Dexter costars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter were spotted cuddling together in Venice Beach, CA, on Wednesday – an interesting occurrence considering they, you know, finalized their divorce last December.

This is the second recent sighting of Michael and Jennifer together. Earlier this moth, they were seen catching up over some coffee in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile on their hit Showtime show, the writers are toying with some possible romance between the onscreen brother-sister duo (ew!) now that Jennifer’s character knows that Dexter isn’t her biological sibling.

Hall and Jennifer Carpenter reunited for some coffee Wednesday afternoon in Los Angeles.

The former husband and wife went for the incognito look as they caught up, each wearing sunglasses and jeans, as cameras snapped away. Hall was also seen rocking a pretty hefty-size beard.

According to reports, the couple separated in August, 2010, before Jennifer filed for divorce in December of that year, citing irreconcilable differences.

Making his case as the sexiest Mike around is Dexter star Michael C. Hall. The guy has singlehandedly made a serial killer desirable. That’s gotta get earn him some points! And luckily for us, Dexter has been renewed for two more seasons.

Michael Pitt might not be a loveable serial killer, but he is a loveable gangster! As the young Jimmy Darmody, Pitt gets to showcase his hot physique while trying to become the leader of the Atlantic City mob in HBO’s hit show Boardwalk Empire. This Leonardo DiCaprio lookalike is off the market! He’s been dating model Jamie Bochert for the past couple of years.

Even though Michael B. Jordan is the youngest of the bunch, that doesn’t mean he lacks in the sex appeal department. The 24-year-old California native made his mark as hot quarterback Vince Howard on Friday Night Lights. The same day that news broke that the Dexter has split with his co-star/wife, Jennifer Carpenter, Hall was spotted leaving Kings Road Cafe in Los Angeles. Noticeably absent from Hall’s finger? A wedding ring.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Dexter co-stars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter have filed for divorce. The couple, who met on the set of the hit series, were married on December 31, 2008.
A joint statement for the actors’ representatives notes,

“Having been separated for some time, Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C. Hall have filed for divorce.”

According to the reps, the split was amicable.

Hall had previously been married to actress Amy Spanger from 2002 to 2006.

The Dexter star wore a white one-shoulder gown with a small cut-out on her right side. Julie is rooting for co-star Michael C. Hall who is up for his fourth Emmy nomination for Dexter.

Hot young things like Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, Rumer Willis and Micah Alberti and newlyweds Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter sent a healthy dose of love buzz flying through the ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Representing for the romantic institutions out there, Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon, Heidi Klum and Seal, Laura Dern and Ben Harper and (of course) Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie smiled and waved.

And now they’re married! The pair are said to have eloped on New Year’s Eve. They had been quietly dating for over a year.

“They were married outdoors in Big Sur, California,” the wedded couple’s rep Craig Bankey told E! Online.

The site notes that Jennifer, 29, carried a bouquet of white roses with her grandfather’s wedding band attached.

It’s the second marriage for Hall, 37, who was previously married to his Broadway Chicago co-star Amy Spanger for four years. They split in 2006.

The newly-married couple will appear together on the red carpet at tonight’s Golden Globe Awards ceremony, where Hall is up for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series—Drama, and Dexter is competing for Best Television Series—Drama.

After wrapping up its third season last year, the series has been picked up by Showtime for an additional two more 12-episode runs.

But one thing he probably didn’t have in mind when signing on was stabbing a stunt actor—almost fatally—with a real knife while shooting a scene.

Contact Music reports that Smits was to stab action man Jeff Chase with a prop knife, but accidentally grabbed a real blade.

“For the scene, I was bound in Saran Wrap, duct tape over my mouth. I couldn’t say a thing as I saw Jimmy grab at the knife,” recounts Chase. “He picked up the real one by pure mistake. It was a mean looking knife.”

Dexter lead actor Michael C. Hall caught what was about to happen and apparently yelled for Smits to stop, but it was too late, says Chase.

“I felt the thud in my chest… I had a piece of acrylic clear plastic about the size of a Post-it note over my heart… In eight out of 10 takes with the prop knife, Jimmy had missed the plastic. But by a miracle, an act of God, the knife landed at the very edge of the plastic.”

Accidents on the set seem to be running rampant in Hollywood lately. But thankfully Jeff survived.
