NBC may not know what you want, but Ellen DeGeneres does. Unfortunately, just because they played friends on television doesn’t mean the cast of Friends is friends in real life, as Jennifer Aniston finds out in this clip.

On the show, Aniston also talks about the possibilty of an actual Friends reunion, and whether or not she’d take part. Spoiler alert: she dodges answering definitively.

Dearest hockey fans in Canada, USA and beyond, it’s officially day one of the 2013 National Hockey League playoffs.

Some of Hollywood’s finest have surely secured their VIP seats for teams like the New York Rangers (Spike Lee), the Vancouver Canucks (Cory Monteith, Cobie Smulders) and the Chicago Blackhawks (Vince Vaughn), teams that will vie for Lord Stanley’s Cup this year.

The Los Angeles Kings, who had a fairly strong regular season, will no doubt get the loudest cheer from Tinseltown during the playoffs. In Celebuzz’s round up of famous hockey fans, more than half of the stars featured are Kings fans. This ever-expanding group includes the likes of Jason Bateman, Will Ferrell, Alyssa Milano, Katy Perry and Matthew Perry.

Unfortunately for Carrie Underwood and her hockey player husband Mike Fisher, the Nashville Predators will be sitting this one out — the Preds finished near dead last in the Western Conference.

Hey! How is your Wednesday going? Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that Friends reunion you’re all flipping out about is a complete myth.

The rumor began after Star Media wrote, “NBC network reportedly confirmed they will launch a new season of Friends on 2014, it was supposed to be about their story in acomeback reunion! [all sic]” What even is Star Media? What does that sentence even mean?

Star Media goes on to say, “It’s still unknown if the original actors will accept NBC’s deal, but the dream of ‘Friends’ reunion is closer than ever!”

Haha, nope.

It’s not surprising the Internet took this lone report and ran with it. Fans have dreamed of a Friends reunion practically from the moment the last episode aired in 2004. And, hey, 10 years sounds like a good time for a reunion, right? But there is no way that NBC would green-light an entire new season of one of its most beloved shows without the original actors. That would be a bigger flop for the network than Animal Practice, and at a time when the Peacock Network could really use a hit.

This doesn’t necessarily mean there won’t ever be a reunion, but I wouldn’t hold your breath for that, either. Last year, Jennifer Aniston told MTV, “No, there will be none. I don’t think so. Wouldn’t that be weird? I would be like, ‘Oh, God, why did they do that?’” Other cast-members have voiced their distaste for the idea of a reunion as well. Matt LeBlanc told Entertainment Weekly, “I don’t want to see old Joey” and David Schwimmer has said “I don’t think I would [play Ross again].”

The fallout begins.

Hollywood is reacting to Lance Armstrong’s confession to Oprah that he used illegal substances during his famous cycling career. Celebuzz has compiled a list of celebrity reactions to the somber interview.

One-time Armstrong pal Rita Wilson was irked by his definition of a cheat. Armstrong told Oprah that he looked up the definition and didn’t feel that it pertained to him – in fact, he claimed that using drugs was “a level playing field.”

Wilson retorted on her Twitter: “CHEAT (noun) A person who behaves dishonestly in order to gain an advantage. Lance left out the “behaves dishonestly” part, right?”

Other celebs voiced their disgust with the Livestrong founder via Twitter during the exclusive 90-minute special.

Former Friends star Matthew Perry said, “I always want to make sure Oprah is on MY side” as he watched the cyclist come clean after years of vehement denials about his drug use.

On Thursday, Oprah opened the interview with some key yes-or-no questions in what was arguably the most blunt and straight-forward part of the admission. He confessed to taking testosterone, banned substances, and Human Growth Hormone to boost his performances in the sport’s most prestigious race, the Tour de France, for seven years.

Matthew Perry is getting in on the real estate action once again.

After an unsuccessful first try at selling his modern hilltop mansion almost a year ago, it’s been reported that Friends actor Matthew Perry has enlisted his estate again.

But this time, it comes with a price.

The Go On star re-listed his $5.295 mansion, reducing the price by $400,000 — a great get for the L.A. hilltop property on Carmen Crest Drive, but not for Perry’s wallet.

Floor-to-ceiling glass walls, glistening white terrazzo floors, a large patio and a pool to-die-for. Plus, a mouth-watering view of the beautiful city of Los Angeles, Calif. is what the lucky taker will get.

