Everything is better in pairs — especially for new parents Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, who welcomed twins into the world.

“The babies were born a few weeks early, but are in good health and both Mom and Dad are overjoyed,” said a joint statement from their reps on Wednesday.

And the True Blood costars-turned-lovers certainly aren’t the first celebrities to get a double delivery from the stork.

So what other couples in Hollywood are proud parents to twins?

From Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, to Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, plenty of A-listers have had a dose of double baby joy.

On their third wedding anniversary, Carey and Cannon welcomed fraternal twins, son Moroccan and daughter Monroe in April 2011.

Parker and Broderick didn’t want to settle for one offspring: In June 20092, the Sex and the City star and her actor hubby welcomed twin girls Marion Loretta and Tabitha Hodge via surrogate, joining big brother James Wilkie.

And Brangelina added to their seemingly ever-growing brood in July 2008, when the actress gave birth to fraternal twins Vivienne and Knox in Nice, France.

On the eve of the two-hour Desperate Housewives finale, it’s emerged just how deep the off-screen feud is between co-stars Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman, Vanessa Williams — and their on-screen Wisteria Lane neighbor Teri Hatcher.

After the final scenes for the much-hyped final episode were shot, the stars of the hit ABC show teamed together to provide the program’s crew with a parting gift to thank them for their highly successful eight-year run.

But one name was left off the card accompanying the gifted luggage, Celebuzz has exclusively learned.

Hatcher.

The gift card on the Soren branded carry on luggage read, “Just know that on all your future adventures you are carrying a little piece of our love and gratitude. Thank you for a magical 8 years.”

It was signed off, “Eva, Marcia, Felicity and Vanessa.”

“The girls don’t get along with Teri so they organized this and left her out,” a production source told Celebuzz, exclusively.

The feud between Hatcher, 47, and Co. isn’t the first time in-fighting among the high-profile stars of Desperate Housewives has aired in public.

During Nicollette Sheridan’s court case against Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry, the television executive testified that Sheridan had once told him that Hatcher was the “meanest woman in the world.”

What’s more, during the cast’s Vanity Fair cover in 2005, Cross and Longoria reportedly threatened to walk off if they posed with Hatcher in the center — and she ultimately wound up on the far left of frame.

Longoria, 37, hinted at the cast’s estrangement from Hatcher in a 2007 interview.

“Flick and I live down the street from each other. When (ex-husband) Tony [Parker] is in town, Marcia and I get together with our husbands – those two are big basketball fans. And Nicollette and I go shopping all the time.”

She didn’t mention the former Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman star.

It’s nice to have the support of your colleagues in difficult times. Slightly less gratifying? When they won’t come out and actually express their support for you.

Nicollette Sheridan‘s former Desperate Housewives castmates are reportedly pulling for  the actress in her $20 million lawsuit against DH creator Marc Cherry, but are reluctant to come forward, out of fear for their own jobs.

In her recently filed wrongful-termination suit, Sheridan claims that Cherry slapped her in the face and on the head when she took issue with a script element in 2008, then canned her because she had the nerve to complain about being roughed up in the workplace. According to a mole familiar with the inner workings of the show, such outbursts aren’t uncommon for Cherry, but the rest of the cast has learned to tolerate his abusiveness for the sake of the show:

“Marc can sometimes think he’s being funny, but he really just comes off as arrogant and rude. But the women mostly put up with it. He’s considered a genius at what he does, and it kind of just comes with the territory.”

While Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross and the rest of Wisteria Lane’s residents secretly sympathize with their former coworker’s plight, apparently none of them are willing to publicly come forward with their support, lest they find their own characters killed off:

“They’re all silently behind her, but the actresses on the show enjoy the fame and success that Marc has created for them. It’s unlikely that anyone will step forward to support Nicollette—their characters are all still alive on the show, and they have a lot more to lose than she does.”

So all the Desperate Housewives are looking out for themselves, and are willing to throw each other under the bus in order to achieve their goals? Wow; apparently life really does imitate art.

Marcia Cross, who plays maniacal Martha Stewart stand-in Bree on ABC’s Desperate Housewives, was snapped mattress-shopping in Santa Monica, California, yesterday.

Cross didn’t end up buying a mattress yesterday; that sort of decision is just too big to make in one day, duh!

Instead, she reported to Fred Segal and went shopping for herself.

Hey, Cross deserves a break. The talented redhead is a new mom and dealing with her husband’s recent cancer diagnosis.

She should indulge in all the retail therapy she needs. And by all means, she should take her time in picking out a mattress that helps her best sleep at night.

The rep for flame-haired Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross has confirmed that the actress’s husband, Tom Mahoney, has been diagnosed with cancer.

“He is currently under treatment and is responding very well,” spokesperson Heidi Slan said to People.

Cross, 46, began dating 50-year-old Mahoney, a stockbroker, in early 2005.

The pair were married in 2006 and their twin daughters Eden and Savannah were born on February 20, 2007.

