From the Big Apple to Brazil, the stars have been keeping busy.

One day after NBC made the big announcement that Jimmy Fallon would take over The Tonight Show duties, the talk show host was spotted walking to his current job at Late Night. Fallon is set to move studios (though not too far — the show’s coming back to NYC) in 2014.

“Today was one of the most exciting days of my life. I read every tweet and every post and I thank you,” the former SNL star wrote on Twitter following the big news.

Elsewhere on the east coast, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith got all dolled up for the New York premiere of Free Angela and All Political Prisoners.

At a much more laid back red carpet event, Gwyneth Paltrow celebrated the launch of her new cookbook It’s All Good: Delicious, Easy Recipes that Will Make You Look Good and Feel Great at Barnes & Noble at The Grove in Los Angeles.

Over in Rio de Janeiro, a growing and glowing Fergie covered up her lovely baby bump in a wrap dress as she hit Ipanema beach with her entourage. The Black Eyed Peas singer is scheduled to be in Sao Paulo on Thursday night for the amfAR Inspiration Gala.

Michael J. Fox, Diet Pepsi (1987) The Family Ties star gets an unexpected visit from a new sexy neighbor seeking a Diet Pepsi — and he goes to great lengths to get it for her in this action-packed ad, while channeling a little Alex P. Keaton and a little Marty McFly.

Kevin Bacon, Visa (2002) In a parody of the game that bears his name, “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon,” the actor proves his identity with a spoof of “six degrees” in an effort to buy a book without ID. He says to the clerk, “Okay, I was in a movie with an extra, Eunice, whose hairdresser, Wayne, attended Sunday school with Father O’Neill, who plays racquetball with Dr. Sanjay, who recently removed the appendix of Kim, who dumped you sophomore year. So you see, we’re practically brothers.”  Well played, Kev.

Britney Spears, Pepsi (2002) Britney dances and sings her way through the many decades of Pepsi’s history starting with the ’50s. In this big-budgeted, impressively-produced ad, the pop-princess shows her range by dressing and acting the part of each decade. She continued to demonstrate her range later that year when she starred in her first movie Crossroads.

Jessica Simpson, Pizza Hut (2004) In a reference to her infamous “is this chicken…or is this fish?” question she asked during her MTV reality show, Newlyweds: Nick &  Jessica, Simpson says to her sister Ashlee, “I know, buffalos don’t have wings,” in this commercial for Pizza Hut’s buffalo chicken pizza. Thus proving that she was  in on the joke, and has a sense of humor about herself.

Pink, Britney Spears, Beyonce & Enrique Iglesias, Pepsi (2004) The power-house pop-stars sing a badass version of Queen’s “We Will Rock You” in this larger-than-life gladiator-themed Pepsi ad. Getting the three singers together at the height of their careers was already a coup, but  seeing them take down Latin heartthrob Enrique Iglesias as an evil Roman emperor was epic indeed.

Brad Pitt, Heineken (2005) Brad Pitt artfully dodges the paparazzi for a six-pack of Heineken. There isn’t much to say about this commercial that it doesn’t say for itself. It’s Brad Pitt. In a commercial. He’s hot. But it also ran during a dramatic time in Brad Pitt’s personal life — near the release of Mr. and Mrs. Smith and weeks before he broke things off with Jennifer Aniston for Angelina Jolie.

Justin Timberlake, Pepsi (2008) It may not be totally clear what was going on in this commercial which shows JT being dragged throughout New York City, but it’s fun to watch anyway. Mostly because we get to see the Sexy star being helplessly and hilariously yanked around, and there’s the added bonus of a silly cameo by a Britney’d-out Andy Sandberg. Oh, and a week after this spot aired, Timberlake won two Grammys. Per usual, Justin rocks it.

Betty White, Snickers (2010) In undoubtedly the best installment of the “You’re Not You When You’re Hungry” Snickers campaign, Betty White throws the ‘tude (while also getting knocked) around the football field. It was just one of the many hysterical Betty White moments that followed her unforgettable performance in 2009′s The Proposal.

Justin Bieber and Ozzy Osbourne, Best Buy (2011) Sharon’s bossy, Ozzy’s clueless, and Bieber saves the day in this smart Best Buy ad. There’s nothing better than when seemingly-random celebrities are paired together, and it’s even better when they poke fun at themselves. “What the F*&%’s a Beiber?” We’re sure Ozzy wasn’t the first to ask that question.

