After one season as a Beverly Hills housewife, Marisa Zanuck is saying goodbye for good to the ladies of 90210, she confirms exclusively to Celebuzz.

After hinting about a departure in her blog late last month, Zanuck says she is not going to make up any excuses about why she won’t be back for season 4 of the hit Bravo series: “I wasn’t asked back,” she revealed. “It’s as simple as that and I’m okay with it.”

While rumors have run rampant that celebs like Lisa Rinna and Leann Rimes might be filling some empty stilettos, Yolanda Foster has confirmed she’ll be turning up the drama queen for a fourth season. As CB! reported, Adrienne Maloof won’t be part of the new cast, and Lisa Vanderpump and Taylor Armstrongare still up in the air.

As for Zanuck, she’s at peace with Bravo’s decision and looks forward to the next chapter in her life.

“Housewives was a once in a lifetime experience and I am grateful that Bravo gave me the opportunity to step into their crazy world,” said Zanuck. “I have no regrets and nothing but love for the amazing viewers that were so kind to take time out of their day and reach out to me on Twitter and comment on my blogs. We will definitely keep in touch.”

In fact, Zanuck’s candidness is quite the departure from former housewives Sheree Whitfield and Danielle Staub, who had reportedly both claimed they quit the series despite numerous reports that they were unceremoniously let go.

The only housewives that are known to have quit the series for their own spinoffs are Bethenny Frankel and Kim Zolciak, while Zanuck’s former co-star Camille Grammer and former housewife of New Jersey Dina Manzo left to start a clean slate.

“Let’s be honest, nobody is going to quit the show unless they have a spinoff because they either need the money or have a business to promote,” Zanuck told Celebuzz. “If a housewife doesn’t fall into those two categories, then perhaps she was attracted to the show by the lure of fame and in that case won’t be giving it up anytime soon.”

That said, Zanuck is not judging anyone for holding on to their 15 minutes: “Reality television is not for everyone and requires a thick skin, you go from obscurity to opening yourself up to millions of people and have to face the scrutiny and criticism,” she said.

“I have learned that it is pointless to judge others for the decisions they make because it has nothing to do with me.”

So will Zanuck return to reality TV?

“I’m not sure. I think the danger of reality television is that some people can become consumed by it,” she said.

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was not my life — it was a very, very small part of my life, a moment in time that has passed.

“I’m not the kind of person that is desperate to be on television, and the truth is, that Housewives, Selling L.A. and Million Dollar Listing L.A. found me,” she added, confirming reports that she’ll appear on the next season of another popular Bravo series.

“I was asked to film Million Dollar Listing L.A. and had a lot of fun.”

Zanuck stresses that if she returns to television, it will be on her own terms — maybe even as a producer, like her movie mogul husband, Dean Zanuck.

“I was approached to do another real estate show on Bravo, but I ultimately decided to pass,” Zanuck said. “I have access to the greatest minds in the entertainment industry and the Zanucks are very well respected and accomplished.

“If I do television again, I will tap into my resources and produce it, it will be authentic and you won’t see me partaking in any frivolous catfights… I tried acting already and wasn’t asked back,” she joked.

Zanuck says she’s enjoying her life and getting ready to expand her real estate business.

“I’m taking a break at the moment because in a few weeks I’m going to start a major business project,” she said, keeping mum on the details.

“I can say that it has nothing to do with television and everything to do with real estate and I am very excited about it.”

“I’m back to living my reality and enjoying every minute of it.”

Marisa Zanuck could be ditching the California sun to take a bite out of The Big Apple.

The Beverly Hills Housewife, who’s married to film producer Dean Zanuck, was spotted looking at swanky apartments in the Soho and Tribeca neighborhoods of Manhattan on April 1, a source tells Celebuzz.

“She was looking at lofts in the $4 and $5 million range,” said the insider.

So does this mean what we think it means?

“Marisa has an amazing life outside of the show,” the source said. “She spends a lot of time traveling and is definitely not the type of person that would sit by her phone and wait for it to ring. You never know what she is going to do next.”

Even if it means going bicoastal. But sorry, ladies, trading zip codes doesn’t mean she’ll be swapping series, too.

“Marisa doesn’t know any of the women on the New York show, so it wouldn’t make any sense,” added the source.

While it’s still unclear if Marisa will be returning to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she wrote a farewell blog that hinted at her departure: “In truth, I have moved past all of the drama, and I don’t want to acknowledge it anymore. This is my final blog and I want to dedicate it to all of you that have supported me immensely throughout this experience.”

And it’s clear now she’s moving on… and out of the 90210, saying goodbye to Kyle Richards, Kim Richards, Taylor Armstrong, Yolanda Foster, Lisa Vanderpump and Brandi Glanville.

Adrienne Maloof and Camille Grammer have also bid their farewells to another sure-to-be dramatic next season.

“Marisa is grateful for the opportunity and has an open mind about returning, but this is Bravo’s decision and she doesn’t worry about things she can’t control,” added the source.

While in NYC Marisa was seen all over Manhattan at special events and private dinners with Million Dollar Listing New York star Ryan Serhant at KTCHN, The Chew‘s celebrity chef Jason Roberts at Delmonico’s Kitchen, Vanity Fair’s George Wayne at The Plaza Hotel, and even had time to make a special appearance at XL nightclub.

In the wise words of Marisa Zanuck – “Take a chill pill and relax!”

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

On screen and off, the ladies of The Real Housewifes of Beverly Hills can never escape the drama, even if it’s on the internet. Zanuck and co-star Yolanda Foster engaged in a Twitter war of words on Tuesday, after Zanuck mentioned Foster’s name in a blog posting, which didn’t go over well with the former model.

