Maria Menounos Eliminated From ‘Dancing With the Stars’

To quote host Tom Bergeron: “No matter who goes home, it’s going to suck.” Indeed.

In what is always the toughest elimination of the season, tonight, Dancing With the Stars had to bid farewell to one more celebrity to make room for next week’s much-anticipated season 14 finale.

This time around, it was TV personality Maria Menounos who was sent home just before reaching the finish line, to the sound of boos coming from the crowd.

With her infections laugh and go-getter attitude, Maria was a fighter throughout the season, oftentimes heating up the ballroom floor with her partner, Derek Hough.

On Monday night specifically, Maria seemed like an inevitable choice for next week’s finale; her first dance — the Argentine Tango — earned a perfect 30 from the judges, while her Jive came close, with a score of 29.

Unfortunately, as so often happens on DWTS, Maria’s perfect skills just weren’t enough to push her through to the end. Instead, we’ll see Katherine Jenkins, William Levy and Donald Driver duke it out for the season 14 Mirrorball Trophy, beginning on Monday.

Despite the tough elimination, Maria kept her composure in her post-elimination interview, and thanked everyone from Derek to the folks at Extra for the experience of being on the show.

Maria Menounos sizzled in Las Vegas this Saturday as she celebrated Cinco de Mayo with her Dancing With the Stars partner, Derek Hough, at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. Sporting a very skimpy green bikini, the 33-year-old Extra host kicked back with a Bud Light Lime ‘Lime-a-Rita’ before hopping into the pool for some good ‘ol fashion fun in the sun.

It looks like all that dancing is really paying off — just check out Maria’s killer abs!

It’s no wonder then that she was awarded with the season’s first perfect 30 on DWTS this week. Performing a vampire-inspired Paso Doble, Maria and Derek sexed up the ballroom floor in a flawless routine that wowed the crowd, the viewers, and the judges.

Although the judges on Dancing With the Stars have been — how do we put this kindly? — generous with their scores this season, we’ve yet to see any season 14 cast member receive a perfect 30. That is, until Monday night.

Dancing a vampire-inspired Paso Doble that would make Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart blush, Maria Menounos and her partner, Derek Hough, sexed up the ballroom floor in a flawless routine, that wowed both the crowd, the viewers and of course, the judges, who awarded the couple with a perfect score. Not bad, if you ask us!

The couple’s routine put them at the front of the line as season 14 moves closer and closer to the finale, airing later this month. But will Monday night’s perfect routine help them take the coveted Mirrorball Trophy?

After smooching her partner Derek Hough on Dancing With the Stars, Maria Menounos has a new kissing partner: William Shatner.

The Extra host, 33, was caught puckering up with the 81-year-old Star Trek actor William Shatner when he stopped by the show to chat about his new book, Get a Life! During the interview, Shatner pulled her in for a smooch. Maria didn’t look upset by the power move, laughing hysterically with the actor afterward.

“The jive! For some reason, I really don’t know if that’s going to be a good one for me. I was most nervous about the rumba because I wasn’t sure if I could get the sexy down because I’m a little too goofy, but that actually went alright. But the jive is my next biggest fear.”

Maria Menounos has been doing an amazing job on Dancing With the Stars thus far, but there are even dances that she is scared to tackle!

Celebuzz caught up with the 33-year-old Extra correspondent at Kreiss Furniture’s 75th anniversary party in LA last week, and talked to her all about how she keeps her feet in fighting shape for the grueling competition, as well as what her life has been like since starting the show, and what she has planned for when it’s over.

So, what number has Maria shaking in her dancing shoes?

Maria said:

Readers Respond: ‘GCB’ Star Leslie Bibb Has Best Allure Magazine Nude Photo

The Celebuzz readers have voted and spoken in regards to Allure magazine‘s nude photo shoot that included SUPER sexy shots of actresses Heidi Klum, Maria Menounos, Debra Messing, Leslie Bibb, Taraji P. Henson, and Morena Baccarin.

Our readers took their voting responsibilities very seriously and instead of deciding on perhaps the most famous nude model, Klum, they found the butt-baring photo of GCB star Leslie Bibb to be the best of the bunch.

