“I want more kids,” the 37-year-old host of Extra revealed to us this week. “It’s the best thing in the world.”

“I can’t wait for more,” added Lopez, who welcomed his first child, Gia, with fiance Courtney Mazza, in September 2010.

So, when’s it going to happen?

“I’ll wait for the guests to leave our wedding party and get started right away!” he quipped. (Lopez is set to marry Mazza this winter.)

In the meantime, the former actor is busy promoting the paperback version of his cookbook, Extra Lean Family.

“It teaches people how to embrace food because I don’t believe in diets,” he explained. “I love to eat and this book encourages you how to get the family off on the right foot. It’s never too early to learn the importance of a good healthy meal.”

Mario, of course, has been in the business for years, appearing on everything from Saved by the Bell to Dancing With the Stars. These days, fans can catch Mario interviewing celebrities on the hit entertainment news program Extra.

Ironically enough, even though he’s interviewed hundreds of famous faces, Mario says he doesn’t actually have a favorite celebrity.

“There ares so many that are really cool. The bigger the star, the cooler and more down to earth they are.”

Still, Mario did save room to gush about a recent favorite: Rihanna, whom he met on the Battleship red carpet. While there, he found out that the feeling was mutual.

“It made me an even bigger fan of hers,” he confesses. “But she was so down to earth and sweet.”

Now that he’s danced with the stars, hosted a TV show and become buddy-buddy with Rihanna, is there anything left that Mario wants to do?

“I’ve got a lot of stuff I still want to achieve, but there could be political aspirations in the future,” he said, earnestly.

Mario says he doesn’t consider himself a Republican or Democrat, “I don’t want to alienate anyone, they all watch T.V!” but is a registered Independent.

That’s all well and fine — just don’t ask the registered Independent if he leans to the Left or Right.

“I don’t want to alienate anyone,” he quipped. “They all watch TV!”

Mario Lopez told us that he’s very much looking forward to some vacation time — most likely in Mexico — following a very busy awards season over the next few weeks, and that he’s also pumped to be hosting Live! with Kelly Ripa next week. We also caught up with Pretty Little Liars cutie Tyler Blackburn and The Blind Side gentle giant Quinton Aaron, who couldn’t have been nicer.

Blackburn told Celebuzz that his sleek khaki pea coat was from Banana Republic. “I just threw something together … it gives me so much anxiety,” he said with a big smile.

Aaron told us that the thing he’s most excited about for 2012 is the release of his first behind-the-scenes project, a suspense thriller that he produced.

We were also on stage with none other than R&B legend Brian McKnight, who belted out some serious tunes for the crowd — and even did the Dougie for everyone to see. Check out the video below:

Extra host Mario Lopez, 38, and girlfriend Courtney Mazza, 30, were spotted out on Wednesday night at Rosé Restaurant in West Hollywood celebrating their respective birthdays — which are only three days apart!

They were reportedly is great spirits! One onlooker said,

“The couple had an absolute ball together and seem madly in love.”

The happy couple also celebrated the first birthday of their daughter, Gia, in September.

Ryan Cabrera played an intimate concert at Softcup’s Cocktail Party at the Andaz Hotel in San Diego, where Mario was in attendance. He cuddled with girlfriend Courtney Mazza outside, while listening to Ryan Perform. According to onlookers, the couple’s PDA was cute and cozy and they seemed to have a great time.

It’s definitely nice for the two to have some alone time, with all the running around they must be doing with newborn daughter Gia!

Amanda Beard, American Swimmer and seven-time gold medalist, also made an appearance and posed for pics with the sexy Lopez. The athletic beauty donned a spicy leopard print floor length maxi dress that shined as bright as her seven medals. 

The cocktail party was held as a part of the BlogHer Conference in San Diego, which supports women bloggers. It’s a refreshing change of pace to see these fine men show their soft spots, and support the leading ladies in the business world! 

Mario Lopez and Kate Gosselin both were seen ditching their shirts while getting their jog on this week, and we can’t help but notice both have ridiculously flat stomachs!

While we give props to Kate, 36, for her toned abs, (the woman does have eight kids) we can’t help but recall that she did have a bit of (surgical) assitance to get her stomach to look that way. But still! On the other hand, 37-year-old Mario’s washboard abs has been one of his signature traits since the 1990s. Now that’s talent!

Mario Lopez was spotted doting on his 10-month-old daughter Gia as the two took a stroll in sunny LA on Wednesday afternoon. The 37-year-old, who was taking a break from his Extra hosting duties, even brought their pup along for the fun. Too cute!

It looks like Mario is ready for a little vacation!

ML tweeted about taking a mini-hiatus from his celebrity entertainment news show on Friday and said:

“Going back home to Chula Vista! Visiting family, seeing the Padres, and spending time with our affiliate KUSI. Thanks for supporting Extra!!”

The Extra host and newly-minted hot dad welcomed his first child with girlfriend Courtney Mazza last month, and now he’s showing off his bundle of joy for the first time in an exclusive photo shoot with OK! magazine.

Though known for his superb dancing skills and love of the ladies, Mario is now in dad mode, telling OK! that his dimpled daughter is “constantly changing.”

“I’m still in that shocked, euphoric stage,” Mario told the mag of fatherhood. “Finding out the sex of the baby was the best surprise. I did a big betting pool and everyone was excited. I thought we were having a girl, and Courtney thought it was a boy.”

If Mario looks like a natural with Gia, it’s because he’s used to hanging with babies.

“I come from a big, loud Mexican Catholic family,” he told OK!.
