Mariska Hargitay‘s has shelled out a whopping $10.7 million on a luxury New York townhouse .

The Law & Order: SVU beauty and her co-star husband, Peter Hermann are now the proud owners of the Manhattan masterpiece.

So what are they getting for their money?

Believe it or not, despite the huge price tag, they picked it up for less than the asking price according to Realestalker.

The modern mansion, housed on the Upper West Side near Central Park, boasts 6 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms and was originally listed for $11.49 million.

With six floors – and that’s just above ground – there is plenty of room for their three children to play too.

The couple – who are parents to one biological child, August and two adopted children, Amaya and Andrew – also own a $7 million, 7,000 square foot home in East Hamptons too.

Hargitay is the daughter of legendary actress Jayne Mansfield.

Mariska Hargitay got a mouthful from comedian Ali Wentworth, 47, on Wednesday night. On the heels of President Barack Obama‘s endorsement of gay marriage, the Law & Order: SVU actress, 48, kissed the funny lady while posing for pics at the 5th Annual Joyful Revolution Gala in New York City.

Both dressed in pale pink, the closed-mouth kiss definitely made photographers snap in their tracks. However, despite this public display of affection, both women are happily married to males, Mariska to Law and Order star Peter Hermann and Ali to Good Morning America journalist, George Stephanopoulos.

Hugh Jackman and Mariska Hargitay were two famous family heads just having a grand time this weekend.

Jackman and his family (and ridiculously cute puppy) were spotted in New York City chatting with Mariska Hargitay and her newly adopted baby. As they sauntered about, baby Amaya Josephine Hermann was introduced to Wolverine himself.
Hargitay unveiled earlier this month that she had adopted a baby, and late last week unveiled a photo of Amaya to People magazine. She said that she and her husband Peter Hermann were “deliciously happy” with the addition to the family, and that “from the minute she was born, she was just surprisingly alert and so full of love.”

“We were considering both international and domestic adoption and we’re thrilled that this is the way our prayers were answered … We talked a lot about mixed-race adoptions, and we are very excited that we are now a multi-racial family. We’re just so happy she’s here,” Hargitay added.

Mariska Hargitay is back in the hospital, a spokesperson for the actress confirms to Us magazine.

“Mariska Hargitay went to the hospital this morning after experiencing some discomfort relating to her earlier lung condition,” the rep said. “”She is undergoing routine tests and expects to be feeling better soon.”

This trip counts the third visit the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star has made in relation to the lung condition, initially reported to be a partially collapsed lung, in mid-January.

The collapse was attributed to a sledding accident Harigtay suffered over the holidays.

For die hard SVU fans, the rep also confirms that production on the show “will not be affected.”

Madonna and New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez have reportedly resumed their relationship. Page Six reports that the pop queen and A-Rod spent the weekend at the Long Island mansion of comedian Jerry Seinfeld, a home that they have visited at together before. Madonna was reportedly not enjoying her weekend, due to the discarded photos from her Hard Candy album shoot being released last week. “Madonna called up the label screaming when the photos got out,” a source says.

Photographer Emicles Da Mata is suing soccer star/model David Beckham and a Beckham bodyguard for allegedly beating him and wrecking his camera. TMZ reports that Da Mata claims that he was following Beckham on Dec. 7 2008 when Beckham pulled over and tried to wrest the camera from him through his driver’s side window. Da Mata says that Beckham’s bodyguard then pulled him out of his car and beat him, as well as throwing his camera in the trash. Da Mata is seeking unspecified damages.

Actress Mariska Hargitay has returned to work on the set of NBC’s Law & Order SVU. Hargitay was laid low with a pneumothorax (a collapsed lung) last month, and was absent from the set and also unable to attend the Golden Globes and SAG awards due to her illness. Hargitay was nominated for awards at both. No word as of yet on what caused her lung issue, according to People.

Singer Donny Osmond reports that he will be joining the competitors on Dancing With The Stars for the show’s next season in March. Beside his sister Marie (a former contestant) on the Bonnie Hunt Show, Donny said that “Well, I guess I am making an announcement. I’ll say I am seriously considering doing it, let’s put it that way.” “We don’t comment on casting rumors,” ABC stated to E!.