As of 5 p.m. Eastern, Leslie, 37, was winning by 28% in the poll, with Maria and Morena not too far behind. This honor may be well deserved on Leslie’s part, who admitted to Allure that she went on a four-day juice fast before the shoot:

“Sam [Rockwell, her boyfriend] was like, ‘Thank God I’m not with you right now. You are not nice on the juice cleanse.’”

However, it was Smash star Debra Messing, 43, that seemed to get quite a few comments for her photo.

“Wow!! she is looking supa’hot!!” Miss Rouso wrote in the Celebuzz comments.

One reader, Gary, was not so impressed though, commenting, “Show me the pics before they are airbrushed and i will give you my real opinion.”

Forget the teeny bikinis! These women are so comfortable in their own skin that they were willing to pose nude for Allure magazine. Heidi Klum, Maria Menounos, Debra Messing, Leslie Bibb, Taraji P. Henson, and Morena Baccarin stripped down completely, with the exception of some diamonds, and shared their feelings about baring their flawless physiques.

While Maria, Debra and Taraji chose to drape themselves over a bed, Heidi, Leslie and Morena did full frontal standing shots for their photo shoot. So which nude photo is your fave? Cast your vote in the poll below and flip through the gallery to get a closer look at these beautiful nudes.

The Allure interviews with these women were quite candid, with Maria saying of her body image, “I have some serious issues here. But I want to get over that.”

Smash star Debra, 43, was happy to flaunt her figure, admitting, “Once you have a child, once you pass 40, you have a different relationship with your body. I love my body in a way I never have before.”

GCB star Leslie confessed that she went on a four-day juice cleanse before the shoot, joking, “Sam [Rockwell, her boyfriend] was like, ‘Thank God I’m not with you right now. You are not nice on the juice cleanse.’”

As for Oscar nominee Taraji, this probably won’t be the last time we’ll see her nude. She told Allure, “My friends won’t be surprised by this shoot. Whenever we go to the beach, I’m like, ‘Is this a nude beach? Can I take my top off?’”

V and Homeland star Morena said of her strip down, “I didn’t want it to be an overload, like ‘That girl is always taking off her clothes.’ This is for the art of it. It’s beautiful.”

Things heated up on the Dancing With the Stars ballroom floor Monday night, as sexy duo Maria Menounos and Derek Hough shared an intimate kiss during their equally sexy Salsa.

The headline-grabbing moment happened about midway through the routine, conveniently right after Derek ripped off his shirt to reveal his perfect physique. Even if the kiss was part of the routine (we’re guessing it was), we can’t say we blame Maria for getting a little piece of the action.

And it clearly paid off! The sexy couple, who have experienced their fair share of injuries and setbacks thus far this season, earned three nines from the judges, for a total of 27 out of 30 points. Not bad!

Maria Menounos Bonds With ‘DWTS’ Partner Derek Hough At Lakers Game (PHOTOS)

Though Dancing With the Stars season 14 hasn’t even started yet, it looks like Maria Menounos and Derek Hough’s chemistry is going to be red-hot!

The good-looking duo, who will hit the ballroom floor together on March 19, bonded at the Staples Center in Los Angeles last night as the Lakers took on the Boston Celtics.

Maria showed off her Boston pride in a Celtics jersey, while Derek went the incognito route in a Lakers hat. After the game, Maria posted a video on her WhoSay account, in which she and Derek practiced their dance moves on the court. We approve!

Maria is one of many stars who will be competing for the season 14 title this year. Other stars include Gladys Knight and Sherri Shepherd.

Maria Menounos on ‘DWTS’: I Feel Like A 10-Month Old Learning to Walk (EXCLUSIVE)

We’ve seen a whole lot of Extra host Maria Menounos — especially after she busted out in a bikini in Times Square — but we’re about to see much more on Dancing with the Stars!

In an interview with Celebuzz, she reveals her first dance, her feet-saving techniques and why everyone should get close enough to smell Derek Hough!

You must be insanely busy right now with Extra and DWTS and everything else. How are keeping your schedule together?
A lot of coffee, a lot of Advil. Extra has been so supportive and really behind me with all of this and making it as easy as possible. I’m pretty good, I’m doing pretty well.

Are you and Derek ringers or what? The two of you seem like you’re a perfect pick to win!
I feel like a 10 month old that’s learning how to walk, so I can’t even get to that place. Right now it’s like I’m just trying to learn and be sharp. The hardest part about being tired is that you’re not sharp. The other day at rehearsal I was getting so frustrated with myself because I couldn’t remember things. I was getting so frustrated with myself. I was like “Oh gosh this is going to get real tough.”