Matthew Broderick, Honda (2012) It took them long enough to do a “remake” of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Do we care that it was in an ad for a car? Nope, just as long as we get to see Broderick (who will always be Ferris to us) running around L.A. while playing hooky from acting, singing, dancing, and frolicking on the beach, all the while making inside references to the original movie. Because sometimes you really do need to stop and look around a while, because life moves pretty fast, and you could miss it.

This year we’ll be wowed by Amy Poehler, Kaley Cuoco, Paul Rudd, and more, but you’ll have to wait until Monday to see a roundup of our favorite celeb spots from this year’s game.

35In these cool fall temperatures, it seems Hollywood has caught campaign fever.

With the 2012 presidential election just around the corner, the stars are gearing up to place their votes.

But who is rooting for the incumbent President Barack Obama this time around?

If observers have learned anything over the past few weeks, it’s that celebs aren’t shy to express their political leanings. In fact, they wear them right on their sleeves — or their backs, in Madonna‘s case.

Many stars have staunchly advocated for Obama’s reelection, using their celebrity status to influence the public. And they just love to speak their political minds. From pro-Bama video messages to self-led Twitter campaigns, everyone has their own to way of endorsing their favorite candidate.

Even the less-outspoken celebs show their support by hosting mere $40,000 per-plate fundraisers, or making generous contributions to their party of choice.

But it will all come down to who can bring in the most support by Election Day, on Nov. 6.

Fans of FOX’s Raising Hope  just got their day made a bit brighter as the Season 3 premiere is now available on Twitter. The episode will be the first to play within Twitter itself and will be available on the site through Sept. 27. The third season premiere will feature Sabrina (Shannon Woodward) introducing the Chance family to her mother Tamara (Melanie Griffith). [EW]

Who will the Ferris Bueller, we mean Matthew Broderick play on the popular ABC comedy? 

Broderick is going to hang with the Dunphys on ABC’s Modern Family this season. Not surprisingly he’ll play a “neurotic friend” of Phil (Ty Burrell). No information is available as of yet regarding when he’ll appear in Season 4 but what hijinks do you think they’ll get into? [TV Guide]

Thursday’s premiere of the final season of NBC’s The Office hit a major ratings low for the epic comedy series. The episode showed a staggering 46 percent drop in the key 18-49 demographic and only garnered 4.3 million viewers for the show. NBC’s other comedies Up All Night and Parks and Recreation were also down in their ratings. (C’mon folks, watch Parks and Rec … it is amazing!) In other news, The X Factor improved by 10 percent over it’s performance last Thursday. [EW]

Yet, another Olympian has booked a gig on a television show. U.S. Olympic track and field star Kerron Clement will play an extra in the Coffeehouse on the CBS’ The Young and the Restless. The athlete said in a statement that’s he’s been a fan of the show since the 90s. [EW]

Lifetime’s Army Wives has been renewed for a seventh season. The series which is based upon the book, Army Wives: The Unwritten Code Of Military Marriage, will return with 13 episodes in 2013. [Deadline]

President Barack Obama is getting ready to party with Jay and Bey.

Music power couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé Knowles are hosting an exclusive shindig at the rapper-producer’s swanky 40/40 club in New York City on Tuesday night. The Commander-in-Chief will grace the 100-guest event — for which ticket prices run as high as $40,000 per head — and the proceeds will benefit the president’s reelection campaign.

After shooting his sit-down interview on the Late Show with David Letterman, Obama will head to a campaign event at the Waldorf Astoria before heading to Hova’s club to deliver remarks at the star-powered gathering. Reports indicate that the affair will be the POTUS’s final fundraising event in the Big Apple ahead of the Nov. 6 election.

But this certainly isn’t the first time a celebrity has their weight behind Obama’s campaign.

Ever since kicking off his re-election campaign, the president has relied on his ever-growing support network of Hollywood stars. High-profile backers like Sarah Jessica Parker, Glee creator Ryan Murphy and Tyler Perry have opened their homes to host Obama fundraisers.

Perhaps most notably, George Clooney‘s celebrity-packed dinner at his Studio City, Calif., home in May pulled in a whopping $15 million — from stars like Barbra Streisand, Robert Downey Jr., Jack Black, Billy Crystal, Salma Hayek and Tobey Maguire – all in support of keeping Obama in the White House for four more years.

Pack your bags — Sarah Jessica Parker‘s home is up for grabs!

