Weeks after One Direction had their faces, arms and legs measured by Madame Tussauds experts, the museum has unveiled behind-the-scenes photos of the boys in their clay best.

With each clay head propped next to a sculptor, the wax versions of Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Niall Horan look pretty convincing (yes, Harry’s locks and Zayn’s peach fuzz are included).

The exhibit will launch at the London location on Apr. 18, followed by a three-month stay in New York City. The wax figures will then travel to Sydney in October for another three month attraction.

“I think it’s going to be quite weird to see yourself as a wax figure,” Tomlinson told the museum last month. “But it’s an amazing honor to be there. If you look at some of the names that are in there. We are very proud.”

Will the real Jennifer Aniston please stand up?

The folks at Madame Tussauds have just unveiled the brand new wax figure of Aniston in New York City, just in time to greet the holiday crowds.

Donning an LBD, matching strappy heels and a clutch, the wax statue also includes Aniston’s famous locks.

And just like real life, Madame Tussauds also made a gigantic sparkler of their own, to replicate the Friends star’s 8-carat engagement ring from beau Justin Theroux.

“America’s Sweetheart was once again atop the wish lists of Madame Tussauds New York’s guests, and she joined the star-studded lineup on Thursday, December 13th,” the museum’s website announced.

Aniston’s wax figure is currently hanging out with wax versions of Jennifer Lopez, George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Aniston’s ex-husband Brad Pitt in the museum’s “Opening Night Party” room.

Las Vegas got their newest immortalized celebrity, as Gwen Stefani‘s wax figure debuted at Madame Tussauds with the real Gwen side-by-side at The Venetian on Wednesday. 

Rejoice, Robert Pattinson fans; your favorite sexy vampire has now been cloned! At least in wax form. Behold, the finished R-Pattz wax figure that the craftsmen of Madame Tussauds  have been painstakingly working on for the past several weeks. It’s so realistic, you can practically catch the whiff of questionable hygiene coming off of it over the Internet.

But impressive as the statue is, it does bring up an interesting conundrum: How will they keep this thing from melting when it’s obviously so hot?

The Robert Pattinson wax figure premieres at the New York and London branches of Madame Tussauds  on March 25—which, if you check your calendar, is tomorrow. Twi-hards, buy your plane tickets…

Famed wax museum Madame Tussauds is currently crafting not one, but two wax figures of the New Moon hunk, which will be displayed in the New York and London branches of the museum starting on March 25. And unlike the crude R-Pattz wax figurine you crafted from melted candles and keep in a shrine in your bedroom, these will be topnotch; according to the museum, artists are “studying hundreds of photos and poring through hours of video to ensure that they capture R.Pattz’s trademark sultry expression and inimitable style.”

No word on whether the figures will also include two wax security guards to prop R-Pattz up when he gets a little too heavy into the celebratory mood. But perhaps the bigger question is, with R-Pattz being so hot and all, how will they keep the wax from melting?

Is there room in the world for another Snoop Dogg?

We’d better hope so, because that’s exactly what Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas has given us.

The museum unveiled its wax figure of the legendary rapper on Monday (appropriately enough, 4/20). And if you’re having trouble telling the two apart, there’s good reason; the waxy doppelganger cost $300,000 to make, is outfitted in Snoop’s own Rich and Famous clothing line, and was meticulously crafted.

“When our team from London met with Snoop in Hollywood, he gave us about two hours and we took nearly 200 measurements—matched eye, skin and hair coloring,” Madame Tussauds spokesperson Roxanne Holland tells People magazine. “He gave our sculptors the chance to experience his personality and nuances. He was an absolute joy!”

“Fa shizzle dizzle I said yes when asked,” Snoop adds. “I’m honored! The D O double G got a double.”

Well said, good sir.

If Jack Tweed has his way, his deceased wife Jade Goody will live on forever in wax.

The Sun reports that Tweed is leaning hard on the management of Madame Tussauds to create a wax figure of Goody, a former reality TV star who died on March 22 after a highly publicized battle with cervical cancer.

“Jade told me she’d love a statue of herself,” Tweed reportedly told a friend. “This is the nearest I can get to it.”

But Tweed’s request isn’t entirely about preserving the memory of his loved one. The 21-year-old widower is also asking Tussauds to offer facilities next to the figure to allow for donations to cancer charities.

Good news, ladies of the world; there’s now twice as much Zac Efron to go around.

A wax figure of the High School Musical hunk was unveiled at Madame Tussauds in New York on Thursday. The figure is clad in basketball trunks and jersey, and is posed holding a basketball, in tribute to one of Efron’s favorite pastimes.

As with its flesh-and-blood counterpart, the ersatz Efron drew no small amount of female attention. A number of young ladies lined up to give the figure a peck on the cheek.

Proceed with caution, girls; when it comes to Zac Efron and wax, you might want to be careful where you put your lips.

A new wax figure of Circus ringmaster Britney Spears, 27, has been unveiled at Madame Tussaud’s in London. And it’s lifelike quality is almost chilling.

The new figure depicts major 50 Cent inspiration Britney as she looked at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards, where she wore a shimmery silver dress as she accepted multiple awards for her “Piece of Me” video.

The figure looks like it could stop, drop and bust into some choreography at any minute.

It was considered the first stop on the road to a successful comeback that has resulted in a #1 album and sold-out shows on her upcoming tour, which will be sponsored by Virgin Mobile and be her first nationwide concert series since the Onyx Hotel Tour of 2004.

Sky News reports that the old Spears figure was made eight years ago and the museum felt that it was time to update it.

Museum spokesperson Liz Edwards says that Britney has “undergone a huge transformation since then and we wanted to reflect her as she is now.”

Madame Tussauds did a bang-up job on their Amy Winehouse wax figure. If not for the faint hint of healthiness, you’d think it was the real thing.

Attending the figure’s unveiling in London were Amy’s mother Janis Winehouse and her long-suffering father Mitch Winehouse.

Janis and Mitch may want to take that figure home and leave their flesh-and-blood daughter in its place. Constantly chasing after Amy Winehouse is no way to spend the Golden Years.

Wax Amy offers several distinct advantages over the original.

A wax Amy Winehouse will never cough up blood on you.

A wax Amy Winehouse will never beat up her fans. Or the hired help.

A wax Amy Winehouse will never embarrass you by singing racist nursery rhymes on the Internet.

A wax Amy Winehouse will never pull crap like this.

In fact, wax just may be a cure for troublesome personalities overall.

The Tussauds people should work up a wax replacement for this. The world will be a better place.

Madame Tussauds of London is set to immortalize everyone’s favorite tabloid pop casualty, Amy Winehouse, with a waxen figure later this year.

It would be rude to point out that Amy’s general appearance lately is more a half dead guttersnipe than a celebrity immortal; so let that lie.

In her healthier incarnations (and there is hope yet that she will resurrect one of those) the Winehouse has radiated style, originality and strength in a series of totally personal and powerful signature looks.

Done right, Amy just might give Posh and Becks a run for their money as Tussauds most-visited exhibit.
