Jim humidor.

The mother of Britney Spears was taking her brother to the hospital. She rounded a corner and ran over Anthony Winters, who was playing on his bike just outside his family’s home.

A source told the National Enquirer, “She could not avoid the boy in the street, as there was oncoming traffic in the opposite lane.”

The incident was ruled an accident, and Lynne was never charged for the child’s death, but according to a rep for Britney’s mom, “It bothers Lynne still to this day.”

Even though her parenting skills come into question, at least Lynne has the common decency not to claim that the deceased boy is a “better person” after the crash.

Most likely, Britney was confused by the vastly diminished amount of paparazzi trailing her.

She thinks she’s no longer famous and is annoyed at the prospect of privacy being restored to her life, should she move back to Kentwood like her mother says she plans to.

Lynne Spears told an L.A. Superior Court on Tuesday that Britney “intends to return to Louisiana,” but has remained in California because of custodial restraints placed on  her children with ex-husband Kevin Federline. However, Brit did just purchase property in California, so who knows?

Meanwhile, Britney’s also reported to be heading back into the studio for her follow-up album to Blackout. Skeptics abound, but producer Jim Beanz insists, “Britney is amazing.”

And by amazing he means “mostly awake at least half of the time.”

Despite earlier reports that she and baby daddy Casey Aldridge were hip-deep in the nesting process, Star magazine reveals that Jamie Lynn has deep-sixed the wedding.

“Jamie Lynn and Casey have been fighting nonstop about everything, from what to name the baby to what to eat for dinner,” says the magazine’s source. “And now she’s called off their wedding plans.”

How could this happen? The lovebirds seemed to have everything going for them. If a pregnant 17-year-old and her 19-year-old beau can’t make a marriage work, does anyone stand a chance?

Meanwhile, Jamie Lynn’s bundle of joy should be dropping down the chute any day now, and the mama-to-be has moved back to the Spears family’s curiously named Louisiana estate, Serenity.

She and mom Lynn are “busy decorating the family nursery,” according to a second insider.

No doubt Jamie Lynn has her hands full with that—it can’t be easy finding wallpaper decorated with tractor pulls and deep-fried Twinkies.
 
Lynne is pretty busy, too; in addition to setting up house for her impending grandkid, her book project, which was shelved after news of Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy broke, is back on, with a slated September release date, according to People.

Rather than a parenting-advice book, as was previously anticipated, the tome will be a memoir that will “express her love for her children and tell their stories through a mother’s eyes.”

Awesome, it should make a fine companion piece to Mommie Dearest.

Overnight visits would still be prohibited, and K-Fed is retaining primary custody. Brit may have settled down a bit, but let’s not get crazy. You know she still requested Judge Judy try the case. She likes Judy because she sees her on the TV.

Brit’s parents were rooting for her in court. Conservator dad Jamie Spears and mom Lynne Spears released a statement via court spokesperson that noted, “We are so pleased with Britney’s progress, and we are very appreciative of the court’s recognition of this progress.”

Federline’s mouthpiece, the very vocal Mark Vincent Kaplan, chalks up Britney’s getting a partial grip on reality with help from her dad for the improved arrangement.

“We all know over the last few months what was a seemingly daily situation in extreme flux has been stabilized,” Kaplan said outside the courtroom. “We see there are not daily events occurring that made it very difficult to have any kind of grounding or believing that an environment that was best for the children was consistent across both homes.”

Jamie’s conservatorship takes a lot of “uncertainty out of play,” he added.

Another hearing is scheduled for July 15, at which time the progress of the new arrangement will be examined.

Hopefully, their sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, will know who she is by then. Right now, she’s “sloppy lady in the hoodie.”