The Sex and the City star and husband Matthew Broderick have put their Greenwich Village brownstone on the market for a whopping $25 million. But that doesn’t mean the superstar couple will be leaving the cobblestone streets of the picturesque Manhattan neighborhood anytime soon.

Though they’re longtime owners of a home on quiet, quaint Charles Street, Parker and Broderick plunked down $18.9 million for the five-story, 25-foot-wide townhouse — located at 20 East 10th Street — in March 2011, according to the New York Observer.

But the pair reportedly never packed up to switch digs.

The longtime couple and their three children, James Wilkie, almost 10, and 3-year-old twins Marion and Tabitha, stayed put in their Charles Street home.

After remaining in their first Village abode, the couple is hoping to turn a profit on their other pricy pad just off Fifth Avenue by selling it for $24.5 million through Sotheby’s.

But the hefty price-tag buys an awe-inspiring brownstone. Though they never moved in, Parker and Broderick invested in some extensive upgrades to the building.

The six-bedroom, five-bath home sprawls over 6,800 square feet in the coveted downtown NYC neighborhood. The sun-drenched townhouse boasts a full-floor master suite, a fifth-floor loft space, seven fireplaces, a state-of-the-art security system and a greenery-adorned deck and backyard, according to the 2009 listing. A buyer also may be lured in by the double parlor, 12-foot ceilings, hardwood floors and a library. And by the fact that Parker and Broderick almost lived there.

It’s Super Bowl week, and while the Giants and Patriots fans are already well underway with their trash talk, there’s another aspect to the Super Bowl that everyone goes nuts for: The commercials. And, because some companies just can’t wait to show off their big new ad, Honda has released a long version of its Ferris Bueller-inspired commercial set to air on gameday.

In the commercial, Matthew Broderick revives his old 1986 Bueller role, only in real life — with many reminders of the famed movie and also that unforgettable “chickuh-chickahhhh” song that became synonymous with the film. Matthew calls in sick for a shoot and much of the day, well, let’s just say it’s very Bueller.

He even invokes his famous quote: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop to look around once in a while, you’ll miss it” … all while a valet speeds away in his Honda CR-V.

Sadly, there’s no Cameron or Sloane cameos.

Matthew Broderick had bonding time with his twin daughters in New York City on Tuesday. The actor, who is a doting dad, took his two girls out for a walk in the West Village. It’s crazy how big Marion and Tabitha are getting!

The trio braved the rain and had a little bit of help from the family nanny, while wife Sarah Jessica Parker ran errands and picked up a few groceries around the city.

In Vogue‘s August issue, SJP candidly opened up about what it’s like raising two young twins (born via surrogate) at age 46, revealing that the twins “really look like” Matthew. Aww!

“Tabitha’s very, very outgoing, but physically she’s very shy. She shakes in elevators; it’s very sweet, like Bambi. And then Loretta is pale, like my husband, with piercing blue eyes. But she’s physically bold… I think it’s funny how much she looks like my husband. Except then I look at Loretta and she has my husband’s mouth and sort of sad eyes, you know the kind that go down? The Broderick eyes. They both really look like him.”

In the article, Sarah claims being an “older” parent has made her wiser, and she isn’t complaining about those sleepless nights that come from caring for two young babies. So which parent are the twins looking more like today? She says:

I loved playing her, and it changed my life in lots of wonderful ways, but I’m not a crazy shoe lady, I don’t think about fashion all day long, although I have a great respect for the industry… I ultimately chose to stop doing the television series because I felt like it required, and deserved, a lot of time when I really wanted to be a parent.”

The pair got in some father-son bonding time as they strolled together, taking in the gorgeous weather in New York City. Matthew has been playing daddy duty a lot lately, as SJP works on her latest films, New Years Eve and I Don’t Know How She Does It.

Last weekend, Sarah had a girls’ day out with her daughters. The Sex and the City star and her twin girls, one-and-a-half-year-olds Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge, hung out at the Greenwich Village playground in New York City.

The actress and her husband welcomed twin daughters via a surrogate mother in the summer of 2009.

Nicole Kidman, 43, and Keith Urban, also 43, are the most recent stars to utilize surrogacy when it comes to having an A-list baby. Their daughter Faith Margaret Kidman Urban was born healthy to a surrogate mother on December 28, 2010.

The general public often looks to celebrities for tips on life, so it’s only fitting that celebrities who have used surrogates to bear their children have helped reduce the stigma surrounding the process.