Matt Damon, who played superspy Jason Bourne in the successful film series, bristles when his character is compared to James Bond. “They could never make a James Bond movie like any of the Bourne films,” Damon told the Miami Herald. “Because Bond is an imperialist, misogynist sociopath who goes around bedding women and swilling martinis and killing people. He’s repulsive.”

Gossip Girl actress Kelly Rutherford has filed emergency court papers in an attempt to bar her estranged husband David Giersch from leaving the country with their two-year-old son Hermes. People reports that Rutherford, who is pregnant with their second child, filed for divorce last month after two years of marriage. She is reportedly afraid that Giersch will leave the country and disappear with their son. Rutherford mentioned in her papers that there is a pending investigation against Giersch in his native Germany which could could lead to his eventual arrest. “I feel there is some risk that he will leave the country with Hermes and I will not know where they are,” Rutherford stated.

NBC’s Deal Or No Deal host Howie Mandel was rushed to the hospital in Toronto last night with severe chest pains. TMZ reports that Mandel was found conscious in an elevator in at the Sheraton Hotel on Queen Street by police. Mandel was held overnight and being treated for an irregular heartbeat. Sources say that he wasn’t suffering from a heart attack, but from exhaustion.

Ex-Danity Kane member Aubrey O’Day will appear on the cover of the March issue of Playboy. O’Day told Us that “I’m honored to be a part of the Playboy legacy and look forward to my March cover hitting newsstands on February 13.”

A Burbank judge has approved a restraining order for Jennifer Love Hewitt against a 62-year-old stalker. TMZ reports that David Nolte has sent Love Hewitt over 100 letters detailing graphic and violent sexual fantasies involving the Ghost Whisperer actress. Nolte is banned from being anywhere near Hewitt, as well as the Universal Studios lot where she tapes her show, and her mother’s house (where Nolte showed up last month).

It’s not NBC’s day. TV Guide releases its list of highest-paid performers in television Thursday, bringing comfort to all of us who’ve been worried about the fiscal well-being of our favorite celebrities. Among the top boob-tube earners:

• Charlie Sheen takes in a whopping $825,000 per episode of Two and a Half Men. (That’s before Denise Richards‘ lawyers get done with it, of course.)

• CSI‘s William Petersen uncovers $600,000 for every episode of the crime drama.

• Mariska Hargitay of Law & Order: SVU rings up $400,000 per ep. (That’s $200,000 per breast!)

• Thanks to a recently inked deal with 20th Century Fox Television, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane is $100 million richer.

• The Simpsons‘ voice actors rake in $400,000 per episode, without ever having to show their faces.

• American Idol judge Simon Cowell picks up $50 million per year for acting like an insufferable jerk, and earns every penny of it.

“Mariska Hargitay! Mariska Hargitay!” No, we’re not talking about the actress, we mean the blessing of happiness and tranquillity that peppers Mike Myers‘ new comedy The Love Guru.

It kept the peace last night, as fans lined Hollywood Boulevard to catch a glimpse of the funnyman and buddy Justin Timberlake at the famed Grauman’s Chinese Theater.

Alas, J.T. left the renowned Speedo in the drawer for the night—probabably a bummer for Myers, who has readily admitted to a “man crush” on the “SexyBack” star. “I will confirm that [adoration],” he told Us magazine.

He recalls the water wear quite fondly, though. “What is amazing about the Speedo is they had to do a lot of special effects to reduce the size. Oh, yeah, you heard it here first, folks!”

Also on hand were the hockey flick’s stars Meagan Good, Verne Troyer (who actually is shorter than the Stanley Cup), Telma Hopkins, Romany Malco and Mariska Hargitay herself.

No doubt watching the recap on Access Hollywood was Jessica Alba, who just delivered baby Honor Marie Warren five days earlier. Safe to assume those mammaries need to stay in their corral for just a bit longer.
