Evans is no new face to the industry though, having brought his talents to the big screen for over a decade now. With Captain America set to hit theaters this weekend, Celebuzz took a look back at Evans’ career and his most memorable roles to date.

Not Another Teen Movie – Jake Wyler (2001)
During the heyday of spoof comedies, Evans got his first big break in Not Another Teen Movie as Jake Wyler, resident dumb jock and the most popular guy in school. A parody of the most memorable teen movies of the 90’s and 80’s, including The Breakfast Club, Bring It On and Cruel Intentions, NATM played primarily on the plot of She’s All That, with Evan’s character betting that he can turn a hopeless geek into the prom queen.

The Perfect Score – Kyle (2004)
Next up for the hunky actor was the teen heist film The Perfect Score. Evan’s starred alongside Erika Christensen and Scarlett Johansson as a group of high school students who plot to steal the answers to the SAT exam. Evans plays the role of Kyle, a senior desperate to secure his spot in the architecture program at Cornell University.

Cellular – Ryan (2004)
Evans graced the big screen again in 2004 with the thriller film Cellular, working alongside Kim Basinger, Jessica Biel and Jason Statham. Evans played the part of Ryan, an unlikely hero who must rescue Jessica Martin (Kim) from her kidnappers when she randomly calls his cell phone pleading for help.

Fantastic Four – Johnny Storm/Human Torch (2005)
The actor first flexed his superhero muscles alongside Jessica Alba in 2005’s Fantastic Four. Evans played the role of Johnny Storm, a hotheaded astronaut who gains his powers when the spacecraft he is on is bombarded with cosmic rays, transforming him into the Human Torch. The film was a success at the box office, and a sequel to the film was released in 2007, entitled Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World – Lucas Lee (2010)
Evans made a memorable appearance in the comedy Scott Pilgrim vs. the World as Lucas Lee, a popular actor, skateboarder and evil ex-boyfriend. Scott Pilgrim, played by Michael Cera, must defeat Lee in order to date his dream girl, one of Lee’s ex-girlfriends.

Can you give us any hints about what’s coming up on Childrens Hospital?

Yes…a TV first, someone dies on camera. That, and jokes.

The show started off as a web series for thewb.com, we spoke to your co-star Rob Huebel who said you guys never planned on Childrens Hospital becoming a TV series – were you happy it got picked up?

It was certainly not our plan at all. As a matter of fact I gave a lot of interviews saying I wasn’t interested [in turning it into a TV series]. But that was before I became aware of the 15 minute format and I thought that would be perfect for the show. Anything more than that would be a relentless joke barrage. So we were in a low stakes bidding war between Comedy Central and Adult Swim. [Laughs]

Do you think the show would be different if it wasn’t on Adult Swim?

Well those are the only two places a show like ours could exist. But, I definitely think Adult Swim is closer to our sensibility, that isn’t to say I wouldn’t fit with Comedy Central’s programming; however, the executive we were pitching to [at Comedy Central] started giving us notes at the pitch meeting. [Laughs] And we haven’t gotten a note from Adult Swim to this day so I think we picked the right home.

You play off a lot of medical shows on Childrens Hospital – were you a fan of medical shows before you started filming?

Not really, I was a fan of St. Elsewhere, that was one of my favorite shows of all time…and I liked M.A.S.H., but that’s about it. I was never a fan of ER, and I only sporadically watched Grey’s Anatomy, but when I started writing this show I would watch those for inspiration. Recently I started watching House, and I love that show, that’s a big inspiration for the current show, but that’s more of a procedural detective drama than anything else, so we started parodying TV drama more than just medical shows.

You have a ton of great guest stars on the show (Nick Offerman, Jon Hamm, etc.) are there any stars you’d like to work with in the future?

Yeah, I’d like to find a way to see Michael Cera rather than just hear him. Other than that, I’m sort of cutting down on guest stars in the season we’re writing now because we have a great cast and I don’t want to waste them. I only want a guest star if it’s really necessary. I’ll write a story and I say if this story can be told with the doctors in the hospital, I’d much rather do it that way. Of course, people bring their kids to a hospital, so it is conducive to hiring guest stars, so we will always be counted on for some fun cameos.

You also live-tweeted the show’s premiere, do you enjoy using that to interact with fans?

Yeah, it’s a good way to interact with fans or at least to take the temperature of the fans is to search #childrenshospital [on Twitter]. But live-tweeting the premiere was almost impossible because we were trying to figure out how many jokes per minute we could fit in… it was almost impossible. I also have almost 1.3 million followers and I’d say most of those followers do not watch Childrens Hospital. So they were mostly annoyed that I was taking up their feed.