Matthew increased his cool factor by busting out the ol’ scooter, putting on his nicest Member’s Only jacket, slappin’ on his shades and taking his adorable little son for a spin around New York.

We guess this goes to show you that even if you are a mega-famous movie star married to one of the most fashionable women in the world, you can still get goofy with your kids.

Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick and Tabitha Hodge Broderick were born last week at the East Ohio Regional Hospital to a surrogate mother. Sarah holds Marion, while her husband Tabitha.

The other child in the pic? Their seven year old son James Wilkie.

UPDATE: According to ABC News, reps for Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick hadve released info on the new arrivals, including names and birth weights.

“Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are delighted to announce the healthy arrival of their two daughters,” reads the reps’ statement. “Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick weighed 5 lbs, 11 oz and Tabitha Hodge Broderick weighed 6 pounds. Both Hodge and Elwell are family names on Parker’s side. The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon.”

Congratulations, it’s two girls!

People magazine reports that Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband, Matthew Broderick, have welcomed twin daughters into the world, the result of a surrogate pregnancy.

According to a spokesperson for East Ohio Regional Hospital, “everything’s good” with the new arrivals, who were born on Tuesday.

Parker’s Sex and the City co-star, Kim Cattrall, offered her thoughts on the births shortly after the announcement.

“I’m thrilled for Sarah, Matthew and [their son] James Wilkie,” Cattrall said. “More ‘fabulous girls’ are joining our SATC family.”

The couple’s son, James Wilkie, was born in October 2002, but Parker has long made it known that she would also like a daughter.

“She has definitely wanted to have a girl,” her SATC co-host Mario Cantone notes. “She’s going to have so much fun bringing the two girls up and teaching them to be young ladies.”

Congratulations to the happy couple and their newly expanded family.

Holy surprise babies!

A rep for Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick has announced that they’re expecting twin girls through a surrogate pregnancy, the Associated Press reports.

The couple, who already have a six-year-old son, James Wilkie, are expecting the new arrivals this summer.

According to their rep, both Parker and Broderick are “overjoyed”  at the impending double bundles of joy.

Meanwhile, SJP has another big arrival to prepare for—the highly anticipated sequel to the Sex and the City movie, which is due to hit screens a little more than a year from now.

Good thing Parker and Broderick are going the surrogate route—otherwise the writers might have a lot of revising to do.

Much like jewels and shoes, nothing shines on the red carpet more than A-list couples.

Matthew Broderick and wife Sarah Jessica Parker attended the opening of Broadway’s The American Plan at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in New York City.

Parker, 43, wore a white coat over a black polka-dot dress.

The couple were at the opening of the play to support its director, David Grindley, who will direct Broderick, 46, in The Philanthropist on Broadway later this year.

Sarah used the occasion to refuse to address rumors of her marriage woes.

“This is date night. It was really lovely,” she told People. “We don’t even bother to address [rumors].”

Meanwhile, after news of an upcoming Sex and the City movie sequel spilled through the media yesterday like an overturned cosmo, Parker gave her thoughts on the subject:

“That’s what I’ve heard, but I wouldn’t say that is the most official thing you’ll ever read.”

Of course, that’s not the first time she’s acted coy regarding the hit book/TV/movie franchise. She gave co-star Kim Cattrall a verbal PR spanking in the fall after Cattrall prematurely blurted out that the sequel was a go.

Hmmm. Does that mean there’s a chance her marriage isn’t quite wrapped in the throes of ecstasy, as well?

Sarah Jessica Parker is reportedly shopping around for a new home in Manhattan.

Star reports that SJP is moving out on husband Matthew Broderick, possibly due to this past summer’s allegations of an affair on his part.

The Sex and the City star, 43, is allegedly consulting a real-estate broker to find her own place in the city. The couple share a son, James Wilkie, who is 6 and goes to school in Manhattan.

“The time has come when she realizes it just isn’t worth it,” a “friend of the couple” said. “Sarah Jessica is determined to get her own place and bring down the curtain on her marriage.”

The magazine also cites another source as claiming the two live “separate lives.”

Parker has had a rough time of it ever since tabloids began blaring that Broderick, 46, cheated on her in New York City while she was filming her blockbuster Sex and the City movie in Los Angeles.

She also recently weathered the distraction of having to rein in her co-star Kim Cattrall when Cattrall announced on British television that the sequel to the movie was a done deal.

Parker, a fashionista icon as both herself and her SATC character Carrie Broadshaw, issued a statement to Cattrall’s contrary.