No further details have been confirmed about Mahoney’s condition.

Previously, Marcia Cross had been the longtime partner of Golden Globe-winning actor Richard Jordan, who starred in such films as Logan’s Run, The Hunt for Red October and Gettysburg.

Jordan passed away in 1993 from a brain tumor. He was 56.

Cross was just becoming famous at that point as a fan favorite on Melrose Place, on which she played Dr. Kimberly Shaw.

Reports of Melrose Place returning to the air on the CW surfaced in late October. Now strings behind the scenes are being pulled to bring Fox’s nighttime ’90s soap back from the dead.

The Hollywood Reporter notes that One Tree Hill creator Mark Schwann has been tapped to write the script for Melrose 2.0‘s pilot episode. The original show ran for seven seasons, from 1992 to 1999.

The CW successfully resurrected Beverly Hills, 90210 earlier this year for its title-simplified 90210 hit. While the new 90210 has made stars out of Shenae Grimes, 19, and paparazzi darling AnnaLynne McCord, 21, it also boasted the return of old-school cast members Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty.

Can viewers expect the same with the revamped Place?

Several MP alums have gone on to find success on the small screen—most notably Doug Savant and Marcia Cross (Desperate Housewives), Kelly Rutherford (Gossip Girl) and Courtney Thorne-Smith (Ally McBeal, According to Jim).

The original series’ conniving landlord, Heather Locklear, 47, found her name in the headlines for other reasons this year, particularly a September DUI arrest in Malibu.

The Hollywood Reporter notes that Schwann’s contract with new Melrose producer CBS Paramount doesn’t begin until June. He’s expected to concentrate on running One Tree Hill in the meantime.

Good news, Desperate Housewives fans!

While ABC’s hit Sunday-night soap had originally been said to be ending after its 2010-2011 seventh season, series creator Marc Cherry, 46, reveals he’d like to see the show carry on for two additional years, reports TV Guide.

The cast and crew of Housewives–which follows the often-scandalous lives of Wisteria Lane residents Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria and Felcity Huffman–celebrated 100 episodes Wednesday evening with a cake-cutting ceremony.

That’s when Cherry announced his desire to extend the program for an extra two seasons.

A source tells TV Guide that all four leads are on board for the duration. However, the agreement for two more seasons hasn’t been set in stone by the network just yet.

Despite this seemingly good news, Desperate Housewives was shut out from this year’s Golden Globes nominations.

Shy-butt actress Kate Beckinsale and unisex bathroom supporter Marcia Cross were both recently spotted out at book stores with their families.

Cross took her toddler daughter Eden to a bookstore in Brentwood while out shopping. They’re never too young to start with Dr. Suess.

The newly self-accepting Beckinsale is slightly hipper when choosing daughter Lily Mo Sheen‘s reading material. Beckinsale and husband, director Len Wiseman, accompanied Lily to a comic book store in Santa Monica to hang out amid the stacks.

Hey, every hit movie in existence right now pretty much started as a comic book.

And Wiseman’s a movie director of such hits as Live Free or Die Hard and Underworld. He was probably looking for some new source material.

As is typical in Hollywood, when something works, you squeeze every last bit of money out of it.

The CW, thrilled with the decent return on their 90210 ressurection, is planning on bringing onetime spinoff Melrose Place back to life, says Entertainment Weekly.

The original show was the soapy and ridiculous chronicle of the lives and loves of several Angelenos all living in one apartment complex.

Its high points included bitchy-but-sexy landlord Heather Locklear, drownings in the courtyard pool, evil doctors hiding their jagged head scars under wigs and one episode in which said doctor—played by Desperate Housewives diva Marcia Cross— blew up the entire complex.

Oh, and Housewives star Doug Savant also starred as one of the first mainstay gay characters on prime-time TV, Matt Fielding.

Melrose Place left the air in 1999 after seven seasons.

Details on the new version are scarce at this point, but an update of the series has been confirmed by a CW spokesperson.

They need somehow bring back sassy Sydney (Laura Leighton) from the dead. True, she got run over by a car and killed on her wedding day, but this is a soap opera…!

No one likes to play dress-up more so than Hollywood actors, so it makes sense that they also look forward to the Halloween holiday.

A pack of stars flocked to West Hollywood’s Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch over the weekend, with their kids in tow—including Marcia Cross and daughter Eden, Tobey Maguire (with wife Jennifer Meyer and daughter Ruby Sweetheart) and Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott (with new daughter Stella).

Oh, and Shauna Sand showed up, too…in lucite heels. Boo!

The 60th Annual Prime Time Emmys were awarded at L.A.’s Nokia Theater Sunday night.

For many of the honorees, winning one of the prestigious flying lady trophies means basking in the acclaim of peers and striking acid in the gut of rivals.

For most of the world watching, the real action takes place outside the hall.

Just like on any ordinary viewing night, the stars are the only reason anyone is really watching.