I have to ask – everyone at Celebuzz are big Hot Tub Time Machine fans, would you ever join on for a sequel?

I would do it in a second, first of all. Second of all, I think the chances are slim to none. One, because we didn’t make a huge splash opening weekend, and that’s kind of what its all about. We were sort of the-movie-that-could after a while, and it ended up doing pretty well, but it didn’t make a huge splash. Also, our studio is bankrupt. They can’t even make a Bond movie now, I doubt that they’re angling to make a Hot Tub 2.

Emma stars in the upcoming film, Easy A, a modern-day adaptation of The Scarlet Letter. She also played Michael Cera’s honey in Superbad and landed the lead role in the forthcoming big-screen adaptation of the best-seller, The Help. She tells ASOS she pushes herself hard, saying, “There is an immense amount of pressure.”

Michael Cera and Jason Schwartzman have been doing what they do best: clowning. The two funny men recently spent a pantsless Saturday prancing about town, shopping, bike riding and even jazzercising for GQ. However, their fun came to a screeching halt when, during a recent guest appearance on Good Morning Atlanta, Michael Cera was run over, proving once again that it’s all fun and games and freeballin’ until somebody gets nailed by a bus.

In other “Pilgrim” news, Jason Schwartzman announced yesterday on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that he and his wife of one year, clothing designer Brady Cunningham, are expecting their first child in December.

On the rom-com side, aside from looking classy at the Eat Pray Love premiere, Julia Roberts faced off against Jennifer Aniston in a “Battle of the Babs” — where both actresses dressed up like Barbra Streisand for seperate magazines, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar, respectively.

In addition to the advertising campaigns and red carpet affairs, the Home Shopping Network held a 72-hour sell-a-thon for all things Eat Pray Love.

In a hilarious interview with Playboy magazine (via Huffington Post), Michael jokingly tells the lad mag what his worst pick-up line is:

Hey, lady, those are some sexy-*ss extensions. I guess you won’t mind if I extend to you a personal invitation to party with me one-on-one in a scary motel room.

Okay, that is pretty bad, but also pretty hilarious. We can only hope that Michael actually said that to a woman and didn’t just make it up for a laugh.

Michael also goes on to jokingly lament the fact that there are not enough women his age who are brave enough to approach him:

Yes [I like women who take charge], but they’re hard to find. For example, when I go out to a restaurant I know every girl in there wants to come say hi and be sexually aggressive, but they’re all so gripped by shyness that they don’t even make a move. In some cases the shyness is so severe they won’t even look at me.

So is that an invitation for all women to approach you and be sexually aggressive? Be careful what you wish for…

Luckily, The Biebs broke it all down for us in the New York Times, revealing that he actually employs the services of a “swagger coach” to teach him the ancient Jedi-like mysteries of, um, swagger. His name is Ryan Good, he’s a former assistant to Bieber’s mentor Usher and, as the “One Time” singer puts it, he “helps me and teaches me different swaggerific things to do.”

CNET reports that casting for the upcoming film The Social Network—which will chronicle the rise of Facebook—is starting to shape up, and both Shia LaBeouf and Michael Cera are being considered for the role of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

CNET’s source says that Superbad actor Cera currently has the inside edge, because his overall likability would make audiences more sympathetic to the Zuckerberg character. (What; are there people in the world who don’t find Shia LaBeouf likable?)

The script for the movie, which is based on Ben Mezrich‘s upcoming book The Accidental Billionaires, was written by West Wing guru Aaron Sorkin. Actor Kevin Spacey is among the movie’s producers.

Time will tell whether Cera or LaBeouf get the role—if the producers don’t decide to go with someone else altogether.

Juno‘s Michael Cera, 20, appears in a hellacious video clip in which he verbally attacks the crew of his upcoming film Youth in Revolt.

In the clip (check it out above) Cera seems be incensed about a note that was left in his trailer accusing him of having behavioral problems.

And that’s when the “f-bombs” start a-flyin’.

“If this movie’s worth watching, it will be a f**king miracle!” he bellows, after calling the crew “amateurs.”

Given that Cera usually comes off with all the ferocity of a baby lamb, the outburst is highly uncharacteristic of the Canadian thespian.

Of course, it’s also possible that Cera is spoofing the recent Christian Bale meltdown audio clip , which has already spawned about a zillion imitators on the Web.