Forget about skyscrapers — it’s all about nature with Perry’s former abode that includes glimpses of colorful hillsides and spectacular canyons.

Featuring three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, an intricate gourmet kitchen, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, and a home theater, this celeb cul-de-sac property should sell fast.

But Perry definitely isn’t new to the real estate market.

He actually had a whopping three homes listed at once last year – each with a common theme: modern, contemporary, and impeccable landscaping.

There really is something comfortable about having Matthew Perry back at the home of his iconic buddy sitcom, Friends. And NBC knows it.

The network dispatched Perry to host its 2012 Primetime Preview show in which the star of NBC’s new comedy, Go On, returned to his old stomping grounds.

In his latest reincarnation on the small screen, Friends star Matthew Perry takes on a new role on NBC’s fall comedy series, Go On. Previously previewed during the Olympics, NBC gives viewers another look at the new comedy on Tuesday at 10 PM.

Perry plays sportscaster Ryan King, who is forced to seek group therapy after his wife passes away. In an effort to get the mandatory time over with, he attends his first group and tries to avoid the therapy part with group fun and games.

Along the way, he butts heads with the group’s leader, Lauren (Playboy Club’s Laura Benanti) and discovers that he may need the group more than he thinks.

What’s the bottom line on Go On?

Who’s who: Aside from Perry and Benanti, the cast is filled with comedic standouts. Harold & Kumar’s John Cho plays Ryan’s fast-talking boss. Tony award winner Julie White (Transformers) gives a nice take on Anne, an aggressive fellow griever. And Brett Gelman (30 Minutes or Less) brings a strange humor to therapy group member, Mr. K.

The Buzz: Besides being Perry’s latest stab at TV comedy, the producing staff of the show represents some of the medium’s most unique comedies. Joining Emmy-winning writer/executive producer Scott Silveri (Perfect Couples, Friends) are EPs Todd Holland (Malcolm in the Middle), Karey Nixon (Free Agents, Miss/Guided) and Jon Pollack (Up All Night, 30 Rock).

Workin’: Almost halfway through the pilot episode, the viewer realizes why we can like these people. There’s a certain amount of heart that enters the show that maybe could’ve been brought in a bit earlier.

Not so much: We understand that the sports radio gig helps with some change of pace from the therapy scenes. Let’s just say we don’t care much about it yet and felt we were clocking out at the station. But, if the series can get around to making those characters less one-dimensional on the following episodes, we may check back in to work.

Celebuzz meter (1-10): 7. There’s certainly potential here, though there were few LOLs until possibly the very fun end scene. So, once Perry and the other characters settle into the parts and don’t hit the punch lines so heavily, this series could raise some spirits.

Go On officially premieres on Sept. 11 at 9 PM on NBC.

Friends star Matthew Perry is returning once again to the small screen with Go On, an NBC sitcom reuniting him with Friends writer-producer, Scott Silveri.

When fans tune in on September 11, they might find that Perry’s new character, Ryan King, bears some resemblance to Chandler Bing from the sitcom that launched his career.

“Chandler was a guy who had this built-in excuse to be funny, because he didn’t want to talk about anything serious and he’d joke around all the time,” Perry said. “That was certainly an element that I related to. I think I do that a lot less now than I’m older.”

What is the actor tackling on his new sitcom?

Perry plays a sportscaster who attends grief counseling after losing his wife in an accident. No stranger to counseling, Perry spent years battling addiction.

“That was another thing I related to on the show,” he revealed. “I’ve spent a lot of my life in circles talking about my problems.”

Since Friends, Perry has been in several failed TV series, including last year’s Mr. Sunshine, also on NBC, and a recurring role on The Good Wife.

“The truth is that I’m not qualified to do anything,” he joked about his on-again-off-again career. “There’s nothing else I can do. I’m not good at anything else, so I have to do this.”

With fond memories of his days on Friends, he and producer Silveri are hoping for guest starring appearances by Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc — but not right away.

“I would be open to that kind of thing if that happened,” offered Perry. “I think it would be a mistake to do it early on, because we’re trying to set up something new and different.”

As far as getting his career and life back on track, Perry offered one tip. “You just remove all pleasure from your life,” he joked. “If I went, ‘Hey, that felt good!’ Gone, that thing goes away.”

Nick Jonas isn’t a jerk, but he does enjoy playing one on TV.

The Jonas Brothers hunk dished about his surprisingly un-Nick role in ABC’s Mr. Sunshine during a recent appearance on MTV’s The Seven (via MTV’s Buzzworthy blog).

“I was approached by [star] Matthew Perry and his team about doing this role and it seemed like a lot of fun to do something different from myself,” Nick told Seven host Kevin Manno about his decision to do the show. “I play a jerk on the show which is not my personality.”

On the new show, Nick plays Eli, a tweener pop star with a bad attitude and diva demands. The character is quite the departure for Nick who’s previous TV work consisted of playing a character loosely based on himself on Disney Channel’s JONAS (RIP).

However, just because Eli is a jerk doesn’t mean that there are some nods to Disney-style pop acts on Mr. Sunshine– when Matthew’s character refers to Eli as a “pop star” the young star scoffs and declares that he is a rock star. “You do have your own Saturday morning cartoon show though, right,” Matthew’s character asks.

As for Nick’s real life diva demands, the sweet pop star reveals that he doesn’t have many requests but that he does enjoy drinking pineapple juice backstage. Hey, we’ve all heard of weirder demands, Nick!

After learning the sad news of Courteney Cox and David Arquette’s separation, Celebuzz decided to check in with the rest of the Friends cast to see about their relationship stati. The stars of the much-celebrated show have certainly had their ups-and-downs when it comes to love.

Her mother is extremely controlling and demands to know all the goings-on in the star’s life. The actress calls her at least twice a day explaining her recent projects, her relationships and her day to day activities and problems. The Kindness of A-listers:

This A list movie and formerly television actress (and it pains me to call her A list), did something really nice on the set of her most recent flop (although it was supposed to do much, much better). On the set, she met a cameraman who spoke to our actress about the fact that his mother was dealing with a life threatening illness. She always took time to talk to him, listen to him and ask about his mother. She went way out of her way everyday to check up on him and the condition of his mother. After filming ended, the mother passed away. Our actress sent flowers and a very long letter to the cameraman consoling him for his loss. (Crazy Days and Nights)

Not-So-Sunny:

All actors have their ups and downs in their career. Some have them independently of a career. This actors’ previous series attempt have flopped quickly. Although he has recovered each time to land another gig, the failure is starting to take a personal toll on him. His sunny personality is gone, he’s gaining weight, and is spending every night in a bar, drinking away his rejection. Nothing funny about that. Friends are trying to distract him right now while his latest flop burns off episodes over the summer. (Blind Gossip)

All the big players of Young Hollywood showed up to the red carpet premiere of 17 Again at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California, on Tuesday night.

Zac Efron looked like a real movie star in his slick, dark suit and side-swept hair. The heartthrob was met by hundreds of screaming fans, who showed up with hopes of catching a glimpse of the teen idol.

He told E.T, “It’s amazing. It’s a crazy feeling but I’m very excited. These are fans have been with me for a very long time so I’m glad they’re with me on this next step.”

Other stars on the red carpet included the rest of the cast, Matthew Perry, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Leslie Mann, along with Zac’s girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, and Disney stars Amanda Bynes, The Jonas Brothers, and Brittany Snow.

He’s cute, but cute enough to cause a girl to require medical attention?

Zac Efron premiered his new film 17 Again in London last night, and it became a mob scene of screaming London schoolgirls looking to take his pic, touch his hair and view their High School Musical obsession in person.

Fans, some with hearts and “Zac” painted on their faces, began lining up at 7AM in Leicester Square in London just to get a glimpse of their idol, according to the Daily Mail.

In fact, the girls became so frenzied that one young woman was said to have collapsed and had to be taken from the crowd by paramedics to be checked over. The vapors!

In the movie, Zac plays a younger version of Matthew Perry after he is magically turned back into a teenager and has to counsel his children through high school.

Hopefully some of the advice he imparts to her in the film includes a warning against getting so worked up over a movie star that you need an ambulance.

The cast of Friends is returning for a lightning round, with the green light given for a movie version. According to insiders who dished to the Daily Mail, filming should begin “within the next 18 months.”

Encouraged by the financial success of the Sex and the City big-screen adaptation, the stars of the show—most notably Jennifer Aniston—are finally ready to reprise their roles from the long-running sitcom.

In a scenario that sounded all too familiar to the SATC ladies, everyone had been hoping since 2004 for a movie to happen, except for Aniston.

However, the climate has changed, according to the source. “As the biggest star of the Friends franchise, Jennifer can’t help but look at what’s happened with Sarah Jessica Parker and the Sex and the City film and be a little jealous.”