“At the end of the day this is just manufactured drama,” Zanuck told Celebuzz. “Life is too short to take things so seriously.”

In her Bravo blog, which detailed the women’s recent misadventures in Sin City, the real estate agent recalled spilling on her dress and Foster’s shocked expression, all of which were chronicled in the episode Feb. 5: “I spilled red wine on my dress, which was enough to shift the energy temporarily. Most of the women were helpful and that was very sweet, but Yolanda just gave me a disapproving stare,” she wrote. “Not sure where that came from. All I could think was ‘Thank God I didn’t spill that red wine at Yolanda’s house because if it upset her in Vegas, I would really be up s— creek in Malibu.’”

But that wasn’t all.

“Maybe Yolanda has never spilled a drink before, which wouldn’t surprise me since her life is so pristine and perfect that it just wouldn’t fit in with her image.”

Foster later took to her Twitter to vent that the post was “bitter,” adding, “jealousy is an ugly thing, spread love sweetheart not hate…”

Zanuck, dumbfounded by the apparent attack, replied to Foster’s tweets by replying, ”I think ur reading into this more than necessary, I wouldn’t want to spill wine at anyone’s house!”

While cattiness always seems to be at the center of the hit reality show, Zanuck is ready to take her fingers off the keypad and wipe the computer screen clean by moving forward, she tells Celebuzz.

“It really saddens me that Yolanda chose a very public forum to attack me by calling me bitter and jealous,” she said. “Yolanda went on to advise me to spread love and not hate, yet her insults seem to contradict that message.

“Hello, this is about spilling wine for goodness sake.”

Marisa Zanuck isn’t baring her claws at her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star Brandi Glanville — even after the latter told cameras she wanted Zanuck to “shut the f*** up.”

“I was not surprised given that Brandi always says what she feels like saying,” the RHOBH newbie told Celebuzz in an exclusive interview. “But I don’t think she was saying it to be a b**** or to be mean.”

In a recent episode of the Bravo series, Glanville told Zanuck that she “felt bad” for her husband, Dean Zanuck, in front of their friends after the housewife admitted she ”ended up marrying the opposite of what [she's] interested in.”

However, Zanuck doesn’t think Glanville was purposefully calling her out.

“I don’t think she meant it to be cruel, but to be a friend. I think she thought I gave the vibe that I don’t want to be married, which isn’t true,” Zanuck explains. “It’s hard being married — it’s frustrating, and it takes work. But I love my husband, and I love being married.”

“[Brandi] actually called me to tell me what she said and hoped I wasn’t upset with her, and I told her I wasn’t.”

Furthermore, Zanuck explains that Glanville was just being herself in speaking her mind.

“What she doesn’t understand is that I’ve been with my husband for 17 years,” she says. “What I thought, though, was she doesn’t know me well enough to comment on it. But I don’t care about what people say.”

“It’s just Brandi being Brandi.”

Marisa Zanuck just landed on the scene of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. And so far, the real estate agent has been carefully easing herself into the drama.

But, when Celebuzz tagged along with her on a recent shopping trip at her “favorite” jewelry store, we learned that Zanuck is just as careful about choosing her baubles as she is her words on the Bravo series.

“I am a jewelry addict,” Zanuck admits while shopping at Ricardo Basta Fine Jewelry in Century City, Calif.

“Jewelry is my one passion. Clothing and purses? Not interested.”

The store only does one-of-a-kind pieces, which means exactly what you think it means: one-of-a-kind prices. Kyle Richards’ gal pal tries on some earrings and a ring with price tags ranging from $11,000 to $145,000.

But, we told you before that the movie producer’s wife isn’t one to jump in feet first – no matter how much she may want to. In the end, she settles (poor thing!) on a pair of $11k earrings.

Store co-owner, Karen Basta, tells us the geometric-design drop earrings are worth every penny. Each are set in platinum and surrounded by two 14-carat aquamarine stones and 1-carat of diamonds.

Things are already so heated on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ third season and we haven’t even met new cast member, Marisa Zanuck.

Fans won’t meet Zanuck until about Episode 8, but she stopped by the Celebuzz studio in Hollywood recently and told us why she decided to join the show.

“I’m kind of a little crazy, funny,” she explained. “I’m one of those girls who make fun of myself. I do what I feel. I do what I want. And, I just thought it would be fun.”

“I thought it would be great publicity to see if there would be any other business ventures out there for me I’m interested in doing other than real estate, which I’ve been doing for 145 years,” she added. “And I wanted to spice up my life a little bit and I hope I spiced it up in a good way not a bad way.”

Aside from her real estate career, Zanuck is married to movie producer Dean Zanuck (Jaws, Cocoon, Alice in Wonderland) and has two children. An old friend of cast member Kyle Richards (and a former coworker of her husband Mauricio), the star gave us a quick clue as to who she would be bumping heads with on the series.

When we asked who she disliked the most on the show, the realtor answered, “I have to be honest with you… I have one that I don’t like really, Taylor [Armstrong].”

She didn’t really elaborate on why, but we figured she may have learned a lesson after angry fans flooded her Twitter account over comments she made about The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice. Or not…

“[Teresa’s] kind of crazy and I know I’m going to get into a lot of trouble about this again, but that’s my opinion,” she says, standing by her previous comments. “It doesn’t mean I don’t like her. It doesn’t mean that I think she’s a horrible person. It just means I think she’s kind of mean.”