What does Derek say when you get frustrated like that?
He’s sweet, he’s been very sweet.

The outfits on DWTS are pretty skimpy — is there anything off limits?
I definitely don’t have boundaries because I just wore a bikini in Times Square. I mean, it can’t get any worse than that. I think it’ll be fine. I just look at Derek and say he’s in charge of everything, whatever he says goes because he knows what he’s doing and I don’t.

Do you have any clue what your first dance will be?
I’m doing the Cha Cha Cha first.

That’s a hard one! Does anything hurt yet?
No, I’m very prepared. I’ve gotten down to a science; my friend who’s been visiting is helping drive me around. He puts my pedicure station in the front seat of my car, fills it with ice water and has it plugged in. On the way home I’m soaking in ice, and then when I get home I change, get in the hot tub. If I’m in pain anywhere [after that] I use a little Arnica cream or gel. If I’m still in pain I would take some Advil, then I’ll get a massage. I’ve set up all my shoes with the gel cushions and the heels inserts and all that stuff. I’m as prepared as much as I possibly can for preventative maintenance I guess. So, I’m feeling great right now, I’m not feeling anything.

A Twitter follower wants to know: What is your favorite part of the DWTS process so far?
My favorite part is learning to dance. It’s something that I never had the opportunity to do before. Derek and I have really good chemistry. We have a lot of fun together, so it just makes it even better. We are dying laughing at rehearsals at all time and so it’s been really really fun.

Another Twitter question: someone wants to know, since you’re so close to Derek all the time — how good does he smell?
Oh my God, I’m so glad they asked! [laughs] He smells so good it’s silly. I love being close to him, it’s crazy. It’s like, I have no problem being super close to your sweaty body and dancing because it smells really nice. He never smells bad.

Each week following DWTS, you’re going to be hosting a series for After Buzz TV! Can you tell us about that?
Absolutely! We had our official launch … we partnered up with BING and also teamed up Akamai — who is helping us stream seamlessly online every day. Basically, we are an online digital network devoted to after shows. You watch your favorite show at home, then after it goes off the air we go up live on AfterbuzzTV.com breaking it down. We’re talking about everything; the plot, what we liked, what we didn’t like. It’s like Sports Center is after a game, that’s what we do, but for TV shows. You can call in to engage in the conversation, or just watch it. And if you don’t watch things live, you can download it on iTunes later. DWTS this is going to be our headline show and I’m going to be leaving the ballroom and rushing up to AfterBuzz [right after]. I’m going to be talking about it and people will be able to call in and ask me questions directly. It’s really fan driven and fan interactive and it takes message boards to the next level.

The Extra host (and avid Patriots fan) was so sure the New England football team would win Sunday’s Super Bowl, that she bet her fellow correspondent, Giants fan AJ Calloway, that she would strut her stuff in a bikini in Times Square if they lost. And we think we all know by now who took home those Super Bowl rings!

Although the Super Bowl is all about Eli Manning and Tom Brady, all the ladies in Indianapolis seem more interested Tim Tebow! The Denver Broncos quarterback has been the center of attention all weekend, with celebs like Katharine McPhee, Jordin Sparks and Jenny McCarthy all lining up to get some much needed “Tebow Time.”

While at ESPN the Magazine’s Next party on Friday night, Tebow was flocked by women, but seemed pretty interested in Extra host Maria Menounos. Surrounded by a group of friends, the two looked to be having a few laughs, even taking pics Tebowing together!

“They were flirting, but it was all in good fun,” an onlooker tells Celebuzz. “All the women in the room were certainly jealous of Maria’s one-on-one time with Tim. He’s the most wanted man in Indy this weekend!”

On Saturday evening, Katy Perry hit the stage for a nine-song set for guests at Mark Cuban’s DIRECTV Super Saturday Night party dedicating her song “Peacock” to Tebow.

“This one goes out to Tim Tebow,” she said, before launching into her single.

Earlier in the week when he stopped by Sirius XM radio for an interview, hosts Rosie O’Donnell and Jenny McCarthy tried to set him up. McCarthy seemed a little smitten with Tebow, writing on Twitter:
