X Factor supremo Simon Cowell is known for his love of beautiful women — and True Blood’s stunning “shape-shifter” Janina Gavankar is the latest lady to take his fancy.

The pair dined out together at Cecconi’s restaurant in West Hollywood after initially flirting with one another on Twitter.

And although this season’s X Factor is about to reach its conclusion, the man behind bringing the hit FOX show to America is no closer to finding the love of his life.

In fact, recently the 52-year-old music mogul seems to be carrying out his very own private auditions to find his perfect partner.

Cowell split with former fiancée Mezhgan Hussainy earlier this year, but the pair was spotted shopping together in Beverly Hills only last month.

It was widely reported that Cowell generously gifted the make-up artist a $5 million mansion in Los Angeles and that the pair have remained close.

Former Playboy pin-up, Carmen Electra, is another stunner who’s come under Cowell’s radar recently after the pair dined-out with a group of friends at Cecconi’s in West Hollywood in September.

And it seems Gavankar may have some competition, with Electra joining Cowell at The X Factor live show on Wednesday night, where a source tells Celebuzz not only did the TV judge bring the brunette beauty as his guest, he showed his affection for her too.

“He full on kissed her at the show in front of the audience,” a source told Celebuzz.

Although Electra has been coy about their relationship, telling Celebuzz they are “just friends,” adding, “I really like him, he’s a cool guy,” fellow X Factor judge L.A. Reid couldn’t help but notice their sparks. He tweeted a photo of the twosome from the show, “Didn’t mean to, but got in the middle of @SimonCowell and @carmenelectra #LoveBirds,” wrote Reid, who revealed Thursday he won’t be coming back to the show next year.

But she better not hold her breath, because Cowell is also still very friendly with three former British girlfriends — 80s singer Sinitta, former glamour model Jackie St. Clair and television presenter Terri Seymour.

But at the moment is seems that Cowell has a thing for Gavankar — who plays sexy Luna Garza on HBO’s vampire hit True Blood.

And it was Cowell who initiated the relationship with the exotic beauty from Joliet, Ill., right before his 5 million Twitter followers last month after he wrote: “Hello trouble. Simon x.”

Gavankar replied: “Who me?? #Definitely me,” to which he answered: “yes you. x”

So, just what do all these beautiful women see in the man who has carved out a reputation for himself as being one of the meanest talent show judges ever?

Maybe the answer comes from Cowell himself.

In an interview UK’s The Guardian newspaper last year, he admitted to being more than generous with his exes after a break-up.

“You can’t have somebody in your life who’s become accustomed to a certain thing and just because you don’t want to be in the relationship any more say to them, ‘Now everything is cut off.’ That doesn’t make sense,” he revealed.

So, it definitely pays to date Cowell, no matter the outcome.

Whoever said you can’t be friends with your ex wasn’t referring to Simon Cowell.

The X Factor judge ended his engagement to Mezhgan Hussainy earlier this year, but he’s asked the gorgeous makeup artist to act as interior designer for his three Beverly Hills homes.

What’s the inside scoop on Cowell and his former flame?

“They’re closer than ever,” a source close to the couple tells Celebuzz. “He respects her advice.”

And she has plenty of tips for the acerbic Brit — especially on how to decorate his mansions in the posh 90210 zip code. He purchased the third last October, with each being just a few miles of each other.

“He bought the house so when his friends and family visit Los Angeles, they have a place to stay,” the source said of 59-year-old Cowell. “They’re getting ready to start all the work.”

The four-bedroom contemporary home has a rich Hollywood history: previous owners include Pillow Talk producer Ross Hunter, Singin’ in the Rain set decorator Jacques Mapes and AEG Live CEO Randy Phillips. Designed by famed architect Hal Levitt and nestled near the mountains of Beverly Hills, the estate cost Cowell a cool $15.5 million – but that’s nothing compared to the cash he spent on his other digs.

One of the other mansions came with a price tag of $25 million; Hussainy completed remodeling that pad in April.

And she’s not just decorating the lap of luxury: she’s living in it, too: Cowell reportedly gifted Hussainy with an $8 million home after they parted ways. The two had spent three years together.

“They have a complicated relationship but remain very close,” said our source. “He trusts her completely.”
